Let me tell you, this place has it figured out. They offer several chicken sandwiches, all made with chicken tenders. While I usually prefer a classic chicken breast patty, these were absolutely delicious--and from a cost and efficiency standpoint, using tenders just makes sense. Both sandwiches my husband and I ordered were fantastic, and we'll definitely be back. Our server was phenomenal--one of the nicest we've had in this area, and we've had plenty of great ones. The ambiance was also wonderful; it felt homely, with lots of people who seemed to know each other. Great experience all around!

We stopped by the Ironwood Tavern for a late lunch around 2:00ish. There were half a dozen patrons and we we seated right away. Our server Liz promptly took our drink order and was super attentive throughout our meal. Ambience: the wood paneling and soft lighting makes for a calming atmosphere even though there are at least eight TVs on none of them were Fox so that was good. All the s were all muted but there was a pretty loud radio being played over the speakers. I decided to overlook it once the food arrived! I ordered off the May special menu and got a shrimp po-boy with a side salad. Mom ordered fish (mahi mahi) and chips but subbed the chips for broccoli. As you can see from the pictures the portions were huge! The po-boy was absolutely fantastic. I counted a dozen shrimp. There was some buffalo sauce on it but it didn't overwhelm and let the sweet shrimp be the star. Mom's fish was cooked well, moist and flaky and the broccoli a perfect tender crisp. A table nearby ordered a delicious looking dessert but we were too full to even flirt with the idea. Looking forward to going back for one of their fire cooked pizzas.

Came here for lunch in October. They were doing a special octoberfest menu that sounded great. I got the schnitzel, mac and cheese and giant pretzel. Everything was delicious. The Mac was ridiculously big and tasty! Schnitzel was huge too. Atmosphere was good. Had a bar and grill vibe. Service was great.

Ironwood Tavern located on Washington Road Augusta, GA Food: Ordered the Bulgogi Pizza and Spicy Dragon flavored Chicken Wings also, Buffalo Chicken Cheese Dip for an appetizer (delicious). Service: Service with a smile very friendly and patient waitress Ambiance: This is a really nice looking establishment, it gives you a sports bar, sit down restaurant vibe.

Came in for one drink. Left three hours later full of life, and what I think was a cocktail with smoke, glitter, and possibly sage. The food? So good I proposed to my burger. The monthly menu keeps things fresh (unlike my ex). Bartenders are drink wizards. 10/10 would lose track of time here again.

I've been to Ironwood numerous times and every time I am always pleased. The staff is kind and attentive. I try to not go during peek time because it can get really crowded and gets a little loud (it's a tavern so understandable!) but regardless it's worth the wait. The food is always amazing, the specials are always unique. I highly recommend the cobb salad, the burgers, the pizza and the fries! literally everything. Bulgogi pizza and the Tavern burger are top tier. Highly recommend for everyone to stop by!

    The deep dish pizza.

We ordered the Tavern Shrimp appetizer and deep dish Pepperoni pizza. The Shrimp never came out until after the pizza and only then when I asked for them. Waitress forgot to put order in, she did comp the shrimp. Then we asked for mushrooms to be added to our pizza and we're told that we can't add anything to pizzas...makes me wonder if all the pizzas are pre-made by a vendor and then they are just cooked at the Ironwood. Overall not a great experience.

Hurry in for the December Specials!! French Dip Pizza- everything about it is perfection! With the dip or alone- if it doesn't go on the permanent menu, it needs to come around every quarter! It's that good! Chilli & Jalapeno Cornbread-full of meat, beans southern heat! Sure to warm you from the inside out on a cold day! Gouda Paddy Melt with your choice of side! I chose to get mine without the onions or house sauce. This sandwich is crunchy perfection from the buttered toast, to the bacon down to the perfectly cooked burger! Another show stopper that should make its way to the main menu! Service was outstanding as always! 10/10

    Not a great Philly

Good vibes kinda place. Great selection at fair prices. Lots of ice cold beer to choose from! My husband loved the burger with the mac & cheese on it, I got the Philly... wouldn't recommend. The ingredients were chopped "fine", blender style. Not the best thing for a Philly. Fries were delicious tho!! Take a jacket, super cold in there!! (My biggest pet peace when trying to enjoy a meal.) Service was on point, thank you Matthew! We'd go again to try something different.

Depending on where you live this place is far. It's inside a shopping plaza with Publix and a lot of other restaurants and shops. We got seated outside but it wasn't super hot or anything. The menu had decent choices mostly burgers wings pizza. They also have specials for the month. I got the hibachi burger which was tasty but a bit messy. My friend got one of the monthly special the butter chicken pizza which she said was just so-so.

I have to start this review with something completely out of character for me: I did not take a…read moresingle picture of my food. And if you know me, you know that is almost unheard of. I am an avid food lover, and I photograph just about every beautiful dish placed in front of me. But Cork & Flame was different. From the moment we walked through the doors, the experience was so exceptional and immersive that, for once, I simply forgot about the camera. I was too busy being present and enjoying every moment. We were immediately greeted by smiling hostesses who congratulated us on our anniversary. While we waited to be seated, we were presented with two beautiful flutes of champagne,- a thoughtful touch that immediately set the tone for what was to come. We were also presented with the most thoughtful Happy Anniversary card signed by the staff. Once seated, we were welcomed by an incredible team, but our waitress was truly in a class of her own. I have never encountered service quite like hers. Her knowledge of the menu was exceptional, and every detail of the evening felt intentional. The way she guided us through our selections and thoughtfully presented each course made something as simple as ordering dinner feel like part of a carefully choreographed work of art. We began with an amuse-bouche, and even the experience surrounding it was remarkable. Before enjoying it, we were presented with the most thoughtfully prepared Japanese hand wipes, delicately infused with yuzu and hydrated right before us in the most discreet and elegant fashion. It was such a small detail, but one we never knew we needed until we experienced it. It was the kind of thoughtful touch that made the entire evening feel so carefully considered. Then came the beef and onion empanadas, and they were absolutely out of this world, beautifully prepared and exploding with layers of exciting flavor. Alongside them came a beautiful board of crunchy, delicious bread paired with the lightest, fluffiest butter I have ever experienced. The butter itself was infused with a subtle smoky flavor and was unlike anything I have ever tasted. Somehow, even something as simple as bread and butter felt completely elevated and memorable. For our entrées, we were once again completely blown away. My husband had the lobster gnocchi, bursting with incredible flavors of lobster and chorizo, perfectly balanced and beautifully finished. My entrée was the chef's special by ,Chef Gaston, a breathtaking rosemary infused skirt steak served with whipped potatoes and creamed spinach. It arrived beneath a beautiful dome that preserved the aromatic smoke until it was lifted tableside in front of me. It wasn't simply dinner; it was a presentation, an aroma, a moment, and an experience all at once. And then came dessert, which somehow managed to continue the perfection of the evening. My husband enjoyed an incredibly decadent yet surprisingly light dessert accompanied by an assortment of unforgettable dips, including a pineapple dip unlike anything we had ever experienced. I opted for a refreshing and beautifully light Limoncello tiramisu, and once again, every element was executed flawlessly. From the food to the presentation, the service to the smallest details, everything was truly top tier. There was such a level of care and intention behind everything we experienced that it made the entire evening feel incredibly special. It wasn't just a meal--it was an experience thoughtfully designed from beginning to end. Cork & Flame doesn't simply serve a meal--it creates an experience. It feels like stepping into another world, almost like taking a culinary journey without ever leaving your table. Every course tells a story, every detail has a purpose, and every member of the staff seems genuinely invested in making your experience extraordinary. I would recommend Cork & Flame a million times over--not just for the food, but for the entire experience. If you appreciate culinary artistry, exceptional service, thoughtful details, and a restaurant that genuinely cares about creating a memorable evening, this is somewhere you absolutely need to experience. And honestly, the fact that I have no pictures to show you might be the greatest compliment I can give. For once, I didn't need my camera. I just needed to be present for one of the best culinary experiences I have ever had.
