Hot Hawaiian

A 5 star visit today! This place never disappoints. Walked in, checked out the slices, got our goodies ordered and headed to the dining area. We chilled for a bit and then out hot slices got delivered to us. Shortly after we got out salads. The Wise guy is my favorite. Pep, mushrooms, onions and sausage. You can't go wrong. I also got a side salad. Fresh cucumber and tomatoes. The romaine was crisp! So good! Local Idaho pizza joint is a must be support. The staff is always friendly and the food is so good. Can't wait to go back for another slice in the future.

Delicious 14 inch pizza

This New York style pizza was delicious. I ordered the fat guy 14 inch. You won't regret it. Service was quick. I had it delivered. They said 60 minutes. Got here in 20 minutes. I will definitely order again when visiting Boise, Idaho.

Stumbled upon this place after the BSU game last weekend. We were across the street having a celebratory losing beverage and needing a light snack before heading back to the west valley. Reminded me of a college hangout, but the pizza was actually quite tasty. We ordered three of the large slices to split between us. The crust was perfect and thin which made the snack a perfect hit for us. You can also order off the menu for full size pizzas, hoagies, burgers, Calzones, and more. We will definitely need to return and try other options!

I ordered a $13 Cobb salad and 2 slices. The "Cobb" salad had: sliced romaine, sliced tomatoes & blue cheese chunks. I'm done.

Stellar slice of pep $4

Had a slice of the pepperoni, $4. It was super thin, authentic NYC style pizza. I'm amazed that they can get to NYC level quality. Pricey, but top tier. Casual environment. I'd like to know if their Gluten free pizza is worthwhile for my wife.

We came here after a night out at bars. We tried the pepperoni pizza and it ran out so we got a fresh slice and HOLY MOLY it was delicious! I also got their calzone which was amazing! So good I forgot to take a photo! The prices are also very affordable. We liked it so much we returned the next day but we didn't get a fresh slice and the taste definitely changed dramatically. I suggest you order a fresh pizza or wait for a fresh slice if you have the time to. The restaurant itself was very big there's a seating areas outside as well as inside. They share a restroom with the rest of the places there but we had no issue using it. (No long lines and it was very clean) I def recommend this place for a hot meal after going out bar hopping

The service is surprisingly good for a pizza place like this. The pie is there with the best of Boise's New York style.

Good lunch deal ($3.75 for a slice and soda or $6 for 2 slices). Had about 6 different pizzas to choose from. Yummy, thin crust!

Spitfire Pizza - Beer and Detroit Style Pizza!

We ordered the large Sausage Roasted Garlic pizza. What a great pie, from the crust to the toppings. I can't think of a place I have been to for quite some time that was better. One small item, the plate were cold, so we just used them for crumb catching. Hot pizza on cold plates isn't ideal. We'll be back for sure.

It's no surprise to me that Spitfire announced this week they are closing. What had started out as…read morea great pizza place when they opened slowly went downhill. Yet I wanted to experience their take on Detroit pizza one last time before they lock the doors for good. Yesterday, I called to order a Detroiter pizza, my go-to pie since they opened, for takeout. The woman who answered the phone asked to put me on hold for a "short wait." Ten minutes later I was still on hold and hung up. Today, I decided to try again. I called at around the same time, 4:30 p.m., which normally has not been a busy time there before the dinner rush starts. This time, I was told to call back. What? So I went online and ordered there for pickup. I got an email back immediately, saying my order had been submitted but that it wasn't confirmed until I got a second email with my pickup time. More than an hour later, I'm still waiting for that second email. What a horrible operation they've become. Their pizza was excellent in the beginning and I didn't mind driving across town to a convenient location near the airport to pick up one of their pizzas. But as their quality slipped, I found myself going there less and less. Today's failure will be the last time I try before they close forever. All I have is the memories from better days.

On the occasions I trek across town ..I am always glad I did. Thier pizza's are New England style thin crust . Ceaser salads are nice sized and not skimpy . Another 10 before they came back with drinks and took our order. The appetizer was a puffed up bread which was fun to eat. They brought olive oil and what tasted like vinegar to eat it with. We ate that and it was another 20 minutes before they came to the table and told us they prioritized the take out orders over ours, "But your pizzas are now in the oven." The table behind us who also ordered an appetizer and 2 pizzas, were served 10 minutes before we were served. Always willing to overlook some hiccups in service if the food is good... unfortunately the food was terrible. We ordered a Don Ho and the sauce was so bland it was gross. The center of the pizza was so soft we thought, at first, it was under cooked. After looking at the bottom of the pie we could see it was cooked but we also noticed that the sauce was so watery it pooled in the center and made everything soft and gross. The margarita pizza was so overcooked the cheese was melted into the pizza and the basil leaves were wilted and yet crispy at the same time. Below is a picture of what it SHOULD have looked like, and a picture of what we got. It was so bad we actually sent it back and they said, "Well that's how we always make it." We had high hopes but after this all around lacking experience, we won't be back.

The last time I ate here, I really enjoyed our meal so I knew I was in store for a good lunch. I arrived first. I hung out for a bit. Raylyn (sp) greeted me and asked me if I wanted anything to drink. I had a flavored water so I content for the moment. My friend finally showed up shortly after. We got started on the foccacia bread and olive oil/balsamic dip. The bread was good but it wasn't warm like the previous time. It was nicely seasoned and buttery on top. The olive oil/balsamic dip is so good with it! We breezed over the menu while we were enjoying the bread. Raylyn came and took our order. We ordered some fried mozzarella to share. For lunch I got a side of meatballs and my friend got the chicken parm on pasta with a side salad. The fried mozzarella was so good! The piece of mozzarella that was fried was so thick! I had a fourth of one of the cheesesticks. I didn't want to get too full when I still had meatballs coming. My meatballs were so good! It was generously covered in their marinara sauce. It was rich in tomato with a slight heat to it, so good! My friend's chicken parm pasta was a generous portion! I probably could have made 3 meals off of his plate. He enjoyed the chicken of course and had some of the pasta. We couldn't end lunch without some birthday dessert so my friend got some cannolis started. This is my first time trying a cannoli and woooooow! It was so good! The cream in the middle had a orange flavor to it with some chocolate chips. The exterior of the cannoli was crunchy and sweet. The ends were dipped in semi sweet chocolate and was so good! I probably could have polished 2 more but I was so full from lunch. Next time I'm going to just have the bread and cannolis. That dessert was perfection. Lunch was fabulous today. Our food and dessert were divine. Raylyn did a marvelous job taking care of us! She was kind, attentive and is great at customer service. I can't stop thinking of those cannolis and I look forward to coming back soon to have some more!

We waited so long, we asked for our boxes and meals to go before it was even served to us. I really wanted to get this place more stars but at this point it's probably a three star if not a 2 1/2.
