Nice feel and homey - I love it!

I actually really like this little place. It had an awesome old pub feel and the bartender was so nice! They had big walls of plastic up in front of the bar for COVID safety and everyone had to have masks unless they were sitting at a table. It is my birthday so I came in for a margarita and they charged me $4. That's crazy I really enjoyed the margarita and conversation from the bartender. I puke definitely do back again, even though this was just a quick stop!

TV (behind to the right)not in picture but, this is the whole bar!

I was looking for small and low key: Found it! Albeit it's a Monday night. Great pours, good prices, and great music!! You have to be a classic rock fan to appreciate that tho. (aka Idahoan) There is a TV that was silently playing Monday Night Football which was nice in the background. The wall decor is curios and there's plenty of that so ?

AS Mariah Sings: I had a vision of love, and it was all that you've given to me... Treated me kind, Sweet destiny ...and that's all that I could hear in my head after my first drink! 22nd person to review 10th Street Station in downtown Boise on 10th. It is downstairs in the basement, below Bombay Grill and Guru donuts. This is my 423rd Yelp review. Now, I've heard this is the place to go to get a great buzzworthy drink and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I got an Old Fashioned, which is usually 1/3-1/2 full and $8-12+, but not here! It's was cheaper than that and was full! Yes, that's right, an Old Fashioned filled to the brim! Who does that? 10th Street Station is whom! No wonder why I rolled down the hill/grass of the Century Link building, on the way to my car (I didn't drive-- you don't either :)~, with me telling George, "Live a little! Life is but a dream" (video proof)! The bartender was super friendly! The clientele had a good vibe. The bathroom is in a hallway and a very short walk, just be sure to grab a key off of the wall (see my photos). Public service announcement: Once you visit this establishment and have one too many (which here won't take much) be sure to UBER. Or call Buddies DD or WE Drive (https://buddiesdd.com/). They will pick you and your car up and get you and your passengers home safely and you don't have to find transportation back the next day to retrieive your car. Safety first, friends!

    Feels like summer.

Good happy hour with friendly staff and locals. Just what you need if you're looking for a quiet place to unwind after work and catch up with friends. The free popcorn is an added bonus. HH prices for wells are extremely reasonably but be aware they definitely don't skimp on the pours so please drink wisely.

One of the best bar placards I've seen to date. "Make arrangements with bartender upon arrival".

This place...the 10th Street Station...it is dive-bar personification at it's best. I know. From the second I walked in, my eyes tried to lubricate themselves with tears when the ciggie smoke-filled room tried robbing them of their moisture. I remembered that the bar top was sticky from stale beer that was probably wiped down from a dirty wet rag & sat there to dry under sleeved elbows. The placard http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/10th-street-station-boise?select=MVUsS23CjvjKfmP0AClWfA#MVUsS23CjvjKfmP0AClWfA behind the bar...thank gawd I remembered to take a picture. Love it. As small as this joint is, you could loose yourself in here...at the bottom of that Jack bottle would be best. But we're with the wifey's college pals. Right now it's a time to behave & represent. Let them act the fools...nah. I wanna be foolish with them. They're gettin' hammered on beers & shots. Our bartender is keeping a sharp eye, but on point serving us as needed. He keeps "our" party running smoothly throughout the night. Buffoonery ensues for hours. I know I had to use the men's room at one point or another. I have a bladder the size of peanut. I just don't remember a urinal. Maybe I was in the girl's room. That might explain the ringing in my head & images of women screaming in my ear while positioned over the sink. I'm kidding...I think. This place, the 10th Street Station...this place is pretty fly. They carried some local IPA's on tap. My Jack 'n Coke(s) was/were solid. More like Jack & a splash. If I didn't live like 900 miles away, was 10 years younger, not married & I wasn't on a temporary self-imposed alchy rehab binge, I'd seriously be here every night grabbing a night cap & some boob from the local flooz. They put us in a cab in the wee hours. We had some good times in this dive. I didn't drive. I was responsible. You should be too. I'm deez® & I'm out!

    Yummy drinks!

The staff is always attentive and impressively knowledgeable about the drinks. This visit, I tried something different--a whiskey sour served over shaved ice. I loved how perfectly chilled it was; the ice kept the drink from becoming overly sweet as it melted. I typically go for more booze-forward cocktails, so this was a fun change for me. My partner ordered a Toki highball, which was a perfect fit for his keto diet--highly carbonated soda water, Toki Japanese whiskey, and lemon. Clean, simple, and refreshing. If you're in the mood for a dark, super romantic experience, the space delivers moody ambiance in spades. Be sure to make a reservation!

My one critique is that if someone is already through the first secret door as you're coming in, the whole secrecy of it disappears. So my suggestion to those who go, if you find the secret door and go through it and see people waiting, maybe go back out and close the door and wait like a min or two. The ambiance is nice. Exit door was kinda hidden, but I eventually found it. I ordered the Cantina Fizz. It was a yummy fun drink. Service was good. Definitely a fun speakeasy experience.

Didn't know what to expect, but the Space Banana is legit! Superb sound system, on point lighting, drinks are great, and the service spot on. Plus, it's a SUUUUUPER relaxed dress code. Major shout out to the DJ's keeping the place jumpin, especially the headliner slot. Dj LightsOff kept the place pumped with EDM mashups and trance vibes. Drinks mixed by mixologist' and I would says they're on par with pricing. I ended up ordering a 19 Million Mile High club ($19) and a Juniper Nebula ($11) both excellent tasting and smooth. Bartenders did a great job mixing. One caveat - the place IS INTIMATE, COZY, QUAINT. Depending on your perspective it can be a positive or negative. I would def come back here next time I'm in the area. If you're in the area, come check it out. No cover charge before 11pm.

A couple of my friends showed up first, got a great table outside and ordered a couple apps to get the party started. I showed up after goodies and drinks were ordered. We started off with some chips and salsa and pountine. The chips and salsa looked good but the pountine was definitely calling my name! I love me some potatoes and these potatoes looked like they were going to be right up my alley! I dished up a good portion before my friends got some. They were kind to let me plate first cause of my new kidney. I didn't want to be too greedy so the portion I got was a few bites. Those few bites got me hooked so it was a must to get another order started. While my order of pountine was being worked on, I tried the pretzel with cheese and the hummus plate. The pretzel was perfectly salted. The cheese sauce was the perfect addition to the soft pretzel. I took a good amount of the hummus and Greek salad. The pita that came with it was a great vessel for the hummus. It was crispy with a slight chew to it. The hummus was clean tasting and rich. The Greek salad was so fresh. All the components of the salad tasted like they were just picked from the garden. You literally can't get anymore farm to table than that! It was so fresh! The second order of pountine came out. Everything about this appetizer was delicious! I love soggy, softer fries and these fries were the business! The gravy and cheese were the highlight of the dish for me. You can never go wrong with potatoes, cheese and gravy! There was a good amount of meat on the pountine. It was so tender! You can tell it was cooked with a lot of love and time! I took the rest home and I plan on hiding my box in the back of my fridge so my daughter can't get to it! We ended our happy hour with the beignets. Each one of these goodies were covered in powered sugar. The caramel sauce that was paired with it was devine! In all honesty, as full as I was, I could have polished off an order myself! They were the perfect dessert to end this fabulous meal. Bittercreek has been on my to go list for a hot minute. I'm so happy we got to come here and celebrate my birthday. The food was marvelous. Our server did a fantastic job taking care of us! Our waters were always filled. Our cocktails were never dry. And our plates were always filled cause food was always ordered on time for us. Homie was on point tonight! The venue can't be any more stunning. The weather was lovely. We were meant to be here today! In so happy we started my birthday week off at Bittercreek!
