Such an amazing fun bar that is an absolute staple in the community. I havent been back to Boise in 10 years but its great to see this place still thriving. Hannnahs is loved by the nearby university and all of the locals as well. Very fun, has live music, two floors, very big open clean space. I have such great memories in this place and could not recommend it enough!

Humpin Hannah's was a blast! Was in Boise for the weekend celebrating my cousin in law's 23rd birthday and decided to come by here for the night. I had no idea how iconic this place was in Idaho, but I definitely understood why by the end of the night! Initially they play good songs with the music video displayed in the background before The Rocci Johnson Band comes out with Rocci herself performing and generously throwing goodies into the crowd. She has very vibrant energy that you immediately gravitate towards. I would totally come back here!

I trekked far off my usual routine for a Friday night and found myself downtown at Humpin Hannah's per a recommendation of a colleague. I've lived in Boise for more than 18 years and never once stepped foot inside HH. I wasn't sure what to expect but I surely didn't expect to see the world's largest collection of bras. There are bras of every size, shape, and pattern hanging from the ceiling and decor. I wasn't sure what the story was about the 'sous-vetements' until a patron contacted one of the employees to make a 'donation' The 'donation' was not risqué but reminded me of that scene from Flashdance. Once the bra was no longer confined it was released and hung. There was an instant celebration with applause and cheering. Throughout these donations, HH is a very active bar scene with all the usual suspects and more. Sure there are bridal parties, guys in flip-flops and shorts, couples, and of course friends. HH is more than a bar as it has two floors, pool tables, dart boards, and interesting decor throughout. Service was great and attentive and HH made a new fan. While I may not able to go weekly, I'll try to make it to HH as regularly as I can and check out the new additions to the collection.

Friendly staff, lots of seating and room to move about. Seems like they have a themed night for everyone.

In my opinion all they need to do to improve Hannah's would be to build a bigger dance floor because Rocci definitely brings in the crowds!

Moments before Silverstein was about to take the stage, a female employee aggressively confronted us without warning. There was no polite request, no conversation--just sudden hostility and yelling. The supposed "issue"? My six-year-old daughter was on my shoulders while we were standing OFF TO THE SIDE, near the handrail, purposely away from the center so we wouldn't block anyone. We had already watched three bands this way for over two hours without a single problem. No one around us ever complained--quite the opposite. Many people were excited to see a child enjoying her first concert and told us how awesome it was. People were smiling, cheering her on, and taking photos of how much fun she was having. When this employee stormed over and started yelling aggressively, several concertgoers immediately spoke up for us. They told her clearly that my daughter wasn't bothering anyone, wasn't blocking anyone's view, and was just a little kid enjoying the moment. Instead of listening--or acting like a professional--the staff member told these guests to mind their fing business*, loudly and aggressively, right in front of my daughter. My daughter burst into tears instantly. She was terrified and confused and kept saying she didn't understand what she did wrong. This altercation absolutely devastated her, and no six-year-old should ever be treated like that at what should have been a joyful experience. We supported the venue fully--we bought tickets, we purchased food and drinks, and we even paid to have our jackets stored in their cubbies. Despite all that, we were treated with nothing but disrespect and hostility. After being forced to leave the show entirely, I spoke to the young woman at the front desk. She told me directly that this has never been an issue in the past. When I asked to speak with someone in charge, they sent the exact same female security employee who had yelled at us. She walked up smiling--as if she was proud of the altercation or pleased with herself for causing such distress. It was disturbing and completely inappropriate. I later spoke with the General Manager hoping there would finally be some accountability. Instead, he acted as if he didn't believe what happened. He even stated that it was "impossible to post rules or regulations for their events--they just deal with problems as they happen." That attitude alone demonstrates the lack of structure, consistency, or professionalism at this venue. Despite multiple witnesses trying to defend us earlier, he dismissed nearly everything. In the end, he simply pushed a refund at us like that would somehow erase the harm done. A refund does NOT fix this. A refund does NOT erase my daughter's fear and heartbreak. A refund does NOT change the unprofessional, hostile behavior of the staff. In a blind effort to find answers--knowing full well the band was not responsible for the venue's actions--we contacted the band's management. Shockingly, the band's manager responded to us before the venue ever did. That alone says everything about who actually cares about their fans. It says even more that other concertgoers showed more empathy, common sense, and integrity than the venue's own staff and management. I hope this review helps other families understand the type of treatment they may face here. No child should ever leave their first concert crying because of a staff member's deliberate hostility. If the venue cannot handle enforcing rules respectfully, cannot create a safe and welcoming environment for all ages as they advertise, and cannot treat paying customers with basic human decency, then something is seriously wrong with how they operate.

Very personal. Never been in the pit before. I'm an old dog and we stood for four hours watching and the wait before the show. Tuff but worth the closeness. I'm renting a chair next time if available. My feet were numb afterwards. Please see my video I posted to see how close and awesome the view was! Touching! A very nice and safe place I'll return to!

It is no wonder Esquire Magazine once called this spot "the one true classic in Boise." The atmosphere is steeped in history, featuring a stunning 114-year-old hardwood Brunswick bar and a beautiful turn-of-the-century National Cash Register. From the vintage cigarette machine by the door to the classic pool table, every corner of the saloon radiates character and charm. The history here is fascinating--it originally served as a grocery store before transitioning into the Stockman's Pastime Bar in the 70s, eventually becoming the Pengilly's we know and love in 1976. That legacy is felt in the soul of the building. The service is consistently excellent. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. Whether I'm ordering a Sex on the Beach or sticking to a Shirley Temple when I'm the designated driver, the drinks are always spot on. My fiancé usually goes for a double Jack and Coke, and we always have a fantastic time soaking in the live music performed by talented local artists. If you are looking for an authentic, historic, and lively spot in Boise with a warm atmosphere and great vibes, Pengilly's Saloon is the place to be. We can't recommend it enough!
