Moments before Silverstein was about to take the stage, a female employee aggressively confronted us without warning. There was no polite request, no conversation--just sudden hostility and yelling. The supposed "issue"? My six-year-old daughter was on my shoulders while we were standing OFF TO THE SIDE, near the handrail, purposely away from the center so we wouldn't block anyone. We had already watched three bands this way for over two hours without a single problem. No one around us ever complained--quite the opposite. Many people were excited to see a child enjoying her first concert and told us how awesome it was. People were smiling, cheering her on, and taking photos of how much fun she was having. When this employee stormed over and started yelling aggressively, several concertgoers immediately spoke up for us. They told her clearly that my daughter wasn't bothering anyone, wasn't blocking anyone's view, and was just a little kid enjoying the moment. Instead of listening--or acting like a professional--the staff member told these guests to mind their fing business*, loudly and aggressively, right in front of my daughter. My daughter burst into tears instantly. She was terrified and confused and kept saying she didn't understand what she did wrong. This altercation absolutely devastated her, and no six-year-old should ever be treated like that at what should have been a joyful experience. We supported the venue fully--we bought tickets, we purchased food and drinks, and we even paid to have our jackets stored in their cubbies. Despite all that, we were treated with nothing but disrespect and hostility. After being forced to leave the show entirely, I spoke to the young woman at the front desk. She told me directly that this has never been an issue in the past. When I asked to speak with someone in charge, they sent the exact same female security employee who had yelled at us. She walked up smiling--as if she was proud of the altercation or pleased with herself for causing such distress. It was disturbing and completely inappropriate. I later spoke with the General Manager hoping there would finally be some accountability. Instead, he acted as if he didn't believe what happened. He even stated that it was "impossible to post rules or regulations for their events--they just deal with problems as they happen." That attitude alone demonstrates the lack of structure, consistency, or professionalism at this venue. Despite multiple witnesses trying to defend us earlier, he dismissed nearly everything. In the end, he simply pushed a refund at us like that would somehow erase the harm done. A refund does NOT fix this. A refund does NOT erase my daughter's fear and heartbreak. A refund does NOT change the unprofessional, hostile behavior of the staff. In a blind effort to find answers--knowing full well the band was not responsible for the venue's actions--we contacted the band's management. Shockingly, the band's manager responded to us before the venue ever did. That alone says everything about who actually cares about their fans. It says even more that other concertgoers showed more empathy, common sense, and integrity than the venue's own staff and management. I hope this review helps other families understand the type of treatment they may face here. No child should ever leave their first concert crying because of a staff member's deliberate hostility. If the venue cannot handle enforcing rules respectfully, cannot create a safe and welcoming environment for all ages as they advertise, and cannot treat paying customers with basic human decency, then something is seriously wrong with how they operate.

Started a tab where they don't keep your credit card and they have a sign that states that they charge 20% to it if you don't close out. I was ok with the 20% charge since I would probably leave that amount for a tip anyway and almost didn't close out and just leave. I did decide to go to the bar and close out and found out that there were bogus charges on my tab for a drink that we didn't have and for ear plugs we didn't have as well. When I pointed this out to the bartender, she knew exactly which items were not mine and removed them without me pointing them out. This tells me that she knew which charges were bogus and I consider this fraud and theft. No matter how nice it is, I can't go to a place that I can't trust.

One person in our group even used the rest of their vacation hours specifically so they could attend this concert. Because those were their remaining vacation hours, we chose this show over another concert the following week, assuming we'd at least get to see the artist we had planned for. When we arrived, we were completely confused. Instead of the electronic DJ So Down, there was band called So Down Boise playing. We actually stayed for a while because we thought maybe the DJ was still going to perform later. Eventually it became clear that the artist we had paid to see wasn't there at all. I understand that mistakes happen. But when a venue advertises or sells tickets for the wrong artist, the right thing to do is make it right. We didn't stay for the show because it wasn't the event we purchased tickets for, yet we were told we couldn't even get a refund. At that point, it wasn't about the $14 ticket. It was about the gas, the hotel, the time, and the vacation hours that were used for a concert that never happened. We put our home renovation projects on hold to make the trip. It doesn't sound like much but we literally had photos scheduled the following day for the sale of our home. Had we known the advertised artist wasn't actually performing, we would have skipped this event and gone to the show the following week instead. Instead, we ended up missing both. A simple apology and a refund would have gone a long way. Instead, we were left feeling like no one cared that we had spent our time and money on an event that wasn't what was advertised. That's incredibly disappointing and not how customers should be treated.

The food was poorly executed across the board. The eggs Benedict was served as actual boiled eggs with hollandaise that had an off taste and was inedible. My biscuits and gravy were also underwhelming, with overcooked eggs and undercooked, greasy bacon that made the plate difficult to eat. Service was slow and inconsistent. My one coffee refill took an extraordinarily long time, and my girlfriend's specialty coffee--which was the most expensive item we ordered--was never followed up on once it was finished. We also waited a long time just to get the check, almost as long as it took us to pick at our meal. When the server finally returned, my plate was cleared but her uneaten food was left sitting. Overall, the experience felt worse than even basic diners. We won't be returning.
