We were excited to see a new wing place opening up in St. Augustine. We went by there a couple of days ago. There was a few people in the restaurant, but I would not say they were super busy. We waited about 20 minutes for our food while people who came in after us got their food a lot quicker. My husband ordered the wings which came out cold. I ordered a chicken sandwich that looked like it had been fried to death in old oil. It was tough and tasteless. Our french fries were room temperature and looked like they had scraped the bottom of the barrel for these tiny little pieces of french fries. We were super disappointed in the food! The one good thing I can say about the experience is that the young gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant. Not sure we'll go back. read more

I ordered a 10pc boneless buffalo with blue cheese with my friend that told me how good this place was...so I was excited because we always go to candlelight for wings because they are the best in town! They delivered our wings and messed up our order I got bone in wings which I wasn't upset about just figured they were new but it wasn't what we ordered at all! The blue cheese was runny and absolutely no flavor in the blue cheese and there was no buffalo sauce on my wings at all... save your money and keep going to our local favorite CANDLELIGHT they have the best wings and also the best sauce. Hopefully these guys at wing stop will get better in time they just opened. read more

took girls for last day school put in order under a name Ava. sat and waited. 30 minutes later I got up and asked if someone could find out what was up with our order as they were getting other people out who came in after us. the said a bag with VA written was it that bag was given to a man who thought it was his he dug through it and brought it back. that was 20 minutes earlier than we finally got it so now we got cold food that was picked over. since I was starting to feel sick and we waited so long and everyone was hungry I grabbed the bag (like the idiot I am) instead of asking for refu and left. I told the girls NEVER AGAI! next time I ask we can go anywhere but there. the staff putting food out did a great job they were very efficient. just the person typing in name messed up. that made the whole experience bad. I just want to make that real clear read more

I truly can't pick a favorite because every single one was that good. The food was just as outstanding, with generous portions and incredible flavor. We highly recommend the B.E.C.ky, the Better Than..., the Venetian, and the Tulum Sammie. My personal favorites were the Venetian and the Tulum Sammie--both were absolute perfection. It is rare to find a place where the food, coffee, service, and atmosphere all exceed expectations, but The Modern Rose does exactly that. I only wish we had something even half this good back home.
