I love the wings. I hate the service. It's sad to have the experience ruined from bad customer service.

The ribs are fabulous! No question. They are as good as any I've tasted anywhere! Juicy, meaty,…read moreso flavorful. Perfect, I'd say! The green beans are fabulous, too. Fresh and perfectly cooked. I think the mashed potatoes must be fabulous fresh, but mine were heated over because they were prepared before I arrived, so I tasted that heated-over taste. But! They were very good; real potatoes, which you almost never can find anymore, and lots of butter! I might change that myself; a little less butter and a little more milk or cream. The thing I found disappointing was the fried chicken. I went to the restaurant to try the ribs because I'm looking for ribs to serve at a dinner party and I'm on the hunt, but I had to try the chicken! You may like it; I think my objection is a personal taste thing, but ..... The coating on the chicken tastes like it was poured out of a spice-blend like Montreal Steak seasoning or the Kirkland Signature Organic No-Salt seasoning, or Lawrey's Seasoning, or the seasoning packet from Good Seasons Zesty salad dressing packets - I know I've tasted it before, but I can't remember which it is. It was too too much! As I said above; it tasted like it was poured into bowl from the package and the chicken was dredged in it. The flavor may be great if it were toned down a little, like starting with flour and adding the seasoning blend to the flour? Starting with half and half of each would be an improvement, but I would go with a 3 to 1 ratio of flour to mix. Other than that, I am definitely going to order the ribs for my dinner! As it was, I used the sauce that came with the ribs to dip my chicken in; that sauce is out of this world!!!!! And the two gentlemen who helped me were terrific! Carmen talked to me about the ribs, the rest of the menu and was the most gracious host! I told him about my quest for ribs and he was very helpful! He alone is worth going back for. And Zee must have asked me 10 times if I needed anything; he was very attentive! This is a cozy place tucked away where you can go and relax and enjoy a great meal! Order the ribs!

But Live And Let Die was definitely Crazy Good Wings. I'll give them that. Anyway I exposed myself here, and I'm now barred from this place, and hiding from the cops. In other words I'm Banned/On The Run. This gas station features some pretty hostile employees but it does have a Brazilian burger and snack place in the corner (CGW) that is open late and you can't really ask for more than that from your average gas station so I can't hate it. Macia Lanches have an extremely Brazilian name because of the word Lanches and you better believe they have tons of great Brazilian stuff on the menu. X-tudo is their main seller but they have a lot of other stuff and I had the sausage dish which is known as Linguica, and I liked it a lot. It takes awhile for the food to come up and they were making fun of me for being so sexy but I still really like this place. Authentic Brazilian street food. *** The business it shares its space with is Macia Lanches: If you're feeling a little e-Macia-ted, and you have been skipping breakfasts, dinners, and even Lanches, then come here and get yourself some greasy Brazilian food. It's not expensive, it certainly won't set you back a Brazilian dollars. Cool late night greasy food spot which serves Burgers but not what you might be expecting. Since this part of Boston is so heavily Brazilian, that's what you get here. This is a Brazilian fast food, served hot and fresh until late. They specialize in the X-Tudo. And they have some pretty excellent Linguica (Portuguese/Brazilian greasy spicy sausage) as well served with Yucca (which won't make you say Yuck, er). Service can be mixed and can take quite a while, but they'll give you a number and you can hang out in the gas station or in your car until the number buzzes (like a vibe, you know, but don't use it for that or at least clean it after if you do, I call it a surprisegasm, the anticipation is the best part) and then your excellent greasy unhealthy snack will be all ready!

Bar seems to be the main focus, so unless you like waiting, forgo a table; a barstool is the place to sit. Combo plates make it easy to order, with appetizer add-ons $4 each. Not bad at dinnertime. General Gao's Wings: Well coated in a sweet and zippy sauce that's much less cloyingly sweet than typical, but the deep flavor from the wings themselves came through. Screaming of five spice and likely a brine of some sort. Crisp and tender. Egg Roll: In a word, elite. Crunchy outside and inside, with droopy moist celery, cabbage, and pork. Didn't even need the duck sauce it was so moist. Lobster Sauce: Nice dark color and velvety tender, but good, not great, lacking a little on flavor. Scallion garnish a nice touch. Pork Fried Rice: Medium color, medium flavor. Missing the oomph in an old school fried rice. Chicken Fingers: Not the meatiest, but piping hot, golden brown, crisp throughout (none of that raw stuff that's so common) without being overcooked, and pleasant flavor to the batter. Sweet and Sour sauce on the side was superb, with tart really coming on strong and balancing the sweet. No cherries, but plenty of pineapple and a couple different colors of peppers. Some near misses and some big hits, with plenty of upside, so I'm giving 4 stars even though closer to a 3.5. I'm sure there are a few more elite items to be lurking in that menu. If only they were open for lunch.
