General Gaus chicken with vegetable fried rice and crab Rangoon

I love this place. My go to Chinese in Everett. I like the open kitchen and the big variety of dinner plates for one!

    Alexis J.

I am realistic when it comes to take out. And during these times, I don't want to give anyone a hard time but... the food was inedible. I hate wasting food but it was not possible to eat. Lomein has no flavor and was burned, charred really. Fried rice was greasy. Rangoons tasted off. After $45 in the trash, I'd say NOT worth an order.

Fausto left this at the front desk, didn't deliver to the room.

It was late and I just arrived at an airport hotel. No options at the hotel so delivery it was. First...Read. The. Menu. Ordered orange chicken and hot and sour soup. Didn't realize that the chicken was just that. No rice, but for the price, I thought surely it was included. The chicken was tough, flavor was okay. The soup was, well, soup. Nothing special, probably something all Chinese restaurants use in bulk. Additionally, in the delivery notes, I specified my hotel room number for it to be delivered. I was neither told this wasn't possible nor did the delivery guy text and say so. Thanks Fausto! At the end of the day my orange chicken and soup was $25, but I was a captive audience and I was hungry.

Dont order from these people because they are thieves. I got food tonight from them and was given a receipt that said that i was charged $30.60, however within 2 minutes my bank notified me of a transaction that was just completed of the amount of $36.72. When i called them to tell them that i was charged an extra $6.00 the response was "did you tip?!" I said no, so theres no reason as to why my card should have been charged extra. They refused to refund me what they charged me and insisted that it was a mistake on my bank's behalf. Never have i made a purchase where my bank made a mistake on the amount that the merchant charged. Never will I order food here again. Ive attached proof to back up my claim. IF YOU WILL ORDER FROM THIS PLACE DO NOT USE YOUR CARD BECAUSE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU MORE THAN WHAT THEIR RECEIPT CLAIMS.

First time here. The people were total dicks, and the food was absolutely disgusting. I literally just threw away $30.

Review of Chung Wag - A "Wag" of Disappointment…read more Rating: 2.4 - It's cheap Chinese food--set your expectations accordingly, but honestly? Skip this place. Ah, Chung Wag in Chelsea--where the décor is stuck in a 70s time warp, the cash-only policy hits harder than a surprise MSG headache, and the food... well, let's just say my taste buds filed a complaint. It was a rainy Friday night, and the cravings hit--the kind only cheap, greasy, glorious Asian food can satisfy. Apple Maps whispered sweet nothings about Chung Wag being a 7-minute drive away, with prices that screamed "Yes, you can afford rent AND takeout!" Foolish optimism, thy name is hunger. The vibe inside was part retro diner, part chaotic takeout hub--like if a Wong Kar-wai film had a budget cut. People milled about, some waiting for orders, others staring at the menu like it was the 'I Ching' (spoiler: no fortunes were revealed). After a quick cash-for-food exchange (pro tip: bring bills, not dreams), I was back in my car, assaulted by an aroma so strong it could've cleared my sinuses AND my regrets. Alas, the excitement was shorter than a takeout chopstick: - Queen's Chicken Curry Onions? More like Boiled chicken with Suspicious Veggies--those were not onions, my dude. - Scallion Pancake? Staler than bread left out two weeks ago. - Crab Rangoon? Packed with more garlic than two roasted vampire repellents. - Fried Chicken Fingers? The lone survivor--because even Chung Wag can't ruin deep-fried nostalgia. Our quest for good-cheap Asian food continues, but Chung Wag? More like Chung Nah.

I forgot how swanky looking the place was, and that still impressed. -- Egg Rolls: Cradled in a wicker basket, crisp on the outside, celery, and pork on the inside, a bit dry, but good flavor. A little above average. -- Spare Ribs on the bone: Painted on every surface with a nice char to complement the glaze. A thicker cut than most. Just like last time, they looked like a reheat, but still had very good texture (tender, moist) and decent enough flavor. Above average. -- Pork Egg Foo Yong: A trio of thick patties flooded with light brown sauce. Good crispness underneath. Soft and tender with big chunks of pork that wasn't dried out. Good overall flavor from the fry, the onions, and the pork, as well as the sauce. Near-elite to elite. -- Kung Pao Chicken: A little different here, with much larger shreds of chicken, a little darker than most, less celery and peanuts than most, a profusion of peppers, and pleasing spiciness to the soy-based sauce. Very enjoyable. Above average to well above average. -- Peking Noodles: A little different, and in a good way. More of a fine shred than a crumble, much spicier, and a little gloppier. Good feel to the egg noodles. I don't get this dish often enough to compare, but I enjoyed it. No OMG moments, but no complaints. Solid lunch, flavorful entrees, and I departed with a higher opinion than before. Upping to 4 stars.
