Wonderful staff, amazing food, and beautiful place to enjoy drinks with some friends.

The shrimp with lobster sauce. Egg roll and fried rice.

I ordered the won ton soup to start. It had no flavor. The won ton were just noodles not stuffed with filling. The broth was bland. Then I thought I would try something new, the shrimp with Lobster sauce. It was not very good. The egg roll didn't have flavor. I was so disappointed. I was expecting a great meal.

Hong Kong Dragon makes awesome drinks Hong Kong Dragons appetizers are fantastic Hong Kong Dragons portions are on the larger side Parking is limited street parking only The staff is pleasant polite and willing to assist you The facility is clean and tidy Pricing is average for a local Chinese restaurant This is a great little local Chinese restaurant I give Hong Kong dragon a solid five stars

    Boneless ribs

Terrible food. I ordered the Shanghai noodles, boneless spareribs, and Peking ravioli, all were bad. Boneless ribs were also super fatty. Don't waste your money

I have been thinking about Hong Kong Dragon since I went there. My husband and I try a new restaurant every month, and we didn't feel like trekking into Boston so we happened to see this place on Yelp and gave it a shot. First of all, it's rare for me to find a Chinese restaurant where you aren't ordering at a counter and staring at pictures of their dishes that are so old and faded, every meal looks exactly the same. So this was a welcomed change! The menu is extensive and chock full of both the staples and chef's specialties. My husband got the beef lo mein (his fave) with a side of bbq spare ribs and fried rice. I got the House Special...which is large shrimp, white chicken, boneless spareribs and beef together with mixed vegetables on a bed of soft noodles. Pretty much everything I love to eat piled onto one plate. It was DELICIOUS! I prefer the dark, brown sauce to the lighter sauce and this didn't disappoint. All of the meat was tender and juicy, and the veggies were still a little crunchy and then everything was perfectly glazed with the brown sauce. The hubs said his plate of carbs was excellent as well. We both were able to stretch them over a couple of meals. So the icing on the cake are their prices. The hubs dinner only cost $12, and my heap of heaven was only $13! I can't even remember the last time we went out for $25. Ok, I'm hungry. Time to go back.

Great food and fast service. The golden fried calamari is as good as anything you find in Chinatown.

We like the crab rangoon and orange chicken. Decent Chinese food that hits the spot in a pinch.

I would come back for these. Someone next to us also ordered them. Now I did still want to try their traditional dishes so we split Xaio Long Baos which were really good soup dumplings. They were fresh and tasty. I also got a general gau chicken which I know is more Americanized Chinese food but got it since it was offered as a plate with rice. It was tasty, a little spicy and a large portion--I had leftovers. I would like to come back to try more of their authentic dishes as the food was of high quality and it was busy inside so that's a good sign! First of all, the arrangement they had for queueing for tables was a bit confusing and unclear. We were given a slip of a paper with a number on it, which the hostess eventually called out after about 10 minutes. I wish they had a more seamless system for handling this (in an app or taking phone numbers instead). We ordered lots of dishes to share.. pineapple buns with roast pork, the viral crab rangoon scallion pancake, soup dumplings, rice rolls with ribs, etc. The standout for me was definitely the crab rangoon scallion pancakes. I 100% get the hype! It's ooey and gooey and perfect for any crab rangoon lover. I was however pretty disappointed in the pineapple buns (one of my favorite dishes) and soup dumplings, which honestly just tasted like they were frozen and reheated from the grocery store. The service was also very absent and it took awhile for us to wave someone down so we could pay our bill. Not sure if we visited on an off day or something, but I wasn't very impressed.

I went for lunch, so the vibes doesn't hit the same but I can see the evenings being amazing. I met family for an early lunch before I caught my flight back home. One of us has a nut and shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate as best as they could, which I appreciate for an Asian restaurant. We ordered tea, which I enjoyed. We were started off with a cold cabbage in chili sauce and I was pleasantly surprised. It's got vinegar and chili oil, so you have the mix of tangy, spicy, and add to the crunch- Wow. I went home and tried to look up a recipe because I loved it so much. We also shared the wonton with chili sauce which was delicious as well. The boiled chicken wasn't bad but it is a simple cold dish- so don't expect boiled chicken to be a warm dish. The sweet and sour pork was good. Next time, I'd like to try the steam egg and truffle. I probably wouldn't order the chicken again, but give me the cabbage starter and wonton in chili sauce all day, everyday.
