Love a good texas roadhouse day. Sunday afternoon was busy but no wait luckily. Staff were extra friendly and made sure we were having a good experience. Food was good too!

Our server was great, he did a good job. Good portions of food, good vibes. The only things they need to fix was the ladies by the front door who seemed very unwelcoming.

Can't go wrong with their rolls and ribs. And I love their Caesar salad. I tried something different and ordered the shrimp and rice plate was impressed. This is my new go-to!

Filet Mignon? That's what the waitress insisted.
    Bob B.

I think I'm being generous with 3 stars but I feel bad that the wait staff was so inexperienced. Wife ordered filet mignon and got this. The waitress insisted that this was filet mignon. I don't think so. We didn't complain or send it back. Whatever.

    Sirloin was cook as requested

They all provide reliably good food and a consistent, midscale BBQ-shop atmosphere. Regarding the proteins, I've had the brisket, burnt ends, St. Louis style ribs, hot links, wings, pulled pork, and pork belly. In general, they are all good but lean towards a sweeter profile. You can get them dry with the sauces on the side. I haven't found their saucing to be consistent across the locations, so it may be better just to ask for sauce on the side, depending on your preferences. I've found that the ribs and brisket can be a bit dry, but they are still very tasty. The wings are my favorite at the moment but I happen to love wings. These aren't the super crispy style of wings, so go in knowing that. Regarding the sides, I've had the brussels sprouts, mac n cheese, baked beans, zucchini salad, collard greens, cornbread, texas toast, and coleslaw. They adjust some of these over time, so check what they have when you're ordering. Everything that I've had has been pretty good, though none of the sides have been mind blowing. Good, solid BBQ sides, also generally on the sweet side. I usually get the Pit Boss, which comes with three meats and three sides. Each of the meats gives you about 4 ounces of edible meat, give or take (ex. 3 wing pieces, 3 ribs, and 1/4 pound of brisket). The delivery sides come in 1/2 pint containers, and you get 3 sides with the Pit Boss. So, that particularly meal can be a massive feast for one or a decent size meal for two depending on appetites. Overall, The Smoke Shop is a good option for BBQ in the Boston area and deserves its place as a mainstay/staple in the category.

They serve up a variety of smoked BBQ meats, including brisket, St. Louis ribs, beef ribs, sausage, pulled pork, pork belly burnt ends, chicken, turkey, and portabella "pulled pork" a vegetarian option. They offer BBQ plates, sandwiches, wraps, chicken wings, chicken tenders, fried foods (fries, okra, pickles), and sides (mac n cheese, candied yams, garlic mashed potatoes, rice, collard greens, BBQ pit beans, potato salad, grilled vegetables, & potato salad). The pricing is moderate. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16.99 plus hospitality fee and tax) served with choice of side and pickles. Since I parked very close to the food stall, I sat in my vehicle (with flashers) for 5 minutes and quickly retrieved my order. The pulled pork sandwich was a good size with cole slaw, tender sweet BBQ pulled pork on a thick soft egg bun. The pulled pork was mostly lean meat, a bit dry, but it tasted just fine. The potato salad was pretty good, which had firm gold potatoes, chopped red onions, celery, egg, mustard, mayo, and seasonings and dill pickle chips on the side. I enjoyed my food in the vehicle before heading back home. I will have to try some of their other meats and sides on the next visit to Wade BBQ.

If you're looking to go for brunch be advised that you should make a reservation ahead of time. I did a walk-in and had to sit at the bar. The bar isn't too bad. But if you're someone like me, (6'2 280lbs) it could be a little tight. At the bar, Dillon and Ricardo were amazing! They were very attentive as soon as I sat down. I was handed the menu with a glass of water. After looking over the menu they took my order. I ordered the New Orleans coffee. Good drink. A little on the sweet side but had a lot of alcohol! To start I had the tater tots. Pretty basic but it had a good seasoning to you! Not just salt and pepper! For the main dishes we had the Southern fried chicken sliders. It was a nice sweet and spicy blend. Not too spicy, just the right amount of kick to you! Also we got the chicken and waffles. As soon as we gave the menu back to them, not even 10 minutes later the food was at our spots. Piping hot and fresh. Mind you, the place was packed! So I'm not mad at that! The chicken thighs were seasoned well and juicy! The only thing I didn't like, was the waffle was kind of soggy and thin. Not like a Belgium waffle that is thick and crispy. But still, not bad. I would recommend trying them out but make reservations for a table.
