This is not my first visit to Wings'n Things. You seat yourself. The waiter, Matt, brought us menus within a few minutes. He came back shortly to take our order. We ordered the 50 piece wing special. It comes with 2 sodas and 2 orders of curly fries. The fries came out first per our request. They were perfect. Not too crispy and not too soggy. The wings came out a little bit later. The medium powdered garlic wings were my favorite. And the medium lemon pepper wings were my friend's favorite. They were both excellent. This restaurant has a friendly atmosphere. I love watching the train on the tracks attached to the ceiling. They have a second area for larger groups of people. They also have a few Tv's set up. Matt was a great waiter. Wings N' Things is a local place and hidden off the beaten path. It is not located on a major or busy road, so many people will tend to pass right by it. Locals and devotees frequent this place at least one a week and drive the business. My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place!! Their medium wings (or any style wings for that matter) are amazing! They have so much taste, without you losing your taste buds. The wings are always cooked perfectly, crispy outside and a soft meat inside. Their buffalo chicken sandwich is also a big hit. A nice portion size with tons of taste. They have an extensive enough menu to feed just about anyone, including kids. They also have beer pitchers for the guys and gals who would like to have beer and wings. The only downside to this place is that there are not enough TVs. Especially on NFL Sundays. Beer, wings, and football go together so wonderfully. It would be nice to see Wings N' Things add a few more, so that patrons can sit where they like and watch their favorite team. Where to start? Many years ago, I discovered the best wings ever. They were served at a very small restaurant in Boca called Wings and Things. As happens, they changed hands or something and eventually, after some other iterations, became Boca Wings and Ribs. Same food, different name. BY FAR the best wings anywhere. Period. Well, they closed a number of years ago, leaving me to hunt down something similar. No dice. Hooters--you have to be kidding me! One bite and I paid the check and left (after discarding the bite in a napkin). I tried the various Asian places--some OK, most not. Eventually, even Pollo Tropical got into the game. They were passable, but then they stopped serving them. On and on and on for years, but nothing was any good. My lovely daughter and her long-time friend then ate at Wings and Ribs in Wilton Manners last year and told me they were the same as Boca. I guess I forgot, and when she flew in yesterday for a visit--I know, dangerous in these times, be we were practicing all the safety guidelines--she wanted to stop at Wings and Ribs in Pompano on the way home. I was VERY skeptical, but OK, we did it. WOW! Am I happy. These are EXACTLY like the Boca location down to the wonderful corn poppers, which we thought we would never find again. We called for a large pick-up order and arrived a bit early. The place was as packed as it can be these days--alternate tables, everyone wearing masks except when eating, even the take-out line was socially distanced. The people who work there were STRESSED...Friday night before a big holiday, and LOTS of people even with alternate tables. Well, they could NOT have been nicer or more accommodating. I waited a few minutes and the order came up. I put it in a cooler to keep warm and when we got home the feast began. These are the BEST wings anywhere without a doubt, and I am SO HAPPY to have wings on my list of choices once again. Everything we ordered--wings, corn poppers, fries, etc.) was perfect, and the prices are very reasonable. While waiting, I saw some salads being served and they looked delicious. Thank-you for being open and for all the people who work there who make this possible. I will be a forever customer, and if you get the idea after things return to fairly normal, don't be shy about opening in Boca again. Until then, this will be the best short drive I take...life is good when you can buy great wings! read more

Ordered wings here while visiting Fort Lauderdale. They were just okay. The fries are just okay. I got the lemon pepper my daughter got Cajun and it was just okay. I'm not sure I'd go back. Place is not fancy at all - kind of hole in wall but this is normal for places with great food All 4 of us had different flavors and all were delicious Wings came crispy and no flowers at all - did I say crispy ( well done)!! What can I say about this place, I was looking for some good wings, I read some reviews but when I got there the place was dirty, smelly. People acted rude, food portions were small, wings were tiny and very dry, kinda like old meat that was unfrozen. This is my first and last time visiting this place. Is driving from downtown Fort Lauderdale to this hidden place in an older, almost industrial part of Pompano Beach worth the drive? I gave it five stars, didn't I? Wings 'n' Things is a "sit down, get dirty, and enjoy the food" type of place. If you're expecting gold leaf moldings and South Beach chic furniture, well, you'll be welcomed inside anyway. There's something for everybody: the toy train choo-chooing and trekking along above you; the gazillions of televisions to watch the news or sports; me for the ladies to look at...that never happens. The servers are super friendly and funny! Don't be afraid to joke around with them. It makes the dining experience so much more enjoyable, like you're having a Sunday potluck with your funny and crazy relatives at the park. Ask for Teresa...she's a hoot! The wings are definitely bigger than some of the chain restaurants and are finger-lickin good! Another Yelper mentioned in their review they could drink the sauce, it's so good. That might not be the healthiest thing to do, but you will definitely be tempted. I've stuck to their medium garlic and their sweet n tangy grilled, both great. My preference is the sweet n tangy grilled, but don't be afraid to venture out. The curly fries are definitely cut from fresh potatoes and piled high. The macaroni salad is a side you can't pass up! And you can't leave without getting their homemade 3-for-1 cookies! (The peanut butter cookies are amazing! Sucks if you have a nut allergy.) A great place to spend time with friends and get lost in the moment. I am extremely disatisfied with the wings as well as the response from the lady who answered the phone when I called to complain that my girlfriend was charged $15 more than what was specified over the phone. Ohhh where to begin. How in the universe does this place have good reviews? It's so SO dirty inside. Every single "clean" booth we tried to sit at was dirty, one had food on the seats and ALL the tables had salt all over them. The table we chosee was sticky too. We always order waters when we eat out because we aren't big soda drinkers. The water tasted terrible, so we ordered a soda. The soda tasted overwhelmingly like the water, and it was just grossing us out. We ordered the pork platter and the wings. The pulled pork was okay, but bland, and needed some salt. All in all not bad. The potato salad that it came with, was, well, basically boiled potatoes. It was horrid. We got the jerk wings, which weren't very good in my opinion, but my bf thought they were "alright". It came with the curly fries, which make me giggle when I think about how bad they were. How do you mess up something as delicious as curly fries?? Again, almost completely unsalted. On the bright side, we got the hot sauce with the wings, which is amazing. We ordered the jerk wings, which were nice and crispy, but the sauce lacked flavor and didn't stick to the wings. They seemed overly oily and with very little seasoning. Dinner was the grilled chicken salad. The breast meat did not have much flavor. It tasted as though the grill needed a desperate cleaning.
