We dare to call ourselves buffet connoisseurs, and this spot fell just a little short. It felt clean upon arrival, and we were seated right away, which was a great start. However, the selection felt a bit limited. I understand the effort to minimize food waste, but many trays were empty and not being replenished. Others that were running low looked like they had been sitting out for a while and were a bit dried up. Thankfully, they had a hibachi station where you can select items to be freshly stir-fried, which was definitely the highlight of the meal. We had a very good lunch experience here. It's a buffet of both Chinese and Japanese food plus a hibachi station, too. I did a brief walk around and decided to try the Chinese side first. Sampled egg rolls, dumplings, shrimp, two types of chicken, baby clams, baked stuffed oysters. My only minor quibbles were that the oysters were just stuffing oyster flavored and the hot food could have been hotter in temperature. On my second plate, I tried some of the sushi including seaweed salad and squid salad; masago; krab; California roll. Tried another "oyster" just to see if the first one was a one off -- without an oyster -- but no. Also had a very good salt n pepper shrimp and an excellent baked mussel. Then there were the desserts -- lots of little cakes, fried doughnuts puddings, flan, ice cream, etc. I enjoyed the lychees and the hot apple pie the most. Almost everything was in the very good category. And there's certainly a lot of choices and quantity. We'd been to this location many times over the years through all its restaurant genres. Came here for my dad's birthday yesterday. They have a great selection of sushi and other dishes you don't see in other buffets. The place is kept clean and the food was yummy. The service was also great and our waitress was attentive and helpful. I also like how the ice cream was in individual containers. Well finally a hit for this Pompano Beach corner! Madness Buffet is a great addition to the community and should do quite well here serving Palm Aire, Cypress Bend , The Pomp, and local workers in the community. The food is very fresh and very delicious! I served myself mainly from the Sushi buffet. The hot dishes from the other buffet sections were tempting. My wife always kids me for asking if there is Banana pudding for dessert, no matter what restaurant or cuisine... Well they do have a dessert buffet and they have BANANA PUDDING! ... and it is a very good Banana pudding at that! read more

Located in Pompano right between 95 and the turnpike and across the street from Harrah's The Pomp casino, this fairly new sushi, Chinese, and hibachi buffet is a great new addition to the buffet space in Broward. Adult prices range from $15.99 - $22.99 depending on lunch, dinner, or weekend. Seniors and kids 3-10 are discounted. Staff if welcoming and around to clean plates, fill drinks, clean and refresh the buffet. We came on a weekend and there was a decent flow of customers but we never saw a wait or did it get super crowded. The busiest spot at one point was the hibachi pick up drop off area. For the price you get a good variety of warm dishes and the sushi was fresh. They didn't have any seaweed salad which I always look forward to on a sushi buffet. They have shrimp cocktail and raw oysters but they did not have crab legs. Hibachi had a wide selection of items to include, some I haven't seen before on a hibachi line. Desserts were pretty standard for a buffet but the did have lychees so that is always a plus in my book. Not sure what the difference is between lunch and dinner as far as the food offered goes but it's very hard to go out nowadays and get a good quality meal for either of those prices, let alone all you can eat. I come from a family of all-you-can-eat buffet lovers, so it was basically a given that we had to check out Madness Buffet on Powerline Road near Atlantic Ave. It's located in the old Ruby Tuesday's spot (which I think was also a seafood boil place at one point). We went on a weekday for lunch, which is a great deal at $15.99 (dinner is $22.99). Right when I walked in, I was impressed--the restaurant is bright, clean, and very well-kept. The walls have fun graphics, but the real focus here is definitely the food. We were quickly seated at a comfortable table, and then it was time to dig in. We started with the sushi, which had a surprisingly large selection: spicy tuna, salmon, kani, Philadelphia rolls, veggie rolls, and a few specialty options like the Florida, Madness, and Love rolls. I also tried some of the cold items, including Caesar salad, cucumber salad, a really tasty apple slaw, and fresh peel-and-eat shrimp. For hot foods, there's a solid variety--hibachi, fried favorites, and a mix of chicken, seafood, and other dishes. Standouts for us included the dumplings, green beans, seafood boil, crab Rangoon, and little neck clams. They also offer a selection of soups if you're in the mood for something lighter. Dessert had plenty of options too: fresh fruit, Jell-O, pudding, small cake slices, palmiers, and ice cream. One thing I really appreciated was that the ice cream comes in individual pre-packaged cups--much more hygienic than the typical buffet setup. I tried the fudge and strawberry ripple, and both were delicious. They also offer vanilla and even cotton candy. Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive without being overbearing. They regularly cleared plates, refilled drinks, and checked in on us. The level of service really stood out. Overall, I thought the quality and variety of food were excellent for the price. Even the restroom was spotless, which says a lot about how well they maintain the place. You can tell they're on top of everything. This new buffet place was great... for $15.99 lunch ($14.99 if you are senior over 65) you get a large variety of sushi, soups, hibachi, raw bar, hot food, fried food, desserts and more. I thought the quality of the food was really good compared to other similar buffet establishments in the area. And the price is very attractive. The staff was very nice. All the stations were very cleaned and food was replenished often. My favorite dishes were the steamed tilapia, the chicken teriyaki, the egg drop soup, the sushi (over 20+ types), the little neck clams, the chicken on a stick, the hibachi and the seafood boil. Located across from the Harrah's Casino is the newly opened Madness Buffet. It is an all-you-can eat restaurant offering a wide variety of American-Chinese cuisine, a hibachi station, freshly made sushi rolls, meats & seafood, and yummy desserts all at a moderate price. There is also a to-go option priced by the pound. I stopped by for lunch. After I greeted the hostess, got seated quickly, and gave my drink order, I walked around the various stations to see what was being offered. The various food items were neatly displayed and labeled for identification. I made sure to take small portions so I would not get overly full too quickly. The atmosphere was casual, featuring a large brightly-lit dining area suitable for groups. The employees were hardworking. They made sure to replenish the displayed food items when necessary. The support staff came around in a timely manner to remove the empty plates, refill your beverage, and to make sure the tables are cleaned for the next guests. I was stuffed after three plates. For $20, I was able to eat to my stomach's capacity, which was not bad at all. I thoroughly enjoyed my first dining experience at Madness Buffet and hope it won't be my last. read more

After months of waiting, Madness Buffet has finally opened! I am so happy that it did! From the moment you walked in, the staff was welcoming and the buffet was clean and bright! After being seated, I made my way around the buffet to see what I wanted to eat. Have targeting everything I wanted, I went straight to the sushi bar. The sushi chefs were nice enough to explain to me what was in some of the rolls in their specialty area. I then went over to the Chinese buffets followed by The hibachi. Everything tasted fresh with delicious aftertastes. I took my time so it's not to get filled too quickly. I can honestly say that I enjoyed every single bite! Great selection of just about everything you can think of. it has a few things other buffets did not offer. it was clean and inviting. the server was always coming to refill sodas and take away old plates. I truly enjoyed it. I did not feel like I had to stuff myself because it was an all you could eat because it was so reasonable for a senior at 15.00. Eat what you want and come another day. The general tso chicken... idk, the chicken didn't taste like chicken. And I wasn't too fond of the flavor. The crab rangoons were huge, the dumplings were really good. After a drive from central Orlando, we arrived at Wyndham, hungry and tired. As I looked out the hotel balcony, this place caught my eye. Hardly a five minute walk, and the smell of fresh fruit and flawlessly cooked steak wafted to us. The restaurant was clean and everything was being made fresh as we walked in, with a beautiful atmosphere. Greeted and seated immediately, and the hostess was so kind. First round, I absolutely demolished two plates of sushi and nigiri, all made by Kai, who is so sweet! Delicious and high quality fish, with excellent rolls. My favorite was their Volcano roll. Next up, PAN SEARED DUMPLINGS. Need I say more? Absolutely delectable, along with their Wonton Soup. Also, fresh, made to order Hibachi. I unfortunately did not get to eat any of it, having absolutely decimated sushi ahead of time, however, my family informed me it was delicious. The dessert was also so genuinely good. The hibachi was awesome. The sushi was fabulous though they do not have a very large selection. But for what they had it was awesome. The service with clearing the tables was great. But we had to as for water refills. They were not on top of that. But when we asked they were on top of it. Definitely worth a try. No lunch pricing on weekends except for seniors. read more

Madness was an easy walk from the Wyndham Palm Aire resort next door. It was a fairly typical Chinese buffet, however had a large selection of sushi rolls & even had some shashimi too. We always Yelp every business we deal with and are usually aligned with the general information in the reviews. Today was different. According to the reviews on Yelp Madness Buffet was supposed to be a step above the standard. This was not my experience. I know to not expect stunning culinary excellence for the bulk Chinese / American items at a buffet, but the sushi should be the star. It wasn't. While the chefs were accommodating and polite, the rice was bland and the sushi/sashimi was disappointing. The chef brought some items we wanted to the table which was a first for us and impressive, but the food did not taste as yummy as it looked or as it was suggested it would. Prices were relatively low for the huge offering of items. The people were super attentive and quick with the exception of the hibachi station. If you like to people watch you will be in your element. It was surprising to see small plastic condiment cups for soy sauce. My son liked this place, and the little one liked the prepackaged ice cream readily available in the freezer, but I don't think I'll give it a second chance. Especially since my favorite dessert was not refilled and I only had a small condiment cup of flan. #flanshot read more

We found this restaurant on Yelp. It was clean. They had hibachi in addition to sushi and other food. But the sushi rice did not taste good. They had more greasy Chinese and American food than the sushi that they advertise. The one dessert that we liked wasn't replenished. Wait staff were in a rush to clear tables and get new customers seated. We will go back to Fujimura in Coral Springs next time. read more

Had to try out the new madness buffet, only around since early January, another Friday night adventure. We arrived around 7:00pm and were given a number with a wait of 20 mins given. (Pretty standard for a Friday night at any decent buffet). We were seated in less than the promised 20 minutes and upon first look, it was notable just how clean they are keeping this place. Every food table had a sign that children under 10 must be accompanied by parents, (and no young children were seen digging in the food) a definite plus. For this price point... worth every dollar. I tried every type of shrimp all were well prepared and not one was overcooked, from in garlic butter to coconut to whole and fried all delicious. Raw oysters were well chilled, very fresh and served alongside cocktail sauce and horseradish. Chinese staple s well appointed ... chicken with broccoli, general tsos all so good. Servers were very friendly and they cleared the tables faster than a corvette on I 95 on a Friday night. Decent selection of sushi and hand rolls, hibachi available too. For around 23$ a person for a Friday night ... worth every penny. Hope they keep up this standard and remain as clean as the restaurant continues... definitely worth a visit. read more

There are lots of options at Madness Buffet. Your typical Chinese dishes & soups, salads sushi rolls, a hibachi grill and desserts. Some of their items and dishes are quite tasty. Others are mediocre tasting. Still others have sauces that just don't taste right. If you enjoy sushi, I would highly recommend Madness Buffet. There were 2 men keeping their offerings stocked at all times. In addition, they had sauces that I tried for the first time that were delicious. Their adult lunch served until 3:30PM costs $15.99. The seating was well organized around the perimeter of the buffet / sushi area and in a separate room. The chairs were quite comfortable. What was most impressive were the utensils. They were sturdier than that found at similar priced Chinese buffets. Their knives could actually cut. As you finished a plate of food, the wait staff asked if they could remove the empty plate. They made certain your water glass was filled. The meat quality was better at Madness Buffet but the flavoring of the dishes was inferior to other comparably priced Chinese Buffets in the vicinity. The one major disappointment was the taste of their hot and sour soup. I like spicy food but their soup was just a little too spicy for me which makes it way too spicy for most people. It was not edible. Conclusion, if you just want sushi and hibachi and can find a few Chinese dishes that you like here then it is fine and worth returning to. On the other hand if you are coming for their Chinese dishes, appetizers and soups then choose a different Chinese buffet. read more

The hot foods are really good to a buffet. They have peanut chicken which I haven't seen on most buffets. The buffalo wings and fire wings are good too. I didn't try the sushi but there were a lot to options. I also like that they have single serve retail ice cream cups so you are not dealing with the the dirty scooper over reaching customers. We went for lunch and were greeted and seated promptly. The server came right over to take our drink order. Since it is a buffet, we went and had an assortment of dishes from soup to lychee nuts! Everything was fresh and appetizing. Nothing was too spicy but the hot and sour soup & General Tso's chicken could have been just a little spicier, but that is just my taste because I like spicy food. I realize that they have to take all kinds of tastes into consideration when serving buffet style. I didn't try the hibachi on this trip but assuredly will do so on my next visit. The restaurant is in its third iteration since I have been here. First was Ruby Tuesday's and we enjoyed it very much, especially the salad bar. Next was Maison du Crab, which didn't show me much. We have been longtime residents of the Pompano Beach area and have eaten at most of the Chinese restaurants and or Chinese buffets in Broward County. Some are good while some are poorly maintained with questionable cleanliness standards. We have been anxiously waiting for MADNESS BUFFET to open when we found out it was going to be an Asian Buffet style restaurant. It is located near Palm Aire On Powerline Road (just North of Atlantic Blvd) and is in the location where Ruby Tuesday was previously (next to a T-Mobile store) . It took some time for the restaurant to open and at times we thought it may never open. Lots of storage construction containers around the restaurant so we figured it was going to be quite a long process to redo the inside of the restaurant. It opened up this last month and boy, was it well worth the wait. As we entered the restaurant around 12 noon on Sunday 2/15, we asked for a booth. The hostess informed us that they only had table seating but the chairs were comfortable like a sofa and yes they were! Some of the most comfortable seats I have enjoyed compared to most other restaurants. Upon walking in, we were amazed at the beautiful décor. The entire interior from ceiling to floor was beautiful. Large ceramic tiles floor to ceiling, marble type flooring, decorative wooden slats on the ceiling and multiple changing display screens throughput the restaurant. The one over the square shaped sushi/seafood area was impressively huge with moving fish as well as many other designs. No expense was spared in the décor from the window shades to the buffet tables which had beautiful vertical lit tubing highlighting the corners of each buffet table. Simply stunning. The waitress came right away and we ordered our sodas (only $2.99) and they came back to refill them without asking. There are plenty of napkins already at the table as well as salt/pepper/soy sauce, so no waiting to flag down a waitress like in other places. The buffet stations were beautifully displayed with a myriad of choices. Each selection was kept full and fresh throughout out our dining time there. There was no waiting for anything to be refilled on the buffet and there was nothing at all that didn't look like it was just made. The selection could please any palate, adult of child.  If you like sushi, there was a very large selection beautifully prepared, some in varieties and shapes that I have not seen or tasted before. In addition, they had multiple varieties of sashimi, including salmon, tuna, and others. Again, this is normally found on more expensive buffets only. Not a sushi fan, no problem. They had peeled shrimp, large mussels, raw oysters (which you normally only find on much more expensive buffets). There were small little neck clams, coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, seafood boil, salmon, steamed fish and so much more. Not a seafood fan? Again, no problem. Lots of standard Chinese dishes and multiple varieties of soup. There was also a fully stocked manned Hibachi area with all kinds of proteins and vegetables. Lots of choices for kids like chicken tenders, pizza, noodles and many more dishes to appeal to the young ones. They also have a salad area that has items like octopus salad, jello, etc. By then we were very full from eating some of our favorite foods and ended our meal with a little cake from their dessert bar and a small cup of ice cream.  Before we left, we noticed almost the entire restaurant was full of people. Word is getting out fast. Prices are very fair ($22.99 for weekend adult lunch and dinner and $20.99 for seniors) which included sushi, sashimi, oysters, etc. Sodas $2.99 as mentioned. The waitress and the staff were extremely friendly and thanked us for dining with the. By the way, sorry that I don't have pictures of the many buffet tables, hibachi area, seafood/sushi area, etc. We sat down to eat and by the time I thought about taking pictures, there were too many people there around the buffet tables and I did not feel comfortable taking pictures with people in it, without their permission. In conclusion, great fresh food selection, magnificent décor, excellent service and at a very good price in today's pricey restaurant environment. Hope you enjoy it  like we did.
