This place has been here forever! I think I even used to go here with my ex so that's ancient! For some reason I was craving chicken wings so we came here. They've redone it a bit. At least replacing the carpet, so it doesn't smell like cigarettes like it used to do. Although people do go right out side the front door to smoke. And there is an outside patio now so maybe (not sure) it's pet friendly too. Anyhow, it's a basic menu of wings and things as the name suggests. It's a very casual place -- jeans or anything permitted. And they still have a unique feature - which the kids will love - a miniature train. The track is high up near the ceiling so no worries, but it travels around through the restaurant and entertains awhile your waiting for your order. Service is fairly fast. We just got (each) a 10 piece order. They come on 6 or even a family size. I got their lemon pepper medium; he got raspberry hot. They're not as good as those from the original Chez Porky's which was across the street, but will do when you're craving grease. The lemon pepper were very peppery so I rinsed them off a bit in the sauce in the bottom of the basket. Luckily, lots of napkins are provided. They have lunch specials and daily specials so check the boards or ask your servers. Even salad eaters can find some options. It's a neighborhood place. We've been coming here for 20 years. Today, we walked in and sat down for lunch. The waitress showed up with no mask, as if there weren't a concern in the world. We took a quick look around, and realized no worker whatsoever was wearing a mask. It quickly became obvious where they sit on the whole issue. And it wasn't just about their own personal rights; it was about everyone because they were affecting (and maybe infecting) everyone. We were surprised because this is a service establishment, with literally thousands of customers per week. We could've been rude by getting up and walking out, but it was kinda too late by this point. And like I said, we were a bit stunned and unsure what to do. We tried putting on our masks when the server showed up... but that was hard to do because the element of surprise was on their side. But safety is supposed to be the other way around. I mean, who's serving who here? To be clear, I'm opposed to closing restaurants, bars, parks, and beaches because of Covid. Never agreed with that approach. BUT, I think it's irresponsible and insulting for a business establishment to wantonly shift the burden of safety on to its customers. Good food, but this was very disappointing. I started going to the Wings' n Things off Broward Boulevard east of 441 back in 1981. Once that location closed, chicken wings weren't the same anywhere else. I learned about the Pompano Beach location just a couple of years ago, and have been going ever since. The food at this location is good and consistent. I walked through the doors of Wings'n Things and immediately was transferred back to the #412 that I repped for 29 years before moving to South Florida. When I saw pictures online I noticed a few pictures of Pittsburgh Steelers memorabilia, but this place is kind of on another level- yellow walls, tons of Steelers swag, and the people- the people in the restaurant (the patrons) all look like everyone from my hometown, mock turtlenecks and all. It was out of this world. Enough about my trip down memory lane. Wings'n Things was great. Definitely has a northern diner vibe. Great employees who are busting it to serve you. Our server was great. I wish I had his name to give him a shout out. Constantly checking in and making sure things were great. I ordered a large salad which should have been labeled as "enormous salad", wings and fries. A well-balanced meal. The wings were good. They had a lot of sauce on them. They advertised that you can get them "extra wet". I cant imagine them being wetter... The fries were just ok. They were a little too shoestring like for my taste, but they were ok. The wings come with a variety of flavors. I double checked with our waiter before ordering that they wings were naked and not breaded and he confirmed. I went with some BBQ and I was good to go. The one con to this overall is that both my friend and I had a little Bridesmaid-esque moment immediately following our meals. We ate the exact same thing so we aren't sure what the actual cause of it was. Here's the thing- the food is delicious. 12/29/2016 - This place has charm. Reminded me of Key West when we parked. They have a nice deck area with a TV and I should of sat outside because it is freezing inside. We sat on a booth and had Meghan as our waitress. She was very nice and attentive. I ordered the lemon and pepper wings, all drums, no sides, no sauce. It came with both which I did not mind but that is loss revenue/waste for them. The wings had a really nice flavor, very peppery. I ended up taking two drums home and they tasted even better the next day....and I ate them cold. I ordered the curly fries as well, but they were unseasoned and unsalted. I haven't been to Wings N Things in probably over 15 years but I was craving some GOOD wings and honestly so many places just don't cut it or they're EXPENSIVE. Even my old dentist's office is next door from when my parents worked in Pompano. We ordered beer from a great list of domestic and import choices and sat outside since the weather had finally cleared up and it wasn't humid for once. I was excited to have their curly fries again, they didn't disappoint and I got 10 minced garlic and Parmesan wings with ranch. This place has been around for many years and I am not surprised. It has a classic décor that hasn't changed in years, but that gives it character. There is a train running around the ceiling...fun for kids to watch. There is a large outside patio or you can dine inside. There is an attached parking lot. I ordered a bowl of chili, which was well flavored but no kick to it. They serve everything in disposable dishes. My friends had wings that they raved about. The corn nuggets are good to share. they have Rootbeer, Diet Rootbeer, and Birch Beer.....you don't find that on every menu. Prices are very good for the quality of food you receive. read more

I've been coming to Wings N Things for roughly 12 years. I used to love this place and had no problem supporting this business. Unfortunately I had a horrible experience by one of the servers on February 24 and will no longer be supporting this business. I had family that came in from out of the country and they don't speak English, so I was speaking Spanish. When we sat, my family was looking around the restaurant as this is the first time there. Waitress Jaime was standing at the register with her coworker (the big guy, I did not get his name) and she says loud "why are they staring at me? They just sat down, like come on stop looking at me" and he laughed. She said this so loud that I was able to hear and it seemed like she didn't know I spoke English. When she came to take our order, she proceeded with a bad attitude.. Mind you, I haven't spoken to anyone at the restaurant as of yet. After she took my order, I did not see her again. Someone else served me my food. I never felt discriminated in my life due to my ethnicity and cannot believe this happened here. I didn't say anything to them at the time as I had family in town and did not want to make a big deal out of it. I called the owner Theresa recently and expressed my concern with her. She took her time, listened and apologized for this inconvenience, which I really appreciate it It is unfortunate they have a waitress like her representing this business. Went here on a Thursday night because the wing place in Pompano I usually go to now closes at 8pm... Anyways, the place was basically empty and a waitress attended to us right away. The food was pretty decent for the price; I got a half rack of ribs plus the 6 piece wings and a side for $22. Ribs and wings were tasty. Only thing is they charge for blue cheese and they don't have salads as a side. Other than that it was fabulous. read more

I can't comment on the things but the wings are the best in the area. I'm a fan of off menu dishes so I asked a few friends and found out about Missy Wings. So a waitress, you guessed it named Missy, has the flavor concoction that is not lacking in the flavor department by any means. The only reason I would order a different wing would be heat. I love some hot wings but I'm guessing I could ask for them to be hotter. Service was a bit slow but we had a large group. I'll definitely be back with a smaller group. read more

Truth be told this restaurant is across the street from one of my favorite little wing joints. On my trip in one day I realized they were closed for vacation and decided to give wings'n things a try. This place is always packed and on a Thursday for lunch it was no different. It's a very laid-back, family run sports bar. I got an order of the raspberry wings and curly fries. They were 'okay'. Wing temperature was a little all over the place. Some were crispy some not, one of the bigger wings was still pink in the inside. Fries were extremely greasy and were served in the same basket as the wings so they were dripping in the raspberry sauce (I guess that would be a plus or minus for some people). Overall I probably would not rush back here. If I was ever in the situation where I ate here again I would try a different wing flavor or maybe one of their other dishes. read more

I've been coming here for a decade and the food never disappoints. The trifecta wings are perfectly grilled and you can't beat their lunch specials. Their bleu cheese is what dreams are made of. They give you about 2lbs of fries in a paper bag, so by the time you get to eat them, they are soggy and stuck together. I don't know who's behind the counter tonight or the kitchen, but I just spent $30 for a greasy messI ordered 16 wings extra crispy with the hot sauce on the side (so they don't get soggy). What I got were wings sitting in a puddle of oil, and ONE 2Oz cup of wing sauce. I repeat... ONE 2Oz small cup of wing sauce for 16 wings. The curly fries were inedible, because they were stuffed into a small bag with nowhere for the steam to go. They were so soggy and greasy that not even my oven could save them. The curly fries were soggy and oily but the tatter tots were nice and crispy on the outside and perfect texture on the inside. We also had small house salads which were very big. I moved to the neighborhood and thought I'd give this place a try with hamburger orders as did my wife. We were served oil-drenched fries and tasteless burgers and to top it off, the fountain "Pepsi' we ordered was syrupy and had zero fizz. We were both very disappointed by the food (we left most of it uneaten) and vowed never to go there again. It's a pity as the place has cool decor and vibe to it but the hostess wasn't friendly and was slow and inattentive. Giving it 2 stars is generous- we will not eat there again.
