My cousins and I went to Spice and Vybe on Sunday night after a long day out. I was really craving wings, and this spot has a wide variety of sauces with different spice levels, which I appreciated. The place was pretty quiet when we went. There were only about three other tables, so it was a relaxed vibe, and the service was quick, which we loved. The food overall was good. I ordered the lemon pepper wings. I'll be honest, they weren't my favorite. The seasoning could have been stronger or more flavorful. That said, their fries were good. We also ordered chicken tenders, and those were a hit. Super crispy and honestly some of the best tenders we've had. Everyone at the table enjoyed them. We tried their lemonade too, and if you like sweet drinks, this one is perfect for you. My cousins ordered another wing flavor that was sweet and spicy. On November 13, I called Spice N Vybe to inquire about hosting a small birthday gathering for my birthday on November 26. I was given the owner's phone number, called, and left a voicemail. I never received a return call. On November 19, I contacted Spice N Vybe via Instagram. As of January 7, 2026, that message remains unread. Also on November 19, I called and spoke directly with Linda, who confirmed that I could host my birthday gathering at Spice N Vybe with friends and family. We discussed using the patio for approximately 15-20 guests, and I informed her that I would have decorations and a cake. On November 26, I arrived at 6:00 PM, one hour before guests were expected to arrive. I introduced myself to the cashier, who called Linda over to speak with me. After Linda gave me approval to begin setting up, we started decorating. About 20 minutes into setup, Linda approached me and stated that the owner wanted to speak with me. He was on the phone and observing us through the security cameras. He asked for my name and questioned what we were doing. I explained that it was my birthday and that guests were expected to arrive within the next 30 minutes. I told him that I called him weeks ago and left a voicemail, and he said he never got the call and proceeded to confirm the same number that I called. I also shared that each year I intentionally choose a local business to support for my birthday, especially since my birthday falls close to Thanksgiving, when many people stay home with family. Despite this, the owner instructed me to remove the decorations, stating that nothing could be set up due to insurance requirements and because I had not paid for the space. He mentioned that events often leave messes and that insurance is required to cover potential damage. None of this information had been communicated to me in any prior interaction. When I arrived at 6:00 PM and asked about using the patio, the staff did not know the pricing. It was only after the owner directed them to a pricing sheet that I was informed of the cost. I was shocked by the pricing and stated that I was both unable and unwilling to pay such a fee 20 minutes before guests were scheduled to arrive. We immediately took down the decorations, organized everything, cleaned the area, and left the space exactly as we found it. I then sat in my car, located a nearby Thai restaurant, and redirected my party there for my birthday dinner. I intended to support a local Black-owned business during the holiday season, but was unable to do so due to a significant lack of communication and clarity. I have been a loyal customer of this establishment since 2021, when it was previously known as Perry Wings, and have patronized Spice N Vybe multiple times. This place is the one! My family and I went to the establishment because we heard they have a live band from certain hours and the food wasn't bad. Actually, the spot was a pleasant surprise. When we arrived at the counter, we were overwhelmed by the different variety of wings that they had. The chicken was flavorful as a matter of fact we had their Spicy lemon pepper vibe, and another type of chicken that I can't remember. They all were excellent their sauce reminds me of a spot in Daytona Beach called Bethune Grill. As a matter of fact their sauce may be better than Bethune grills. The macaroni and cheese was good. Could've used a little bit of salt, but I think it compliments the flavor from the wings and their rice was delectable. The ambience was nice and quaint, and the establishment was clean. We decided to take the family here on our way back from the beach, it was a quick and easy drive. We got wings, a sandwich, shrimp and chicken bites. They didnt have a kids menu but the chicken bites and shrimp were a great portion for kids. The food was delicious! I am wishing we would have bought some of the sauce because each sauce on the wings were great! My favorite was recommended by the girl who took our order. I see me coming here with my friends to chill out on a regular .The restaurant was clean and inviting. I was a bit unsettled with the ordering process. There wasn't much uniformity at the register to place your order. They also do not offer table side service. You have to order at the register first if you want to dine in. I ordered their 6 pcs lemon pepper wings with fries and a Mango Passionfruit Margarita. Please drink responsibly as I took about 3 sips and I felt a bit tipsy lol. The wings weren't as good as I had Sunday but the lemon pepper sauce was A1. I did also have to wait on the correct order of wings to come out as the employee brought me the wrong flavor. They were both delicious, the pain killer is a tropical drink that tastes like a pins colada on ice. All of the wing flavors were awesome. With every bite the flavors danced around on my palate. The snapper bites were paired perfectly with a breadfruit toastones. They were both seasoned and cooked to perfection. I simply loved the fried cauliflower which is lightly battered and flash fried and served covered in the signature vybe( lightly sweet )sauce. I also enjoyed a vegi joloof wrap, which was so good.
