2 years now and still my favorite place to get wings when in town. The quality remains top notch. And love that now I can sub out carrots for celery and if you don't want veggies you can add a side fry for $1. Place was packed Saturday as expected with some big football games going on but the staff is still on top of taking care of the customers.
Casual spot for the best wings. Highly recommend! Tons of flavor options to experiment with, and love that you can blend 2 flavors in one wing order.
I love Wings Plus! But please put in a changing table in the bathrooms! My daughter went #2 and I had to change her in my trunk in 90+ degree heat. Not fun.
Service, food, and wait time was amazing! I'd been hearing how delicious the wings are at this restaurant and finally decided to try over the weekend. From the moment we walked in, Ilene was super kind and assisted us. I figured that the food must be great because there was non stop pick up orders and people dining inside. The wait for my food which was a 25 count wings and curly fries was about 20 minutes. I tried the key west flavor and bourbon. FYI If you want to do half and half with flavors, you'll have to do 15 and 10 for the 25 count. I was ordering for 2 people and wanted it that way. I also tried the large curly fries. I'm not sure if maybe the batch we received had been sitting for a while or if that is normal, but they lacked salt and weren't fresh which is how I prefer my fries. Nevertheless, the food was delicious and I'll definitely be returning to try their Philly cheesesteak and a few other menu items. Special thanks to the staff and to Ilene for sharing such beautiful story with me and being kind.
Went to Wings Plus in Fort Lauderdale and had a great experience, largely because of Amber, the waitress working the bar. Amber was attentive, personable, and genuinely cared about getting the order right. She didn't rush anything, explained options clearly, and went the extra mile in a way you rarely see. Before saucing the wings, she actually showed me the texture so I could confirm how crispy I wanted them -- that level of attention is next-level. The wings themselves were excellent: crispy, well-cooked, and properly sauced. You can tell they take pride in how the food comes out, not just cranking plates. Good food is expected. Service like Amber's is not. She made the experience. I'll be back -- and I'll be sitting at the bar again if she's working.
I decided to give this place a try since so many of my colleagues and peers brag that they have the best wings in South Florida.. I do agree that the wings are very tasty! However, I personally think they are overpriced for their size. I also didn't really enjoy the curly fries as much as I thought I would.. The service was fine. The ambiance was that of a typical dive bar.
Been coming to this Wings Plus since I was a kid. Walking in for the first time, it definitely seems older and outdated...because it is. They use the same cups for the drinks and bowls for the wings that they always have! But for me, it's incredibly nostalgic. One thing you can count on is Wings Plus always being busy, but I've never had to wait super long. Our server the last time we came in was Marvette. Despite being incredibly busy, she never forgot to keep checking in on us, which I appreciate so much. My go-to is a ten piece wing, fried hard, with key west sauce. Its the perfect slightly sweet, slightly tangy, slightly spicy sauce. This time I added garlic and it made it 100 times better! They also have some of the best blue cheese in the business. My mom got a ten piece wing as well, half key west, half garlic parm. FYI if you order the wings extra crispy, they actually bring them out to your table after they fry them, to ensure you're happy with the level of crispiness. We always get the curly fries as an app (you have to eat them with ketchup and white vinegar! Delicious) and the fried mushrooms served with a horseradish sauce. They're perfectly crispy on the outside with a nicely sized, juicy mushroom on the inside. For two ten-piece wings, fries, mushrooms and two drinks, the order came to $52.70. That's an incredibly good deal considering how expensive wings are nowadays, on top of the fact that their wings are big! Stop by Wings Plus, get an order of key west wings and a curly fry. You won't be disappointed.
Wings here are quite good. You don't have to ask them to cook the wings "extra crispy" as they normally cook them crispy. I always ask for mild/medium sauce on the Buffalo wings as I find it has the perfect amount of spicy kick for me. Blue cheese has too many poppy seeds in it and a bit too strong tasting. The environment here is unfortunately pretty sad. Customer service could be much better from the lady and guy running this place. Any issue is usually met with them not doing much for you. As an example, one time when ordering wings, 90% of our order had flats instead of the "approximately" 50/50 split of flats and drums you typically get at restaurants. Shockingly, I had to discuss this "at length" with the guy running the place who kept saying there's no guarantee of the ratio and suggested I pay the extra money and get one order of all drums and then pay extra again on a second order of all flats. Really?...all I wanted was a few extra drums to try and even it out a bit, and he said "we will be losing money!" if he did that. Oh brother. The ventilation in here needs to be much better as it has a strong smell of cooked wings everywhere. The whole inside of this place really needs to reworked. It just feels too old. They need to spend some money on renovations. Make the customer more comfortable and you'll get a lot more respect, and business. Also, the place is usually freezing cold inside, so bring a sweater.

Wings Plus is my favorite restaurant in town for chicken wings! The Key West flavor is my go to for sauce, but they have many options that are all great. They're also known for their house-made blue cheese, although that's never something I'd order. The onion rings were just fair, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else--just order extra wings instead! read more

If you're looking for the BEST wings in The 954... it's here at Wings Plus (Prospect Rd). They have mild all the way to hot made exactly how you want and specialty flavors like sinus stimulator Habañero, teriyaki, jerk, lemon pepper, asian just to name a few. The service is quick and efficient. This family run business has been around 40 years... that's no accident! It's amazing! In a town with so many choices. As far as vibe, think quiet sports bar but with your neighbors and families and friends. That's why I keep coming back. The food the service and the cool vibe. And if you need quantity... I need something for a party tonight. They got you!!! In less than 20 minutes. Until next time...cheers!!! read more
So, I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY- Which is, as everyone knows, the city that Chicken Wings in a sauce, as a thing were invented. The concept of cooking wings in peppery hot sauce was born in 1964 at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, when co-owner Teressa Bellissimo cooked leftover wings in hot sauce as a late-night snack for her son and his friends. It's been one of my favorite foods since I was little, and I figure myself as a self proclaimed Buffalo Chicken wing connoisseur. Since I've moved to SoFlo in 2014 from NY, I've been struggling to find a decent chicken wing in Florida. Buffalo Wings aren't baked or breaded or eaten with Ranch you heathens! They are fried in a deep fryer, crispy, and tossed in a sauce of your flavor, and served with Bleu cheese dressing and carrots and celery. Usually Buffalo Wing sauce like Frank's Red Hot, and a little butter. Flavors have nicely multiplied since the mid-60's. So, after 8 disappointing years in South Florida, I have found the real deal for Buffalo wings that are comparable to most places in Buffalo, NY. Enter Wings Plus, located in a strip mall in Oakland Park off Andrews. I have had them on my radar for a few months, and decided to pick up 25 for myself last night. Extra crispy/well done, half hot Buffalo, half Key West style. This place has A LOT of flavors. These wings are on point compared to anywhere else in South Florida except Casa di Pizza in Bradenton, FL. Cooked exceptionally, served with thier own house made Bleu cheese that is something else, in the sauce of your style. Big, jumbo wings, not skinny anemic pigeon wings you get at most other Wing joints. Try the Key West flavor.. Damn they are good!! This will be my only wing joint moving forward. BTW, Wings Plus wears the Crown for Best in SoFlo as voted by the people year after year. I'd drive 30-45 min for them. This is saying something for an OG Buffalo guy that grew up feasting on Buffalo's best culinary invention. Go Bills!!! read more

Service is fast Wings are great! Love how their is a lot of sauce!!! Not a super fan of their blue cheese, but that is just me. I wish the fries had a bit more flavor, but decent fries. Definitely will go back for some wings! read more

I'd had craving for chicken wings and found this place through Yelp. Can't believe they've been here 37 years (eek!) and I'd never tried them. We already know we will be coming back... We both ordered their small order which had ten wings. Chicken wings are quite popular now and are in short supply so prices have gone up quite a bit. Being well aware of this, we had no problem with their cost. Regular Buffalo wings are less expensive, but we each had our favorite specialty flavors we wanted. In addition, I asked for all flats which are a couple dollars more, when available. He got his raspberry wings with a medium hotness. I got my lemon pepper ones mild-medium so there was just a touch of heat. We both liked that they were crispy and served piping hot. Along with the wings were celery sticks and a poppy seed blue cheese dip. We didn't add any fries or sides, but we could have. The mounds of fries looked quite good. As it was, we each had leftovers and took home boxes. Service was very good. She checked on us and provided everything we needed. The kitchen was fast and we got our food quickly. So all in all a very good lunch experience. read more

This is your neighborhood sports bar. There football, baseball, and boxing memorabilia on the walls. It was really cool. I walked in and was told to pick my own table. I loved that because I was able to find the best spot for my family. The waitress was attentive and really sweet. I ordered wings and I picked two flavors. This spot lets you pick the flavor of your wings and you can add as many flavors to your wings as you like. You can't beat the options on flavors. Check out this spot if you're in the area. I enjoyed my wings and the blue cheese tasted homemade and delicious. read more

Im such a homegrown and Hometown girl that I absolutely adore businesses like this. This place has been here for as long as i can remember and one thing for certain the service and customer service here never lacks The food whether dine in or take out is always fresh. My favorite is the keywest wings like omg a fan fave. Savory is an understatement. The varieties for wings are pretty good. Dining inside and pick ups are available. The sides and pricing here pretty reasonable. Definitely will be back again and again. I love it here read more
I've been to the Wings plus three times In this area. Didn't realize they had two locations until I walked in and saw how much smaller this location was. Even the shopping center and the angle the parked cars looked the same. The service is pretty much the same in both locations. It was empty Saturday afternoon when we showed up. Our main purpose for coming here is the Philly cheesesteak. The sandwich is pretty large and recommend splitting if your not that hungry. I don't know what they do, but it's a pretty damn good sandwich. My boyfriend did mention that the bread was different, beats me. The jalapeño poppers were delicious and a great appetizer to start off with. It's so good that you don't really need the dipping sauce. Over all, looking for some good causal food, this is your place. read more
