Okay, so I definitely did not look for this place but ended up here looking for a quick bite before a show. Apparently it is a chain with several locations, and they are quite fond of their logo because it's everywhere! I can't speak to any of the others but this one was clean, maybe too clean? Definitely FRESHLY cleaned because it still smelled of cleaner inside. The place was empty but there was lots of space for people if it did get busy. Kinda dimly lit, but they are not going for the fast food vibe so it was okay, maybe more of a quick casual? The girl behind the counter was pleasant and friendly, answered our questions and helped us figure out what to order. Food definitely took awhile to arrive but they bill themselves as fresh food from real ingredients so we waited. We both ended up getting chicken tenders on top of rice with a garlic Parmesan sauce, and a side of waffle fries just to try them out. - Waffle fries was a decent portion, crispy outside and soft inside but no salt = no flavor. - Chicken was a crispy seasoned breading that was good, with a delicious sauce, but the chicken itself was overcooked and a little dried out. - Rice had no redeeming qualities with an odd not quite placeable seasoning that I wasn't a fan of. It's always cool to find something new, but I wouldn't come back...
I've driven by Mad Chicken many times heading to and from the beach, finally I decided to treat myself. This location has been many things over the years, most recently a Thai restaurant. There is plenty of parking. I was the only customer when I visited early on a Sunday afternoon. The interior was very clean and bright. There were signs sharing their story and about their food. They use real, natural ingredients. I ordered the Chicken deluxe sandwich, which was two tenders with lettuce, tomato and onions. The bun was fresh and soft. I normally don't care for fried tenders but I really enjoyed my sandwich. The employee asked if I wanted some of their sauce and I opted for the spicy variety. The sauce was so good, I dipped my waffle fries in it. I thought my combo meal was a real value at $14. My meal was ready quickly. Their menu includes sandwiches, bowls, tenders and wings. I'm glad I stopped at Mad Chicken.
Although this building has been a lot of different restaurants over the years, I was excited to see something new here. I think the last time we visited, it was a Thai restaurant. I wasn't familiar with the Mad Chicken chain before we stopped by but read a little about it at the restaurant. It's nice to know they have a family history and pride themselves on using "real" food. This restaurant is not a fast food one, but a fast casual. All meals are cooked fresh to order -- which is nice to know. So, expect a short wait for your food. We stopped by for lunch. They haven't been open very long, but they seemed to have everything down pat. We got a nice welcome. And later on, we were checked on to make sure everything was good and that we liked our food. I ordered their 6-piece boneless wings with honey mustard sauce. The chicken nugget like pieces were good, but I think next time I would order the traditional wings or their tenders. My husband ordered one of the bowls --- a mad fries one with waffle fries, chicken tenders, and shredded cheese. For a sauce (they have 14 different ones), he chose the hot honey garlic. The sauce wasn't that spicy, so I was able to try some of his meal, as well. The waffle fries were wonderful as was their white meat chicken tenders. For the size of the portion and the money, this was an excellent lunch choice. Every table was full inside when we dined there. They were also doing a bit of takeout. In addition to what we ordered, they also have a half dozen different sandwiches. And if you don't want/like fried you can get grilled chicken. There are also wraps, salads, a chicken biscuit or chicken & waffle. Since it was founded in Wisconsin, I guess that is the origin of having cheese curds as one of the six side options. I'm glad we stopped by. They should continue to do very well here. We look forward to visiting again to try some more of their menu.
What a great lunch here at Mad Chicken today! A fresh clean inviting venue with friendly service. A good place to enjoy your Chicken! I ordered the Mad Fries Bowl with waffle fries and shredded cheese. Hot Honey garlic dressing drizzled over the crispy white meat chicken. Everything was cooked just right! This not fast food ... they cook each order as it is placed. Not undercooked and not stewing in grease...Fresh fried and delivered to your table (if you are dining in). You'd be MAD if you passed this by!
Second time I went to this place and I have to say I was pleasantly. Surprise and well worth going back to. The one thing I have to say is that it is real chicken. No steroids and antibiotics added. Just like eating a basket of crawfish you gotta get at least a 10 piece combo. Small but tasty and the sauces you can't forget. To be honest with you, the waffle fries is not a big deal. They have standard Coke. But the next thing I'll be trying is the sandwiches. So far I have to recommend going to this place. Haven't been disappointed.
Got a chance to try out Mad Chicken today. I got the chicken madness with waffle fries. The food was fresh served to order and the tasty. Definitely will be back. Only reason I didn't give 5stars was the guy that took the order lacked customer service and not really friendly or helpful. The gentleman that brought our food was very pleasant and helpful. The place was also very clean and so was the restroom.
Wow!! I am so pleasantly surprised! I don't go to fast food restaurants because everything tastes like a variety of sponge item with maybe some crust on it. Except I had a bad craving for chicken wings, and lo and behold was passing by mad chicken, they were so yummy. Service was okay; they forgot to add my sauce but I didn't even care that's how good they were, plump little perfect wings with a bit of burnt edge and very moist, delicious flavor! Then I was really skeptical about getting the jalapeno poppers figuring I was going to get ripped off with a pile of deep fried bread crumbs, again delicious! Oozing cheese around a jalapeno with the perfect bread crumb thickness and texture! Ambiance was nice.
Finally got to try Mad Chicken and after seeing reviews maybe I got my hopes up a little high. We ordered delivery of the chicken tenders and waffle fries. I will say they both arrived hot and not soggy which impressed me their packaging for delivery is defintely thought out which I appreciate. The chicken tenders were a really decent size for the four count. They were defintely still crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside which I do look for in a tender, but the breading was unexpected I can't put my finger on exactly what the breading is but it's not what you'd usually find (they reminded me of an Italian seasoned breadcrumb?). I'm not saying these are bad tenders but after seeing other reviews comparing to other chicken locations I was expecting a lot. The waffle fries were crispy and maybe a little well done for my liking (they were kinda dry tasting?). Overall they were good and the quality was there for the chicken just a bit different than what I would expect from a fast casual spot. I did order their house sauce and the garlic parm sauce; the house sauce was defintely not for me and the garlic parm sauce reminded me of salad dressing. Chicken 3 1/2 stars Fries 2 1/2 stars Hot food to my door 4 stars
New chicken spot near pompano beach. Great place to come after the beach. Came here on lunch with friends. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, wings, mac and cheese, onion rings, and fried oreos. Super clean restaurant and friendly service. They offer unique sauces and I recommend the mad fire. Their food is different than fast food as it is not greasy and tasted super fresh. The grilled chicken sandwich was really good. Loved their crispy waffle fries. Not a huge dessert fan, but their fried oreos are a must- an oreo and a mini funnel cake in one- delish! We will definitely be back!
Don't get me wrong. The food is pretty good, but definitely not worth the money. I only come here because of the convenience of the hours and location is walking distance. But definitely not worth it. Chick-fil-A is definitely better, half the price and similar food quality.
Hey Ya'll, hope all is well. Got a delivery from this fine establishment and I wasn't disappointed. The food was fresh and hot. The amount of chicken actually surprised me and the fact that the waffle fries were still crispy. I couldn't complain about a thing. I'm sure the service in store would complement the taste of the food, but that would have to wait for another day. I got a large chicken and fries meal. I had the Classic Combo. The chicken is nicely season and the sandwich didn't need any sauce. The waffle fries were perfect. No condiment needed. Close to the beach on Atlantic Blvd east of Federal Hwy. read more

First time trying this lil spot I ordered the hot chicken wings and fries..The wings were good but the fries were bad they were extra hard..I got a second order of fries and they came out super crunchy as well .The lady at the counter was nice..If I ever go there again I will not order the fries. read more
We stopped in for lunch while waiting to check in to our condo. The cashier was very friendly and patient as this was our first visit. The store was super tidy and had a few picnic tables outside to enjoy the perfect weather. It is a good place to get your fast food chicken fix. read more

Best chicken in pompano, finally got something better then Publix near me! This chicken is fresh and honestly the best I've had in a long time. Comparing this to raising canes or Chick-fil-A would be disrespectful, I'd say this place is in a league of there own! Thank you for the quality food read more

Real southern taste, great food. Service terrible, missing sides for a second night in a row! I'll avoid going around 9:00pm from here on out! Be careful ordering online they will leave out expensive sides! I'll definitely be back but for breakfast because the place looks nice. read more
