After eating here, at least, monthly over the past 4 years, we will never do business with Wingin It or the 'owner' Matt again. In recent months the service in the restaurant has gone down. Once we saw that Grubhub was delivering for them, we thought we had another option to get our wings. Boy were we wrong. After the Grubhub driver delivered the wrong order, I called Wingin It. Matt answered & I simply explained that his Grubhub driver gave me the wrong order, his response 'ya, I know, that's Roberts order, there's nothing I can do for you, you'll have to call Grubhub.' He literally told me he doesn't have a phone number to reach out to them if there is a problem! I'm giving you $50 & you expect me to call around town & find my food? After 5 minutes of trying to understand why the place my food was SUPPOSED to come from can't help me with a wrong order that was delivered from here, Matt, very begrudgingly told me he was getting off work & 'guesses' he can bring it to our home, less than a mile away. This was shortly before 5. In the meantime I called GrubHub & the only thing that they could offer me was a $15 credit. So now I have a $15 credit, no food, Roberts food and I'm still out $50. At about 5:40 I started calling the store again, asking if Matt was on his way with our order. I was told by the very put out & very rude young lady that he left the store at 10 after 5. We've received no communication from anybody as to where our food is, if they can't find our address or if the food isn't coming, if they delivered it somewhere. No communication whatsoever. At 6 o'clock I'm calling the store again, speaking to a young man at this point who is completely lost, doesn't tell me to hold on, doesn't say I'm sorry, doesn't say let me have you talk to our assistant manager, just hands the phone off to the, once again very put out, & very rude young lady, who tells me that she can do nothing other than talk to me the way she was trained. I told her to cancel our order & this was the most impossible experience I've ever dealt with. I asked her to refund my money, she said she couldn't do that, that was not part of her training. In the meantime tells me that Matt had called her & told her that he couldn't find our address, Mind you GrubHub found it, however with the wrong order. But yet nobody from the store nor Matt nor GrubHub ever called us to say they could not find our address, never communicated with us about this problem. We live in a gated community & they could've gone to the front gate & the front gate could've reached out to us to help or help them find our address. At this point I'm now on hold with GrubHub again, asking them to refund our money because I'm not sure who has my food or $, I have to GrubHub to reach out to Robert so that he knows his food isn't coming either. I have to argue with GrubHub about a refund. He's telling me my food has been delivered, when in fact it has not. As I'm arguing with the guy on GrubHub, we are now more than an hour and a half outside of my original order time, Matt finally shows up at 6:15. My original order was placed @ 4:30. Matt shows up at our door, doesn't apologize doesn't, offer to make things right, just hands us our food like here you go, we refused the order, gave him Roberts food, he had the audacity to grab our front door & argue with my boyfriend about how it's GrubHub's fault, not his fault & it's their responsibility not his responsibility & how, ' NO, HE DOES NOT,IN FACT, DO QUALITY CONTROL ON THE ORDERS THAT LEAVE HIS STORE WITH A THIRD PARTY DELIVERY SERVICE.' His voice was raised, he was very combative & argumentative with my boyfriend. At no point, in any of this, did the restaurant, the employees or the owner apologize to us or try & make it right. GrubHub eventually refunded us our money. We will absolutely positively never do business with Wingin It unless they come under new ownership. Last time I was there the service was so bad during a carry out that they had to give me a free appetizer. The time before that I had requested extra sauce. In the past when we request extra sauce they put it in the little dish that we can pour on extra for our wings, Matt literally yelled at me telling me I have to special request that, & I have to pay extra. I said at no time did I ever say I wouldn't pay extra. I am well aware that extra sauce means extra charge. I don't have an issue with that, it's how we've ordered our wings for years & years, why it has changed I don't know. I don't know if he's a new owner, he needs to give up his career of being a wing joint owner & move on. read more
