The bar itself is small with an even smaller stage, but where it lacks in size, it excels in everything else. There are clearly a good amount of local regulars that go there and for good reason. It feels like a place that will remember your name after one visit. The alcohol selection seemed decent (I can't say for sure as I am always happy with cheap beer) and although I didn't try the food there, my bandmates said that the hot dog was really good and the birria grilled cheese is to die for. I will make sure I go back and try them both! If you are looking for a good time at a local bar with good people, Papa's Public House is your place! Oh, and maybe catch me playing a show there on Friday!

It was more of a cinnamon sugar biscuit than a traditional cinnamon roll, but large enough for four of us to share. It was a little dry in some parts so definitely grab a spoonful of the glaze when you put it on your plate. The overall flavor was fine and I'm really glad I shared it with friends. I heard you could get one frozen to go and you just heated up at home just as good. For my sandwich, I ordered the Lola. It's a Buttermilk Biscuit Sandwich with Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Bacon, House Made Honey Butter + covered in Maple Syrup. Pro tip, have the maple syrup on the side or your hands will be very sticky when trying to eat it. The overall flavor of the biscuit, fried chicken, bacon, honey butter, and maple syrup was a really good combo! The biscuit was just a little more crumbly than I'm used to, so I struggled eating it as a whole sandwich. I would definitely get it again, but cut it up into bite-size pieces and eat it with my fork. There are a couple other really good options on the menu that I want to try so I'll definitely be back!

I was very impressed with the service, food, and ambiance of the restaurant. My server was very attentive, and friendly. I ordered a glass of Chicha Morada, which is made from purple corn - I usually describe it as holiday festivities in a cup. Haha. It comes with chunks of pineapple in it. For my entree I ordered the Arroz Chaufa with Pork along with a side of Salsa Criolla. The Arroz Chaufa was a good mix of salty and sweet and pairing the Salsa Criolla with it was just the right combination. Portions were pretty big and quality of the food was on point. I'll be dreaming about the Arroz Chaufa and Salsa Criolla for months. If you're looking for a great Peruvian restaurant in the Denver metro area, The Red Llama is a fantastic choice!
