winger's is a pretty average, run of the mill, american food chain. unfortunately for them, most of the utah county locations have bit the dust in recent years, i believe this is the only location left in the valley. i get dragged here by my husband every now and again, he loves the sticky fingers (which is their only savior and the only thing we ever order here) and loves the free mint mud pie they give out on birthdays, so i've been dragged here the last two years on his birthday (hoping we can break that streak this year). i used to enjoy coming here a lot more, the last few times we've been here over the past year were typically disappointing. we came last march, immediately after coming home my husband threw up everything he had just eaten, i barely touched my food which is why i probably didn't- he thought he had food poisoning since the chicken tasted weird. a month later was his birthday, we had invited a large group for dinner, and we called them numerous times to try to reserve their party room in the back, and were told numerous times that we couldn't- they don't do reservations and the party room is a first come, first serve basis. um lol, excuse me, but what? that's just bad decisions on upper management. of course when we arrived with our large party that day, we waited about an hour for a table big enough for everyone to get cleared, since other people were using the room in the back. the most recent time we came was back in november, we came on a friday night and waited around 30 minutes just for a table of two. the service was insanely slow, we waited another 30 minutes for food once we had actually gotten seated. the staff keeps getting younger and younger and doesn't seem very experienced. all in all, not very impressed with anything wingers has to offer. read more

I was in Utah for wrestling tournament during hockey playoffs. I called in morning to see if they would have the Golden knights game they said yes. We asked again before we got seated they said yes. When we sat down and ordered food they said no because it was not local channel. Yet they had a non local Channel playing soccer on all 10 TVs. read more

Got food from here for the second time to-go and both orders had something wrong with it. The first time we ordered food and when we got home and realized that they gave us the wrong amount of wings (less then what we had ordered) and they were still cold. 2nd time we ordered dessert hoping to be safe with that, but received the cookie with fudge and melted whipped cream (no ice cream) we came home straight from the restaurant so there is no way the ice cream would have time to melt by the time we got home. I understand if you run out of something but to not let us know is another story. Disappointed in these small mistakes but they seem to happen more often then not. read more

This is one of those places that revolves around having cute waitresses that aren't above flirting. Anyways, I initially went as I miss having good wings. Living in the South for a long time, I have high standards for them and I honestly can't say anything good about their original sauce... It is way too sweet. Where wingers does a great job though is breakfast... Color me surprised... It feels like a secret. Not many people there and the food is cheap and plentiful ( given you get there early when all the prices are the same). So here is the final skinny... 2 stars for lunch and dinner. 4 stars for breakfast. Update 2018. It looks like they got rid of their flat rate pricing before 11am. That really takes the appeal for breakfast down as the value isn't that great. The main reason to come here now is that it's a quieter breakfast. read more

I still love it. I still think their creamy amazing sauce is the best salad dressing around. I still love the asphalt pie and the wings and their newish hamburgers. However, I have to say that they now give you a measly 5 wings with their full wing dinner ($12) rather than 8, which makes me wonder if the price is "worth it." Also, I found the waffle and ice cream rather dry and uninteresting--it's just a waffle, a scoop of vanilla, and a little chocolate syrup. Still, I'll take their hamburgers and AYCE fries with an add-on AYCE salad drenched in creamy amazing sauce any day of the week. read more

Came here Friday night, hostess had to check on a table for us, then leads us to a table. After sitting down, noticed the table and seats were extremely dirty and crummy. No problem, I'll just ask the server to wipe it down. She walked past us numerous times, cleaned off other tables, and had the time to stop, lean on another booth, and chat with the patrons there. After 10 minutes of being ignored, we got up and walked out. It was not terribly busy in the restaurant, so not sure why I couldn't get any service. Will not be returning. read more

The food here really always is good. They have that down pretty well. Out of waitress Kourtney was really nice and kept up with our popcorn and drinks. In terms of service and food I didn't have any complaints. However this location is kind of run down. There was lots of trash on the floor and it's kind of an older building. The cleanliness of this place could really be stepped up. Overall the food was good and the service was good. Cleanliness of the place could be a little better so if that's one of your main priorities it might be best to just get takeout. read more

They really upped their game with the new menu and options. I was really impressed. We had a big group come in and I think the server was very overwhelmed. We were out of drinks for 30 minutes and they messed up our order and didn't bring us what we had ordered. One of my family members ended up not getting their food until we all had eaten. Pro of being with the big group, we all got to try something different. I got to taste the chicken and grits, definitely tasty. I got the sticky finger burrito. It was really good and hard not to eat the whole thing. Food is a plus but c'mon.. the service needs to improve. read more

Sadly it isn't what it used to be. We used to go to Winger's as a family. The wings were meaty, crispy, and delicious. Went tonight and got anemic tiny itty-bitty anorexic wings that also tasted weird. Never again. The bill was $50 for horrible wings and fries for my son and me and sticky fingers for my wife. Im a big fan of wings, love em! Decided to try this place with my wife since we had never been before. Terrible food. Wings were dry, tough and rubbery. Not a lot of flavor either. Looked liked all the cook did was fry the chicken to death and then waited for it to fry up and then...when it was almost time to send out he seasoned it, leaving the majority of the seasoning on the plate when you picked it up. The food was pretty good. I had a pulled pork sandwich and I really enjoyed it. My husband got wings (he's very picky) and he said he LOVED them. The desserts were fine, pretty standard and nothing special but enjoyable. The only complaint I have is the service. Almost every server was rude and incompetent. It was almost funny how many times the waiter would walk by the table with both of our empty glasses pushed way to the side so he could see them. This restaurant is one of a chain of Winger's restaurants. It is similar to the other locations with the diner atmosphere. This place gets busy at night but is pretty easy to get a table during the day. The wings are the best in Utah and their signature "Original Amazing Sauce" is fabulous. I really like the new breakfast options. If you come in before 11AM all of the breakfast items are $5.99. Trying to always get the most value for my dollar I obviously went with the most expensive and got the Chicken and waffles which is regularly 10.99, and added a side of amazing chicken fingers for just $2. Service was very attentive and friendly Although it was good for the price, I wouldn't recommend getting the chicken and waffles. The chicken was pretty plain, and a bit dry; But in honor of MLK day I had to pay my respects to southern culture. My wife got the trash hash and eggs, and everything was excellent. I don't get much beyond the strips, ever, so not sure how the rest of the menu is here. They do the strips well, but there was some really odd service issues during my visit that I'm not sure where to point the finger...it was either the kitchen or our waiter and that waiter had a gigantic question mark over his head as far as I was concerned the entire time, but that may not have strictly been his fault...definitely needs a lot more experience under his belt...and most of the issues were directly attributable to him. Other than that, fries were weak sauce, as usual, Coke Zero was a solid enough mix and the strips were cooked exceedingly well, juicy enough, in fact, that I kept checking them to make sure they were sufficiently cooked. They were and I was overall pleased, but not so much I would consider this a destination spot. This is definitely one of the better locations, though and if you've not ever experienced a Winger's, this is an excellent place to start. read more

Went here last night with some friends because one guy was really craving the chicken & waffles and a blonde beer. Our server was decent considering how busy it was in here. He kept the popcorn bowl fresh. We did not have to wait too long for our food to come out either. I got the sticky fingers sandwich and asked for the ranch on the side and extra lettuce so I could forego the bun and wrap it in lettuce instead. He remembered to put ranch on the side, but I had the same amount of lettuce as my friend who got a chicken sandwich. The food was decent, but not rave worthy. This is one of our go to favorite places to get takeout. My wife and daughter almost always get the sticky finger salad and 9 out of 10 times I order 16 of the regular wings with the Wingers sauce. Our server was new, but very friendly and helpful. My wife and I ordered the wing dinner with a side salad. The salad was great! Very crisp and cold and flavorful. The cherry tomatoes were really quite good. They were packed with flavor and had a great texture. Worth paying extra for the upgrade. We didn't get enough time to eat it, because the entrees came so fast, which is kind of a good thing and kind of a bad thing! The entree and sides were kind of disappointing. My fries were undercooked and cold but well seasoned, but my wings were just bad. I got the classic buffalo because I am a HUGE fan of buffalo wings, and I had to spit out my first bite. It was just insanely strong, and not in a good way. WAY too much vinegar! My wife's wings weren't bad (she got the house whatever), but they were pretty sweet for my taste. I was a little disapointed to get the check and see that it was nearly $30, with no drinks or dessert or anything. My first experience was quite positive, though I can't say how it might have been had I arrived during a "rush" such as lunch or dinner. I arrived at 3, and the dinning room was quite empty. It seemed only two waitresses were on, but my waitress, Teagan, had the majority of tables. For my first time, Teagan did a great job guiding me through the flavor of sauces and was well paced to my needs, even though she seemed busy with 3 or 4 other tables. The quesadilla appetizer fell apart in my hands, and it's "creamy" sauce seemed a bit too liquify, but it's flavor held up. The selection of 6 or so sauces there dont seem like something you couldn't by at your local grocer, but each has a tint of their signature sauce, which make them slightly unique, I guess. Overall I was surprised that the menu covered a wider range than just wings and burgers; they also have sandwiches, salads, and other entree diners. Sadly, they're limited to 2 ice cream desserts.
