Third course was two slices of tomato, 3 not fully cooked boiled potatoes and a tough pan fried steak. Next course was a flatbread pizza with runny cheese and canned mushrooms... Big whoop, it was fire oven roasted. Two bites and that was enough to know it wasn't going to be finished. Reservations at 7:30 and at 9 pm, still waiting for some unknown dessert. Add that they close at nine and we went through a shift change during the meal, it's likely we won't get the last course. Oh, wait... It finally made it. But... totally not worth the wait. We were seated by the fire on a cold day for lunch. The "composed salad" was delightful visually. Very beautiful representation of autumn. Hmm was just an alright to be not trying to be against the flow. I excepted better wine for our long drive there. They get busy on the weekends so the service was really slow. Ordered the carrot ginger soup extra hot - was not very happy to get this look from the server. And sure enough it was not hot enough - which I know most of the restaurant don't get the soup hot enough and that was exactly the reason for my request. Very disappointed. Came here with expectations that were NOT met. Despite Sunset's glowing review, I had issues with pretty much every aspect of restaurant/wine bar service -- communication, service wait time, food presentation, value. We had 10 people in our party and were seated in two groups -- one table of four and one of six. We were told that the 18% gratuity would still apply because our "group" was larger than 8... Raised eyebrows... since we were told that our orders/bills would be based on tables. Our "table of four" order ( one pizza for two of us, one burger and one salad) took 1-1/2 hours -- and the burger was cold and the pizza ("wood fired") was, at best, lukewarm. The server's rationale when asked when we might expect our food?? "Well, you're a party of 10!" Absolute BS - we were a table of FOUR. Our server tried (in the end) to make amends to some extent, but this place failed in pretty much every category. It'll take a lot to persuade me to ever return. read more

Wine o'Clock is a mixed review for me. Beautiful restaurant, great wine selection (of course). Menu is on the pretentious side; as in "let us show you how French and sophisticated we are". This restaurant is located in Vintners Village in Prosser (right off the freeway you can see Airfield winery). For years we've been looking for a decent place to eat in the Yakima/Columbia Valley. We stopped here last weekend on our way to Walla Walla and had one of the best pizza's I've ever had! It had thinly sliced pears, bacon, green onions and gorgonzola. Yummy!!! This restaurant is owned by and also serves as the tasting room for Bunnell Family Winery. My husband and I each had a different type of wine and were very pleased with them, too. I would give five stars but the pizza and wine were the only thing we had. But we'll definitely be going back on our next trip. We wanted to stop on our way home from WW, but unfortunately they don't open until 12pm and we were driving through at 11:30 so we had to miss them. read more

My husband and I visited Wine O'Clock on a Monday afternoon. While visiting a local winery in Richland, we were advised to visit the wineries in Prosser. We were definitely not dissapointed! Our first stop in Prosser was the Airfield Winery, where we asked about lunch options. We were directed to Wine O'Clock which is conveniently located behind Airfield. Wine O'Clock is beautiful, relaxing, yummy and had the best wine in the tri-cities area. No exaggeration, the best wine in the region. If you enjoy a big red, this is the place for you. Our server, Shannon was amazing! She took time with us to learn our pallet's and suggest wines. We ate chilled brocolli soup, antipasto plate (to die for bread and I don't eat carbs) and a hand tossed pizza grilled to perfection in their pizza oven. We enjoyed three flights of wine, left with a box of wine and gladly became wine club members. Do not miss out on this amazing winery/wine bar. This is a great place for lunch. The folks at Chukar Cherries told us it was best in the area which it clearly is. I had pizza. Interesting choices. Salads and sandwiches looked interesting but you can't try everything. The flights of wine were the best part for me. I enjoyed the variety available. The result was a wine purchase of a rhone red blend and some Gewürztraminer. Service was good. Definitely a place to stop. I gather from reviews it is good for dinner too! read more

This was my third visit and the food is the best. I've only gone back because there was no where else to eat. Every time the wait staff have had terrible attitudes and we're put off in serving us. On this visit we had a party of seven as usual they were put off to put a couple of tables together. We had to ask for water and menus. We were told they were out of menus but we did get water. We grabbed a menu from another waitress clearing a table. We made our choices off this menu and ordered. After ordering the waiter came back Ten Minutes later and told use it would be 45 minutes. It was so obvious that we were not wanted. I miss the food but one can only put up with so much bs. I called County Line wines and they said we will set you a table. Finally made it down to Wine O'Clock for dinner recently and had a great experience. My wife and I took our 3 year old and both the server and the kitchen staff went out of their way for us (e.g. they put some goldfish on the plate of cheese and meat appetizer tray we ordered, cup with a lid/straw, etc.) Pizza was good and we really liked the look and feel of the place, the open kitchen, the farmhouse feel, etc. Some folks have said that the restuarant is not kid friendly so I thought I should at least dispute that a little. The owners have young children and "get it". If your kids will behave and show a few manners then I think that you and the other patrons will be just fine. Really lovely restaurant - one of the few (two?) good choices for dinner in Prosser. The menu is very limited but they do a great job, and the atmosphere is very pleasant, clean and modern. We had a charred romaine salad - interesting, but would have been just as good without the novelty of papery charred edges. The pizzas looked great, but I couldn't pass up the smoked beef tenderloin, which was very tasty. We really enjoyed the flight of 3 red wines we had with it. After a long morning of wine tasting it was wonderful to come to Wine O'Clock. Walking into the warm and inviting restaurant and being greeted and served by knowledgeable and helpful staff made this stop on our wine tour a complete gem, but it is the amazing food that will keep us coming back. Pizza and anti pasta that were representative of all of the wonderful herbs and tastes of the area, lavender and fennel grown just outside the restaurant. Love this place--we meet family here as we travel to Richland periodically. The menu makes use of the fabulous local produce and the wines are beautifully presented, with something for every taste. Possibly the best restaurant in Eastern Washington and the Tri-Cities area. I've lost count of the number of times I've had lunch or diner at Wine O'Clock - I always walk impressed and the friends or business associates i take there always ask to go back. The food is creative and seasonal with a small but always interesting menu - everything they do they do well. It's part of the Bunnel Winery and their wines are served - always worth trying one of the flight of 3 or 4 wines. Specialty food well done is unique and worth drawing attention to. The parking lot would benefit from more lighting to safely illuminate the way to the food. Menu changes weekly so don't rely on what's on the website to determine if you are going to stop in. However, the food was excellent. Surprising that there were few open tables for drop in diners on a Thursday evening. Obviously the good word is out. I really liked the ambiance of this restaurant. It is very tastefully done and unique inside. I loved all the glass fixtures and the chairs were extremely comfortable. It however is a good thing the seating was so comfortable, because our service was not so great. Our waitress kept chatting with one couple while one of us waited 20 min for tea. When we tried to flag down a waiter he was not all that friendly or helpful either. I hated that we had to say anything about not getting service. I will be back again because i don't want to just go off of one experience. I thought the Pizza was good, its not quite as authentic as Fire by Visconti's in Wenatchee. It was still really good a little more salty than needed, i think because they are not using as authentic ingredients they are relying on salt to bring the wow factor, for instance Fire uses Italian meats that they make themselves, the bacon on the pear pizza at Wine O' Clock is American. Still very tasty though. They have a goat cheese fondue that looks amazing! I can't wait to try the fondue and other things too. I really do wish this business the best. read more

Had a wonderful experience with my girlfriends on Saturday. Our waitress Veronica was amazing!! She made us laugh, gave us great wine selections and helped us pick an amazing meal!! The only issue I had was the tall creepy guy in black who was leaning against the counter the entire time we were there watching people eat. We weren't sure if he worked there or not. We drove ~175 miles from Seattle for what turned out to be a disappointing experience. Our rating is at odds with those reviews which give this restaurant largely sterling reviews. Food presentation was very nice but shrimp had an unusually fishy taste, which left us wondering it it was aged or left over from the weekend. The wine experience was a turnoff. I rolled the dice on a modestly priced wine after being told that I could not sample it first. It was bitter and biting and obviously in need of decanting -- pretty much undrinkable. Notwithstanding that the glass remained full throughout our meal, the waiter never stopped to ask if there was a problem with it. It would have been nice to have been offered a replacement wine or have had it removed from the bill. I noted to the waiter that it would be a good idea to aerate the wine in the future. He said that idea in fact was a good one and would recommend it to management. It seemed very odd that a restaurant in the middle of wine country would not have figured this out. read more

My husband and I were ending our anniversary tasting trip with a meal and a flight at wine o clock and it was definitely worth the stop! Food was great, good wine flight, and when we weren't crazy about the first dessert dish, we were brought our other choice because they really wanted us to end on a good note.
