Bad experience. Waited over 20 minutes each time for a drink after spending money on both tables and slot machines. After waiting 20 minutes while playing a slot for my free drink no drink came. The amount of smoke permeating the casino is horrific; if you have breathing problems - STAY AWAY! There are people sitting at slot machines eating, never getting up. This casino was a great way to get out, kill some time, and do something fun for the night. My boyfriend and I went here for a few hours and we had a ton of fun. The place was very crowded, which I didn't expect, but there are thousands of slot machines and game tables, so that wasn't an issue. The crowd was mostly old couples. I didn't see any people my age. The only issue I had was getting a drink while playing slots. The servers are hard to find and when I finally found one, the drink was terrible. It was all juice and no alcohol. So I went to the bar, which I think you should never have to do at a casino! The bartender was very nice and chatted with us for a while since we were the only ones sitting there. The drinks at the bar were amazing! They did a great job there. He told me not to get drinks on the floor and showed me a cup they use on the floor and the tiny amount the fill it to. He made me a drink to bring on the floor instead. His drinks were much stronger and I got a buzz off one vodka cranberry. I tasted great and he really did an amazing job. So it is worth it to just head to the bar. One drink there is very strong and well-made instead of the dozens of free drinks you would need on the floor of just pure juice. There is smoking here and lots of it with the older crowd. There are many non smoking sections you can go to though if that bothers you. All in all it was a great night! I will come back! I won around $100 playing penny slots and my boyfriend broke even on the slots. He also won blackjack, so we left with more than we came with, which is always great! read more

I have been going to this casino off and on since 2009, and I won't go back after today. It has gotten worse. You don't get any play here. I lost $1,000 in 2 hours. The bonuses don't pay. The bonuses also seem to only land on free games instead of super free games and the other wins on the bonus wheel. If you are betting more, then you should win more in the bonus, but Wind Creek doesn't pay out more. I have never won a jackpot here where I was hand paid by an attendant since I began going here in 2009. I only won a few times where my combined winnings equaled a small jackpot. Do not let the first picture fool you! At first glance, I thought this was going to be a small town casino, where locals perform at a karaoke night giving themselves that 5 minutes of fame! She must have been new. Valet parking is a must - especially at only $7. The room had a few interesting technical features. I wish I knew about all the connections to the TV. There was a whole panel. The first room they gave us had a dirty toilet. Big yikes during COVID season... for a "four star" hotel this place doesn't give you jack sh** not even a voucher for the casino! Wth? Decided to try Wind Creek again after staying away for 2 years due to the presence of many bus trips from NY and the patrons sitting around eating, spitting and not playing. Thank you Wind Creek for finally realizing it was a deterrent for the playing customers. That said, it was a very enjoyable trip, place was clean (yayyyy) service and staff were pleasant and prompt. We go to the casinos for entertainment and have fun, if we win it's a bonus. We stayed at the hotel for one night and discovered in the morning blood on the sheets and bedbugs in the bed housekeeping supervisor came up with a bedbug and eggs and took it and put it in a plastic bag we notified the hotel security and they took our statements and later said they would let us know. they wouldn't charge our room until they found out what happened later on we found out that they charge the room and said it was there it was only one bedbug and we should not be reimbursed I would never go back there again thanks... Let me say- I don't gamble! Totally not my thing, casinos are in business to take your money- they're not in business to pay out money. Interestingly my daughter made a comment about how depressing the casino floor is. While the lights and sounds are active, lots of people milling around and drinks being served it gave me a feeling of sadness. People gambling away their hard earned money, hoping to hit that "jack pot" ugh. It was very crowded on the casino floor. We were in the smoking section - blechhh! My sister in law explained there is also a non smoking section. The Sands was just ok to me. I went to see Michael Carbonaro do a magic show. Do you know him? He has his own TV Show on TruTV called The Carbonaro Effect. The show was enjoyable and the venue was ehhh. The parking was ample and one thing I liked was that the elevators were right near where we parked. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the elevator on our way out. There was a shopping area with outlet stores. Coach, Famous Footwear, charming Charlie's, a nice Christmas Country gift store, some casual dining places, and others. There was Carlo's bakery. There were many desserts I was super tempted by, but the thought of carrying around a cupcake through a two hour show and then transporting it home made it less appealing and I soon walked away. Good thing too. The seats we had for the show were tightly packed and not very good for a magic show. They had a huge screen but not quite the same if we could've been up closer to the stage. Getting out of the venue was a breeze. I thought it would take forever and ever Amen. That was a plus. We ran into only one very rude security guard entering into the venue. He was rude and rushing us along, yet while we were in line- forever- there was no sense of urgency. All other security personnel were very polite, I'm happy to report. read more

This place is super "meh". I come here because it's closer for me than traveling to AC. The rewards system in AC is much better and they always comp me a room and give me free play. The only good thing about Sands is that they give me more in free play than AC does, but never have they once comped a room. The drinks are watered down and they don't come often at all, so a lot of the times I just end up going to the bar and paying for s drink there. This place has a lot of older people. Even the bar/dance floor area is full of seniors. The often have a live band playing and tonight they actually filed a "The Price is Right" episode. There's free parking and they have a small "outlet" mall attached. You can use your comps to pay in food court and at the stores in the mall, which is rather convenient. They don't have a big selection when it comes to stores and it seems they cater to the older crowd with stores like "Talbots". I had dinner at the Emeril's chop house several times and it is very overpriced and the food is nothing great. I've also tried a few spots in the food court and the food tastes like it was frozen and reheated in a microwave (which is honestly what probably happened, lol). Overall, convenient because of the location and free parking, but if you can sacrifice taking the extra time to go to AC i highly recommend doing so. read more

It was no problem for Windcreek, the power supply was sent to Casino Security where I picked it up a week later. The security staff, and the entire staff at Windcreek get 5 stars from be. Bob Holmes in Casino Security, brother of the world famous former heavy weight champion of the world - Larry Holmes always knocks it out of the park, Bob always answers all my questions in regards to the Casino or even property questions. I'd say at least 20% of the slot machines were out of order. Went to a 7pm show and went to go grab a bite to eat. The only thing open in this entire facility after 10pm is no burger and the line was crazy since it was the only thing open. We stayed here overnight and the room was fine, but room service is not offered and basically you can't eat past 10pm, so I give this a 1 star mainly due to that. This is my second time here at Sands and this time I came to play at the casino the last time I came my family and I came for a comedy show and eat at the buffet which was fantastic. This casino is really big and you definitely can get lost here. I signed up with my dad and I was able to get money on my card just for signing up which was awesome. Next time I come I will also bring a friend so we can get credit on our cards. Some slot machines are old and some are new I like how they mix it up. I stay at Wind Creek quite often. Not a great selection of food but I can get a complimentary room weekly. On this trip I needed 2 nights which was also complimentary. This is the first time I request 2 consecutive days expecting a rejection, first time I was happy to be wrong. My stay was in the cute, newly opened area of the hotel. They also have a new spa if you choose to pamper yourself. Upon arrival of my last 3 stays, I was given a free drink card worth $15 at their new bar called "Mixx". Mixx female bartender makes a really good Espresso Martini. Wind Creek Hotel is always clean and staff are always friendly including the women walking the casino floor delivering free drinks all day and night. You Just have to spend $5 at any machine before placing your order via the casino slot machine which you can also tip through. Casino Free Play money, dining/food credit and complimentary hotel stay is added weekly onto your casino card with your name. There are announcements notification calling out name and state of casino winners every 15 min. If your name is called the winning money will be automatically added strait to your casino card. There are several clothing stores you can shop or take kids to the lower level Arcade. Also on the lower level is where you would pick up your free MSC Cruise invitation. Wind Creek will notify you via email if your qualify and when its time to pick them up. read more

It's a cool idea and it's neat to look at the old steel plant. It's also something to do when in the area. That being said the cons outweigh the pros even more than usual for a casino. Let's see.... Pros -parking seemed available on a Friday early afternoon (we didn't go in, just were walking around the stacks and looked down). -there are lots of slots of some sort. -a fair number of dining options for a smaller casino (buffet, a food court, 2 emeril's "fancy" places, Carnegie deli, and some Italian place). Many do close after certain times, with bad service, but that's another story. -the "molten steel" lights hanging from the ceiling look cool Cons: -high table minimums: $25 minimums, that's just stupid especially for this area. Have at least a table or two with lower $10-15 minimums -smokey as hell regardless of where you are; the "non-smoking" area makes no difference -as usual in many casinos, expect creepy, trashy clientele. One guy sat next to me and reeked of body odor, another sat by my boo and just watched her play electronic roulette while not playing himself. Saw another guy arguing with security at the crap table. -we were never offered drinks once while playing -bathrooms are pretty filthy and have no paper towels -parking on a Friday night is absolutely atrocious. Do they have a parking garage? Of course not! Just genius in a place with a 4 season climate! We used valet ($7) and they were nowhere to be found at 2-3 am. -you will be asked for ID EVERY time you exit or enter the gaming area. Unless you happen to "know" security, as we saw others just walk right in who did clearly were not employees. -the shopping area is basically a tiny mall with nothing special (typical stores and prices) -hotel room rates are insane. We didn't see the rooms, but the lobby is absolutely tiny. Would I come back? Not based on this experience. I have a feeling nothing will change and the Sands simply doesn't care to improve. If you want us to lose money gambling, at least make it a nice experience. read more

Went to Burgers and More after our show (stayed at the hotel). Food was good but the server couldn't be bothered with paying attention to us. At 9pm, he was already monitoring his watch for closing time. Then we went to Coil, the bar in the "nonsmoking" section of the casino. Not only were you allowed to smoke at the bar, it did say no cigar smoking, but there were people clearly smoking cigars that nobody policed. It was so disgusting. There were cigarette ashes all over the bar when you went to sit down and have a drink. And it was the non-smoking section. Seems very counterproductive. Also, the bartenders were negligent. They did not pay attention to the needs of the patrons and we literally had to flag down the bartenders every time we wanted to order a drink. I would not recommend this casino/resort/bar to anybody. read more

It's been a few years since I was here on a bus trip. This time we drove, parking in the adjacent parking garage which smelled like straight up piss. Since it was an impromptu trip to kill time while traveling somewhere else to wait out the rain we didn't have our players cards. Thinking I could get a replacement at customer service I was surprised to learn that what I thought was a players card when I obtained during the bus trip is actually a temporary card, so I had to go thru the whole process....again. They treat these cards like gold. There's quite a process they go thru to make sure you don't have another one issued. It wasn't horribly time consuming but more of a nuisance that took about 25 minutes from start to finish. Alarmed with our new cards (and $5 sign on bonus - holla!) we were on our way to hopefully hit it big. I will say the gals at customer service were awesome and funny. I'm not a big spender by any means and can play forever at a penny slot on a .05 cent bid. ((insert laughter here but that strategy actually works and I've won a few hundred dollars that way)). I found a machine that I thought was a penny machine, only to discover after I loaded my bonus that each spin was a min of .50 cents (my bad as it was posted). Wanting to cash out and go to another machine it wouldn't allow it. I put my light on and waited. And waited. A high roller came to sit beside me and with her "special" status on her card summoned service on my behalf. "They have to come right away because of my status" she said. Instead we waited and waited. All the while the waitresses made repeated trips back down the isles to take drink orders but the service guy remained elusive. I flagged down two guys in suits that worked there who also called service to no avail. I must have sat there for a good 30-40 minutes till finally someone arrived to tell me I had to play it at .50 cents a pop. Bummer! Moral of story: whatever your bonus play is, whether it's the new sign on bonus or one you earned - DON'T LOAD IT ALL ON ONE MACHINE, or you'll have to play it all on that machine without cashout. That information comes straight from the serviceman. Fortunately I did win that $5 back and moved on to less expensive machines. I noticed a good bit of trash (empty cups and water bottles) wedged between the machines. It wasn't an isolated issue. The waitresses came around too much, to the point it was an annoyance. I don't see why they couldn't pick up the trash along the way.... When it was time to cash out the machines were few and far between. Two we came upon were non-operational. Since my last visit when all the penny machines were in one area they have since been moved and are scattered about, and not always next to each other so hubby and I were often separated. Food court still offers a good bit of variety and was crowded. You'll need to double up with other patrons at their table if you want to sit. I also learned you could use your bonus in the food court. Weakest areas being cleanliness (hose down that lot why don't you???) and have someone who's dedicated job is to pick up trash at the slots. Also they need to add some service technicians. No one should have to wait that long for service, especially early in the day when it's not crowded (it was mid morning). Not a horrible day and hubby came out a winner while all I did was make a donation, but the place has definitely gone down hill a bit since our last trip. read more

My 2nd time visiting this casino. I found out it's under new ownership. Great service great atmosphere. I really enjoyed playing in the high limit room. There are alot of different slots. My favorite is the china shores / African diamond. The slots were hot on a thursday late afternoon early evening turning my night with a walk out of over $48,000.00 in different jackpots. This started out as a 5. Bethlehem who knew?? This once dirty, deserted ghost town has transformed itself. The shell of Bethlehem Steel is still here. And I have a thing for abandoned buildings. The Hoover Mason elevated walkway caught my eye, it's like a mini Highline. So many cute shops and restaurants. I wanted to love it, and I did at first. But not a great venue for a concert if you are short. No matter where I stood I couldn't see. Every time I found spot I got kicked out. But the music was great! Sweet! For a casino in the middle of nowhere PA, it definitely gets the job done. I'd never compare any other hotel to anything in Vegas, that's a completely different bet. They have plenty of tables for blackjack, roulette, craps, and much more. Smoking and a non smoking section for both as well. Good selection of an array of different places to eat. From the foodcourt, to Carnegie deli, to high end restaurants. I've never stayed in a room there but I'm sure it's pretty decent. Most of the dealers are friendly. Some other reviews I read seem to think this place is terrible. This casino/hotel can not compare to casinos/hotels in AC NJ. The food court has very little to offer. The choice of restaurants is essentially limited to 2or 3. The casino is small and looking worn out. They don't have a European (single zero) roulette table in the high limit room! Drinks at the slot machines is limited to one every 30 minutes. I always seem to enjoy myself at the Sands Casino, Win or Loose! They have a great variety of Machines and tables, the only downfall is that the ventilation system could be better when it comes to the smoking side of the Casino. I'm a non smoker and I always have a problem breathing when I am in or near that section, it also seems like some of the better slots are in the Smoking area. As for East Coast Casinos I still prefer Atlantic City because of the variety of other Casinos, that's what's lacking in Bethlehem, PA; there are no other Casinos nearby to offer that competitiveness that I do long for and love. Then why do I go to the Sands over AC you ask? Because it's conveniently located an hour off of RT 78 and so much closer to me than Atlantic City. To be truthful this is only my go to place when I'm not up to that long AC haul or they're offering some descent promotion, either way it's something to do and the outlet mall is attached to the Casino and there are a great selection of Restaurants in both the mall and casino as well. This is a very small casino. The smoking and non smoking sections were too close, you had to wait on a line for the bathroom. When you get into the casino you really have to hunt for a seat to play a machine, many people just sit at the machines and watch players. If you're hungry the seats in the food court are very crowded and you don't even want to eat because you're not guaranteed to find a seat. This is a perfect place for a smoking person. read more

My wife and I both lost about 200 dollars each. We went to the Urban Table (used to be Emeril's Burger Place). One of the best employees- Amy wasn't working that day. The other person never waited on us and after 15 minutes we left to go to the buffet. Wrong move! The buffet wasn't that great to begin with but NOW, IT'S HORRIBLE! All the food tasted the same. Bland! (coleslaw, potatoes, pasta, chicken tortellini (all blah). The pastas were over-cooked. You can taste the cheap ingredients. Less selection (spreading items wider to fill the table), another ex-food table was now filled with a party hat decorations! We will NEVER go there again because the price was ridiculous for the lack of quality. Less for more money- a seemingly WC bylaw. I hate writing negative reviews. We loved the old Irish restaurant, Emeril's Chop House, and even the Deli. Now Wind Creek seems enjoy sacking the good eateries and putting their own spin of the ex-Emeril ones with cheaper ingredients. For shame! Even the Croissant place was terrible, dry as a bone- uneatable, but they took my money!!!! We are going to try Mt. Airy (even if it's further away), to see if it's better and if not, we'll continue to go less and less until we stop, which isn't a bad idea. read more
