My ex boyfriend and I came to this casino in 2012 when it was still fairly new. This casino was built in 2009 so everything was brand new from the furnishings and the atmosphere. Usually casinos are very hard to breathe in since everywhere you go there is smoke. Talk about 2nd hand smoke everywhere! Ugh! Luckily this place did not have that and there was the 2nd part of the casino that was for non smokers! It was like heaven because there was no smoking but then it was kind of boring because all we did was play slot machines and the nonsmoking section was super empty. Imagine someone decided to remake the movie "Office Space" but this time the setting is a hotel and casino...you'd have this place. The lobby looks like a blank space with a hotel desk, no furniture and nothing on the walls...but wallpaper. THAT'S IT...NOTHING ELSE! Check in included a declaration from the clerk that there was no room service, no fitness center, no house keeping, and no vending machines on the premises. And I imagine, if you asked, there would be no stapler either (hopefully you saw Office Space before reading this review! To access elevators to the hotel rooms, you had to go into the outlet mall; walk about 100 yards, take a left, then take a right, and then the elevators were on the left... In an untraveled corner of the shopping mall. It's obvious that the company that purchased this hotel from Sands, is either trying to fix the place up, or is in way over their head, and can't manage their way out! Don't stay here. There are plenty of hotels in the Bethlehem area with comparable pricing and much better accommodations. read more

Spent the night here celebrating my wife's birthday while also attending a Journey tribute band concert, so my review is from that perspective. Finding parking by the main entrance can be a bit challenging as most of the spots are reserved for valet. They only had two people at the front desk when we arrived, so check-in was a little slow, but not real bad. Once you have checked in, it's a little bit of a walk through the outlets to get to the elevators. There is still construction going on, so hopefully this flows better when they are done with renovations. The hotel portion though was clean and modern and we liked our room, which was bright and spacious. The bed was very comfortable with the mattress on the softer side, which we prefer. You will find the standard amenities including a safe and mini fridge. The shops in the outlets left a lot to be desired and overall, it felt kind of dead and still a number of empty shops. We chose to dine offsite, so can't comment on that. We are not casino folks, but we did walk through it. It was rather smoky, despite half of it being non-smoking. We took a quick lap through and left and never returned. The concert area is ok. It was rather cold in there and the plastic chairs become a bit uncomfortable after awhile. Hopefully the renovations include some improvements in there. You do have to go through security to go the event venue, but once through, you get a wrist band. After that, we were able to leave and come back without having to go through security, which seemed like a major hole in my opinion. We both had an enjoyable weekend getaway and would do it again in the future. read more

This was my first visit to Windcreek. My friend and I went up for a show on Thursday night. I was very impressed with the establishment and how nice everyone was starting with Marci! The property is very nice. Karen Winns at the Rewards Center was very nice and answered all of our questions. Hotel check in was a breeze, we were helped by a delightful woman named Audrey!Room was great! We ate at Urban Table, Josh was our waiter, food was great. With smoke in my eyes and a chip in my hand, Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem unfolded before me like a cubic zirconia paradise. Brightly lit with the cacophonous sounds of a gaming hall but suffocating under the twin nostril assault of embedded nicotine and a depressing sad sack patronage that made the spontaneous visit already my worst decision of the new year. Vegas has nothing to worry about as this low rent carnival (and replacement for the Sands) had me desperate for the exits in 30 minutes or less. Everyone and everything appeared to move in slow motion clinging to muscle memory with no genuine excitement to be found anywhere. We visited the town for a comedian appearing at the Wind Creek Event Center and decided to stay at the hotel. While a very nice hotel, it was a higher price than it should be for comparable hotels in the area. We are not gamblers, so the convenience of the Casino was not a bonus for us, nor was the half-empty Outlet Mall. And with the pool being unexpectedly closed without explanation, we spent far more time out of the hotel complex than in it. read more

They've had free charging for evs there forever. I go today and charge while playing. Upon leaving I'm hit with an expensive charge for using the ev charging. So they changed it without telling anyone and are charging people without warning now. No signs or anything stating that it changed just a nice hefty charge when leaving. What a scam!!! read more

I came to Wind Creek for a concert & while I was waiting for the show to start I decided to walk around the casino. It was bizarre to see how it was divided. Apparently there was a smoking/non-smoking area yet you really couldn't tell where it started/ended. Super annoying for us non-smokers though. There aren't many dining options so the lines were long. The only thing that was cool is being able to get water from the bar w/out buying it. Other than that, not really mush but people playing the hundreds of slot machines, & various card & roulette tables. read more

If you want to eat in one of the casino restaurant when there is an event going on I.e. concert,. You better make prior reservation or else there will be an hour wait. Used to get comp rooms all the time but this time they refused to give us a comp even with 2 cards combined. So we ended up paying the $300+ rate a night. When we got to the room the sheets had this yellowish pee looking stains all over it, and in the corner of the sink was a dirty used toothpaste cap and toiletries empty bag. Went and spoke to the manager and they did take 25% off the room but I expect better for paying that much a night. Hubby insisted that I needed to check out this casino. He described it as huge and super popular in the Bethlehem area. Having done so together, I must say that this casino supports my theory, that in general, a casino is just another casino. Once you're inside, the gaming areas are pretty much all the same. A few brief points: The casino is definitely large and quite busy, about 60 percent full in capacity. Fun Fact: This was formerly the Bethlehem Steel Mill, so look up at the ceiling, and you'll see steel beams. The lights were supposedly designed to represent the dripping, hot melting steel. The bar area began to get smoky as time went on while we were chatting with friends. I would not recommend the super small buffet with sub par food. read more

Also, many of the game keys are broken. Of course, in addition to the fat man who stops behind you while playing and he is one of the casino management. I do not know why. If you are thinking of coming to this casino, I hope you do not come because you will leave within half an hour donating your money to the Asians who enjoy special treatment in this casino. They are the ones who win the cars and win the jackpot. If you sit next to one of them, you will find that he gets the bonus every minute. So it is better not to come to this casino and pay your money to the Asians. There are also many machines out of service, so sometimes you may not find a machine to play on. Also, there is a silly old woman who has locked my account and I am no longer able to access my account. Stayed here 3 years ago in a Chairman's Suite, which was really very nice and spacious. The Totos in the powder room and bedroom bath are suite were great, walk in closet, shower, and media room amazing. Won a few bucks on slots, too. Returned a few weeks ago in a comped room. Two Queens in the newer section had a beautiful view of the old steel mill structure. Valet parking is only $7, and they gave me $100 in free play. If you play their app games you can win more points to convert for more free play and food credits even though WC gives me at least $25 for every time I go. Everyone who works here is super nice and friendly. The food is pretty good too but so expensive it's crazy, drinks are good and free if you're playing. I like to tip the cocktail waitresses $20 because they work hard and seem under appreciated so it's all good anyway. Have gone there for 2 nights in the last month and a couple times for a couple hours and usually win pretty well on the slots. Easy to get in and out, decent comps, great place read more

I've never been here when it was the Sands so I have nothing to compare Wind Creek to other than other casinos I've been to. The worst part of my trip to Wind Creek was checking into the hotel. We parked and had to walk through the entire casino, down a long hallway and up an elevator to get to the lobby. Maybe we parked in the wrong level of the garage? But it wasn't very clear when we pulled into the garage. Once at the front-desk, we waited on a line that wasn't very long, but felt very long because of how slow the associates were at checking in the parties in front of us. A nice touch is that they let you pick what scent you want for your products. I liked this better than the dispensers I've been seeing in hotels lately.The hotel room itself was nice - very clean and sophisticated feel. Definitely could tell it was renovated recently - nothing about it seemed old. The casino is huge - to the point where I had a hard time finding the slots I wanted. I'm no gambler, so I can't really speak about what they had vs didn't have. I didn't win anything, but I promise that didn't impact my overall rating on this review =) Casino was clean, of course it had that "casino" smell that I think everyone is familiar with. If you're under 30, they make you scan your license every time you enter which can be kind of annoying if you're in and out. Pretty nice casino and interesting design. My wife and I came to Sands for the first time together and left with a positive experience overall. The casino is not the biggest by any stretch, but it definitely had a different feel to it. The design of the casino probably had a lot to do with it. The casino was modern-looking, relatively clean and had a steel construction design. You'll know what I mean once you step foot into it. For anyone interested in slots, there were plenty of them all around. The outer sections of casino were occupied by slots, while the inner circle of the casino was occupied by table games. Although the entire casino is not smoke-free, there were designated smoking sections, but it felt like most of the casino was smoking so beware of that aspect. All of the restaurants in the casino were on the outer edges of the casino floor, so they were all easily accessible. There was also a small outlet mall and food court connected to the casino as well. The outlet had a few stores, but nothing really great. As for parking, the great thing was that it was free, which makes it easy to leave the premises and come back as you please! Overall, we liked Sands and thought it was a decent casino. There was plenty of action all around. There was only one thing that really bothered us a bit and that was the over zealous security at each casino floor entrance asking for ID every time to those that did not look over 30. read more

I don't know when Sands became Wind Creek, but this casino is pretty average. Can't say that there is anything exceptional about it, but it's decent. There is a poker room, plenty of slot machines, roulette, table games, virtual games (poker, roulette, etc.), a money wheel (my favorite!), and others. There are bars, waiters and waitresses walking around to take drink orders, and restaurants. The restaurant area changed a bit (possibly with the new management) but there are still most of same restaurants (Steelworks Buffet & Grill, Emeril's restaurants, Carlo's Bakery, Chopsticks, and others) and there doesn't seem to be much seating for diners as it was before when there was a "cafeteria" type area. For those not into gambling but are here because of friends or family, there are also some outlets that are conveniently connected to the casino. There aren't many stores, but it's something. There is also free parking, which is a bonus. But I'm reading that you may have to pay for overnight parking if you are a guest at the hotel? I've come a few times but I don't gamble enough to get a lot of rewards. But if you do gamble a lot, take advantage by joining! And their location is much more convenient than other casinos, so I prefer driving here versus AC. Also, I typically dine at Waffle House before or after coming here. From the long lines at the cashier to the low pay tables on the video poker machines to the busloads of people sleeping at the machines and picking through the trash to the food court with bad food and the outlets with no stores. And if that's not enough they nickel and dime you on your way out for your change. Somebody said to me " it's like gambling in an unfinished basement". We went today to see DWTS 2020. It was an excellent show. But I was not too happy with this concert hall. Since the stage was not high, so if you have back row orchestra seats, half for the stage is somewhat hard to see. Also, people in the back are talking out loud, audience, and employees. Like they did not care about other people. Employees always have flashlights on, so it distracted while the show was going on. Unlikely I will go back to this concert hall. And from the last trip to here walking around in the Casino area, I was getting depressed (I never gamble, I went to check this place since I was in town). I think this place terrible. As far as the slots, I found a pretty good machine when I walked into the casino, made a few dollars off that one, then when I was trying to find the same one again, I couldn't find where it was. I ended up stuck on a cold slot machine at the end of the day, what a bummer! They say that you're more likely to win later in the day on the slots, but this wasn't true during my visit, had more luck and available slot machines in the morning. I really wish they had a walk-in good but inexpensive hair and nail salon in the mall area. The thing that I noticed with the food court here, the beverage wall as you walked in had no prices, the pizza place on the left had missing prices on the menu, very annoying to keep asking for prices. There's a place called Bananas that have non-fat frozen yogurt and delicious looking smoothies but they're too expensive! Over $7 for a smoothie with frozen yogurt and fruit or a fruit & ice smoothie for over $8, come on now! Love my deal that I got at the Tommy Hilfiger Outlet, love the quality of their clothes, and so does everyone else, that's why they never have the sizes you're looking for on sale. The female associate who rang me up gave me an extra discount for signing up for rewards membership. Good deals at Coach, friendly salespeople there, too. But didn't buy anything there this time. I enjoyed the casino visit. I love casinos and gambling and interacting with other people from all over the world. I love the fact that there are outlets connected the the resort. We decided to come last minute so the hotel was booked but I found a place within 5 minutes walking distance from the casino. We had dinner at the Emeril Chop house and it was insane. The food was definitely famous chef worthy. The ambiance and wait staff was attentive and checked in on our table quite often. The casino isn't as big as some but it gets the job done. I didn't have a chance to play the slots but I was able to keep up on the tables for hours and the manager and dealer were great company to have. The kept the momentum of the game going and kept us all laughing. I'll definitely be back as this is close to my house and a short peaceful ride. I'll just book a room in advance. read more

We came here to see Bill Burr and he was fantastic. That man is a national treasure. That said--- This is the WORST resort/casino/hotel I have ever had the misery to set foot in in my entire life. You get to park like 6 miles away (not really, but it's back in the middle of a decrepit, possibly haunted steel yard), the rooms are small, there are no vending machines and EVEN KNOWING there are no vending machines, the place offers exactly zero dining options after the show (oh my mistake, a place called "Chopstix" offered a takeaway only menu that looked like it featured several flavors of leftovers.) I'm seriously so pissed off that I paid to stay in the dump. Wouldn't come back if they paid me. read more

I asked the casino manager and they told me they will check it for me. Then about 2 hours later told me it is what it is. I know what I seen. Overall, I was pretty disappointed in the hotel. We knew there would be things that have changed due to covid... but I dont think we knew just how much had changed. The new entrance is GREAT- much bigger, and more convenient to get to. As for the amenities... there are none. Many slot machines were out of order, and most of the joker poker ones in particular - so the ones that were working were all full. I didn't know some of the restaurants were closed due to them building a poker room and a sports book place, so I went to the Emeril burger place (which is where the Emeril fish place used to be) but was a 3.5 hour wait list - due to lack of staff. Wound up eating in the food court, where the line was all the way to the casino and even there 2 of the 6 places were closed. The outlet mall now closes at 8, and the store we were shopping in asked as to leave as it was 8:02 - the sign said they closed at 10!!! No room service, no pool, no amenities (and you have to be in the room if you need them to bring you anything ie - no feather pillows) as the staff is not allowed in the room. I know they are building a new hotel and a water park, but they need to fix what they have so they will have people to come to the new attractions. There is so much no... that Id rather head to AC or the Poconos for some yes! read more

All I can say about this place was that everything was better about it when it was Sands. After it became wind creek, odds of winning decreased. No Carnegie Deli any longer and that was the best restaurant to at at in the entire joint. I wish I could say something good about it since it's changed but I can't. Too bad. Took a nice casino where people actually had winning odds and took their winnings and spent it there, to importing a bunch of day trippers, whom never win either and call it a one and done.
