My friend and I traveled from different states to meet up in Jim Thorpe, and we are so glad we booked directly here. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful from start to finish. Not the mention, they have a parking lot! They put our rooms right next door to each other in the rustic room section, which made our trip even better. The room itself was charming and tastefully remodeled. We especially loved the little details--having makeup removal wipes and dedicated face towels provided. Plus, it was raining the day we arrived and we were ill prepared, but they provided complimentary umbrellas. It is the little details and great touches you don't always see. Booking directly was incredibly easy, and you can't beat the location right on Broadway. We will definitely be back!

Adorable boutique hotel in Jim Thorpe. Very well themed with local history and pictures. Loved that there was always someone at the front desk, the staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming upon arrival. The room was spacious and loved the little balcony. There was a small continental breakfast included in the bar area. The hotels location on broadway and the included parking makes this a must stay location for those busy fall weekends.

We booked a single night here for a small get away, and was nothing short of amazed! We were surprised with an upgrade to the king balcony room, which is 100% worth every penny!! The staff is beyond sweet and helpful. The surrounding restaurants, bars and shops and within walking distance. Plus, their spa was very relaxing!

This is what the basketball court used to look like. The new owners laid an entire floor a few feet above it!!!

Cool new hotel in an historic place! Our first time to Jim Thorpe- my Mom read some of the history and saw some photos of the beautiful shops and restaurants in Victorian-era buildings of downtown Jim Thorpe. She booked us at the Y because she knows I love buildings with stories. Well, this Y was built in the 1880's as the town's YMCA with bowling alleys, pools, basketball courts and an auditorium. Its new owners refurbished it themselves, adding floors within the existing building. They did a phenomenal job. The rooms are new and warm and clean. Beds are fluffy and comfortable, great mini-fridge in room, Smart TV. Our room had exposed brick as it was technically the top half of the auditorium, which had high windows. I love the artifacts from the building's years of service as a YMCA, a police department and office building. Photos everywhere of local and state significance. The best part was a history tour by Kate (manager?) who showed us the original parts of the property- old woodwork in the stairwells, etc. I totally geeked out it. We had a wonderful time in Jim Thorpe- did a lot of walking, shopping and eating. Beautiful town for stepping back in history.

What a beautiful historic inn in the heart of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania! From the moment we walked…read morein, we were impressed by the charm and character of the property. The inn is beautifully decorated and does a wonderful job of preserving the town's rich history. One of my favorite touches was the collection of autographed photos throughout the entrance area, showcasing the many artists, musicians, and notable guests who have stayed here over the years. The location couldn't be better. Situated right on Broadway, you're within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, galleries, and attractions that make Jim Thorpe such a special destination. We spent hours exploring the town and loved being able to return to the inn whenever we wanted to relax. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and tastefully decorated. It featured a cozy queen-size bed, two cushioned lounge chairs perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing, and a large swivel-mounted TV with streaming capabilities. The room had a warm and inviting feel that fit perfectly with the historic atmosphere of the inn. The staff truly made our stay memorable. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. They provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions and even supplied a handy map of Broadway highlighting all the shops and points of interest. If you're planning a visit to Jim Thorpe, I highly recommend staying here. The combination of historic charm, comfortable accommodations, outstanding service, and a prime downtown location makes this inn the perfect home base for exploring one of Pennsylvania's most beautiful towns.

The murder mystery itself was the highlight, the storyline was engaging, and the actors were clearly well-trained in improv and very kind. Murder Mystery: 8/10 The room was fairly standard, what you'd expect in an old-timey house. No TV or modern extras, but there were plenty of charging outlets, which was appreciated. Room: 7/10 The food during the stay was incredibly disappointing. Most of it felt like reheated microwave meals. Breakfast included eggs, bacon (very thin, broken pieces), cubed potatoes that were oddly watery, ham slices, stale danishes, cereal cups, and a parfait option that had run out by our 9am time slot. Dinner was similar in quality. I chose the cheese ravioli, but despite being second in line, it was cold. The same watery potatoes from breakfast were served again, along with green beans. The only highlight was the coffee, which was good. Food: 2/10 Unfortunately, the parking situation is very poor. There are only 5-6 spots directly outside and a few more up the hill behind the carriage house. I was dropped off at check-in and informed staff that my boyfriend would be arriving late. I was assured there would be parking available and that staff would be present 24/7 to assist him. However, I woke up to a call from him saying he couldn't find parking. I went downstairs to get help, but no staff could be found. Not wanting to disturb other guests, I eventually gave up, and he had to park on the street in the neighborhood on top of the hill overnight. At breakfast, we were briefly told about additional parking behind the carriage house, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue from the night before, nor any attempt to make it right. Parking: 1/10 The staff overall seemed inexperienced and, at times, unprofessional. While I empathize with younger staff members, there were several uncomfortable moments--such as hearing an employee joke about "killing" another staff member over a small mistake, and staff walking away mid-conversation while we were trying to ask follow-up questions. Staff: 4/10 Overall, there were some enjoyable elements, especially the murder mystery, but the experience didn't quite match the price point. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more worthwhile stay.

We had a lovely weekend at Hillcrest B&B. The accommodations were very pretty, very comfortable,…read morevery clean and they gave us everything we needed and more. It was our first time at a B&B and we didn't know what to expect. Nancy and Tom were the ultimate hosts, giving us good advice for tourist attractions, parking and options for restaurants for dinner. Nancy even picked us up on town because the street to their place is EXTREMELY steep and all uphill! After a day of sightseeing, my legs were tired!! The breakfasts were delicious and the choices were more than sufficient! I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a wonderful tourist weekend. Conveniently close to town and couldn't ask for nicer people.

They have brochures out, mints by the door, a heated towel rack! There were so many food options left for me - tea, snacks, oatmeal, bagels, juice ... Due to the pandemic, I had planned to take breakfast up to my room and eat privately, since my room had a little table, chairs, microwave, and mini-fridge. This wasn't necessary since there were no other guests, but could be a good option for others traveling during this pandemic. Matt was very helpful even from afar. He explained how to use the tv and provided advice on hikes. He was very responsive to texts and phone calls, and it was not an issue at all that he wasn't there.
