I've been to several shows at Wind Creek Event Center over the years and it's honestly one of my favorite venues in the area. I've seen everything here from rock concerts to traveling shows like Cirque du Soleil, and they always bring in a solid lineup of events. It's about an hour and a half from my house, which makes it a really convenient spot for bigger shows without having to go all the way into a major city. The venue itself is well organized and the staff always do a good job keeping things running smoothly. I've always felt safe here, even when the crowd gets packed for sold out shows. Depending on the event, the setup can be seated or general admission, which keeps it flexible for different types of performances. Normally the acoustics are really good, although at the most recent show they were a little bit off compared to what I've experienced before. Ticket prices are pretty average overall not cheap, but not outrageous either for the artists they bring in. Overall, it's a great venue with a consistently good lineup, and I'll definitely keep coming back for shows here. read more

If I could rate this place 0, I would. They treat people like convicts here, policing them the entire time! First they shovel you in after violating your privacy and yelling at the crowd like they're children! Then they pack everyone in like cattle. They obviously forgot about Covid, as the seats are tied together so you have to be on top of all the strangers around you. Then security nitpicks at EVERYTHING! Your toe touching the aisle is grounds for getting continuously harassed, then thrown out. But not just out of the venue, they throw you out to the Bethlehem police (this is the money scheme they got going). So first they rape you with ticket, food & drink prices, then they get you in trouble with the law, for absolutely no reason. They feed the piggies sandwiches while they await the arrests. The tall dork in headphones is the one who calls the shots. He signals to the other event staff who he wants to throw out that night. They don't care who you are, but they do seem to target a certain type. We witnessed this many times, but always thought they were doing something wrong. NOPE! They are just looking for their bread & butter, and greasing the palms of Bethlehem's law system. You will get a nice sized citation in the mail with no way to fight it. By the time this "experience" is over, you've probably wasted $1000 of your hard-earned cash. Wind Creek and the Event Center are protected under the Patriot Act, where they can assault you and toss you out without any questions. The Bethlehem Police do not care, nor will they ask you any questions, because they are in cahoots with each other! Save yourself the money and trouble, and go anywhere else. The State Theater, Sherman, and so many others actually value your patronage and will treat you with respect. Wind Creek Event Center needs to shut down; they should be sued for running their scam on paying customers. read more

Went to get tickets for comedian Gabriel Iglesias (Fluffy) for the beginning of September. We love seeing him, never leave without laughing so hard. We see him everytime he's at this venue. This will be about our 10th time seeing him. Customer Service was easy and pleasant. Looking forward to the show. read more

We went to see Dionne Warwick here last night and the venue was nice. Easy to get to, it's connected to a hotel casino. There's plenty of parking and valet. The ladies restroom has lots of stalls, so no wait after a concert. We enjoyed it and will look for other concerts here. read more

What a great place to see a show! Coming from someone who regularly attends concerts in the NY/NJ area Wind Creek is a refreshing change. Reasonable ticket and drink prices, small and intimate venue and overall comfortable surroundings. Recently saw Nancy Wilson's version of Heart and truly enjoyed myself. The acoustics of the room are great. Screens out in the bar area so you don't miss anything when you head out for a refill. Definitely going to have to keep this place on my radar! read more

Saw Brit Floyd here on 3/22/24. My first time at this venue I had no idea what to expect. I was surprised that it is located in a mall and right next to a hotel and casino. Old make for a really fun night to catch a show then hit the casino and crash at the hotel. One of the perks is the line into the venue is in the mall, so you aren't exposed to the weather while you wait to head through security. Security was thorough and the staff was all very friendly. Full bar and concession stand with some snacks. No hot food options but the soft pretzel was pretty good for 6$, and they have king size candy for 5$. The venue is pretty big. 2550 capacity for seated shows, 3700 for general admission. The seats on the floor were very close together and not very comfortable, but I heard the balcony seats have some nice cushions. The sound was fantastic and Brit Floyd was amazing, highly recommend checking them out if you like Pink Floyd. The venue is worth a visit if you've never been, give it a shot. Free parking in their lot, follow the signs for the event center, getting in and out was fairly easy. They also wristband you and allow exit and reentry which is a perk. 24 hour waffle house right down the road too! read more

Went to see Il Volo last Friday evening. The only good thing I can say, is the parking wasn't bad. My husband let me off at the doors and I was greeted by a face full of cigarette smoke while I waited for him to park the car. Having asthma, that was awful. We went inside and there weren't any directives as to which security line to stand in. We waited a few minutes in line and saw a security person and asked extremely politely and calling him sir, and he literally yelled at the crowd as to which line was the correct one. So as a herd of people, including us, went to the other extremely long line for security, it seemed to take forever to get in. We finally got to our seats, I paid very good money to sit in the center not terribly far back, only to find they are folding chairs. Could not see anything. The people in front of us, kept moving around, standing etc. It was not fun. Before the show, I was asked to move my chair and I explained I could not see anything, and I got well we need to keep the aisle clear. Understood, however, I only moved it a slight bit, so I could see and informed them of this. To which she replied something to the effect of "oh well" I informed her that I wanted to get what I paid for, and she literally got in my face and said if something happened and EMTS couldn't get past, you better hope they arent coming for you. Seriously, I would never get in the way of emergency personel. REALLY!!!! The few inches I moved my chair would not have mattered. I did push my seat back and my husband was angry about what was she saying to me. Well, my thoughts on this, don't put so many chairs in the crappy event room. We were crammed in there. Money is always the motivator. I paid for an aisle seat so I could see. The entire show, there was a usher standing right next to me. I was so upset and felt like a kid being admonished for doing something wrong. I was sitting in the chair turned at the waist and leaning out toward the aisle just to see. I am recovering from back surgery and this was painful. Meanwhile, there were people going up and down the aisle the whole time. I bought the tickets about 5 months ago and was so looking forward to seeing them. The show itself was fantastic. Il Volo puts on an excellent show. I will not, however, ever go back to this venue. The seats were awful, the sound was ok-ish, the lighting was horrible. I paid extra for the VIP gift and never received it as the security lines were so long and it took forever, I didn't get the merchandise. It was a horrible experience at this venue and I would not recommend it. As I said, however, Il Volo themselves were fantastic. Just wish I could have seen them better. This is the second concert I went to at this center. The acoustics could be better. especially if you are viewing loud bands and groups. The first concert was Collective Soul, the second was Il Divo. The sounds were atrocious. I wanted to this venue a second chance but no more, I would rather go to a movie theater to watch a concert. Also, the seating sucks. I paid 111 dollars to sit in the suites only to find out that they were folding chairs and bar stools. Go figure. They charge you 111 dollars and then a 29.5 service fee on top of that for this type of seating. Music concerts I would forego unless you don't care about acoustics and don't care about sitting on folding chairs. Linda read more

Plus: it was clean, all things considered. It was easy parking in the lot, easy entry as well. Minus: the sound and acoustics were pretty rough. We were there for a rock show, but the sound was so distorted that you couldn't make out the vocals at all. Since it was standing only, we actually went out to the lobby/bar area to rest our feet and ears after a good couple hours, and a lot of others had the same idea. There's plenty of room to chill, though seating is fairly limited unless you purchase the upgraded loft tickets. I might try this venue again for a comedy show or something that doesn't require sound mixing, it honestly detracted from the experience. read more

Really like this venue. A little confusing on where to go your first time after dark but wasn't terrible. Parking was also not bad even though it seemed almost at max capacity. Hotel lobby wraps around to the event center so if raining or just using first door, you are ok. Traffic control with events had traffic moving better than almost any event weve been to in other areas. The concert venue had a lobby with big TVs so you don't miss the action if you step out. I didn't use the restroom but other people in our party said they were nice. Would 100% return for an event/concert! read more

For physically challenged patrons there is no signage and we were lucky to stumble on an associate to help us. We spent over $700 on 4 tickets to the show to have what we thought were "good seats" only to find they were obstructed view. The stage is so high that the front seats are worthless. So feeling ripped off. read more

Staff ruined a fun concert. Was happily taking photos of the very visual Brit Floyd act. Everyone around me was too. Staff insisted that only I was not allowed to take photos because I have an old pocket camera. They have an archaic "no camera" policy but they allow everyone else to take pics with their cells. Strangers in the audience asked me, "why are they hassling you?" On the break later, tried to explain to Head of Security that cell phones now take better pics than old pocket cameras. Staff told me to use my cell instead but I had 1.5 hour drive home and wanted to conserve battery and have little space on phone. I often invite friends to concerts and would choose Parx or Rivers Casino who almost any other venue instead of Windcreek for their arbitrary archaic rules. read more

The casino itself is beautiful, but the event center is laid out a bit odd. If you're going to pay the premium price for seating, you'll be farther away than a general admission tickets with a worse view. Smaller venue, but the acoustics were pretty good. read more

The best thing about this venue is that the parking is free for concert/event-goers and that you don't have to walk through the casino (i.e., spend money) to get to the theater. There are outside entrances that lead directly to the bar area. For a small venue, I was pleased with the accommodations for over 21-year-olds. There is a huge bar/lounge waiting area with a solid base of beers on tap (Magic Hat, Landshark, and Blue Moon are as sophisticated as it gets) and there is a bar within the arena for drinks during the show. The entire place is very industrial and spartan. There aren't any frills here, but I guess they were trying to keep in touch with the steel heritage of Bethlehem. The place is loud because of the concrete, so if you are going to see a show, go and see an arena rock band like Yes or Rush (I saw Yes on April 7th and the show was amazing). The sound is great for a band like that. I was also happy with the seating, most of which has a good view of the stage. The floor doesn't have stadium seating, which would probably get annoying for those sitting down there. Overall: an A-OK venue with good perks like free parking and a casino nearby, but with limited ambiance inside. read more

I have mixed feelings about the Sands Event Center. On one hand, the acoustics were great and I had an incredible concert experience. On the other hand, some of the staff lacked a common sense gene. Prior to the recent Counting Crows show, there was a lot of uncertainty on how they would let the crowd into the venue when the doors open. Is everyone going in at the same time? Does VIP get the early entry they paid for? None of the staff seemed to know. So everyone stood around by the roped off tours in a cluster-eff waiting. Since there was no organization, I stood against the rope to the far right. I didn't realize that's where staff with access to the venue would need to come in and out. No biggie. I moved when most of them politely said excuse me. One staff member didn't say anything and just taped me to move. How rude! So between the uncertainty and rude staff I'm knocking off a star. (Another star off for this venue not being a 5-star venue to start with.) The venue itself was fine. The view from the rail was pretty sweet with only a small area for photographers in between us and the stage. As I mentioned earlier, the acoustics were great. The bathrooms were back on the outside of the venue. That's a really far hike if you are trying to quickly get back to your spot. The food options weren't great- I'm not going to eat something heavy (like anything from Chickie & Pete's) prior to a standing room only show. The drinks were relatively inexpensive for concert standards. Single cups of wine were $6 and doubles were $12. The bartender who served me was ever so kind as to put my double in an even larger glass so it wouldn't spill as I made my way back through the crowds. Other things to note: parking is free for this venue. The actual venue is also pretty far from the actual casino. If you were hoping for front row and the ability to gamble, you are kind of out of luck. I'd come back but only for the right act. read more

I Went to a comedy show last night. As entered you were stopped by security & wanded. They you walked in,showed your ticket & was given a band to wear. If you needed to leave & Goto rest room & or Goto casino you are wanded again by security. Guess this is good. There was plenty of security,police, & actually an ambulance crew their. They actually were asking people if wanted to upgrade sears due to their were a lot of seats empty. Not sure if the they do this at any other events. Seats were fold up chairs and I'm a pretty big guy and was comfortable. read more

I came here with my bf to see Tom Segura. Waiting area is beautiful and for the amount of people attending, there was a lot of room for people to sit or stand around to drink/socialize. Drinks are expensive AF...but that's what you get at event bars. 2 double shots of jack n ginger/coke was $36! Wish they used bigger cups and gave less ice but I'm glad I tasted a lot of alcohol. The food isn't so pricey which is nice. Just the usual- hot dogs, pretzels, nachos. The seating area were folded chairs which I found strange....I thought it would have been like movie theater/MSG seating, so that caught me by surprise. Luckily the seats were very comfortable for being folded chairs. Everything was organized and everyone left in a smoothly manner which was nice. read more

(3.75 stars) We saw Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie at the Sands Event Center last Friday night. As guests in the Sands Casino Resort, getting to the Event Center was a breeze. Ticket prices were on-par with Madison Square Garden, which-- given the smaller and more intimate venue-- made them a good value. The Event Center is modern, clean and well-maintained, although it won't win any interior design awards. Like the converted steel mill building which has been repurposed as the Sands Casino Resort, the vibe is contemporary industrial. We saw no areas where line-of-sight to the stage wasn't (at minimum) good, and our 29th row seats (right center section) were very good. Seating was on relatively comfortable folding chairs, with a piece of painter's tape on the aisle seat indicating the row number and first seat (you count the chairs as you continue down the row). We had just finished dinner in the Casino, so we didn't stop at the beer and wine bar area. From what was seen, pricing was reasonable. The acoustics in the Sands Event Center were excellent, but when Lindsey began to shred, the back wall (where the doors are) gave serious distortion. Perhaps this is unavoidable. A great concert, and a very good venue. read more

I heard a mix of reviews from family and friends prior to attending a recent, none worthy of outright ignoring such a close venue by any means. With that said, I will NOT be attending another show unfortunately. In short, great access, little "over-secured". Yes, some will think that's a bold statement, but unless there's access to heavy artillery or an army tank hidden under a toilet, there is absolutely no need to have to get re-scanned returning from said bathroom trek. Especially, if you're known to have the tiniest bladder known to man. Let's fast forward. Over half way through the show, security and staff cut ALL ACCESS to main lobby, citing a "private party". This results in confusion for myself, and everyone else. End of show, which was great, especially if you enjoy the acoustics of a giant concrete box. MAIN exits are no longer available and the ENTIRE crowd now shipped through a small set of doors on one side of the theatre taking anywhere from 20-25 minutes. Many vocal complaints, especially from one of my companions using a set of crutches for a broken foot. That one set of doors and corridor lead to one place. THE MAIN CASINO FLOOR. The intent seemed pretty obvious. There's more fun to be had, but I'm sure that's all I'm willing to go into right now as my brain is starting to throb from the total lack of common sense. read more

We've seen about a dozen events here over the past few years so I think I can give an honest appraisal across a variety of experiences. Some of the shows standing room only and mad rush to the front for a good spot. Others have comfortable seating. Depends on the act. Sound and lightning have always been great. Drinks and concessions expensive but not nearly as bad as the big city venues. Parking is free. Getting in and out is easy. And there are things to do walking around the casino before and after the show. Were very fortunate to have a facility like this in the Lehigh valley. read more

Pretty terrible. Went to see Jim Jeffries, a comedian. One of the opening acts said 'thanks for coming out to see us here at your aircraft hangar'. That nailed it. It's a big boxy room devoid of any personality. The seating is uncomfortable fold out chairs placed with no space in between them. We were squeezed in between some really large people and it was pretty unpleasant. They also had some temperature control issues, it was really hot when the show first started and everyone piled into the hangar. The outside area feels like a casino lobby, which it kinda is. Overall, not the worst but definitely not my thing. I'd rather drive to Philly to a venue like Union Transfer any day. read more

Bob F from Naz hit the proverbial nail on zee head. Staff friendly, place sucks. Went here last night for first time to see Mr. Warmth, Don Rickles & that ole bastid is still funny as ever. As we were escorted to our seats, row 5 on floor, 1st thing I noticed is the concrete steps, then the concrete floor and finally at our seats, I look to my left & see the concrete wall that separates the floor from surrounding seats. Now I'm in construction management & the finishes on the concrete is HORRIBLE. Is this what the Sands construction team considers good work & to be shown to the public? Terrible. There was chipped concrete on the wall & I was looking at maybe 20' of it. The way they designed it makes it perfect for a metal show's mosh pit ;) The sound - first there was a piano guy who was backed by Don's band, he was alright, but the sound was bouncing off the back. Same for Mr. Warmth, you really had to concentrate to catch the jokes due to poor sound w/ it reverberating off the back This place has a box shape, which I think makes it bad for sound. Reminds me of Roseland Ballroom in NYC. I went to about 6 different shows there over the 90's - mostly bands, like Slayer, Megadeth, etc. And the sound always sucked. So much so I that I refused to go back, even to see bands I liked. Places with good sound are, MSG, Radio City, Carnegie Hall, Bowery Ballroom & Beacon Theatre - U get the idea. I see they have acoustical panels along the wall, but it doesn't help. They need to hire a serious sound professional & also install better finishes over concrete. Don't wasted your $ to see anyone until they do. read more

I am impressed with the quality of acts at the event center, so I decided to check out the venue. Although I was very pleased with the concert, I was very disappointed with the atmosphere. The floors are concrete, so the acoustics are spotty. The seats are folding plastic chairs that are very uncomfortable, especially for a performance lasting more than one hour. I also noticed that there are many seats with a poor view of the stage. Before the concert started, a man sitting in front of me asked the usher if the venue was still under construction given the folding chairs and concrete floors. The staff at the bar and ushers were very friendly and professional. All in all they have a high quality staff. I wish I could say the same about the performance center. I do not plan on seeing any more concerts here until they upgrade seating and make the appropriate corrections to bring the venue up to the quality that the acts and paying patrons deserve. read more

Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe my experience at the sands event center. We purchased suite tickets back in November for the Ellie Goulding concert.-- a scheduled indoor concert at the sands event center. We found out the day before the concert that it had been moved outside. I spoke with an employee named Kim who said our accommodations would be comparable to what we had purchased. She said that we would have a "VIP" tent next to our seats that would have the available beverages that were included with our suite tickets. That was wrong. The tent was on the complete other side of the venue, no where near where our seats were located. She said that there would be nearby restrooms, but again, she was wrong. The restrooms were located even farther away from our seats than the tent. The next issue was the seating. Our suite seats were among the rest of the seats outside. There wasn't a special area for suite ticket holders. Shortly before the show started, security(who seemed to have no idea what was going on) was advising guests to just sit wherever they wanted. We were there early enough and were able to sit in our assigned seats, but other guests had to argue with the random people that sat in their seats until they got up. The Sands event center handled this in such a poor manner. My seat was not worth half of what I paid for it and what was promised with my ticket, was not delivered. Not sure who's fault it would be, but Kim, who I spoke to on the phone, said there would be two opening acts. It was on the website as well, however, only one act performed. Thankfully, we still were able to enjoy the show, but besides the performer, sands really neglected to make the most out of the unnecessary situation they created. Hopefully, they learn from this mistake and will better prepare for a change like this with more than a day's notice. read more

This is really a lousy place to see a show. It really proves that it is the artists that matter. If you can book great acts, the rest is gravy. If you know places like the Orpheum in Boston, you know what I mean. This is no State Theatre or Musikfest Cafe. First the food, horrible. $10 cheesesteaks from that crappy chain Chickie & Petes. The food is reheated by high school kids. So, you get the double whammy of terrible quality plus high price. Decent drink selection but those are expensive too. No surprise there. The seating really stinks. Plastic seats, not tiered. Just hope that a local basketball team is not sitting in front of you. There is seating on a higher level that is left and right of the stage. That is a bit better ... So grab a seat at the sides if at possible. I say again. The only places with worse seating are those old 1890s era places where the seats are too small and too cramped. The place is also ugly ... All black. It is really an events center and not a theater so I guess it is what it is. So, come to see artists you like but be prepared to not be impressed with the venue. read more

I went the the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on October 26, 2013 to see Sammy Hagar. Pros; As others have mentioned, plenty of free parking. Sound was pretty good, but I'd attribute that to the soundman, not the venue. Two large video screens. That's where the "pros" end. The venue is very poorly set up to see a show. The "floor" is sunken and surrounded by 8 foot high concrete walls. Maybe it was a better show from the raised side areas? Or the suites? Folding chairs on a hard concrete floor to see a show? This is what my $80 got me? Before the lights went down they had cleaning people walking around with towels to slop up spilled drinks. Got all the way to the encore and the drunk slob behind us puked on us and everyone around us! SBEC obviously over served this baffoon and didn't want anything to do with it after we complained. Never going back there and I recommend it to no one. read more

I want to like the Event Center. I really do, but I just can't get over how bad the sound is in this room! It doesn't matter if you are seeing a band or a comedy show. The sound is awful. Ownership/management must have been aware of this sound issue because sometime since it opened they have tried to make it better by installing acoustic panels mounted on the walls everywhere, but I have not noticed a significant difference. Again, I wish it were a better place to see live bands (because they do book good acts), but I cannot get over how bad it sounds. read more

The good: I had no problem seeing the band or hearing the band despite being halfway back from the stage. There are two screens flanking the stage to help you get a close up of your favorite rockstar. The staff was good about getting you in and settled quickly and the fact that it is in a casino makes for good pre and post event activities. Oh and plenty of bathrooms, so no long lines. The bad: The folding chairs are not very comfortable. I feared that they would break under a heavier person's weight. Maybe it was the chairs or maybe it was just the band itself, but I felt the set up of the room brought the energy down. If you stood up to dance to your favorite song, you were looked at like a jerk. So you were forced to sit. If I was the band, I would have rathered a standing room so that I could feed off the excitement of the crowd. Oh well, it was not my gig. Also not the prettiest place in the land, but it will do.
