First time st this venue on 7/26/24 To see Superunknown, the Chris Cornell tribute band. Venue is such a great space, clean, first come first gets the seats. I only sat for a few minutes and we stood up front with the band for most of the show. Really cool place. I'm definitely interested in coming back depending on the lineup. It's technically almost 2hrs feom home but not a big deal, no heavy traffic, etc. I definitely enjoyed it

JUNE Music Schedule At Penn's Peak Concert Hall. 6/4/2023

July 31, 2023 - Monday Review #442 While Vacationing 5 Days In Mountain Top, Wilkes-Barre and Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania, I was given a tour of Penn's Peak before dining upstairs at Roadies Restaurant. I arrived here after a 45 minute drive to dine upstairs at Roadies Restaurant on Sunday with my cousins. We walked around the areas of this concert hall before dining upstairs. I have also posted photos of Penn's Peak Concert Venue within the areas outside the doors of the lobby, elevators and restrooms. Some photos posted are flyers advertising the music concerts of artists for June, July and the rest of the entertainment season in 2023. Penn's Peak from what my cousin Steve told Me is a beautiful Concert Venue that holds close to 2,000 concertgoers. Tickets are available at their box office by walk up only so no phone orders. Hours: Monday through Friday at 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on event nights. Phone: Toll Free: 866-605-7325 General Admission on Main floor is standing room only. He said every seat in the house is the best seat! There are Luxury Suites with private restrooms, large screen HDTV, custom bar along with catering packages with a great view of stage. Join their Sneak Peak Club to enjoy members kit and concert benefits: Groupie - $75, Stagehand -$125, Roadie - $250, Headliner-$1000. Upcoming Events: August - Rodney Atkins, TimeWhys, Band Brothers, The Large Flowerheads, Trace Adkins, Keystone Groove and Gene Watson to name a few off their Concert Line. Contact Information: Penn's Peak 325 Maury Rd. Jim Thorpe, PA 18229 (610) 826-9000 Never miss a concert! Sign up for Penn's Peak newsletter by email. Lastly I saw that all the hallways in Penn's Peak and Roadies Dining Areas have posters and banners of previous famous and future music concerts of Artists and Bands. Many local residents, guests and travelers look forward to a great concert here at Penn's Peak along with a delicious meal or appetizer also at Roadies Restaurant upstairs to complete a musical, delicious and scenic views while visiting in the city of Jim Thorpe PA! Rock & Roll...Rock On...Enjoy Tunes! SpecialK - Karen Michigan :-)

We stopped for a beer on our way to Jim Thorpe for the weekend. This was my first time but others I was with have been here before. The views from the bar are great. I'd love to be here when the weather is nice and the deck is open. The bar/restaurant also doubles as a concert venue and it's really neat seeing all the posters of popular musicians who've played there. We didn't eat and the beer list was small. The bartender was really personable. I'd come back for the views alone.

Great place in the mountains to see a show! Easy parking, quick entry through security and great sound!

I'm reviewing the venue for concerts only. Well, it's gorgeous! Great sound and a dynamic light show! We saw Phil Vassar and the show was great and it was a high energy performance! Parking is plentiful- not sure I understand when people said in other reviews it was hard to get to the venue from the lot, it's all right there. We were mere steps away and getting out when the show was over was simple. The personnel at Penn's Peak was ultra friendly. Based on the poor reviews of "Roadies" (the adjoined restaurant) we elected not to eat there but it was a relatively empty dining room. Now I kinda wish I would've given it a chance. I've had dinner there in the past and the service is very slow and I was worried about missing the show. The food has been good in my past experience. The views are gorgeous from the restaurant deck. Go and ask just to stand on the deck. Take pictures and enjoy. Penn's Peak attracts amazing talent at an equally pocketbook friendly price. Five Stars!!

Beautiful venue for a wedding! I attended a wedding at Penn's Peake recently and was very impressed with this venue. The inside is beautiful and all made of wood. The staff was very friendly (both servers and bartenders). The views outside are AMAZING. - Food - We had a few bites at cocktail hour that were all very good: Chicken cordon blue bites, mini spring rolls, pigs in a blanket For dinner, my friend and I had the chicken parmesan, which was excellent. You can tell all the food was fresh. Everything was perfectly cooked and had a lot of flavor. I even liked the bread roll that came with the starter salad. I would definitely recommend this venue.

This is how dessert is served @ Penns Peak.. Pretty embarrassing

This place is beautiful. The views are great. The staff is confused and for all the Indians running around, there is no chief to lead the group. I wont go into long or drawn out details, but they need to get their shit together better for organized events. I thought someone was playing a joke on me when I sat at my table and saw a 1 inch sliver of cake plopped onto a napkin. It looked like poop. And it was served to us like we were dogs. Oddly, I would come here again but my expectations would be far below the altitude of this location.

What is the security check in like?

We were just there May 2025. They had a metal detector wand and looked in my purse.

The experience provided does not meet expectations for the price point required…read more Spent the weekend doing their murder mystery package, and overall it was okay. The murder mystery itself was the highlight, the storyline was engaging, and the actors were clearly well-trained in improv and very kind. Murder Mystery: 8/10 The room was fairly standard, what you'd expect in an old-timey house. No TV or modern extras, but there were plenty of charging outlets, which was appreciated. Room: 7/10 The food during the stay was incredibly disappointing. Most of it felt like reheated microwave meals. Breakfast included eggs, bacon (very thin, broken pieces), cubed potatoes that were oddly watery, ham slices, stale danishes, cereal cups, and a parfait option that had run out by our 9am time slot. Dinner was similar in quality. I chose the cheese ravioli, but despite being second in line, it was cold. The same watery potatoes from breakfast were served again, along with green beans. The only highlight was the coffee, which was good. Food: 2/10 Unfortunately, the parking situation is very poor. There are only 5-6 spots directly outside and a few more up the hill behind the carriage house. I was dropped off at check-in and informed staff that my boyfriend would be arriving late. I was assured there would be parking available and that staff would be present 24/7 to assist him. However, I woke up to a call from him saying he couldn't find parking. I went downstairs to get help, but no staff could be found. Not wanting to disturb other guests, I eventually gave up, and he had to park on the street in the neighborhood on top of the hill overnight. At breakfast, we were briefly told about additional parking behind the carriage house, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue from the night before, nor any attempt to make it right. Parking: 1/10 The staff overall seemed inexperienced and, at times, unprofessional. While I empathize with younger staff members, there were several uncomfortable moments--such as hearing an employee joke about "killing" another staff member over a small mistake, and staff walking away mid-conversation while we were trying to ask follow-up questions. Staff: 4/10 Overall, there were some enjoyable elements, especially the murder mystery, but the experience didn't quite match the price point. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more worthwhile stay.

Just in time for Halloween!…read more Perched atop Packer Hill in the village of Jim Thorpe, this place was used as the model for the Haunted Mansion at Disney, whose interior is anything but spooky. After our tour at Asa Packer, he later built his son Harry a mansion next door as a wedding present in 1874. The mansion's impressive facade could have been taken from a Gothic novel, so much so that the building's design caught the eye of Disney Imagineers where my partner, his aunt, and I came to take some photos last Saturday. The Harry Packer Mansion Inn is open for lodging, tours on weekends, drinks at Libations Lounge, and, of course, murder mystery. Fifteen-foot ceilings, marble fireplaces, and gilded mirrors reflect the elegance of the Victorian Age. If you are in the area, it's a photo op.
