    From my hotel room

Wind Creek Bethlehem is one great property with spacious rooms. The staff is both happy and dedicated. Clean and welcoming, the hotel is fantastic. The outlet area, however, is a bit lackluster and the food court could do with a little pizzazz. I found it strange that with everything available, I couldn't find one place that offered allergy medication or even Tylenol. The casino is vast with exceptional security staff. Everyone is welcoming and professional. Although not a gambler, I enjoyed a great three-day escape with excellent food at Urban Table and Chop House, photographing the remains of Bethlehem Steel, and working out in Wind Creek's stellar fitness center, which is the best I've ever seen outside of a regular gym. I look forward to returning!

This is one of my favorite casinos. The slots are always changing and moved as they get out dated. Some days the no smoking rule is ignored or not enforced but for the most part it's not bad. The tables are pretty good. For each winner, there will be a few losers. That's the casino! I have not stayed here as of yet. But I will get a room this summer some time. More to come on the room! The staff is always friendly. And will interact if you stop them. Parking is plentiful and free unless you use valet as I do. And the valet here is cheaper than at any PA casino that I've been to. For the 55 minute drive. It beats the drive to Atlanta City or other PA casino. However I come here cause I win more than anywhere. The decor in the valet lobby is always worth taking photos in. I will be back for sure.

We went here for the Tyler Hubbard concert and it's a great venue for a concert. It's indoor, was clean, and held enough people to know it's a concert but not too many people for our daughter's first concert.

I've been to Wind Creek twice; once for a wedding and once to stay, and I'm looking forward to returning for more stays. The Wind Creek resort is comprised of a hotel, restaurants, a food court, a casino, spa, and outlets. So there is a lot to do. My cousin had her wedding reception here and it was beautiful. Drinks and appetizers were great; the main course was somewhat inedible, so they can improve on that. This was on a Saturday and the place was very busy. We recently stayed here for an overnight and it was mostly great. Front desk staff were friendly, however, we did request extra pillows, and those never showed, so that could be better. Also, the tub in the suite needed cleaning, though everything else was very clean, so maybe they just forgot. But I wasn't happy about having to clean it myself. The bed was super comfortable. We didn't want to leave. And the suite itself was spacious. Drinks at The Mixx, which is their lobby bar, were great. Cindy is a fun bartender. We enjoyed some appetizers from the food court. My partner enjoys the casino. I'm looking forward to checking out the spa on my next visit, and we will probably eat at one of their full-service restaurants as well. The Wind Creek has excellent, easy parking, which is appreciated. And it's close enough to downtown Bethlehem that you could walk. And if you wanted a longer walk, you could also walk into historic Bethlehem, so the location is great. It's a nice option in the Lehigh Valley.

Came for a work conference and enjoyed it. The Conference center is huge. Very clean facility and bathrooms are pristine. The staff are friendly and helpful. They provided great snacks all with huge smiles. The casino is cool but a basic casino. It smells of cigarettes everywhere even though only a small section is smoking. There's a cool bar in the middle of the casino floor and another bar on the side of the casino floor named Molten with a live DJ and dancing. Sports book spot too. The hotel room was wonderful. Huge room, beautiful, and very clean. I have a serious down feather allergy and the housekeeping did a fantastic job making the room hypoallergenic/ feather free for me. They even checked in to make sure I was ok and that everything was clean for me.

This casino combines the cashier and players club together. Lines to cash in chips are soooo long, as those seeking player card services usually take up a lot of time. This is so insane and backwards. Whoever came up with that brilliant idea needs to be fired!!

Kaching!!! The sound of Slots playing can be heard all over. I found the atmosphere pleasant and laid back. To make your money earn complimentary rewards, visit the Guest Services desk and sign up! You'll not only get two cards, you'll get a red lanyard to add a card to it. Keep the other spare tucked away! I got comps from the bus trip but could not get the Video Poker machines to work! Ugh! Why so complicated! It frustrated me for a while, so I decided to shop at the outlets instead. It's nice that the outlet mall opens into the casino and vice versa. Coming back I tried it again and still it didn't work. I was able to flag down a casino worker who told me comps and free play do not work on "cards" and this applies even if your cards are in a Slot machine! Oh well! I decided to insert some good ole cash. I didn't find the poker machines returning good decks, but it was fun! I played a Lion Link Slot for one penny but the lowest bet was 88 cents. The highest you can go is $2 in value but you can play up to 488 credits. Sounds complicated! It is! Trying to figure out these machines would take me longer than my one visit. Down to two bucks in comps, I hit something because the machine went into auto drive and kept going for free 8 games adding money to my pot! I didn't question how I won. It just happened and I cashed out and more Kaching! It certainly didn't put a dent in the casino but it was enough for me to go buy that on sale sweater I desperately wanted! The front of the casino was nicely decorated inside with Christmas decorations! Security guards are there to ensure no weapons get in! Stunning graphics on the Slots but my eyes are so dazzled by all the colors, symbols, letters and lines that I don't even know how to play! Bathroom seats have revolving toilet seat covers! Read the instructions before using. The outside structure looks like a huge glass office. Of course I couldn't take photos of casino area!

I enjoyed the Wind Creek Bethlehem. The site has very good restaurants... MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A RESERVATION BEFORE GOING..... and plenty of parking. I'm going to assume, that the parking is always free, because on the day that we went, we did not see any booths or pay stations upon exiting. We tried to eat at the Urban Table restaurant, but the wait time was close to 2 hours.  Instead, we went to the buffet. The buffet was a great decision and it did not disappoint. They had everything from salad, pizza, chicken, pasta, cod, green beans, bread, and.....ahhhh, dessert. The dessert bar had various pies, cakes, and an ice cream station, with toppings. Our server was very courteous, attentive, and quickly cleared our dishware after every round. I recommend the Wind Creek Bethlehem to either dine, stay, gamble, or people watch.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The first time was last year, and there was a lot of construction going on, so it wasn't a pleasant experience. However, I went back as there was a great deal going on and found it to be a much better time. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the check-in experience wasn't that fast, but maybe it was due to the fact that there was a rush of ppl at that exact time. I wished we could've been able to stay at one of the newer rooms and the new tower. I did ask and was told that only the accessible room was available and declined it. They did give free drink vouchers for the lounge that's by the lobby. It said up to $15 per drink, which is a steal. I explored every nook and cranny of this place, I did forget to ask how to get to the gift shop. But the fitness room and the indoor pool area were both super nice. You do need the key card in order to gain access. The fitness room is opened 24/7, which is nice, and there are unlimited towels plus water bottles for guests. The hotel is connected to the casino, outlet, and food court, which is convenient. All in all. I'll probably return as there's always some event happening at the steelstacks.

Thankfully for him, he did not. We stayed in a three person room on the top floor (stairs were not fun). They had one of those ductless heating systems since I imagine the heating elements on the floor could not keep up. When we turned it on, every time the heating began, it sounded like a spaceship was landing in our room. The noise was so bad we inquired, and they said "it's always been that way" and "I wouldn't be able to sleep with that noise." Surprise, neither could I! I also learned there is a heating issue in another room on the 1st floor. They have known about these issues. None of them have been fixed. The single bed for the third person may fit a medium size child. My friend would have been falling off. Whoever did the online pictures did very well because it's not nearly as nice in person. Let's move onto the bathroom. The toilet is wedged up against the wall along with the heating element and the TP holder. You cannot sit on the toilet unless you sit sideways without having to jam your leg into the TP holder. The room is so very poorly designed and put together. The main room downstairs is painted well and looks nice. Our room looks like a beginner class did the paint and drywall, and the owner said oh well, good enough. I hope you are on the shorter side because if you are 6ft or taller, good luck taking a shower. Now lets talk about the towels. These towels were so cheap and small, I don't think the local dollar store would sell them. I am not sure where you could even find linens of such low quality. Morning mercifully came and people raved about the breakfast. I have to say, it was just ok. There were three choices: bacon and eggs, oatmeal and a French toast bake which was just basically a warm pastry. The food was just ok. The bacon was horribly undercooked and cheap. There was only one coffee dispenser and quite the line to get some. The snacks which are allegedly available all day were gone when we arrived back that night. When I went to check out and voice my concerns, there was a sign that basically said leave your key and get out. I sent an email to them asking to discuss my issues. Shocker, no one has replied. For almost $400, please stay elsewhere. Although not their fault, there is also loud traffic outside the building all night long. It's right next to major road/highway.

Right across the street is a garage where hotel guests park for free with validation. The lobby is wonderful with seating, front desk, breakfast dining area, and an on-site eatery and bar. (The breakfast looked amazing but we can't get up that early.) Pamela and Krishna were exceptional front desk staff that made our stay enjoyable. Our room was large and clean with a great heating and cooling system. There was a problem with the bathroom: The inside door handle was broken. The shower was too small with a strange half-door that even if angled properly, still sent water to the floor. The water remained warm and never got hot. The fitness center isn't much and we passed on the pool and it's milky water. It really looked sickly. Sleeping was great but the major problems occurred on the morning of our departure. Check-out is at noon yet, even with our "do not disturb" sign out, a housekeeper knocked on the door at 10:30 AM while we were sleeping. I think she wanted to make sure we were up to check out on time because she didn't knock on anyone else's door. At checkout, there was no way for me to pick up my girlfriend because six vehicles blocked the small entrance/exit to the property. Even though there's a parking sign for 15 minutes, one SUV remained there for over a half-hour. We will give this property another shot because Hyatt's are usually a step above.

He was so friendly and helpful, and really made our experience great. He helped my disabled father, which I really appreciate. Everyone else we interacted with was great too. I really do think Hyatt Place hires the best staff and this was no exception. But the low rating is due to cleanliness. Our bathroom had not seen a vacuum or cleaning spray in who knows how long. The floors and shower were not super clean. The vent was absolutely disgusting. The phone was covered in dust. And our do not disturb sign looked like a rodent had chewed it. Normally, I would say something to the staff, but we had a ton of luggage and were tired, plus we had a packed weekend. I just didn't have time. The staff is excellent so I know our room would have been switched. But it's more concerning to me that this was considered an acceptable condition for a room. So whether we had switched rooms or not, the issue is the cleaning standards. The bed was super comfortable but I hate that it was next to the HVAC unit. I think the rooms are in need of renovating and I didn't love the layout. Recommend requesting a high floor. However, the accessible rooms are great, as my dad loved his, and it was well-suited to his needs. We didn't eat breakfast but did get drinks at the bar. Be sure to have cash to tip, because if you charge it to your room, you can't tip at checkout. There is an ATM in the lobby, which is helpful. Parking was easy to manage in the parking garage across the street. Location was great to walk around Historic Bethlehem and we even walked over the river to the south side. Since I love Hyatt Places, I want better for this location. But don't change the front desk staff because they are fantastic.

Lost River Caverns is a natural limestone cavern and tourist attraction located in Hellertown,…read morePennsylvania that has been forming for 250,000 years. Consisting of five chambers, the caverns were formed by the karstification or dissolving of the limestone by water. In the past, the cavern was also referred to as "Rentzheimer's Cave" or the "Lost Cave". The "Lost River", so named because the source and mouth of the river have not yet been discovered, flows through it. The temperature in the cave is consistently close to 52 °F (11 °C). The area on the surface of the cavern was a limestone quarry in the 19th century. In 1883, quarry workers ignited a black powder blast to remove limestone from the cliff face. In doing so, they discovered the entrance to the cavern. The first systematic exploration of the cavern didn't take place until three years later. In the years following the cavern's discovery, local residents found the underground spaces ideal for a variety of uses. During the late 1800s, a wooden dance floor was constructed in what is now called the "Crystal Chapel". Regular dances were held in the natural air conditioning of the cave. Irwin Gilman purchased the cave in 1929 and opened it to the public the following year. It is still owned and operated for tours by the Gilman family today. When there was about…read more1.5 hours left I contacted the property (along with general IHG customer care) because I noticed that my (2) double queen rooms had been updated and confirmed for (2) king rooms. Seeing as how we had 6 people and 2 elderly folks in our group, this was not going to work. -It took the remainder of the ride there which was in excess of 1.5 hours to gain no traction on getting back my double queen rooms. The stress and uncertainty of arriving in a town you've never been in with friends and family not knowing if you're going to have a place to stay is really a feeling I was not expecting to have when I confirmed my (2) double queen rooms when I booked. -I received zero communication or updates via the app, phone, email, etc for this MAJOR chance in my room reservation. All I had to go off of was email confirmation that noted that I had (2) double queen rooms. -When I arrived, half of my party came in with me and half stayed in the vehicle. When I approached the front desk, she explained to me that she was attempting to call people who had queen rooms to try and switch for me and that one had already confirmed a switch. So, at that point...I was "confirmed" for (1) Double Queen room and (1) King room. This was still impossible for me to do so I waited to make her other calls. In the meantime, I asked if they had another king room I could add and be comped to give me the 4 beds I needed. The other clerk scoffed and said no while citing that they were completely sold out. She had been rude the entire time so I tried not to speak with her. I explained that there was the ability to book a king room on the IHG site right then and there so there should be one available. She then explained to me that if I booked that non refundable room and paid for it, I would not have a room and I'd never see that money again. I decided to shut down and accept that I was not going to be treated fairly as a customer from that lady. After waiting for a while, we were notified that another person called back and was willing to switch us to the double queen room. SO, at this point after waiting around for over an hour on premises and trying to sort it out for over an hour on the ride to Bethlehem, we SUPPOSEDLY had what we ORIGINALLY booked months prior. -At this point there were alot of people in the lobby because we were not the only people having issues. The 2 front desk clerks were going back and forth with 2 of the cleaning staff during this time for another handful of minutes because they were saying all of the rooms were clean but the system wasn't showing it, etc etc. Eventually we got called back up and we were expecting to be checked in. HOWEVER, we were told that they actually had no double queen rooms at all and we were crap out of luck. -After this, I'm thoroughly embarrassed as the point man in my group. I have my name on this "guest of the day" board that is totally bullsh*t, and I'm being treated like an idiot. We have no place to stay but I have to keep my reservation because it's better than sleeping in our vehicle (which 2 of our elderly party members were doing at this point). I politely leave while asking them not to cancel my reservation. We proceed to drive around town for the next 2-3 hours in an attempt to find accommodations that will fit our group. After wasting gas, paying for parking at multiple spots, wasting time at multiple hotels BECAUSE hotels were booked. (hence why I booked my rooms so early)...we landed on a hotel that was able to accommodate us with 3 rooms at full, last minute, prices. I paid $500 more than I CONFIRMED AND BOOKED my candlewood rooms at but we had to do it, I had no other choice. -This ordeal started at 330 PM and I got booked into a room at 930 PM at a hotel I did not originally purchase because the Candlewood suites decided they didn't want to honor the reservation I book. It was a breach of contract, and I was not notified of any change. I was in contact with IHG customer service saying that IHG STRICTLY adheres to the terms of reservation and that I should contact you. I know what was being updated in the logs because that IHG person was telling me what was being put in my case number. The updates were false and I have record to prove that. In summary -I spent 6 hours of unplanned time trying to either RECTIFY my candlewood screw up that wasn't my fault, or running around town looking for a place for our party of 6 people to sleep. 2 of which were way too old to go through this crap. -I spent $500 extra of my money to book a different hotel that wasn't going to screw us over. This 500 does not include the gas and parking that I incurred looking for this. -We cancelled our dinner reservation because we prioritized our well being and where we were going to sleep. This was a $50 charge from the restaurant on the cancellation of last minute.
