My first time visiting this location and it was relatively decent. I was very disappointed with no alcoholic beverages permitted on the casino floor. Thats a huge part of the fun. But we still had a good time. Plenty of slots to play. Although, I did not see attendants cleaning much. You had to find your own hand sanitizer between games for covid purposes. We also had dinner at one of the restaurants there. Very long wait line to get a table. Our fault for not making a reservation elsewhere. Be prepared to wait at peak times. Food was ok but not amazing. I would try another place for food vs the one we went to. It is decent for a local place if you are not wanting to make the trek to AC. read more

This has to be one of the worst casino's that I've been to. I don't go to casino's to gamble but rather to see a show. First of all the entire atmosphere had no casino life in it. The smell of cigaret combined with alcohol was unbearable. There was not even a club in here. But they had offered a free concert, it was a performer who I admire very much. He performed longer then when I pay to see him. For that this place gets the extra star. Would I go back here? I would really have to think twice. Went on a quiet Tuesday night looking to play Blackjack. The place was maybe 15% full, and now I know why. $25 was the absolute table minimum for any shoe game in the entire casino. Really? On a Tuesday in Bethlehem, after Musikfest had ended? Way too high. I turned around and walked right out without dropping a dime. Lower the table minimums to anything reasonable (even one table!) and I'll be back. There was a $5 minimum for auto-shuffler stadium game that was basically empty. No thanks. read more

If you really want to see a concert in the event center, be prepared to have your line of sight completely blocked from almost everywhere if you choose the left or right wing seats. Most other seats in this venue are not worth the money! You will be very disappointed with this venue. read more

We stopped by the Sands Friday night to attend the Price is Right Live Show. Before the show we only had limited time so we got something to eat from the food court. We had a burger and Asian food. We both enjoyed what we got to eat and then headed to the show. I was able to get same day tickets at a bargain of only $30 for both tickets and even though I didn't get called up or win anything we both really enjoyed the show and it was very entertaining. After the show we stopped by the Croissanterie to get some coffee and then we headed back over to the casino. Now here is where our night was abruptly cut short... When we entered the over 30 line to get back into the casino the rather young security guard stopped us and asked my 50 year old fiancé for his ID. Unfortunately he had left it in the car and tried to explain that we would need to get back to the parking deck to get it. However the security guard didn't want to hear it and would not let us through. I had my ID but I wasn't asked so I guess I must look elderly since I'm 8 years younger then him. Needless to say I wasn't going to go in the casino without him. Also to point out we both had our name tags on from the show so clearly we had both already gained entry to the casino to begin with. So we had to walk all the way back around the casino in order to leave. Totally turned our great evening into a big disappointment. I really wish I knew why they wanted his ID in the first place since as I said there is no way to think he could be under 21 when he's 50 but I guess I'll never know that answer as we were not provided one. I would hate to think it was some kind of discrimination but I can't honestly think of anything else. So in the future I think we need to reconsider patronizing this establishment and just drive a little further to Parx or Mount Airy since we've never had an issue at either of these Casinos. By all means please feel free to visit and judge for yourself just don't forget your ID. read more

Self parking is a bit of a maze with cars going anyway they feel on the Saturday night I visited the casino. Took my wife and 19 year old son to Emeril Chop House for dinner. Smelled smoke as soon as we entered the elevator bank adjacent to the car port. A flood of memories rushed my brain bringing me back to the bars of my youth; booze and cigarettes. Never was a smoker but love the smell of cigarettes, the taste of booze and the feel of chips. Sands casino hit the trifecta. Getting to the Chop House was a bit of an inconvenience. My 19 year old needed an escort through the casino to the restaurant and his chaperone stayed outside during the meal. After dinner, I took my inaugural walk around the floor. Crowded. Smoky. Loud. Everything a casino should be. Slots ringing with various types of hands pulling levers or pushing buttons. Like all casinos, the slots can depress you. Tables were packed. Good crowd, poorly dressed. I'm not Mr. Blackwell but if your going to play $25 min table games, dress up a bit, no? Poker room was crowded too but there was a bit of humidity that found my nose and settled on my chest. Too crowded to try since my time was short. Played blackjack for about an forty five minutes. Never saw a cocktail waitre(r)(ss) but I'd already knocked back two gin martini s so I wasn't sweating it. At my table, player choice regarding their hand play left a lot to be desired. Your cards are your cards but at $25 a hand, I'd hope the anchor of our table would at least be familiar with basic strategy for blackjack. If he was, he seemed to be implementing the George Costanza "opposite" (good for the salmon) outlook on decision making. Great place for guys to go and play table games. It's an old school experience. If your lucky enough to have that special someone who misses the decadence and self destruction of the 70 & 80's, the Sands is for you. If you know what Kale and sprouts are, stay home and download a casino app. Play virtually with a nice cup of cashew coffee. read more

This review is about the Casino only. This casino is negligent and in violation of the American Disability Act. My family and I went to the casino to celebrate my Dad's birthday. My daughter entered the casino without being asked for I.D. She was 10 days away from being 21. We went directly to the food court and the outlets and remained there (all visible on their cameras). In order to get to the parking garage, we needed to walk through the casino. My daughter was stopped and was not allowed to go through, not even with a security escort. The security guard was rude and insisted that we go out the outlet doors through the parking lot. He did not have any consideration that there were 3 disabled people with us. After I complained about being in violation of the American Disability Act, a security personnel, Brendan, comes to talk to us. He provided us with wheelchairs and an easier way to leave the casino. He also put $100 on our gaming cards. Two weeks later, I receive a citation/summons from the Court of PA in the mail to pay a fine for $202. Apparently, this casino was fined and is passing their mistake and negligence on to us. If their employees had done their jobs, we would not be in this mess. Unless this situation is somehow rectified, I will NOT be attending this casino ever again nor will my family or friends. read more

We arrived at the end of an exhausting day of driving through heavy traffic. When we checked in, our concierge Freddy informed us we were the 'visitors of the day' and we had been upgraded to a suite plus given a goodie bag with snacks and a food voucher. The suite was huge and beautiful with a stunning view of the Lehigh Valley. The casino is fine and the restaurants were a cut above typical casino fare. It sure made our day! 10/10 read more

It's the absolute WORST! Their free play is a joke and their winning moments offers are an insult! Loose over $3k in a night and was given $10 free play each week for a month and 1 winning moment of $50 and a $25 food comp. im here at least 4 times a week and they don't give Jack to loyal card members. Rooms are nice and clean, casino is wonderful with lots of options and winning slots! ate at Emerils Chop House and absolutely superb food and service. Casino isn't safe at this time. Too many people and no social distancing. Disinfecting measures are very subpar. Chips are used by many players making them unsafe. Casino is open 24 hours now and not deep cleaned and disinfected to new Covid19 standards. A player contracted Covid 19 and is now deceased. Would be 2.5 stars... I really had a hard time choosing between 2 and 3 stars, but I have decided to lower my rating. We were on the homestretch of our road trip back to Central Jersey, and since we've heard a lot of hype about this resort, we decided to stop and check this place out. This resort is located off of PA-412, which is also off of I-78. We stopped by during a Sunday afternoon, and finding a parking spot was challenging. But at least we found one, moments after we saw someone pulling out. Well, at least parking in the garage was free. When we got into the elevator to reach the main resort level, we saw some rusty steel poles. It was clear to us that this resort was built in a spot that used to be a factory, and possibly used some old parts of that unit for the construction of this facility. When we got to the main level, I was stopped at the entrance of the casino area by security so they could scan my ID. They did this to me when I entered the casino from the parking area and outlet corridor. So folks, if you are (or appear to be) young, be prepared to be stopped and scanned. When we entered the casino area, we noticed that it was just a bunch of gambling units surrounded by specialty restaurants (including those owned by Emeril Lagasse). We noticed the light fixtures on the ceiling of the casino, which looked quite unique. It was quite smokey here, which wasn't really okay since I'm a non-smoker. We then made our way to the Outlets corridor. You know when you go a casino resort and notice that they carry shops that sell merchandise at mostly exorbitant high prices? Well, here is mostly quite different, considering that this is an Outlet corridor. This small corridor was made up of two floors, and contained shops that sold clothing, shoes, and fashion accessories. A Lenox and kitchen supply store was here too. They even had a Tommy Hilfiger outlet here, which was cool! We actually didn't buy anything here since we found nothing that appealed to us, despite the reasonable prices that were discovered. However, we noticed that two stores definitely didn't fit the outlet criteria. One was the Old Farmer's Almanac General Store. Even though what they had was interesting, they were too expensive. Another one was the Peeps & Company store, which was reviewed separately. They also had a casual food court that served various types of food. We thought about getting some ice cream. When we saw the prices and the brand of ice cream that they served, we were stunned. The brand of the ice cream served was cheap and the prices that they asked for was quite high. Exorbitant prices for cheap ice cream? Forget about it. The restrooms here were very clean. Well, at least now I can say that we've visited this resort and outlet complex. Unless we decide to gamble, or give Emeril Lagasse our money, I don't think we'll be returning. read more

Let me start by saying that I would definitely go back here again. My wife and I both remarked how everyone on the staff that we dealt with was so nice. I think that I was expecting a much splashier looking place because it is a casino resort. The place is pretty plain vanilla, looking nothing like any of the strip hotels in Vegas. That was a disappointment. Our room was nice but more like for a business stay rather than the really nice and inexpensive suites we have had in LV at the Bellagio and Venetian. There was a problem with the safe in our room and the only other room they could offer us was a smoking room. No way! However, they were nice enough o give us a food/beverage comp that was relatively generous as well as to immediately agree to a late checkout on going away day. There is a food court and outlet stores too. We also ate on the premises at both the Carnegie Deli and Emeril's Chop House and neither place blew us away. The casino is reeking of smoke everywhere. More a 3.5 than a 4.0. read more

This place was a great change of pace from the casinos in Atlantic City. Being from Texas, I was a bit spoiled by the gambling options in nearby Louisiana. After relocating to NYC, I often came away disappointed in the offerings in Atlantic City outside of the Borgata. Sands is actually a fairly quick bus ride (a little over 2 hours) from the Port Authority. The space is huge and pretty well kept. Lots of restaurants and a food court, as well as an attached shopping mall. Pretty much looks nicer than everything I've seen in Atlantic City besides the Borgata. Not sure why, but the place is teeming with Asians (especially at the bus waiting area) *shrugs*. Transbridge runs a bus line that's affiliated with Sands for $35 round trip, and you get a $45 slot credit. When I was there the dealers seemed nice/friendly and so were the pit bosses. Would definitely come back if I'm looking to satisfy that gambling itch. read more

Tonight I got lucky and hit $350 on a slot machine and some how between the slot and the bar, I lost the voucher. I went to security and I couldn't give a more glowing review. They were amazing! They helped me to get it all figured out and were able to cancel the voucher and give me the money. One of the security guards even went up to the bar to get my license because I had a broken foot and he knew the walking was killing me. The security team deserves 10 stars!!! Here's an update after a second (daytime) visit. I watched a companion play the machines (until I grew bored and thirsty), and his money went fast, though I saw a lot of cool classic and modern machines. I don't gamble, but I do think machines like Kitty Glitter are cute. The penny machines require a $5 bill, no $1 bills. The redemption machines were working. One consistent thing I have noticed is that the staff is consistently kind, friendly, and helpful. We had very good service in the beautiful wood-walled St James Gate restaurant. Wine selection was borrrrring, but beers were decent. Even on a Thursday afternoon, we still could not find parking until we got to the third level. Crowd was very different, as you would expect, this time very polite retirees mostly. We ate at the food court place, and the avocado sushi was massive and had huge servings of avocado actually wrapped *around* the rolls, something I have never seen. (So much fat, but so delicious!) My parents ordered salad entrees which were large enough for 2 people each and very delicious. The dining area is nice there, not fast-food-ish, thanks god. There are sandwiches, pizza, Asian food, salads and wraps, and probably a few more items there. === I write this as a non-gambler who has spend a LOT more time than most people in casinos, so I look at them sociologically and psychologically, and I do try to enjoy the food and drink and history and other amenities. It has been interesting reading all the coverage locally and watching this casino go up. My father worked in the steel mills for 30 years. So I wanted to get a look. Think red and orange and a really big loud room. The smoking section is in the back where the music bar is, and I really wish this was a non-smoking casino, because I would go there to see bands if not for the smoke, but I am not the target customer. The front lobby is elegant and dark with a nice fountain, and I bought postcards in the giftshop of historic Bethlehem, $1 each for a small postcard, sheesh. The swanky photos of NY-looking gamblers on the website don't match the casual dress of most people there, though the crowd was polite and seemed to be mostly couples. We stopped at Emeril's restaurant for a drink at the bar and witnessed something amazing: the glass shelf above the espresso machine collapsed, smashing bottles and glasses below! The manager joked that at least the ($200+) bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue did not break. Staff rushed to clean it up and quietly picked glass from their hands. I have never seen anything like this, even in my years of restaurant service. I hope the rest of the shelving is better made. Our glass of Seven Sisters white wine was $12 on the menu, but we were charged $12.50, not a large discrepancy of course, but hmmm, check your bill. Emeril's steaks are from $30-42 each, and there are no entrees for vegetarians, so we won't be eating there. The other restaurant is Irish, but it was packed, so we did not go in. I will be visiting during the day next week and will get to look at it when it is not so crowded. I am not able to review the slots, which were getting lots of action, but one large floor can seem football-fieldish, and I wish they had broken it up more for intimacy and maybe kept the lighting darker. (Slots are the most profitable games for a casino.) The neon orange lights do give off the effect of molten steel, but this is not a swanky casino like the Borgata, but I don't think it was going for that. A shuttle bus goes from the casino around Bethlehem, and we saw it go by empty (though it was Friday evening). We would not mind taking it around the South and North sides to test it out. I really do not see this crowd going into other parts of Bethlehem for anything other than a hotel, since that part of the casino is not yet built, but I will be talking to shopkeepers to see if they feel any effects. There is no charge for parking, and all staff I encountered were very nice. read more

We stayed for a couple nights at the resort. We were greeted by smiling faces. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We had dinner the first night at the Urban Kitchen and Chris, our bartender was phenomenal. The rest of the staff were cheerful and accommodating. We had a perfectly prepared ribeye and Chris really went the extra mile to make my martini to my specific request. On night two we dined at The Chophouse, where Dimitri was just as charming and professional. We shared the dry aged, porterhouse which was also perfectly cooked in addition to the best prepared wedge salad I've ever had. Chris demonstrated his impeccable bartending skills by preparing another perfect martini. I must make special mention that the manager personally delivered our entree and was the epitome of professionalism and hospitality. In addition all employees within the casino from the bartenders, security, dealers and housekeeping were courteous, respectful and made us feel completely welcomed. FYI, this review is not biased by the fact that I left the casino a winner both nights of our stay. Lastly, kudos must be given to the valet parking staff. We've stayed here a few times now and cannot stress how great the staff has been. It was the Sands for the first three stay overs and now Wind Creek for our most recent stay back in July. Upon arrival this particular day the staff was having issues with the new computer system. I have zero issue with this having been in their shoes. We missed the opening band for the show we were attending, but in hindsight we could've hit the road earlier instead of cutting it so close. Our stays are always when we've booked tickets for a show, so we are generally one night guests. Every stay, every room, either a two room suite or a regular room have been extremely clean. I have to say we would be more inclined to return for simply gambling but there have never been any incentives as return customers of the hotel to do so. read more

This is a clean, decent casino but their Covid cleanliness is subpar compared to what I experienced recently in Atlantic City - for the table games. The blackjack tables have plexiglass partitions up for 3 players. The dealers did a nice job of putting out a card indicating that a seat/spot is clean or not clean. When a spot needs to be cleaned one of the managers steps out with a towel and spray bottle. That's where things were weak. The managers clearly weren't interested in sanitizing, they probably don't enjoy this extra menial task being given to them. In every case I observed the worker 'half pressing' the trigger to spray a minimal amount of fluid and just swiping the towel across a portion of the plexiglass and the table edge. The seat was hardly touched. The entire process was clearly for appearances only. If Covid is a concern for you and you like playing the table games you may want to pass on Wind Creek for a while. read more

This isn't a very large casino. They do have a nice set up though. All table games are in the center of the main room. The smoking section is on one side of the table games and the non smoking side is on the other. I personally enjoy this casino because there is a small shopping area off the casino. There are several stores including a Coach store, and a perfume store. I'm not a big gambler so it was nice to be able to window shop the stores. I am also a fan of all the dining options. I counted counted at least 5 different sit down restaurants. As a lover of options I appreciated this. My only real complaint is how long it takes to get a drink while playing slots. It took almost 20 min for drinks to come out. read more

I like this place because it's clean and the surrounding area isn't gangsta, so much better than AC.. but at this point, anything is better than AC. The smoke is so bad, it looks like you're walking through a scene in the Friday the 13th, by the water, walking thru the fog, waiting on Jason to slice your throat. You'll never see him coming! - Cocktail waitress service. Yes, you get free drinks when you gamble, but the trick is finding these said servers....they are like hitting a jackpot in this casino.. few and VERY far between. Once you see one, they will have a tray of over 25 pre-made drinks and beer. They are all served in the same clear plastic cups you see at water fountains. Maybe 8oz cups? You then pick the one you want, of course it's not strong at all, tip as you wish, and then try and make your "Free Drink" last for an hour or so until you see this unicorn of a server reappear with a tray of 25+ drinks. Horrible service!! - Table games.. They have them, but good luck getting a seat and finding your favorite game. - Casino Bar. Not the crappy Molten Bar, but the one in the middle of the casino. So, usually, you gamble, you get free drinks as I stated, but not here. You pay for your drinks at this bar whilst you gamble.. I will say, they are priced pretty good - a Irish Car Bomb was $10 and a Malibu Bay Breeze was 6.. I think it was $6, maybe $8, but either way, not bad prices. It goes without saying, that I'll never, EVER set foot back here. My wife and I only came here because we found a good deal at a Marriott close by. I'd rather drive over 2 more hours, spend more on a room and gamble in AC. At least there you know what to expect. Don't waste your time and money here. read more

For all those shoppers out there, sands has a shopping mall on location. There is usually live entertainment during the night as well. The food selection is pretty good also, they have an affordable food court for eating on a budget and fancy places like Emeril ' s Italian table for people who like fine dining. I came into this casino with no expectation and boy did they disappoint. The biggest issue is their lack of proper ventilation (HVAC). The entire casino reeks of smoke and will leave you clothes and hair smelling and your eyes burning (I actually got a splitting headache). The lack of eye candy (when compared to other casinos) is also disappointing. No one came and offered us drink either, which is a norm at other casinos. Emril Lagasse (chef) seems to have thrown up all over this casino as his is the only restaurant (aside from a Chinese noodle spot) that I saw. There's Emril's chophouse, Emril's burgers and more and Emril's Italian. They definitely need a more creative selection of restaurants. The poker area was busier than any area I've seen at other casinos. They have no electronic Roulette machines (with the actual live Roulette) either! Get with the times! Even the drinks whilst playing youi could not find a server to serve you.. ((HIRE more people, DUH)) the drinks served mainly are premade and water/Juice.. Awefuil. Doesn't the security scan people too.. some reall awful characters were always about each time here. The secuity are Paid well. As an Atlantic City enthusiast attending a concert at the Sands on a Sunday, I wasn't impressed. This just didn't seem like the scene to be for twenty, thirty or even forty something's. I can't even count the number of times I was ID'ed going between the market gourmet express and concert venue. I know I wasn't getting any younger and my patience was just getting thinner. The venue itself was decent, but I'd have absolutely no reason to come back otherwise. Please see my separate review on the Event Center. During a lot of my free time before the show, most of the restaurants weren't open. After the show, the market's options were decreasing by the minute with early closing hours. The market gourmet express is another way to say overpriced food court. If I was there to gamble, I could have seen myself happy with the slot options. I have no idea how the payouts or rewards are at the Sands, but the slot variety was decent. With the abundance of casinos now in PA and still in AC, this just isn't a destination spot for me. What can u say about a casino when they all tend to be the same? Well i have come to find out, since i no longer smoke, that they stink. They do have the floor separate between smokin an non-smokin, but the room is totally open so the smell just wafts thru. If u can put up with the smoke smell, fun can be held by all. Just remember no matter what casino u go to take only what u can afford to lose and leave when u lose it, but have fun while ur doin it. The Sands here is kind of nice, i just wish i had more time to spend here. read more

This is a fantastic casino! My friends and I recently came here while we were staying in the area. We're not big gamblers but one of us usually lucks out at the slots so we decided why not? This place is massive. At 11PM (when we arrived), the parking garage was nearly packed full. The inside of the casino is huge with an array of slots, tables, bars, cashiers, etc. The restaurants are on the perimeter of the casino's interior. The shops and hotel are toward the back, along with the entertainment center. After grabbing a bite to eat, we hit the slots. I only won $25 but my friend won $400! They also have employees walking around to make change. You can insert bills $5 and up directly into the machine, rather than being forced to get a card. I typically don't enjoy casinos but this place is very, very nice. read more
