The actual service was good and I appreciate the use of text updates and online booking. Unfortunately they charge you double for shirts sized below 15, OR labeled as SMALL (or unlabeled custom), regardless of the actual size. This took my first bill to almost $100 for a bunch of shirts. They claim this is because their equipment is not made for those sizes but that is not noted on the site. You just find out when they charge you! read more

After my wedding, my naive-self decided to get my two dresses dry cleaned. I dropped off a suit, two wedding dresses, and a dress to be hemmed to the front desk. I specifically told the front desk that I had two wedding dresses that was clearly visible through the clear plastic covering. I asked for the cost and she said it would take 15 minutes. After the wedding, I was extremely busy so I decided not to wait because if it was so costly she would have at least given me an estimate. The discount cards they were handing out mentioned "dresses $13.99" so I figured it shouldn't cost that much. A few days later, I received an email with the receipt and charge to my CC of the dry cleaned suit for $25 which was reasonable. The same day, I also received an email that the dresses were now underway. When I went to check and pick up the dresses over a week later, the front desk had told me that the wedding dresses were $550 for dry cleaning. I was completely flabbergasted. First off, why would I agree to dry cleaning fees that would cost 1/3 of the price of my dresses that I would never wear again. I would have probably taken them elsewhere to get a better quote or NOT dry clean them at all. The front desk (?Jo) told me to email customer service, which I did when I got home. When I emailed customer service regarding the $550 fee for the two dresses, they immediately charged my credit card on file within that hour. How disgusting is that? My dress has been sitting at the dry cleaners for over a week and the moment I sent an email, my card was charged immediately without a response. I picked up my dresses the next day. They eventually responded the next day but with lack of resolution. I had to follow-up multiple times until finally within a week they mentioned possible store credit however I will not be returning. They also never applied the $20 discount for new customers as I have mentioned when I dropped off my items. And still has not credited my credit card that amount as I have emailed customer service. New customers beware! I truly believe it does not take 15 minutes to eyeball two wedding dressings that are in clear coverings to give an estimate. I honestly felt like I was taken advantage of. This was unfair business practice. This company has lack of honesty and integrity and is completely deceptive. I will not be returning and I would strongly advise others not to. read more

When I emailed them about refunding me for the item, they refused and said it was beyond the 24 hour opening policy and threatened to send their legal counsel after me if I left a review??? Do not go here, do not get alterations done here. Truly one of the worst experiences I have ever had. My fiance asked to have a suit jacket sleeve altered. He wanted it slightly taken up at the cuff. We figured this was a simple alternation to shorten the cuff. they took the whole jacket sleeve off the shoulder (without telling us) and now the jacket falls off the shoulder and is horribly resewn so that it ripples on the sleeve. It was a brand new jacket. Unbelievable. I have also asked to speak to management and I am just given an email address to email without hope of anyone responding. read more

I needed to get a dress altered so was looking around Brooklyn. This place seemed great and i loved that i could make an appt to meet with the seamstress. Well i went to said appt, after receiving a confirmation email for the date and time, and when I arrived I was told that the seamstress/tailor isn't here on that day (it was like an hour ago). I was confused and just like um.... ok so like why did someone confirm then? and they proceeded to act like it was weird that i would use the website to make an appt, that the tailor isn't here (which HOW WOULD I KNOW THIS) and then when i kept showing them the confirmation email they proceeded to tell me they didn't know who Taylor was (the name on the email confirmation). So i was already upset but i reigned it in because, like its not this woman's fault but i'm frustrated! And odn't act like its somehow my fault for not just wanting to walk in and not just knowing the seamstress's schedule. So when i said i'll come back on Saturday cna i make an appt at 10AM (when she's there) i was told "oh we don't really make appts you just come in". Like i have things to do, i odn't want to show up and be told that i need to wait or whatever. Why does your website allow for scheduling that isn't confirmed with the location? This is the worst dry cleaner I've ever been to in the 15 years I've lived in New York. Brought in a skirt to have the zipper fixed and it immediately broke on the next wear. I came in to drop off and the woman at the front desk saw that it was not fixed and agreed to comp it. Went to pick up and the story had completely changed and I was asked to email customer service and that they couldn't do anything about it, and that it made sense that I was charged twice. Beyond that experience, all of my clothes have come back slightly damaged and always wrinkled, despite being dry cleaned and pressed. The most incompetent, unprofessional people I've ever crossed. The burnt and discolored my item without offering a refund or an apology. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a business. This is a warning to steer clear with anything of value. I needed my curtains cleaned and selected them because they were convenient and their assurances that they were quite capable of caring for sheer curtains. The curtains came back 3 inches shorter. I was assured that this could be fixed, and they came back again without any change in length and two brown stains that hadn't been there originally. I was asked to show them to the seamstress to see if she could fix them. She offered to add 3 inches of fabric, acknowledging that there would not be a match. They ultimately offered me less than 10% of the original price of the curtains with the proviso that I surrender the curtains, putting me in the position of having to go out relatively quickly and buy replacements. There are plenty of options in the neighborhood. Do yourself a big favor and avoid Wmsbrg Cleaners. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! I took a dress here for my brothers wedding to have a simple hem done, when I got the dress back and tried it on I realized they completely destroyed the dress. They cut the top layer MUCH shorter than the bottom one. When I brought it to their attention I was told yup we made a mistake and it can't be fixed but maybe I would be given store credit and was told to email customer service. I emailed customer service and they told me to bring the dress back to them to "see what they could do" I brought the dress back to them and told them I needed an answer ASAP as the wedding was next week and now I need to over night a dress. Well it has been 4 days and I have yet to get a call or email from the company despite emailing them twice. So not only have I not heard back from them, I had to buy and overnight a new dress with zero money from the company and they still have not given me back the original dress.
