This is their "hem" job
Danielle C.

I had taken a bridesmaid dress here to get hemmed. I came in and they took my measurements and told me it would be ready in a couple days. I asked how much it would cost and they quoted me $50. I felt like this price was a little steep seeing as how they were only taking a couple of inches off the bottom and I usually pay $25 - $30 for this elsewhere but figured maybe they were going to take their time and do a good job so I agreed. I came back on the day they told me and they asked if I could wait 30 minutes because they still needed to steam my dress and it wasn't ready yet. I left and came back, paid the $50 then took my dress home. This is the "hem" job they did on my dress. They literally took a pair of scissors and haphazardly cut off the end of my dress then steamed it and gave it back to me. I COULD HAVE DONE THAT MYSELF!! This place should be ashamed of themselves. They totally ripped me off.

I moved to the area a few months ago and was recommended this place. I've gone there a few times for the wash and fold, this past time my clothes came back snagged. Almost all my pieces came back with pulls and one with holes. I get these clothes are used but I also have had these pieces for years and never had a quality issue while washing them until now. I also know which stains and snags are mine since I wear these all the time and which are not, and these are not. I have a pair of pink Lulu leggings I've had and been washing x1 a month for 5 YEARS with no issues. The store took no responsibility and placed the blame on me for bringing them in already in this condition. The three associates also circled around me screaming at how it's not their fault when I just came to show them what happened to my clothes. No sympathy or responsibility and will not be coming back, and don't recommend others to come either. I'm all for supporting small businesses but the lack of respect and ownership is not professional.

Such a bummer to have to write this. Been going to this dry cleaner for 15 years. Asked them to put a zipper in my jacket. Quoted me $50 which was high but decided to pay it. It was sewn poorly so I asked them to try again or give me a discount. Came back. Still crookedly sewn. Rather than discuss with me it was tough to make it straight and give me a discount, he raised his voice and told me I didn't know what I was talking about and that it was perfectly straight. Upsetting and sad. See photos. I'm sure their business will be fine after this since they're the only dry cleaner around. And they are usually pretty good. There are worse problems in the world, but I wanted them to know that loyal customers should be treated with more respect. Any customers should be respect treated with more respect. Being rude isn't the answer.

zero customer service and nickel and dime you to a point of randomly increasing prices to their discretion and how they feel that day.

Was in a pinch to get a suit ready for a shoot. They were happy to have it back to me by the afternoon. Super friendly and on time!

For years I've been using them. Very nice. They really take the time to make a suit fit right. Without over charge.

Luciana reassured me that everything would get done in time, and continuously provided me with such wonderful service every time I went in. My main dress just needed a simple hem, but my second dress needed to be taken in multiple sizes and was a lace corset. They pulled off a miracle and everything was done perfectly with a week to spare. I found the pricing to be reasonable, even with the rush fee. I am so happy I ended up going to Tailoress!

I am happy to share that I had my wedding dress altered here in at least four different places (the…read morelength and width of the skirt, the back area, and the arms I believe were all taken in). Mine only involved one fitting/consultation and one pick up appointment because my dress was non-traditional and very small, almost like a cocktail dress. That being said, I really appreciated the opportunity to save on the cost of the additional appointment and the woman even tried to talk me out of one of one of the adjustments that she thought I didn't need (to be specific it was the back of the dress near the opening on top). I did it anyway and in total it came out to $226.63. I appreciated the timeliness of the appointments (for the most part) and the easy booking process. The turnaround time for the alteration itself was about 30 days which was just right for me. The shop was pretty busy and it's quite small, but there is seating outside on a small bench and it's in a cute enough area of Williamsburg where you can kick back. My small bit of feedback would be to offer a better, full length mirror in the upper (near the door) fitting room and to offer a restroom. I loved the cute vintage vibes/decor, free matches and stickers VERY much. Thanks for helping me create a beautiful memory!

Without question repaired (I believe they cut entirely new jackets) and mailed them. I couldn't be happier with the quality or the customer service. I'm on the way back to order a couple more sport coats!

They were able to recut my jacket and fix the crooked part and help deliver it to my office. I appreciate the effort in their resolution / believe the jacket was finally cut to the quality that everyone speaks about when it comes to Martin Greenfield. I truly wish the business the best of luck. --------------------------------------------- DO NOT GO HERE. I have NO idea where they got their credibility from because they are scammers and the worst tailors I have ever dealt with. I came here after getting stellar reviews from friends and I regret every dollar I spent here. I bought 2 suits from here for my wedding and not only did they mess up my suit jacket, they continued to pretend they were fixing it when they weren't. I noticed the front edge of my jacket was crooked and I told them about it. They said they could fix it no problem. When I went to pick it up, it looked exactly the same. I asked them to fix it again and their pattern maker said the jacket was cut wrong and he would fix it himself. At this point we are a week away from my wedding because they kept saying they would fix it when they didn't. When I came to pick it up the day before my wedding, they told me they couldn't fix it in time and that after my wedding I could bring it back to get it fixed. I brought it back after my wedding and gave them 3 weeks to fix it. What do you know, AGAIN, they give me the SAME jacket, completely untouched and STILL CROOKED. I had a friend who is a pattern maker look at this jacket and the only way to fix it is to RECUT THE SUIT. Which Martin Greenfield is clearly too cheap to fix his own mistSince then, I have called 3 times which has led me to their front desk person who keeps taking my number down and saying someone will call me. No one calls me back. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT AN ACTUAL CUSTOM SUIT. Go to Enzo Customs in midtown if you're looking for solid guys who won't mess up your suit and then keep tricking you by telling you they'll fix it when they won't. PLEASE SEE PICTURES FOR THE WORST SUIT YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE.
