Support this family business!!! Very nice, knowledgeable and quick service. Be sure to make an appointment ahead of time. Fredy gave me his recommendation based on what would be best for me, and even helped me to avoid unnecessary alterations. I will definitely be back for any tailoring needs in the future! read more

Amazing service! I will definitely return for my tailoring needs. My inseam is 23-24 inches so almost every clothing company doesn't make pants for me. He took my favorite pants up 1 inch and now they're perfect! read more

Had to get a bridesmaid dress taken in and hemmed pretty last minute and had no idea where to go. I read all the reviews, came here and Fredy was great! My alterations were done in a week and the dress looks and fits amazing. Thank you! read more

Unfortunately didn't have the great experience others had. To start, getting this skirt altered was $53.00. It was explained that the reasoning regarding price was due to having to take the zipper out then sew it back in. That's fine, but pricier than anticipated. However, I was most disappointed with the skirt when it was returned to me. There's a black smudge on the skirt which wasn't there previously (as I took it out of brand new plastic wrap when I brought it in). The zipper is also sewn back into the skirt crooked, with slight puckering along it's hem. When paying a higher price for a service I would expect the results to reflect that. It seems my experience is rare, but I wanted to share it anyhow for those who may be considering a similar alteration. read more

Have been coming to Fredy for years. His business has evolved, and he puts definite quality and care into all alterations. Appointments are needed at ALL times, & an online system is used to reserve a place though the week. He does get very busy, and there are specific time slots allotted to your time, so highly recommended to use the time wisely. Measurements can be taken while you are with him, or you can bring samples depending on what the garment is. Usually will take a few days to a week depending on the item type & type of alterations or tailoring needed. It can go a far way to have a tailor, and it goes even further to have one that you can recommend. From slacks to suits, I've had a number of alterations made, and have had custom tailoring, and all done timely. I'll refer you to my tailor. read more

Needed jeans and a suit jacket tailored for a wedding and decided to try out Fredy after seeing the good reviews here. I'm happy to report that he provides quality work at a fair price for his expertise. The jeans were returned fitting just like I asked and his work was so good I almost couldn't tell it apart from the original stitching. Will be returning! read more

This business is open! Tailor Home has done excellent work for me altering like 6 clothing items. They are close and convenient to where I live in Bushwick. read more

Fredy is AMAZING. Do not hesitate. I was a bridesmaid for a wedding and the dress was made to order, purchased online. I ordered a size up from my usual dress size but the dress arrived about two sizes too small. It was too late to return or get another (would take about 3-4 months and the wedding was less 3 months away!!) I was in sheer panic! I was nervous but Fredy made AMAZING alterations and the dress finally zipped!!! Hardly can tell apart from the other bridesmaid dresses. Thanks Fredy! Will be going back to alter another dress soon. read more

Fredy is great! He finished my wedding alteration in 3 weeks and was a fraction of the cost of other places that quoted me for wedding alterations. He's very detail oriented and super helpful. I'll come back for other alteration! read more

I am absolutely shocked that there are good reviews on this tailor. I have gone to this shop before and he had charged a lot for a mediocre rehemming job for some cocktail dresses in the past. Tailoring cost actually more than the dress. My most recent experience with this hack job is the last time I will be coming to this place. Not only did he make a silk bridesmaid dress that was just slightly long, into something ridiculously uneven, it was longer in the front than in the back! I also asked to not cut much and see if it can be rehemmed in a way that can be undone in the case I wear longer heels in the future. Also, I have never in my 39 years seen such terrible unprofessional work where he asked me to come for fitting and measurements twice, only for him to make the dress worse than before. From the side, you can see the dress gradually shorten 2 inches and from the back one side was 2 inches longer than one side. He had also used white thread to rehem the dress when the dress did not have white thread on it! It wasn't a color close to any of the colors on the dress. To not even apologize or offer to undo the work, is inexcusable and he gave some lame excuse about his health. I was there a day before pickup when he asked for a refitting and he could have told me to take the dress back due to his health getting in the way of professional work. To only refund me what I paid is the least he could have done but this actually is causing me more stress as the DAMAGE is already done! read more

A fantastic, personalized experience you can't get from dropping off at any old dry cleaner. Fredy does excellent work and if anything is off (hasn't happened to me) I'm sure he'd make it right. My partner and I both go here and will continue to do so. Excellent work by a true artist/craftsman! read more

He's the man, do it. No leather goods but for everything else this is your new tailor. I just started bringing clothes that didn't fit perfectly or were a little too baggy just to get that custom fit. read more

BUSINESS IS STILL OPEN!! I have been going to Fredy for almost 2 years and he always does an amazing job on my clothes. Whether it's a quick gem or a bigger alteration, I'm always pleased. read more

Fredy has been excellent with tailoring my various clothes over the past two years. Often times, I get alerts that my items are ready days before I was set to pick them up. I was initially apprehensive about essentially going to someone's home for a process that involves taking clothes on/off, but he has always been incredibly friendly, fast, and professional! As a petite person with unique measurements, I need a lot of my clothing hemmed and taken in, so it's great to have a skilled and affordable tailor nearby. When coronavirus restrictions lift and I have to go back to commuting to work, I'll be bringing in plenty more work clothes that need adjustments. read more

Great tailor shop based in bushwick. Open although Yelp is reporting that they are closed.

They are still open! I have trusted Fredy for years. He is kind, quick, and skilled with tailoring!!!!

I took some clothes this summer, Reliable and great work! This place it's open even though Yelp saids close.

Excellent, efficient service. Friendly, kind person. He went above and beyond to do some last minute hemming for a formal lined gown. He charged me accordingly, but considering what others were charging (and requiring 1-2 weeks to do) it was worth it. Don't be surprised or nervous when you see that he doesn't have a storefront - he doesn't need one. He works out of a tiny but tidy space in the back of an apt building and I think it's a huge relief to be able to support a small local business here in the neighborhood. read more

I lived down the street so I initially came here because it was convenient but I continued to visit this tailor because he's great! I've had him tailor a jumpsuit, pants, and a skirt.. all had a quick turn around too! read more

Tailor Home is definitely still open and has saved me many times when I've needed last minute alterations! Fredy does excellent work, is incredibly skilled and meticulous with every detail. I've been going to him for several years now and I trust him completely. Fredy is fast, reliable, and very skilled! I recommend him to everyone! read more

Fredy at Tailor Home has done several alterations for me. He altered my wedding dress a few years ago, and in August 2021, he altered an elaborately beaded bridesmaid's dress for me. He always does excellent work, quickly and affordably. My wife and her sister have also both used this place within the last few months, so they're definitely still open! read more

Geovani is amazing! I have been looking for a tailor in the neighborhood for a while and finally found him. Not only is he precise, he's quick and affordable (3 things you can't find in Brooklyn anymore). I am going to go through my closet and pull out everything I need hemmed or altered now that I know I have someone competent. read more

Fredy was kind, professional and efficient. The pricing is reasonable and he is a skillful tailor.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this business. had an appointment at 3pm, but they were unresponsive. I tried calling and received a text stating that they couldn't take my call and to just text them. Ok fine. Mentioned that was waiting outside, but didn't receive any instructions until 4:02 pm. By the time I left it was already 3:15 pm and walked over to another tailor who was 5 minutes away and was able to take me in without any issues. read more

Fredy is truly talented. He listened to every single one of my requests and clearly paid attention to detail. I came in with multiple items, all of which required tricky alterations. I had nearly lost hope in getting two of my dresses to fit me but Fredy knew exactly what to do in order to make the dresses look like how I wanted them to. He exceeded my expectations. I was so pleased with how my dresses, pants, and top came out. He is gifted, kind, respectful, and very professional. I will only go to him from now on! read more

Easily the best tailor I've used in Brooklyn. Affordable, professional, and high quality work. This place is open and doing great!

I recently bought a suit to have tailored from a different location and needed a rush job for a wedding. I found this shop nearby and inquired about a fitting appointment. I would definitely recommend to anyone that needs to get any type of work done! read more

really nice guy! had two dresses altered and the turn around time was only a week. highly recommend!

Truly the best tailor I've ever had! Service is quick and the finishing is exceptional! I took in a $500 pair of trousers that needed to be hemmed as well as taken in at the waist and Fredy nailed it! I'm obsessed with the way these pants fit me now read more

EXTREMELY INCONSISTENT PRICING. Took a pair of jeans here last week to get the waist taken in, $18 great! Went to a Black Friday sale and bought 3 more of the exact same jeans in the same size, took them to get the exact same thing and was going to charge me $42 for each Jean. Showed him the receipt from the pair of jeans that I hadn't even picked up yet, I EVEN HAD HIM PULL UP THE ORDER IN HIS COMPUTER AND IT READ $18. showed him they were the exact SAME brand and exact SAME size and he kept telling me it was different. This has happened before but I like supporting small businesses. Just makes up prices as he goes. Last time going here. Would not recommend. Do not go here. read more
