It was my first time using a tailor and Fredy was amazing. Everything was on schedule and the dress he altered fit beautifully.

Fredy is great - I've had him take in the waist and thigh for structured trousers and thicker denim and he's done a great job every time. His work is really clean and the turn-around times are quick. Would definitely recommend! Prices are also reasonable. read more

So glad I found Tailor Home. Freddy does great work and is so friendly and service oriented. He's very efficient with fittings and I'm always in and out which is extra helpful with my busy schedule. Freddy has expertly altered pants and curtains for me and I continue to be very happy with the results. read more

Freddy is incredible and a true gem in Brooklyn. I was having the hardest time finding a tailor in Bushwick/East Williamsburg and found Freddy through Yelp. All of the bookings are done online and Freddy sends appointment reminders through text. It was so easy to reschedule and Freddy was super willing to work with my schedule. Thanks for making my bridesmaid dress look great! Would recommend to anyone looking for a skilled tailor. Worth the trip to Bushwick for sure! read more

Freddy was recommended to me by a friend when I needed some alterations on a dress. He was amazing. He was professional, fast and efficient, as well as very skilled. I had a bridesmaid dress that was way too big. Freddy made the necessary alterations to make it fit perfectly. read more

Tailor Home - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I took a long formal dress in to be hemmed (shortened) and when I went to pick it up, all Fredy had done was cut along the chalked line! There were even hints of chalk still left on the dress. Very crude and not at all what I expected for a $48 fee. With a pair of shears, I could have done the job myself! I will be looking for another place for future alterations. read more

Freddy is awesome. He is also very patient. My daughters prom dress was just a bit to long and finding a tailor with reasonable pricing is hard. Although I had to reschedule my appointment he was very accommodating. All this before the dress is finished. Will update you afterwards. He said to give him about two weeks so bare with me. I will update my review with photos once the dress is finished. Update dress is beautiful altered and just to my daughters liking. read more

I had a full suit tailored and was super happy with the results. Quick and efficient neighborhood tailor -- will return!

Fredy is a godsend. I needed a suit tailored for a wedding on a short timeline and he absolutely nailed it. Really friendly, reasonably affordable, and with a super quick turnaround. I'll definitely be back for any future alterations, and would happily refer anyone to his business. Thanks again!! read more

Fredy is AMAZING. This was the first piece I brought to him. I needed a structured mid-calf dress taken in at the waist. I was nervous because I love the existing shape...I spent maybe 15 minutes total with him for the consultation/pinning and pickup. The dress now fits like a glove (this is always daunting as a plus-size) and the turnaround was SO fast. The price was incredibly reasonable as well. I'll definitely be going to Fredy again! read more

Fredy provides great service for a fair price. I had a suit jacket that was too big adjusted to fit and Fredy did an amazing job. He also gave me a great time table for when it would be ready but he was even faster than that! I will definitely come back to get more things adjusted in the future. read more

Great, professional, and efficient service. Really happy with the hem on my bridesmaids dress, with a quick turnaround. Business is open and active! read more

Tailor Home is still open! Yelp is wrong. Went to Fredy for my bridesmaids dress alterations and the job was flawless and quick :)

I've had a pair of pants and a skirt altered here and my boyfriend had several pairs of jeans patched. Fredy is very friendly and professional and did an excellent job on my clothing, a simple taking in of the waist, and my boyfriend was very pleased with his repairs. Highly recommended, will definitely come back. read more

Fredy took in the waist of three pairs of pants, SO FAST. He did a seamless job and he will be my go to from now on.

The best tailor in Buswick Brooklyn is named Fredy! I brought Fredy a very challenging project. I found a vintage 80's suit that was two sizes too large. I asked that we retain the spirit of the 80's style while making a few changes to make the fit a bit more modern. Fredy accepted the challenge and achieved great results. The price for Fredy's work is reasonable. For me it's about service and communication. Fredy will schedule a specific date and time for you to come back to try your suit or shit on. He will text you to confirm and I love it. If you need excellent suit alterations in Bushwick you need to visit Fredy at Tailor Home. I'm not surprised that he's as good as he is. He started as a tailor as a very young man and has worked with custom suit makers in NYC for years. He is now building his own business and I'm happy to support him by bringing him all my suit alterations and shirts that need to be taken in and pants that need a hem. read more

Amazing local tailoring services from a master that has transformed my inexpensive retail into couture. Highly recommended!!

Fredy does exceptional work! He recently altered a leather jacket and it was perfect!

Great Tailor, Great Prices! My roommate used Geovany for some easy tailoring but said he did a good job so I decided to give him a try to take in my Peacoat. The result was a perfect alteration, It looked like it came right off the rack. I will most definitely be going back for any and all of my tailoring needs, even if i move away. read more

Fredy is the best! I've gone to him multiple times to get things hemmed. Highly recommend him if you're a short girl like me and frequently need things shortened - he has a fast turnaround time and really low prices. My roommate and I recently had him take in and shorten our bridesmaids dresses and he did a beautiful job :) read more

Tailor Home - These fit terribly before Fredy fixed them! - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Freddy did a wonderful job on a couple of pairs of pants I had hemmed, as well as a sequin evening gown that I had tailored. He works quickly and is super affordable. I will be back! read more

Best tailor around. Prices are good and work is high end quality. Freddy is also a very paitent and professional guy. Makes sense why his reviews are so good. read more

Good quality, quick service. Had a dress shortened for $32. I mainly came here because I work all day on weekdays and weekends so I don't have time to go to other places that run normal business hours. Weekdays pick up starts at 8pm so it works for me. Even though you get fitted in his kitchen, it didn't takeaway anything for me since I was looking for convenience versus some frou frou experience. The price is comparable to Manhattan in FiDi and Chinatown so it's not a place I'd say that is much cheaper given the location in Bushwick. read more

Fredy altered my suit pants and jacket for a wedding beautifully! He even had it completed 2 days earlier than promised. Very professional and polite. Excellent service and highly recommended! read more

Freddy did a great job making alterations to my wedding dress. He talked through length options with me and made sure I was absolutely comfortable each step of the way. He spent extra time making some changes that I requested, which I really appreciated. He made me feel comfortable / was very respectful while pinning and marking things while I was wearing the dress. He also just made everything easy. He was really mindful of the timing of the wedding while taking into consideration how long each alteration would take - and booking appointments was very easy. Lastly, but certainly not least - it was affordable. So glad I found him! read more

BUSINESS IS STILL OPEN! I needed a dress hemmed for a wedding and Fredy was quick, friendly, and did a great job.

So fast and great service, and a great price! The communication was super easy, and my alterations on a mens suit to be a womans fit were phenomenal read more

I would not recommend this tailor for trousers or shorts. One pair came back damaged and ill fitting and on the other pair each leg was tailored differently. read more

I've been going to Fredy since I founded him in Dec 2016 and each and every time I am impressed with his work. He is professional, courteous and beyond accommodating. I've given him everything from winter coats, pants, and full on cosplay outfits and he has expertly altered them ALL. After an incredibly unprofessional experience with a tailor on Ocean ave near Prospect Park, I am extremely happy to have found Fredy. He truly is a gem. read more

Wonderful place for alterations and super easy to setup an appointment. Just needed my pants hemmed and Fredy did an amazing job. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Fredy did an amazing job on my jumpsuit I requested him to alter. I had to have the pant legs hemmed quite a bit and the sides taken in as well. Very affordable and great service! Fredy was extremely friendly and welcoming! Very fast and efficient. He was able to get my alterations done in less than a week so that I would be able to wear for an event I had coming up the following weekend in Miami. I highly recommend Fredy and his services if you are shopping around for a good tailor. Definitely will be bringing back more pieces, because being 5'1 and with everything I order online being catered to women 5'7 or taller, I will be coming back quite a bit. read more

Fredy is the best tailor in Bushwick and his newer location on Stockholm Street is open by appointment. I've used his business for several alterations and even construction and have never had a complaint. read more

Fredy did an excellent job with shortening my wedding dress! I had emailed several tailors regarding the special hem on my dress, and Fredy was one of the few who promptly responded. He was very professional throughout the process and very accommodating of our schedules, being that we were coming all the way from Long Island. When we brought the dress in for the fitting, he patiently answered all our questions and described exactly what he was going to do in terms of the alterations. I am very pleased with his work and grateful for all that he has done. If I lived closer I would go to him all the time - I highly recommend him! read more

Fredy is god sent. Qualified, quality and quick. The man knows exactly what he's doing and will not lead you astray. Exceptionally affordable, especially for the quality of work. He had my suit straightened up within six days. Just trust him. read more

They did not pay attention to My detail. Then had nerve to rush Me to book an appointment. I agreed to schedule a consultation and they ignored Me after I questioned their contradiction! #Unprofessional read more

Fredy is super friendly and accommodating!! He is also very detail oriented. I highly recommend!

I have been looking for a good tailor everywhere in Brooklyn and Fredy is it. I have taken eight garments to him over the last month and I'm beyond pleased with his work. He is not only efficient, but fast as well - usually less than a week turnaround time. I would trust him to tailor any garment in my closet. read more

I am so happy with Fredy's work!! I needed a heavy, multi-layer winter coat altered, including taking in the waist and removing some pleats -- definitely a complicated job. Fredy was efficient and courteous as he consulted and pinned my coat, and offered helpful information about what he could do and what might look best. He my finished coat early, and I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out!! My coat is now so flattering and his work is very clean. Fredy did an amazing job -- I didn't want to take the coat off! Fredy was also communicative, professional, and kind. I strongly recommend working with him! read more

Fredy did a great job with my dress for my brother's wedding. It is one of those "million different ways" dresses and let's just say none of the million ways were quite working for me. I brought it to Freddie and I was super freaked out because my cellphone battery died and I was standing outside a residential building in bushwick going to a random man I found on the internet--but nothing to be freaked out by! Fredy did a great job!! He told me he would turn it around in 2 weeks, but with my travel schedule we made it 2.5 and he really did such an excellent job. I will be bringing more dresses there in the future. read more
