Unskilled and unreliable I left my wedding dress with Freddy on April 10th, 2017. The dress was lovely but it was a size 4 and I needed a size 2. After the the initial fitting, I went back to try it on and it was still too big. We rescheduled for next month, then the dress was too tight. Next fitting it was better but something was still off. I couldn't figure out what the problem was and the wedding was approaching so I took it home. I called him a week later, after trying the dress on at home, in an unrushed setting, and I realized the problem was the bust not the sides. The bust is a sweetheart design but is covered with a thin layer of lace to the neck so he forgot to alter that part. The bust was a full two inches too big. I sent Freddy a text with photos of the bust with the lace pulled down so that the bust was clearly visible (and clearly too large) and asked him to quickly fix it as the wedding was approaching but Freddy responded via text, "Actually as you know I Already took in on the sides. But as you know it was too tight! That is the reason I took that space back!!" When I responded that the problem was not the sides but the bust, Freddy responded, "Yes I know! But that is not part of my job as we talk in the first fitting". This is completely unacceptable! In the first fitting I asked him to make the dress fit, that was all. The wedding dress was left with him for 2.5 months and still does not fit. Now I will need to find an emergency tailor a week before my wedding. I cannot recommend Freddy's services; save yourself some grief and long car rides out to Bushwick and find a skilled tailor. read more

Fredy is amazing! I needed a bridesmaid dress completely altered in a short amount of time. The dress was about 2 sizes too big, too long, and the chest part could cover a car. Surprisingly, the price was super low to my standards ( I was expecting to pay at least $200 since that's what two other locations quoted me). He then told me it would be done by Friday evening. I brought a bridesmaid's dress here for some alterations - shortening the hem and taking in the bust. Fredy did excellent work - it fits like a glove. Whole thing took me about a week and was about a third of the cost of what had been quoted to me by tailors in Manhattan.
