Nightmare 24 Providers. I wish my issue would have been resolved but instead, I have to make this known. After being a steady repeat client for some time, I recently had a full custom suit and expensive suit jacket ruined by it going through the regular laundry. There was fault on both parties not identifying them prior. I didn't ask for anything outrageous, only some modest compensation to go towards replacing the items. Instead I was told that they don't feel responsible. However if it were a big rug thrown in, they would surely notice and charge accordingly. They also had stand in replacement workers that day who didn't notice. They replaced another individuals item in the past in a similar situation. But clearly I'm not worthy of anything other than a credit for future services in the amount of less than 10% of my loss. I work in a service based industry and I don't accept lack of accountability and spitting in the face of people who support a business. This overpriced place isn't worth the time or consideration of anyone who cares for others, because they simply don't. Stay away. read more

No thank you. I've had many different cleaning services that I've used for my laundry and this company takes the bottom barrel prize. Indifferent service off to start made me feel like they didnt care about or need my business. The clothes were not done at the time they were supposed to be, and the overpriced rate matched the poorly laundered and folded clothes. One of my shirts got a rip in it and they told me it was not done by their actions or machines. My mistake, it must have magically appeared. read more

Long-time customer treated to expletives, lies, and the middle finger by the owner. Read on for more! At first I used to get my dry cleaning done here because it was the closest dry cleaners to my apartment. Then, as I encountered problems getting packages delivered to my apartment, I sent them here to pick up for $2 a pop. I didn't do my regular wash and fold here because there was a place down the street, closer to my apartment, that did it cheaper. When that place shuttered, I transferred my business to Dream 24. Over the years I have easily spent thousands of dollars here on the three different services. It was never perfect -- clothes have been ruined or lost despite my handling instructions and packages sometimes took a day for them to inventory even after they had been delivered -- but I put up with it because at the time it was my only option, and as my options grew I stuck to what I knew. (No more!) Today I came to drop off some dry cleaning and to pick up a FedEx package. The owner (see picture for his glam shot) told me that FedEx had **not yet come** and I should check back later. I was confused because their tracking system said it had been delivered over an hour ago. I really wanted my package because I made a special trip to get it and didn't have time to come back before they closed. Once in a while during very busy times like Christmas (it's late January), there will be lots of packages and they'll say that they need a few hours to inventory all of the deliveries. Fair, and totally understandable, especially when they communicate that clearly. But today I was told that the FedEx truck had **not yet come**, and quote, "Not my problem. Call FedEx." Okay, Miss Congeniality. I stepped outside and called FedEx, who insisted that the package had indeed been delivered. When I came back in and relayed that message with the FedEx rep still on the phone, what do you know? After a literal 5 second search, there it was. I said to the owner, calmly but firmly: "Please don't tell me that FedEx hasn't come when they already have. Please don't lie to me." He erupted. Full on volcano. You would have thought I pushed his mother in front of a bus the way he was screaming at me. No apologies, just instant and meaningless defensiveness. "Fuck you, man!" he kept yelling over and over again. I can totally understand that they may not have taken inventory of my package by the time I arrived. Shit happens. But to a) not search for it upon my arrival, b) lie to me about FedEx having come for the day, and c) scream at me when I call them out on it? That's unacceptable. I asked for my clothes back (because duh, I'm not letting you anywhere near my stuff with that attitude) and let him get the last of his expletives out while he found them before I left this place for good. Some people are just too proud to provide half decent customer service and/or own up to their mistakes, and to show you all how proud he is, please view the lovely photos I snapped of him waving thousands of dollars of client business away with his middle finger. It's 2019 now and I'll use FlyCleaners and Amazon locker (which is free!) instead. All 3 major couriers also allow you to e-sign for packages ahead of time, which I'll be taking them up on now. Mixed stuff with them. We are staying in an air bnb without a washer and dryer. Since we are staying for 8 nights she has an arrangement with this business so guests can drop off laundry. I called them and they said the owner had an account but not credit card so we'd have to pay. She called and straightened it out but the guy still acted confused when I picked up. There is a minimum charge of $11 which I didn't know. They have a sign in the window offering a discount for first time customers. I asked for it and the guy waiting on me got flustered and had to check with a co-worker before honoring it. They do have unscented detergent (they call it organic) and charge extra not to have have your clothes stink. There was also someone's stray sock in our clothes. read more

This is my first ever yelp review. I went to get a couple shirts dry cleaned here. When I retrieved them, they REAKED of body odor. I can confirm they didn't even mildly smell of body odor when I brought them in. Not only that, they definitely were not thoroughly cleaned. Not sure why this happened. Ending up hand washing the shirts after paying to get them dry cleaned, and the smell STILL isn't out. Disappointed and not getting something dry cleaned here again. read more

DO NOT TAILOR CLOTHING HERE or trust this business with anything of importance. I am now out a dress I loved and $100 - the cost of the dress the unskilled tailor ruined, as well as it's replacement- (Assuming the store still has my size, they are looking into ordering it). It was a simple hem- the front is fine-- the back is unbelievably short, and too tight where she made the hem. I wondered why she didn't pin the whole thing as opposed to just marking the front with a single safety pin when it was fitted, but unfortunately this was not a tailor I could trust. It didn't occur to me she was being lazy. The dress also is stretchy, yet the hem where she sewed is not, it's too tight where she hemmed it. I brought it to another tailor after who explained she should have used a different machine with a double needle- which is why it doesn't fit properly (in addition to being hemmed too short in back) and if she knew she didn't have that type of machine, she should have refused the job. When I asked to get contact info (professional email or phone number) for the owner to talk about potentially being reimbursed, I was met with odd defensiveness, dismissiveness, and told "he's a very busy man." I'm a very busy woman. Even busier now that I had to see another tailor in the hopes of salvaging this mess (he could not). I no longer trust this business, nor do I appreciate the way this was handled. Supposedly I will hear from the owner who's contact information was top secret, but given that he is pictured in another review literally giving another customer the middle finger, I'm not holding my breath. I recently moved into the neighborhood and was looking for a last-minute dry cleaner before the Thanksgiving holiday. It's on the other side of the street as my apartment so I decided to give it a go and the experience was pretty good. I brought it in on the Monday night before Thanksgiving, hoping they would be able to get it to me before I left on Thanksgiving day. The gentleman at the register asked if Friday was OK to get it back and after I explained that I needed it before Thanksgiving (and considering they were closed on Wednesday) he expressed dry cleaned it without charging me so I could get it the next day, Tuesday. To dry clean my suit jacket, suit pants, and dress shirt, it was about $16. I was happy with the way my suit turned out - nothing damaged or stained, in fact, it looked good. Worth noting there is a $15 minimum on all credit card transactions or you have to use cash. The space itself is pretty small, but if you're just dropping your clothes off, that shouldn't matter. Open until 8:30pm on the weekdays. I'm glad I found a nice place so close to my apartment - going to get a couple winter coats dry cleaned here before the winter really kicks in. read more

You're better off washing your clothes in a puddle. I was trying to get two dresses dry-cleaned a week before a wedding. When I came to pick up, I discovered that not only were the stains not removed, but new ones appeared. After I pointed this out to a guy at the counter, he became aggravated with me and said that he would "re-do for free" which of course should go without saying. I complained that now I was stuck in a situation when I have nothing to wear to a wedding. He got even more aggressive, then brushed me off saying I'm already giving you a free re-do and still charged me $10 each item for a new order. I understand mistakes happen, but to be so rude to a customer without making any effort to amend the situation is plain ignorant. I hope they go out of business. read more

Not usually one to write a yelp review but... do yourself a favor and avoid this place. They lost an one of the items we brought in--OK fine I get that this happens at dry cleaners. After we explained the situation, they said it was impossible that they lost it and that this has never happened (lolz). Not only did they not agree to reimburse/credit us for the lost item, they refused to accept dry cleaning we had brought with us. With so many other options in the neighborhood, your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

This place has the essentials for doing your own laundry, so if that's all you're looking for - 3.5 stars (it's pretty cramped). Its a super cramped place with very nice mostly mexican workers slaving away all day. The dry cleaning is sent away - you are much better served to go a few block to diaz on Driggs and s.4th for that. You won't be all angsty with the results. The postal part is relieable but overpriced. Its sort of a typical crummy-WIlliamsburg overpriced-williamsburg scenario brought on by The Rent Game; they have to overcharge to cover the inflated rent, but their space is shabby for what they pay. I had asked my neighbors where a good place was to do laundry and they all told me about this spot. I went to check it out and I refuse to go anywhere else. JS is always clean and the machines work great! I've taken my stuff to be dry-cleaned and the price is awesome. I never had any complaints about the service or quality. I own a hair salon and after covid, several local laundry services had closed permanently including the one I had been using for years. This was of course very sad, but the guys at Dream have been a life saver ever since. We have significantly more laundry daily due to the safety needs, and they are very reliable and efficient as well as friendly. They pick up and deliver on bike in rain or shine, which is both fun and environmentally conscious. We love them and can't operate without them! read more

I had been using this cleaner for a few months and haven't had any issues until recently. I dropped off a few shirts and a tan pencil skirt. The shirts looked fine but the skirt was another story. It looks ironed but on the back it was still dirty and had black lint all over it. The real issue was the giant safety pins stuck through it to hold it onto the hanger. So now it has 4 wholes in it at the waist. Took it back and they said they will fix it. I asked when i could expect it and he said a few days. So you ruined my skirt and you are going to take your time fixing it? Not good costumer service. Will update post when i receive it. Never going back! read more

I want to like this place: It's the closest laundromat to my house by far and they are giving 25% off right now. A winning combo? No way. The level of flippant, dramatic incompetence that I and my roommates have experienced at this place could only be approximated if we had asked an ill-trained gibbon to perform the same task. My least perturbed roommate has "only" lost a towel. Another roommate has found his shirts unimproved by the addition of red stains at "artistic" locations--everywhere. I walked in today to find someone else's laundry in my bag and staff that seemed not to think that was a big deal. Go somewhere else. read more

Let's just get one thing clear right away: I am only reviewing the postal service, which has been excellent, they never lost a package and it is a pretty good deal $2 to receive. Nice guys. As for the Laundry part: I have used the big machine once or twice, since I own my own washing machine, I do my own washing. To all the people who have their clothes dry cleaned, STOP doing it. Stop buying clothes that need to be dry cleaned, it is bad for the environment and your wallet. (I guess the only exception would be suits or large wool coats.) Hand wash is the way to go. Line dry, too. Clothes will dry if you hang them up. You don't need a dryer. I got rid of my dryer. Also bad for the environment. Again, the Postal service, these guys are great !I I use them ALL the time to receive packages and depend on them 100%. They run a good business, thank fully, since the local USPS, Willamsburg Station is not up to the task. read more
