We tried it out to wash a bulky item. The staff was harried and rude both on drop-off and pick-up. I hadn't encountered that in a while. Also, their website feels needlessly convoluted. I liked the pricing, compared to other cleaners, and they did deliver on their 24 hour promise, so it might be worth it for that alone? Maybe? But the item came out --- fine? It is not worth the walk for us, so I doubt I'll be eschewing my local cleaners to return, but glad I tried something new. There is not a cash tip jar, we were asked to tip on the screen like I was ordering a specialty coffee item. Confused everyone I was with. Not appropriate for this kind of business. You can tailor your wash by choosing specific temperature settings and rinsing cycles and I especially appreciate how they promptly call or text with questions or updates on my order. A couple of months into using their services, they sent me an invitation to their new delivery option. I am pleased to say I have never looked back! I live more than two neighborhoods away and used to drop off my clothes on my way to work. With a flat-rate delivery fee this new option is a delightful surprise, especially considering the distance. The attention to detail is like no other drop-off service--they even separate our socks and undergarments into a separate bag, making putting our clothes away effortless! Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Sure the space looks cute from the outside but they have some of the rudest and most disrespectful staff I've ever met. From a couple online reviews as well as at first glance this place doesn't state that it's just a drop off laundromat anywhere at the actual location, which is extremely confusing. And while making this very understandable mistake, me and my boyfriend were rudely yelled at and questioned as if drying your clothes is an insane thing to try and do. Not going to lie, everything was excellent except for when I was being rung at the register before I received the service. I was asked, "would you like to tip," and I noticed the tip jar. I know this divides people, but it really got me thinking. Is the register tip jar for the person ringing me up? Does this person also help with the actual laundry? Is the money from the tip jar also being shared with others in the back? Are they not getting a living wage? This all goes back to- "where do we draw the line with tips?" They left out a pair of shorts, which I was lucky to catch. The same register person said, "is that all that's missing?" I said, "yes," because I honestly don't keep track of what I dropped off, and I just happened to remember the shorts. The shorts were found right away and delivered, so I really appreciate that. The clothes came back great, turn around time impressive. Call me cheap, but that tip comment just really turned me off, since I was dropping off and picking up myself. So I found them on Apple Maps (don't worry-they are open every day) and decided to give a chance because of such high ratings. They did not disappoint; you drop off your laundry and they do it. You have choices of extras like vinegar rinse, water temp, soil level, and even fragrance added to keep clothes fresh. This is the cleanest my clothes have been in a long time. I think I'd rather just have them do it than trying to bother myself with it. Oh and the price was reasonable-over 15 pounds with a coat and shoes in the batch as well; the cost was only $36 and some change; ready next day (but you can do same day). The only problem I had was with one driver before who refused to come upstairs to pick up the five bags of laundry I packed(this company uses uber drivers to pick up and deliver). The laundry is on the pricey side but the dryer costs almost nothing so it compensates. They offered a complimentary free wash for the first time customer with a free detergent, I was like why not :) And it is worth trying. The place is clean, nice ambiance, friendly & very helpful staffs ,and it takes you around 30 - 40 mins to do whole laundry. The laundry starts with $7 for washing & $0.50 for drying , which a bit pricey than a regular laundromat, but it comes with fully functional like pre -wash the machine every single time before you use it. They showed us their energy efficient machines and the deck, which was made by hand by themselves. The cafe was fabulous. The coffee was very good and highly recommended. The croissant tasted like butter and it was great to hear that Saraghina supports this establishment. They also collect old clothing, which promotes the zero waste life style. It was great to learn more about zero-waste through Corinna and Theresa. OMG they are amazing!!!! I had major surgery and couldn't physically do my laundry. I set up a pickup and dropoff time. Can I just say my clothing came back folded like an oragami artwork? I don't typically photograph my underwear and send to friends and family but this was frameable!!! My clothes came back fresh and soft. Further, when I called with a question about the delivery the manager called me in 60 seconds flat. Oh and did I mention the handwritten (yes you read that right, handwritten) thank you note that came back with my origami artwork aka my clothing? I am completely floored by the customer service and quality. They also have amazing add ons, vinegar rinse etc. unbelievable (in a great way:). The most beautiful, pleasant laundry experience. The place is clean and spacious with high ceilings, natural light and plants. Its run by two sisters and this is their first location. They will 100% have so many more one day based off of how great this place is. There are lots of state of the art eco friendly machines that wash your clothes in 15 minutes and dry in 15 minutes! What!? They give you organic lavender or scent less laundry detergent to use and gave me the first wash for free! Also if you want to work while here they have WiFi and a cafe upstairs so no time is wasted just hanging around. Great place. Will be a returning customer. While this place might be a little more pricey than your average laundromat, it's definitely worth it for the cleanliness, customer service and chemical free free detergent. We came here today for the first time and were told that the first wash and dry was on them! How wonderful! Machines are brand new and have many different settings available. What's great is that before you use a machine you can set it to rinse the machine so that there is no contamination with the detergent used in the previous cycle. Definitely great for people with laundry sensitivities! Cafe upstairs had great coffee (this coming from my boyfriend who owns a coffee shop). Didn't get to try the food, but looks fresh! I tried it once and then went back to my old place because I felt the prices were too high BUT, after doing the math they are not! After returning to the typical laundromat for one more time I went back to Celsious and I haven't used any other place since then. The modern washers extract much more water in the spin cycle and their modern dryers dry quickly. I can typically dry my clothes in 15 to 20 minutes even with towels it's never more than 25 minutes. At the regular laundry my clothes bake for 45+ minutes before they're dry! The money saved on detergent, which Celsious provides at no additional cost and the money saved on drying time, it comes out to very similar pricing. The washer is quicker also. More importantly my clothes are cleaner and the environment is much nicer. The machines in the other places are ancient and dirty looking. I despise doing laundry, but this place makes it bearable, almost fun. They have a wonderful place for folding your clothes and they even provide a cool manual t-shirt folding board which is cool for the OCD Among Us. My t-shirts look like they just came from the store. They also have great employees, a cafe, and an outdoor seating area. If you like, the machines will text you when your clothes are done. It's just about enough time to walk to 16 Handles and back :-) if you really hate doing laundry, they also offer a premium Wash and Fold. Again, it's more expensive than the nasty place down the street, but the few times I've used it, my clothes came back much neater, smelling better, and cleaner compared to any other wash and fold. This is honestly my favorite PLACE (not just laundromat) in Williamsburg. After a year of dreading doing laundry in Manhattan, and waiting until the last possible day (when I ran out of clean underwear) I moved to Williamsburg and tried Celsious. I actually come here when I'm having a bad day, because I leave feeling relaxed and happy. I didn't know that was possible for a laundromat, but they did it! Their detergents are all natural and come with your wash (I always use lavender :] ) The machines are super clean and fast. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I always feel welcome. I don't know about you, but I don't clean my winter gear very often because of the price to dry clean and I'm afraid I might accidentally ruin my jackets. So when I walked in to Celsious and was blown away by their modern and clean space with a nice quiet cafe, I was relieved to find out they could also help me wash my winter gear safely and without chemicals! With some guidance from the staff, I learned that the machines have different settings for a variety of specialty items. For my long puffy coat all I needed was 30 minutes on the "DOWN" setting for only $11 which included their chemical-free detergent. I'm often allergic to some detergents so this was a huge plus! Then, since their machines squeeze the majority of the moisture out, drying time was only 15 minutes for 50¢! I opted to rent scented dryer balls (for $1) with natural lavender to add to my dry cycle. My coat turned out clean and smelling fresh for under 13 bux! I'll never dry clean again! The staff is friendly and so helpful. The place is spotless and the machines are new. The cafe is awesome and perfect for getting some work done whilst you wash. It is a little bit pricey just to do your laundry, but the experience is definitely above what you can find at a regular laundromat.
