There is an ATM and a change machine, and they also sell detergents, fabric softeners, dryer sheets, etc. As such, it is a very forgiving environment if you forget to bring something. Sometimes, when I'm feeling lazy, or the laundry has piled up into a mountain, I'll bring it in for a full-service laundering. They always do an A+ job, and I am so grateful to them for taking the time to fold my clothes, pair my socks, and do whatever they do with those darn fitted sheets. Keep up the great work!

I was a loyal customer of San Toy for years and always thought they did an adequate enough job, although the store is dusty and my clothes would often return smelling musty as well. A couple weeks ago, I bought them a vintage Versace striped shirt that had some very minor ink bleeding in a few spots. I asked the man who generally works in the front if, in his professional opinion, this could be fixed and he said they would give it a try. When I came to pick it up a few days later, they had completely and utterly ruined the shirt. What had been some minor bleeding in a couple discrete spots was now all over the shirt rendering it, a completely irreplaceable item, totally unwearable. While he offered to "try again," I no longer trusted them and instead, found a higher end, designer-focussed dry cleaner to see if they could possibly fix what San Toy had done. As any good business should, they assessed the shirt and let me know that it was, unfortunately, unfixable and any further work would only make the bleeding worse. I then brought the shirt back to San Toy as I believed I should be compensated for them having ruined the item. I personally think they should have offered to pay for the entire cost of the shirt, but I would have accepted pretty much anything as a gesture of good will. I walked in to calmly speak about this with the man in the front and who, as I mentioned, I have brought clothes to for years. He immediately flew of the handle, yelling at me to bring it back to the store (I told him it was a vintage piece from The Real Real so there was no store), that there was no way he would pay me a dime, that I could pay HIM to try again (LOL!) and then ultimately started screaming repeatedly, "TAKE ME TO COURT I DON'T CARE!" I am flabbergasted not only by San Toy's hack dry cleaning but also by their lack of accountability and care for their customers. There's a zillion dry cleaners in Park Slope and I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. This place sucks.

While the prices have increased slightly (like everything else in the neighborhood), the service they provide is still well worth the price. Timeliness: same day laundry if you drop off in the morning; 2-3 days for dry cleaning. Prices: I don't agree at all with the statements by other reviewers about feeling cheated. In fact, they weigh your laundry in front of you, state out loud the weight they see (so you can dispute if necessary), and then print the receipt so you know what to expect. Other services: They have also sent out a fur coat of mine to be cleaned, as well as taken small mending (ripped seams, dropped hems) for around $10/piece. Summary: kind people, great laundry.

No apologies, no discount, nothing. Just general indifference. There have been instances before when I dropped off laundry, asked it to be washed with Free & Clear, and they used a regular laundry detergent anyway. It happened at least twice. It's just a general lack of caring from staff that are probably underpaid and overworked. Overall, consistently below average customer experience. As enjoyable as going to the DMV.
