Updating my review- business just got back to me and found my lost laundry-bag and offered to drop it off. Thanks Laundrybz! Wish I could give less stars. So expensive which would be fine (it is SO nice to have someone pick up and drop off your laundry!) if they hadn't botched every job! The first time i used Laundrybz I noticed a tank top missing but since it was possible that I misplaced it somewhere else I tried them a second time. The second time they lost my laundry bag, which unfortunately wasn't cheap. After my second email inquiring as to the possible whereabouts of my laundry bag they stopped responding completely. Created an account to get delivery info. My confirmation email included my password IN PLAIN TEXT. This means that laundry.bz is storing all passwords, unencrypted, in a database somewhere. After this, I certainly wouldn't trust them with credit card info, but if nothing else, be sure to use a throwaway password for the site (I was lucky that I did). read more

these guys are terrible. Tried them a few times.....never arrive when they say they will - always early or late. Their delivery guy had to be told a million times which button to push (even though it was clearly labeled he kept ringing our neighbors) and they payment system is terrible. Your credit card info is never saved and they make you pay before delivery (i.e. if you forget to or at work - they will literally not hand you your laundry until you go all the way back up to your apartment and pay online and then have to come back down to get your laundry) - really nasty attitudes - skip it! read more

I got exactly ...NOTHIN' As Hailey says below - they don't map out their business territory and instead, they have an auto-responder on the sign-up page that tells you that everything was processed, but when you find yourself sitting by the phone/door/computer - they don't respond with even a courtesy call/note.....bad bad bad customer service followup .. I just moved to Park slope, and live near 5th and 7th, so I was at a loss as to where I'd find a decent laundromat. A&P is a hellhole, the local wash and folds have like a 2-3 day turnaround, and everyplace else is just too far to walk. My google searches finally led me to the shady-ass looking website of laundry.bz. I thought it was either a scam, or some sort of industrial laundry service that launders uniforms and aprons and stuff for restaurants. However, after checking yelp.com on a hunch, I was able to confirm that it was neither. I selected my three pick up and delivery times, got an email that same night saying when they'd come, and sure enough . . a guy came in the morning to pick-up. That same night, they emailed me a price for everything, I paid with my credit card online, and I got my clothes delivered to my door the very next morning. If you get a head start on scheduling, it is possible to get same-day service, but I would do it a day or two ahead of time rather than the night before. Highly recommended!!! I will definitely be using these guys from now on as it's completely hassle free and well . . they do a better job of folding my clothes than I do. ;) read more

I need to downgrade...upon first arriving in NYC this biz was the bomb, but after further though it's not really THAT awesome. It's good. Of course. But, having to schedule an hour time slot on both ends for pick up and delivery, pay cash (you run a website service, credit cards shouldn't be THAT hard!) and the guy doesn't even come up the stairs to drop off or pick up? I recieved an e-mail 10 minutes later saying that they don't come this far. Please either 1) put a map of where your service goes to save me the trouble of trying to figure out 6 times during the morning/evening I'll actually be home or 2) Take Prospect Heights off! I'm like 4 avenues away from Park Slope which isn't even much walking, so it's really nothing DRIVING, you know? I've been washing my bedding and towels through Laundry.bz for over a year now and the service is really great. While I was initially kind of nervous about the online booking and payment process, my experiences with them have been nothing but solid. I also like that they have been working regularly to improve their service by adding new drivers and making their pickup/drop-off windows even more flexible than they already were. I've used them about 1-2 times per month, and they have always been on-time. The laundry also comes out great! Everything feels so clean, and is folded with care. On their website, you can choose from a lot of different detergents (including hypoallergenic and organic) and specify other washing and drying preferences. They do seem to adhere to these preferences. I'm really happy I gave this service a try and I highly recommend it. I guess the price is a little bit higher than drop-off places, but life in the city already has so many moving parts without adding me carrying a 20lb sack of laundry down the street in heels to the mix. And then rushing home early from work to retrieve this sack. I truly appreciate the simplicity of dirty laundry disappearing and clean laundry reappearing at my doorstep, and I think you will too. read more

For a couple of months, I had been working 15+ hour a day, 7 days a week. (Yeah..I need to consider a career change). Finding time for laundry during these times can be difficult... so I was very excited about the Groupon offer for this place - $10 for $30 of laundry service - pick up and drop off - in my area (Boerum Hill)! I had a bit of a rough start with these guys... On their website, they offer an hourly range for pick up/drop off on weekdays from 6a - 10a and from 7p-11p. When I requested for pick up prior to 9a, I found out this option was NOT actually available!! I was a bit frustrated with the false advertising which had led me to purchase this Groupon. After a bunch of emails back and forth, I had no other option than to ask if my roommate would be available one night for my laundry. Throughout all this, customer service was always responsive. Sometimes they did come off a little impatient...but it is email. The pick-up and drop-off went pretty smoothly. They picked up within the hour arranged and dropped-off my laundry slightly later than scheduled. I appreciate that they call you a couple of minutes before the driver actually reaches your door, which is helpful. They also email you the weight and price of your laundry before drop-off. I had a Groupon so I presented that at drop-off; however, they do prefer that you present this at pick-up. Customer service, again, was able to help with that and they communicated this to the driver within an hour. I had three bags of laundry, each with different wash options (cold wash, hot wash, cold wash + do not dry). I was afraid they would mess it up or miss my notes and ruin my clothes, but my do-not-dry load actually came back not dried! They even folded my wet clothes! I am a huge fan of the wash/dry/fold service. Also, for your nice socks, they fold it and do not stretch it, so they don't ruin the elasticity! I'm a licensed massage therapist who has a TON of sheets to do (as well as regular clothes to wash) and have tried Laundry Biz out for the past month for a few pick up/deliveries. They have been great. They don't charge extra for all my sheets. Quick to e-mail back about questions or order confirmations. Everything had been cleaned and folded - oh - so - nicely! I'm only taking a star off because I too am weirded out that they don't have a contact phone number. This place is amazing. My family prefers to use the detergent pods because of sensitive skin, and this place always uses them. The clothes smell as wonderful as when I do laundry in a home machine. I have used all the drop laundry places on 7th ave, and they never smell like my detergent or dryer sheets. I can instantly tell that this place follows my laundry directions. I fell in love with my apartment upon first sight. I was looking through rose-colored glasses, however. It's beautiful and the neighborhood is beautiful. I remember telling my broker gleefully, "oh it's okay that there's no washer or dryer in the building, there's a laundromat right on the corner!" What the H- E- double hockey sticks was I thinking? I live on the third floor of a walk up and lugging my heavy laundry to "right on the corner" (which is at the end of a long block) for the past eight months has been killing me. I hate doing laundry so much that I have actually bought clothes in lieu of doing laundry. Yup. That was until I found laundry bz!!!!! I signed up online, picked a time and day for both pick-up and delivery. They picked up my 27 lbs. of laundry the next morning before work, and they delivered it two nights later. It could've been delivered the same day, but I had something to do. It arrived smelling fresh, looking clean and folded in tiny little squares. Those tiny squares inspired me to reorganize my dresser drawers. No kidding. 27 lbs. cost me $34. I had a whole bunch of sheets, towels, clothes and two bathroom rugs washed. Nothing shrunk. My drawers are no longer a wreck. My clothes are clean. YAY! The only thing that weirds me out about them is that they don't have a phone number. They communicate very well via email, however. Despite their claim that they service Prospect Heights I got a "Sorry we don't service there due to parking difficulty" email. This is after I went through the detailed order screen with the first, second and third date/time choices. I called and someone told me he'd try to get in touch with the sender and that I'd hear back in half an hour. An hour later I called again and was told that the truck won't go around Grand Army Plaza Circle and that they can't list "every street they don't service." I have to wonder if this is the standard response they give to people with the wrong zip code. Is this a case of false advertising? read more

So I've been using them for a few years, and have never had any issues. Clothes always clean, they're always on time, the price is consistent, delivery kind. Two weeks ago I accidentally put an air dry cashmere sweater in without marking it. They returned it to me in a separate bag marked "air dry" rather than sending me home a ruined sweater. I got my e-mail bill today and it said: "Note, we found $44 in a pocket" and then they didn't charge me for the laundry, because it too was $44. They FOUND money in my pocket, told me about it, and made sure it was returned to me. I've always been a fan, but I don't think I'd even consider using another company after this month. We just had our first round at this laundry service. I called beforehand and spoke with Sofia on the on phone and she was very friendly and helpful. We used the pickup and delivery service - both were on time. The clothes were returned perfectly sorted, folded, and smelling fresh! You get to choose from one of several detergents. It is pricey ($1.30/lb), but the clothes were washed and folded with care. They even separated a few sweaters we had that were hand wash only, even though we [...my husband...] completely forgot they had special wash instructions and just accidentally threw them in with everything else. Timely, efficient, and good service. If they're going to be late, which is rare, they actually call. They don't just leave you hanging. The delivery man is quick and friendly. They provide free low heat drying if you ask for it, which in my experience they usually stick to. I've had many clothes destroyed by other services but not these guys. I recently moved from Chicago to Brooklyn. In Chicago my laundry was in the basement of my building and I lived on the 12th floor (there was an elevator) so I thought, what's the big deal if I move to Brooklyn and have to walk a few blocks. Well, I thought wrong. I did a little research and found laundry.bz. I am kind of picky about how my laundry is done -- I only like certain things dried -- so I was nervous about letting some people I didn't know do it. I am definitely not worried now. Laundry.bz was supposed to pick up and drop off between 7pm and 8pm -- they came at like 7:10 on both days. Plus, they called to let me know when the driver was near. My clothes came neatly folded and smelling fresh.Seriously my sheets are even a perfectly folded flat square. And, they didn't dry any of the things I asked them not to, all I had to do was put them another bag. I've been having Laundry.Bz pick up and drop off my laundry for around four months now, and I plan to keep using them. It is very easy to place your orders online, including specifying the time windows you'd like for pick up and drop off. I've had a great experience so far, with the following notes: (1) sometimes they are early, but I don't think they've ever been late, and there was one time they were early and I wasn't home yet, but they waited for me to get home (I made it before the time window started); (2) it's almost always (or always) the same guy picking up and dropping off the laundry, and he is nice; (3) I called customer service once, and they were responsive; (4) as far as I know, they have never lost any of my laundry, and they are good about following instructions for the laundry (like air drying things); (5) they have the detergent we like, which is great! If you have a particular detergent you like, just note it in the comments box, as it might not be listed in their drop down menu. For example, they have All Free detergent. All in all, Laundry Bz has seemed to treat my laundry like I would, it just comes back better folded! Only downsides are that they don't do dry cleaning and the garments they air dry don't come back dry, but that's only because they have such a quick turnaround on delivering your clothes. They will even, for a fee, do bath rugs and quilts and such. Overall, highly recommend for reliable laundry service! read more

They kept shrinking our cotton stuff and I kept using them out of sheer laziness until one day, I realized that my husband was wearing baby tees. PROS: -PERFECT. That's the only way to sum up the service of laundry.bz. -They have ALWAYS been on time, have ALWAYS responded in under 20 minutes to my orders placed on their website. I have submitted over 30 orders. To be batting 1.000 over the lifetime of 30 orders is not amazing, it is downright unbelievable. Their pricing is actually CHEAPER than if I dropped it off for SAME DAY service. For under a dollar a pound of laundry, a friendly gentleman shows up at my door right before I head out to work. After I get home and have dinner, he returns with all my laundry washed and folded. I mean this is unbelievable. As a single guy, I have my complete wardrobe of dress shirts, slacks, boxers, socks, tshirts, and jeans washed and pressed to my specification delivered to my front door without having to talk to anyone. I have placed an order walking from my office to the train using my phone, and had the gentleman show up for pickup 10 minutes after I arrived home. My dear friends, this is the seamlessweb of laundry! -Customer service is AMAZING. BETTER THAN AMEX! I had paid for an order online using their website. I received an email about 5 minutes later saying that my roommate had paid for the order cash already and my payment had already been refunded. Before I even had to ask! CONS: -WEBSITE LOOKS GHETTO! I'm new to New York, and I had never used a laundry service before. I'm so glad I took a chance on this company. I live in Boerum Hill and when I signed up on the website, I got an email confirming that my address is in the delivery zone and my account was active. They also gave me a credit for my first use. I've used them for 5 months now and I'm sold. Setting up pick up and drop off times is easy. I can specify detergent brands, softeners, bleach, and drying temp for no extra charge. The laundry is picked up, the next day I get an email with my total, I pay online, and it's dropped off hours later. They have always been on time. My clothes are always clean and folded much better than I could ever do. Every sock is always accounted for. And I spend about the same per month as I did when I was dragging my laundry to the laundromat and spending hours sitting by machines. read more

I've been using laundry.bz for years to do my laundry. lately, I've only been using them to wash my sheets (they can fold a king sized sheet set into a tiny little square!) and bulkier items, because there is a laundromat just steps from my house. Every time I have used them, they have never lost an item, they fold like a dream and everything comes back in perfect condition. I took away one star because they're not always on time--I don't blame the driver, it IS hard to find parking in my neighborhood, but when I request an earlier time slot to avoid the 9 PM drop off (I have a kid!) they still only give me the 7-8 PM option, which usually turns into 8:30-9 PM. Their online service has improved so much and It's easy to place an order and specify times for pickup and drop off. They have great choices for baby friendly detergent and you can accrue laundry bucks that can be used for future orders. Our laundry always comes back on time and folded nicely.
