Have been using them for almost 4 years now. Always fast, always clean and always wonderful!

Yesterday a machine broke with my clothes still inside . Was stuck on soak cycle for over 90 minutes when the whole cycle should take 30. Owner was nowhere to be found and the only attendant left did not care and just stared at me blankly while continuing to fold someone else's clothes . After two plus hours the owner comes and tried to haggle his way out of issuing a refund . Worst customer service of my life . Oh forgot to mention these washers were 18 quarters previously and are now 24. 24 quarters to have your clothes held hostage by the worst laundromat in the city. Ridiculously crowded. Long waits for dryers because half of them are "reserved" so the new gentrifiers in the neighborhood can use wash and fold service. It's a shame read more

I've been with them since February & they never disappoint. My clothes are always clean & they listen to my requests! Everything are well folded & underwear tucked away from naked eyes. Customers service is top notch as well. Mr.Rawle is always so kind, whether it's pouring rain or 85 degrees out his humor is everything. I'm really glad I found this place. read more

Great, reasonably priced, responsive, so nice, and expert job folding (my least favorite part of laundry!)

The staff are lovely and the service is excellent! I did a scheduled pickup and drop off, and my clothes came back super clean and carefully folded. Will definitely keep coming back! Thank you! read more

By far the worst experience I've had with a laundromat. The woman that works there has a BAD attitude and definitely needs to work on her customer service. I paid for their wash & fold service so I would expect to receive my clothes folded nicely and properly but instead I'd get home only to do their work. I definitely won't be returning. read more

GLC is a miracle of laundry goodness: fast, reliable, responsive, high quality drop-off service. This family run business provides quality wash and fold and cares their customers. Every week I drop off around 50 lbs of laundry for me and my family. GLC has our clothes washed, folded, and ready within 24 hrs, and it is highly affordable ($1/lb when you pay in cash upfront). Many of the other drop off services might look fancier but they lose my socks and cost waaay more money. read more

I can share no higher praise than saying that visiting Grandma Laundry Corner really is like visiting your favorite grandma's house (where grandma does your laundry for you). I have been bringing drop off laundry here for about a year - it's not especially close to my apartment but I come anyway for the entirely fair prices ($1 per pound if you pay in cash when you drop off) and speedy & thoughtful service. Even at their busiest times my laundry is usually ready within 24 hours (although I also try to be thoughtful and not tell them my laundry is a rush unless I really need it ASAP! Let other customers have their turn, ya know?) and they are happy to store your cart for you if you ask nicely. FYI: They take things like special detergent requests seriously - I always ask for "free & clear" aka no products with scents because I don't like dryer sheets. This can be very important for people who have allergies (I am not one). One time they accidentally did my laundry with regular, scented detergent and they made sure to call me, leave a message (I was in a work meeting), and call me again a few hours later to make sure I knew not to use the clothes in case I did have an allergy. They apologized profusely and offered to re-do the laundry immediately, which I said no to because the scent isn't a problem for me but I was impressed by their diligence, concern, and conscientiousness. They also offer pick up & delivery services I think, but I haven't used that because I enjoy visiting them in person and saying hello! Seriously, bring your business here - and treat them like the treasure that the best grandmas are. read more

They are always super quick with my laundry, plus Rawl is just so kind and sweet! Love this place.

Two huge duffle bags worth of clothes, they picked it up from my second floor apartment on a Sunday and IG was ready Monday night! Will definitely use again read more

Grandma's Laundry is great! We recently moved (back) into the neighborhood, and after unpacking for what seemed to be weeks we acquired a mountain of laundry - sheets, towels, bathmats, and clothes. There is a laundry in our apartment complex (in the building behind ours), but with so much laundry and with the weather turning cold and snowy we were feeling overwhelmed, so I searched and found Grandma's. Rawl is wonderful! All of our belongings were returned to us in less than 48 hours (I was amazed), and they were nicely folded in plastic bags which were then put in the bags we sent the clothes in. I actually asked for a pick up this morning and then called them because I had an emergency; he changed the pick up time to accommodate me. Wonderful! I will never feel badly about being the tiniest bit lazy and calling them instead. read more

If I could only keep one business in NYC it'd be Grandma Laundry. Clothes are cleaned and folded impeccably every time. Dropoff and pickup are extremely flexible and reliable. You call to schedule dropoffs and pickups and get a text notification when it's ready, which is always fast. They are the best! read more

I've never done a pickup laundry service before, so I was a little hesitant to try anyone, but the reviews for Grandma gave me all the feels that it would be a good spot. They aren't wrong - Grandma's is the BEST! They're SO nice on the phone, nice in person, and very accommodating (when they can be - don't expect pickup Sat and drop off Sunday as weekends are the busiest time, so like, be cool). Our clothes smell delish and everything is so beautifully folded you don't even want to touch it! My husband even yelled at me when the pile almost fell over while we were putting everything away - "Don't mess up that nice folded laundry, you!" Pricing is extremely reasonable. Love them, will never leave them. :) read more

Our clothes come out smelling the BEST. These guys are responsive and kind and take care of laaaate pickups and deliveries. My only wish is that they had an online ordering option and were open on weekends. read more

EDIT: thank you Rawle for making sure I got my comforter cover back! It was a rough week with my phone going out of service but I called him through my roommate's phone and he made sure to call frequently to make sure I'm updated, and walked over my cover to my apt in the evening so I could sleep with all of my sheets. Added a star for that :) -- I'd like to start off by saying I agree with other reviewers that they have great customer service, but I wouldn't say I had the best overall experience. I wanted to give wash and fold service a try because my building's laundry machines are not that great and cost me money anyway. I didn't realize that pick-up/drop-off services are $35 minimum, so if you have a larger load for more than one person I'd recommend using that service, but as just one individual, it's probably not worth the cost. Because it's my first time though and there was a misunderstanding, they gave me a slight discount (still more than dropping off yourself) and let me know if I drop off my laundry next time it'd be cheaper. They did a great wash and fold, and packed it neatly in a plastic bag - I was extremely pleased with how clean and pristine everything was! However, they lost my comforter cover (which isn't like a sock or a small shirt... not sure how that could've gotten mixed up as my fitted sheet and pillow cases did come back). I'm sure it's a one-off case but, considering the price AND they lost a pricey item of mine, not sure I'll end up going back. read more

HORRIBLE!!! Someone is stealing clothes. At first I thought it was misplaced but this last pick up confirmed. I have multiple jeans, tops and dresses that were not returned read more

The absolute best laundry spot in the neighborhood. The care, attention and quality with which they clean your laundry is truly exceptional. Everything is sorted correctly, folded nicely, and unlike other laundromats, it doesn't feel like your clothes have been boiled in a steaming cauldron before returning. The only negative (and it's one I'm more than willing to overlook) is that they don't have a particularly logical scheduling service. They seem be always delivering and never delivering at the same time - if you need a pickup/dropoff and they say 20 minutes, you might end up waiting an hour. read more

Let me not waste any of my words. Grandma LC is the absolute best. The nicest people, the best service. Period. One time I left the rent money in CASH in my pocket. $1600. Grandma called me to let me know. I had no idea where it was. Thank you so much GLC I hope you stay in business as long as I am alive. read more

I have been going to Rawl for 12 years. He tells me I was his first customer and I wouldn't take my laundry anywhere else. The service is amazing. He and his family are wonderful. Our laundry is always folded correctly and washed with the free and clear detergent because I have sensitive skin. I couldn't recommend Grandma Laundry more. read more

Rawl was a life saver. I had left some clothes in storage the ended up getting mildew, but he did the impossible and saw to it that the clothes and shoes were perfectly restored as if nothing had ever happened. Excellent customer service! Thank you so much read more

Excellent. Just pure excellence as far as a mom and pop spot. Just be flexible with the pickup and drop-off times and you'll be happy. I experimented with multiple laundry places nearby before choosing them, and the quality speaks for itself. It's as if they care if my clothing actually is clean and if it lasts beyond the next few washes. I recommend them with no reservations! read more

This space is simply too small for a laundromat. It should never have been built. It's like keeping a big dog in a tiny cage 24/7 for his whole life. You can't push a cart through this space: it's like you're in gridlock traffic. The woman who works there has an attitude. read more

Really affordable drop off! Black owned! Drop off and get the clothes in a day or two days. Highly recommend!

I've used Grandma's a couple of times and it's usually pretty great. The pick up/drop off is so convenient and the guy who does it is the nicest guy! Though not usually a problem they did shrink basically ALL my clothes (including some rather expensive items) last time I had sent out to them. Obviously this is the risk you take when you send out your clothes but since it hadn't happened the first couple times they had done my clothes I was really upset about it. Also found that sometimes not everything comes back, I do usually send a LOT (like HUGE) bags of clothes to them and they have never lost any of my clothes (at least I don't think so) but I did loose basically all of my towels. Which is really sad because I loved those towels. Just make sure you keep track of everything you are giving them so you know if they lost it. I haven't spoken to anyone here though about my lost items because I realized waaaay too late that I didn't get my towels back. read more

Great service! They're prompt--I got overnight service with short notice. Pick up and drop off!

Grandma's laundry is the best! I've used their services for over 3 years doing both pick up and in laundry services. Rawl provides exceptional customer service, is very flexible with pickup/drop off times and makes every effort to ensure that his customers are happy. I really find it hard to believe any reviews the mention negative experiences with customer service here. They also use organic and natural detergents upon request. It feels great to not have to spend hours of my life doing laundry. read more

Fantastic place and amazing delivery service! Could not ask for a better and faster laundry service and i've used many!

Had some minor issues with my first pick up drop off and when I got back in touch with them they were SO helpful. I missed a pickup once, and they rescheduled for just an hour later. I forgot something, they made sure that it got taken care of in terms that worked for me. They also will let you know the best schedule to make sure your stuff is in hand in time. Very pleased! read more

The best!! I truly love this place. I've been coming here since they opened, probably about 10 years ago now? And I've been a loyal customer ever since they started offering drop-off. The service is wonderful, the people are kind, and there is just a general good feeling about the place. And, of course, my laundry comes back sparkling clean and folded ever-so-nicely. Roy might be one of the greatest humans of New York. When my very young cousin visited New York City for the first time ever, she said her favorite person she met was "that guy from the laundromat, because he was so nice and really seemed full of joy." And 15-year-olds are notoriously hard to impress. read more

They picked up and dropped off promptly. But returned my clothes - minus some irreplaceable items. Such as my jeans, my jeans! Two pairs that were perfect; perfect fit and feel. Other items also not returned, some of which were also irreplacable. "Grandma's" response? Denial compounded by scarily abusive and unprofessional communication. A truly bad experience. read more

As a customer from 2019-2021 who often walked by other laundromats to get here, I felt the quality of wash and customer service were worth the trouble. Not to mention it's affordable, too. This is a local laundromat where yes, a pick up and drop off or two of mine were not on time, but I still feel like a valued customer because of the genuine service provided by Rawl and staff. read more

The best customer service you can ask for. I'm so glad we have Rawl and Grandmas in the neighborhood. Fitted sheets come back folded professionally, clothes smell great. Highly recommend Grandmas. read more

update 10/16: Grandma's is OPEN. For some reason, Google is showing them as Permanently Closed, but it's not TRUE. original review: Very nice, and very good work! They pick up when they say they will and make it a pleasure. read more

I've been using Grandma's Laundry's pick up/delivery laundry service for a few months now. The laundry gets done quickly and impeccably, everyone I've met who works there is friendly and professional and the rates are extremely reasonable (even cheap, for NYC). Highly recommend! read more

I'm a very loyal customer, and was excited to find a local laundry service that does pick up/drop off. I believe in supporting local business so I was willing to overlook them often overlooking me as a customer (not being clear on time frames, delivery, price, etc). The last straw was at the end of last year I got my laundry back and the mesh bag I put my intimates in was missing. I called to ask about it and was told he'd get back to me. I called back a few times to inquire, and kept being told he'd have to look into it. Fast forward to this month. I was out of town most of January, so when I returned I called to inquire again about my belongings and schedule laundry service. I told him I wasn't upset and would still use their business, but that I wanted to resolve the issue. Pick up was made. Two days later I hadn't heard anything from them so I called to inquire when my laundry would be complete and ask about my missing belongings. I was told it was very busy and my laundry would be complete Monday, and I agreed though I specified I had to leave for work by 4pm. He said he also needed to look for security footage from the last time my laundry was completed and see what happened. He chastised me for not calling back sooner, and I set him right clarifying that it's his job to be sure his business follows up on errors they've made. Monday came and went and I had no laundry. I called AGAIN to inquire only to be told my laundry was complete the day before and he forgot about me. Then he laughed at me. At this point it was clear to me that my business means nothing to them, and that I wasn't going to get my belongings back. I explained my frustration that I could be so disregarded as a customer, and that laughing at my concerns was a terrible way to conduct business. He said he could have my laundry to me within the hour and I reminded him that when we had spoke I told him I had to leave by 4 PM and that it was 4 PM he said that he would have it to me before I got home from work at 9 PM. When I arrived home at 9 PM I still had no laundry so I called again to inquire; at this point he agreed to schedule the delivery at that time. I of course made sure to check for my lingerie bag before the delivery person left and come to find that they have again removed my belongings from the lingerie bag to launder them which defeats the purpose of the lingerie bag. When I asked the gentleman delivering the laundry about my previously missing belongings he said he didn't know anything about it. Today I called yet again to inquire about my missing belongings as it is clear that they have no intention of actually resolving this issue by themselves. I was told that my items were removed from the lingerie bag, laundered, and returned to me without the mesh lingerie bag. When I disagreed with this assertion I was told that he would get me a new lingerie bag tomorrow and then promptly hung up on. I am not holding any hope that this promise will be completed as they have failed repeatedly to fix their mistake. Use their services at your own risk. read more

Used their delivery service when I first moved to the area. It was a bit too pricey and they werent always super timley with pick up and drop off times. Had to call on multiple times to ask if they were coming. Would be more okay with paying more if I knew the times I was given they would show up in. Not worth it if you have to wait and guess. Seems like delivery service should make life easier not more confusing. read more

Grandma Laundry Corner is amazing! I tried a number of different pick up/drop off places when I moved to the neighborhood earlier this year ― local businesses and some of the bigger Brooklyn-wide/NYC-wide services. After my first experience with Grandma, I knew I had found my spot and have been using them regularly ever since. It could not be easier: Call Grandma for a pickup, bring your bag(s) of clothes downstairs when they call you, and a day or two later you'll get a text message telling you that your clothes are done and are on their way. All of my clothes come back perfectly pressed and smelling great each and every time, and the instructions I include in my bags are always followed. On top of all of this, they have the best customer service and astonishingly reasonable pricing. The first time I ever called Grandma Laundry Corner, I had never used a laundry service before and told them I only had about 5-10 lbs of laundry. The man on the phone told me that they would come if I wanted, but I should know that it wasn't worth paying for that small amount of laundry ― if I had 35 lbs for them, I would get way more bang for my buck. I was surprised by his honesty and appreciated the tip. Sure enough, a few weeks later, I had accumulated enough laundry and reached back out. I have yet to experience the same fairness, honesty, and high level of customer service from another business. read more

This was my first time dropping off laundry EVER! I don't trust anyone with my clothes but time crunch made me do it this time. I was so nervous not knowing if they are going to take good care of my clothes. I just got my clean laundry back and these guys did an INCREDIBLE JOB! Clothes were nicely folded and smelt so fresh and clean. Worth every single penny!! I love this place and will definitely return. read more

AMAZING customer service!!! I use them for pick up and delivery of my laundry and have never been unhappy with their service.
