That is pretty much their source of business and young Americans that don't know better dropping off. I would suggest Kwok Wok on the corner of Ludlow and Hester. This place is cleaner and much roomier. And the lady that works there is very nice. Today I encountered this. The ladies workers threw the laundry on the floor and then puts it in the washing machine.. Disgusting!! And they never change their gloves and customers come in to pick up their orders with the disgusting gloves on that they use to fold your clothes. Bacteria Mecca. and they are constantly putting quarters in the machines without changing their gloves. Bacteria! And the machines are terrible. The dryer specifically. The one on the middle bottom does not dry. I put in 6 quarters for a small dryer load and it was still wet. I complained and all she said was sorry sorry. No money back whatsoever. Regardless, Ariana S.'s review from a year on prices still holds true: $2.25 per wash (about 20-25 mins) $0.25 for 6 minutes of drying I wanted to comment on two specific elements that make this laundromat so great: I. Customer service The owners could not be any nicer or professional. They're here everyday, working hard and have NEVER had a bad attitude the entire 6+ years I've been coming here. II. Cleanliness The owners are meticulous about cleaning every night before closing, complete with a wash down of each machine, sweeping, floor washing, etc. the machines are well maintained and, for such a compact space, things are always in order. Other tips: Same day drop off service. Busiest time is Sunday late afternoon (avoid unless you want to take a chance you may be queuing up for a dryer).

They were so kind to go the extra mile and remove this for no extra charge since it wasn't actually a stain. I really appreciate it and will definitely continue using their services!

We suspected our clothes were not actually being washed - items came back smelling like fabric softener but not clean, and clothes with stain remover on them still had the stain remover residue, which came right off when we washed them ourselves. So we tested it. On a second visit, we deliberately added stain remover to three items in a large load before drop-off. None of the stain remover had been washed off when we got the clothes back - stain remover dissolves immediately on contact with water, so if these items had been through a wash cycle, it would have come off. It did not. The clothes just smelled like fabric softener, masking the fact they had not been cleaned at all. To make matters worse, we had left quarters at the bottom of our bag from a previous trip - they were gone when we got our clothes back. To their credit, they did wash our undergarments properly. But we cannot recommend this laundromat for a full-service wash. If you need clean clothes, find a self-service laundromat - we found a great one in Chinatown.

If you drop your clothes off early in the morning, you can usually pick them up clean by the end of the day. Dry cleaning is also impressively quick--about 3-4 days, depending on when you drop it off, since they have specific days when they send items out.
