I love going to Willa's for their breakfast sandwich. I'm dying to try their Willaquiles, which I will on my next trip. They also have the best barista in the Hudson Valley according to Chronogram. My lunch go to's are the tuna salad Sammie and the falafel wrap both absolutely delicious. Just writing this revue is making me hungry. read more

Had to go to the Catskills and stumble upon Willa's and SO glad I did. It is a hug from the gods. The food just warms your soul. Staff is warm and charming. The meatloaf sammi is a must try. The apple crisp is sky high. I can't wait to eat here again! read more

Came here at opening looking for some breakfast. Turned out hot food (eggs) is a 30 minute wait. If in a hurry keep going. The cinnamon bun was delicious though! read more

Friendly staff and yummy food! I enjoyed the granola with seasonal fruit (banana, apple, pear) and lemon curd. Yummy! Vibe inside is nice as well. Lots of people (local and visitors) hanging out. I also like that they used locally sourced ingredients when possible. read more

Willa’s - Bakery display and ordering counter - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Round Top, New York

Willa's is located in a large building on a side street in Catskill. There are some parking spots across the street specifically for the restaurant. If you can't get any of those, there's additional parking one block away on Main Street. The space is large with multiple tables of different sizes and some couches to sit on. It is bright and airy and the decor is very nice. I got a cranberry muffin (which is vegan), a breakfast burrito (can be made vegan) and a cup of coffee. All three were on point - the muffin was amazing, even though I am not a particularly big fan of cranberries or muffins. It was light and airy and not excessively dry, simply perfect. Best muffin I ever had. There were multiple other amazing looking baked goods in the display case, but the cranberry muffin was the only vegan option. The vegan version of the breakfast burrito comes filled with vegetables instead of eggs. It was very tasty - there were mushrooms and salsa and other vegetables that I can't remember. It was also a decent size. I liked it and I highly recommend it. The light roast coffee was very good. They have plant based milk available. If you stay in, everything is served in ceramic dishes and silver cutlery so you can reduce your waste. The staff was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this spot! read more

So so cute! I had the maple latte which was delicious (although maybe a little too sweet). The coffee itself was delicious and the shop was super cute. The staff was super kind and helpful! It seems like the kind of place that would be good for studying or working on a laptop. Had plenty of seating and wifi and wasn't too crowded. Highly recommend! read more

"Small" cafe in Catskill, kind of tucked away so you'd need to know it was there to find it. Menu is small but has tasty choices. Everything always comes out as ordered and the staff is super cool. Sometimes it's busy early morning or lunch rush, but you can chill at a table and chat while you wait. Certainly worth the visit if you're looking for something homemade, local, yummy and different! Definitely try the baked goods, always the highlight of my visits ! read more

I visited this bakery on vacation. It was 1/2 hour before closing on March 24, 2024. The person at the counter said we had to take the order to go. We had 4 hot drinks, 4 sandwiches, and 4 cinnamon buns. totaling $87 when we reached our relatives' home, the cinnamon buns were missing. Despite my attempts to contact them, (call, text, and photo of receipt), they still have not responded. Now it is almost a month gone by and this is still not resolved. I want a credit for the $20.52 for the buns we were charged for and never received. . We flew home across country and still have not received credit nor a return call or text. read more

Must go for breakfast or lunch!!! Super friendly staff, clean setting, oh and amazing food!! I'm a picky eater with at least a few complaints usually, but Willa's hit the mark - so much so we went for breakfast AND lunch one day. breakfast: We got the pancakes, trout, and yogurt bowl. Followed by a cinnamon bun (more on that later). The pancakes were the perfect portion and super moist. The trout was super tasty and not too salted. The bread it came with was hearty and topped with the trout/pickled onions was the perfect bite. The yogurt bowl was unsweetened yogurt which was a nice compliment to the sweet homemade granola (which I wish they sold on its own). Would have loved a bit more yogurt and fruit but was a lighter option (and I ate some of my daughter's food). Now... the cinnamon bun... one of the best I've had. Perfect. In fact breakfast was so good we came back for lunch! Which was also very good. We got eggplant sandwich, grilled cheese, and fries (handcut and perfectly fried) and everyone was very happy (and full)! Go check this place out - you'll be sure to enjoy it - maybe even twice in one day like we did! read more

Was so sad when Willa's closed in Hudson during the pandemic and was overjoyed to see them re-open in Catskill! Better location with far more seating too. Wonderful service and lovely food with Gluten free options (I had the most decadent CAKE!!!). It gets busy, so be aware that you may need to wait or might not find a table during the rush. (to the other reviewer that can't fathom why HIS eggs and toast couldn't just be pushed ahead of everyone else's food...get a grip! No restaurant wants to have long wait times. It's not them trying to "be like NYC", it's them trying keep up with a lot of orders at a small cafe) If it's a busy time, I recommend ordering ahead. That said...I'd rather see the little cafe that could be too busy than not busy enough! Bottom line..a genuinely good place to eat with a great atmosphere and ZERO nouveau Hudson pretension. read more

A much need new addition to Catskill with a great waterside location on Water Street. The cafe is located in a big old brick factory building that's been renovated and includes a large bakery. The cafe has 8am to 3pm hours and offers a fine selection of breakfast and lunch selections plus good coffee, pastry, wifi and comfortable seating. Your stroll to and from Willas will include Catskill Creek views. read more

Many restaurants can create good food and Willa's does but it seems to lack customer service which is a shame. I agree with another reviewer who said Willa's could benefit from general ease and kindness. In my opinion, Willa's felt put out to serve this customer and the restaurant wasn't busy. I didn't leave with a feeling that made me want to go back even if the food is good. read more

Willa's is a gem. Great food, friendly people, really nice space. The breakfast hash is a winner. We'll keep coming back.

It was a late morning on a weekday as we were passing by Catskills, NY. We love their lite & healthy menu. Had an awesome chicken melt w roasted sweet pepper and Kale Caesar salad. Love the portion and price that is not overkill. Love the cleanliness of this former industrial brick building w tall Windows where you can peek out the Hudson River/creek. read more

I would have given it 5 stars as the building is gorgeous as is the decorum inside and the food and coffee is perfection. Unfortunately the bus boy/food runner (adult man) "wiped" off one of the tables I was sitting next to by pushing the food debris on the floor and not really cleaning the table surface w his dirty rag. Grossed me out before I even took a sip of my devilish latte. read more

As an atheist, I'm always on the look-out for any indication that a god may exist. And I found him/her/it/thing at Willa's! In the kitchen! Making cinnamon rolls not-of-this-world, an egg scramble with veggies and cheese to accompany it AND potatoes and onions crisped together with a decadent dipping sauce. During our 10 days in the Woodstock area spending too much on restaurants, this is the only place that I'll dream about at night. We will drive the 6.5 hours again to this lovely area. My wife for the shopping. Me for Willa's. An excellent restaurant! read more

I've had discouraging experiences several times at Willa's -- after spending $40 for a full breakfast plus additional tip etc, I asked for hot water in my own cup on my way out and they said it would cost $1. it's an exacting, not warm vibe in there. I've worked in service for a long time and Willa's could benefit from some general ease & kindness. read more

Oh. My. Gosh. So glad we tried Willa's! The scram was gooey and creamy and loaded with mushrooms. Husband and I shared as, with the potatoes, it was filling enough. Coffee was rugged, (in a good way)- not a weak attempt. I normally do not eat gluten and am not a big fan of overly sugary things but I snuck the edge of his cinnamon bun and WOW. Just get yourself one of those! The folks taking our order, making coffee etc. were all very friendly and the space is just comfy and nice. These people have kept it simple and just nailed it. Willa's is a spacious breakfast and lunch spot. The service was friendly and personable in spite of how busy it was. My boyfriend and I each got their egg sandwich, but we opted for different sauces. Both were delicious, but the true stars were the pastries we had. The cinnamon bun was fresh and sinfully soft and sweet. The crueller was an airy treat. I also purchased one of their corn muffins because I had a craving. It was good as is, and I'm sure would have been even better toasted with some butter. I will definitely be returning to try more of their food the next time I'm in town. read more
