3 years ago, Wilder Tree Company trimmed our large live oaks, so I called them a second time for another trim. Not only did they do a great job (again!), but they sent Neal to give us an estimate.. and Neal knows his trees. I learned a lot just from walking around the property with him. You can tell he *genuinely* cares about trees, and that is an individual (or indirectly, a company) that I will never regret spending money with. The passion, sense of urgency, and expertise were impressive. The crew showed up after we approved the estimate and they also did a terrific job. They were respectful of the property and cleaned up after themselves perfectly. Thanks, Neal and Wilder crew!! read more

Friendly, courteous, careful with my property. I received a load of mulch via the chipdrop.com service that links arborists with people who want mulch. I've used the service four times now, and with multiple arborists, but Wilder was especially great. read more

Wilder Tree Company prepared a fair, competitive proposal and were able to address our tree problems quickly. Adrian and his crew did the work, communicated well, arrived on time, cleaned up upon completion, and did an excellent, efficient job. I would hire Wilder again. read more

Had a dying and potentially dangerous Hackberry beside our house, which had already caused some minor roof damage. I contacted at least six different vendors for bids. Wilder set a firm appointment time, which they kept. Their proposal included some additional work which they included at no additional charge. When I had a question regarding the scope of work, the person who answered the phone expedited things and was a pleasure to work with. I regret that I didn't write down her name, but she was both professional and pleasant to work with. (And, all of this is happening around 5:00 on a Friday night!) Their process involved only a 10% deposit, and their on-line form made the process very easy. (One firm, whose bid was substantially more wanted 50% down.) Wilder's bid was next to the lowest, but their attention to detail and professionalism made the decision easy. Once awarded the contract I was scheduled for the following Monday! I want to give a shout out to the foreman Josh, and to his crew for doing a great job of not only removing the dead tree, but doing a careful job of trimming the other threes and shrubs, including removing some small volunteer Hackberry trees from a couple of locations. Excellent work, and respect for our property. From the start of the process to the finish, Wilder has been a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them. read more

Pruning Job on a dozen, removal, clean up and chipping. Fast, professional job and fairly priced. read more

Awesome customer service, guys did an amazing job and then some. Left my yard immaculate after taking a huge burr oak down as it had died and would have been a hazard. Price was right as well. read more

Josh and his team were prompt, professional and they knew their stuff. They removed a very tall dead tree and carefully trimmed an oak that had many dead branches. Yard looks great! Clean up was amazing like all of that work didn't just happen. We are in the process of scheduling another job with them for our front yard. We highly recommend Wilder Tree Company. Thanks again Kyle for the estimate consultation and to Josh and his great crew! read more

During the violent thunderstorm Friday evening, August 1, a large ash tree split and came down in my backyard, breaking the fence and resting on the roof. I mad several calls Saturday morning and got no answers until I reached a real, helpful person at Wilder. Not only did they answer the phone, but they had an estimator out before 1 p.m. and a crew with chainsaws and a chipper on site by 4 p.m. In two days, the tree, both the massive fallen portion and the dangerous piece still standing, were removed. Eric Wilder and his sales associate, Shane McKillop, were prompt, efficient and did a huge job professionally and much faster than I expected. I would recommend them for any tree job. I have three very large live oaks which need pruning pretty much every year. Wilder has done the work for me twice now, and I was so pleased that I'm recommending them to anyone who asks for tree trimming/care. They have arborists on staff, so I know they are making appropriate recommendations, but please don't read that to mean they upsell. Eddie was my on-the-ground guy today overseeing the job and made sure I was satisfied with their work. They responded quickly to my inquiry and reviewed the plan during the estimation visit, as well as just prior to doing the work. They also spray all cuts to protect from insects and diseases. And their clean up is thorough! read more

Eric is fantastic to work with. He's punctual, skilled, and really knows trees. He provided expert guidance. If you need tree care done right, Wilder Tree Company is the one to call! read more

This was my first time using this company and I will probably will use them again. They trimmed trees in the front and back yard and removed branches from my neighbors trees that were touching my roof. They were fast and efficient and cleaned up my yard when they were finished. I have also scheduled Wilder to do a stump grinding job for me in the back yard. I do not have a date, but have already paid for the full amount so I am counting on it to be soon. read more

I wish I had before and after pictures of our property to share here, but trust me when I say what a beautiful difference Eric and his crew made in our yard. The crew was professional in their trimming and very thorough in their cleanup. Eric himself is so incredibly knowledgeable regarding tree growth patterns and how the overall tree structure affects its future strength. He developed a strategic plan to selectively prune several of our two-trunked trees over the course of the next five years to maintain and improve their integrity and prevent property destruction by falling branches. He was also able to identify hypoxylon cankers on two of our red oaks and, in addition to removing the affected limbs, recommended a microbial tea that he makes in-house to improve the trees' health and immunity against hypoxylon, oak wilt, and other stressors. In case you don't know this already, soil health and diversity is the key to happy plants, so I really appreciate an arborist who recognizes soil quality's impact on trees, too! I highly recommend Eric and his team at Wilder Tree Company and have been singing their praises to everyone I know. Now you know, too! read more

Third time hiring this company with another excellent result. The owner is honest and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the job. Trimmed two Monterrey Oaks in the front yard, a Crepe Myrtle as well as oaks and a cedar in the back. read more

Top notch service with Eric and his crew! They came out for an estimate, we agreed on price, and they showed up the next day. The communication, tree work and cleanup couldn't have been better. I not only use Wilder again in the future, but will be recommending them. read more

I truly hate leaving unkind reviews but I was approached by the Wilder Tree Company as they were working on my neighbors tree and they wanted to clean up ours too. They were paid for tree trimming and stump grinding. They completed the tree trimming as expected and let me know they would be back around the following week with the stump grinder. It has been several months with phone conversations, text messages, and every attempt made to get their team back in for the stump, but we have been met with radio silence and an unfinished job. I'm so disappointed by the unprofessional behavior, especially since they have been paid for work that is incomplete. Be warned if you employee this company for a two step job. read more

Wilder Tree Company made the entire process effortless. They responded promptly to my inquiry, provided a quick on-site estimate, and completed the job the very next day. Look no further! Their pricing was extremely reasonable, the team was highly professional, and the quality of their work was outstanding. They even did a fantastic job with the cleanup. The office staff was friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. We will definitely call on them again for any future tree work! read more

Super efficient, honest hardworking crew with great communication skills. Price was better than other estimates and they did a lot of extras without add on cost read more

I've used Wilder Tree service twice now and intend to use them for now on. (I have also used other arborists in Austin who were fine, but I am particularly impressed with Wilder.) The certified arborist at Wilder Tree came and assessed my trees that needed trimming. Then the professional crew came and trimmed the trees as he had indicated. They lowered larger limbs very carefully to the ground, and cleaned the grounds and my driveway well before leaving. In the spring, I also had the organic fertilizing service, which feeds the soil and trees. This is an excellent way to replenish the soil life and strengthen the trees. I will use this service again, as well. The price for these services is fair, reasonable, and competitive. read more

This was our first time using Wilder Tree Company. John and crew did a terrific job removing some trees and stumps for us. Cleanup and removal of all debris was thorough and quickly completed; the team showed great care for our property as well. We look forward to using Wilder Tree Company for our future needs. read more

This company uses spam texts as a way to get business. Not a great business practice. I have to text stop to opt out...I never opted in.

These folks stopped by after noticing some low branches from our oak tree out front. We had them give a quote for grinding a stump that was creating drainage problems by our house; removing 2 dead/dying trees; removing landscaping bushes gone wrong; and more. The quote seemed reasonable and their reviews were great so we went for it. They spent all afternoon out there getting it done and cleaned up so well after! A wire got destroyed in the stump grinding process due to its location and they came back and fixed that, no problem at all. They're super communicative, professional, nice, and just plain good at what they do. I wouldn't hesitate to have them back again! read more

What I know about trees can barely fill a thimble ... but what I do know is that after two major freezes and two hotter-than-heck summers ... I have lost easily 30% of my canopy and was very concerned about what would happen if we had another major freeze this coming winter. So I decided to consult a tree expert at Wilder Tree Company about what I might consider doing to prepare my trees for this winter and the growing season to follow ... and was pleasantly surprised to learn that there are some smart, preemptive steps I could take to safe guard my leafy investment. Not one to waste time ... I decided to move forward and contracted with Eric at Wilder Tree Company to assess and prune all the trees on my property and could not be more pleased with the service I received and the end result. My thimble of tree knowledge is now a bit more full and if any of you are worried about your trees and what climate extremes may lay ahead ... do your self a favor and reach out to the experts at Wilder Tree Company. read more
