I recently contacted Sanchez and Sons for tree pruning around my house. They came out within 24 hours to give me a quote. I really appreciated how Steve clearly saw my vision without having point out every single thing. The job was done later that week. I'm grateful they were able to work with my budget. I'm very happy with the work and will absolutely use them for any tree maintenance I need in the future. They truly do offer "unbeatable tree service." read more

Hired these guys to remove 2 hackberry trees on the fence line. They were fast, knowledgeable, and friendly. Both trees were really close to the houses and they were very careful not to drop anything on the roof. They cleaned everything up before the lefty read more

I've been a satisfied customer on multiple occasions - but not the most recent encounter. The quote was very high, they appear to have exaggerated the urgency of some work, and they committed to a project that they didn't complete despite promises. I am disappointed and now questioning how much I can trust them to be fair, honest and reliable. read more

We have used the family business Sanchez & Sons Services multiple times to care for our aging 120-year pecan tree. They also came out same day to haul off a huge limb that unexpectedly fell on our fence and was blocking the neighbor's driveway. Their knowledge and care has been appreciated, and we intend to use them for all of our future tree care. We have primarily worked with Steve. The crew safely reduced the canopy on a massive 120-year pecan tree. We are sad because the tree is estimated to only have another 15 years left, but we trust Sanchez & Sons to give it the best care. The crew needed to access our neighbor's yard during recent work, and they communicated proactively with her so that she could ensure the safety of her dog. After they left, she commented, "They were there almost all day. They were very conscientious. Daniel moved some pots that could have been broken by a falling limb AND when they were finished he returned the pots to their original location!!" Just excellent. I needed to raise the canopy above the roof of my home to facilitate some expected roofing work in the next couple of weeks. Mr. Sanchez came out and offered to the job at an agreed upon price. There was no upselling which is what I've always appreciated about this company. But what there always seems to be is "UP"-servicing. They came out, got right to work and raised the canopy even more than I thought they would have. All in all their work was fantastic. This is the second time I've contracted with Sanchez and Sons but you can bet it will not be the last. read more

I needed a large tree removed from my front yard that was dying. I called four companies out for bids and I went with Sanchez and Sons. They have the experience, it was easy to communicate with them and their workers did an amazing job. They were cautious not to hit anything or drop branches on the roof and cleaned up once they were done. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to have their trees trimmed or removed. read more

We had some large branches overhanging the roof, which could have caused serious damage to the roof if they fell. Plus, another tree in the backyard had branches that were touching the powerline from the pool to the house, so critical work needed to be done on these trees. After researching various tree trimmers in South Austin, we selected Sanchez and Sons due to their excellent reviews, the fact that they have an arborist on staff and a soon to be arborist, and it is family owned. After contacting them the first impression is how professional the responses were and how fast they responded to a nervous potential customer. The day of the tree-trimming, it could not have gone more smoothly. The team of tree-trimmers were pleasant, helpful, courteous and on a blazingly hot day in Austin. They ensured that no limbs fell on the roof, they removed all limbs and meticulously cleaned up the debris. Mr. Sanchez recommended limb trimming based on his expertise as a soon-to-be arborist. There will be two arborists with this family-owned company, which is impressive. Bottom-line, I want to highly recommend this family-owned company of people committed to the health of trees, the natural environment and integrity of the individual trees. Austinites love their trees and when trees need management trimming, you cannot ask for a better team of people than Sanchez and Sons. They are professional, courteous and committed to their craft. read more

Hands down the best tree service I've used; I finally found Mine. Years back, I used to do my own yard and tree work; then came the wheelchair. I have searched for a valid knowledgeable tree service for YEARS. I've used them twice, only limited by funds. I'm on limited income, and fortunately Sanchez and Sons prices are fair: what you'd expect for quality work. The first service was for a lot and lot of pruning and 1 tree removal. The tree pruning is what won me over: autumn pruning should be almost excessive and most don't do that. They were perfection. The second service was after snow-vid for the removal of 3 large dead trees. I am saving up for Fall pruning and some hardscaping. But mostly pruning...Oh! And I need to put a couple of trees in the ground. Their service process is professional. Their estimates are spot-on. You cannot ask for better. I only wish I had taken pictures (drats!) read more

Quick, competent, tidy, great prices, and backed by their own certified arborist! What more could you ask for in a tree service? (And believe me, i know what bad habits other tree services have in Austin, especially the city contractors.) Integrity: that's what you can ask for, and they've got it. If that's not enough, they won't let you pay for services not yet rendered! In this case that means they'll come back at another time to grind the tree stumps and they won't let me pay for that until grinding is done. From 1st phone call to last broom sweep, they were great. Thank you so much for easing the heartbreak of losing a fallen friend. read more

The Sanchez team came out to remove a massive amount of bamboo and a few trees on my property. They started the job ahead of schedule and finished on time. Adam was very professional and gave me some ideas about next steps for our backyard. Hope to work with this team again as I know they go well above just meeting expectations. read more

Great service. Great value. Conscientious. Steve cane out after the Storm of '21 and helped clean up a huge mess. Probably saved a lot of my trees in the process. I'd call him again in an instant. read more

I have used Sanchez and Sons Services twice now and I highly recommend them. Adam came out to assess my tree pruning needs in 2020. At the time he said my two oak trees were healthy and growing great and he advised me to give it a couple of years before I pruned them and he explained why. He did have his team "tidy up" both trees. This year (2022) he came out to assess again. He gave me his recommendation with explanations and asked for my opinion on aesthetics. This time his team lifted the canopy and removed large limbs that we encroaching over my roof and my neighbor's roof. They did such a great job!!! And it was all reasonably priced. Great people doing great work! read more

My wife and I have been working with Sanchez and Sons for a few years now. They have done everything from trimming trees on our five acres to building rock walls and fences. These folks are amazing. Their prices are very reasonable for the work they do. They are professional and leave the place where they worked just spotless. I can not give them a higher recommendation than the fact that we will continue to use them and you should too! BTW, this is a totally unsolicited review. These guys are just good. read more

I found Sanchez and Sons through AngiesList and needed some oak trees in our front yard trimmed. They were able to come out the next day to provide a quote. They clearly explained what should be done and why. The price was competitive with quotes I received from other companies and their knowledge on the trees put me at ease. Jeremy and his crew arrived two days later, as scheduled, and I was reassured of the plan. The crew worked hard and did a great job of cleaning up once they were finished. I had a few bushes in the backyard that I had forgotten needed to be cut down. They were able to return the next day to take care of it for me. Their work was impeccable and everyone I dealt with was friendly and courteous. Being a new homeowner, I was a bit stressed out when I realized I had to hire someone to take care of our trees, but I couldn't have asked for a better experience! read more

Ah-MAZ-ing work from Sanchez & Sons! I'd neglected four Live Oaks in the backyard for far too long, had a dead tree that needed removal, and other tree limbs were too close to the roof of the house. Fortuitously, I saw the crew doing great work on my next door neighbor's trees and was able to get a bid that afternoon from the manager Steve (the price was great for all that work). Today, his team arrived right on time and got down to work. I could not be happier with the results. The trees look so fantastic that I'm now chomping at the bit to get back to gardening. Highly, highly, highly recommended--and I will definitely use them again! read more

If anyone is looking for fence installation I'd like to highly recommend Sanchez & Sons Services. Edward Sanchez was very prompt & attentive getting our fence up and it looks perfect! Our pups couldn't be happier in their newly fenced back yard. Quality service from a hard working family business. read more

I picked two top rated tree outfits from Angie's List reviews to come bid against Davey Tree, whom I'd had good luck with before. I'll admit that the last pruning job of theirs had been grossly underbid (I thought so at the time, but kept my mouth shut), and I got an especially good deal! Figured I owed them a little extra consideration, but this time Davey's bid was nearly triple the other guys'. I settled on Sanchez and Sons because, though not the cheapest, the bidding process blew me away. Brother Steve composed the bid sheet on his phone as I spent nearly an hour showing him precisely what I did want done, plus asking what else he'd recommend. I went in the house to print it off as he drove away. The other company gave be a hand scribbled list, but it was a little vague about what it was exactly that we were agreeing to. Steve's knowledge and attention to detail were impressive; he and older brother Jeremy are both certified arborists, and they come to instruct their crews at the beginning of the job. Some times they may visit other job sites during the day, but for our job Steve would sweat along with the rest of the crew for the whole day. He did take more down time than the rest of the crew, some to stay in phone contact with the office, some to just chat with me. I learned a lot about this little but growing family business, and it's a wonderful story really. My neighbor on one side had asked for a bid on some minimal work at his house, and the price was so reasonable he decided they could afford a little more. He ended up spending about $570. I had acted as middleman for this, so he never actually even met Steve; he left the check with me. But after all was done he made a point to come over and tell me that he had never had any craftsmen do such an impeccable job of clean-up afterwards, especially tree people! I agree. I opted to pay with credit card ($1,750) which cost an extra 3% fee - but what the heck, that paid for the cleaning out of my gutters and the leaf pickup and raking out of all my gravel paths, which they just did as part of the job. While they were taking down three doomed pear trees on the line between us and the other side neighbors, those neighbors gave Steve another job on a couple of trees in their back yard. So a great week for us, three neighbors in a row, and a very productive couple of days' hard labor for the Sanchez crew. Plus I'm already eyeing the trees we left alone this time. We'll have enough work again in two or three years, and I expect the neighbors will get on board too. I truly look forward to seeing the Sanchez family again. Sorry for going on so long, but I couldn't help it. If you've got trees, you owe it to yourselves to get to know these people. Trees are not all they do, by the way, so I'm keeping that in mind too. Happy Landscaping! read more

I was referred to Adam at Sanchez & Sons by a neighbor next door to my new property. These guys are AWESOME from start to finish, with reasonable and competitive prices. After obtaining several quotes, we decided to hire Sánchez and Sons to remove branches that were threatening the house and fence. We originally wanted to trim one of the trees a certain way but were advised that it would stress the tree too much. They not only looked after the property, but also cared about the health of our plants and trees. They were very knowledgeable and their fee was reasonable as well. They also cleaned their tools and left our place tidy. read more

Working with Sanchez & Sons was a very pleasant experience! After reading a couple of positive reviews, I saw they were local to my South Austin area ... I had a tight schedule that required the tree over our driveway to be trimmed. Sanchez & Sons were responsive, listened to my needs, and promptly took care of business. The whole process of call back, site visit and estimate to quality work, on time, and very professional was all done before I even received a call back from some of the other companies. read more

Maybe this should have been 4 stars, because some small broken limbs and branches as the result of the tree work were not cleared out, however, they were the exception and overall the work was outstanding. A large crew showed up on time and went straight to work - no shouting, loud music or nonsense. A few minor trimming additions were agreeably added on, and the performance and results exceeded my expectations. The scheduling, estimate, and communication was very professionally handled. Sanchez & Sons have provided the best tree service I've experienced in 50 years. Highly recommended. read more

Sanchez and Sons came out to trim a large oak that had dead branches and remove some trees that had grown in bad spots. They arrived on time and within 2 and a half hours had completed the work. Every dead branch had been removed from the oak and they raked and removed all debris. They were so neat you could hardly tell they had just been there, aside from the excellent work they did. I would highly recommend them. Plus the office always answers the phone with professionalism and courtesy. read more

We just had the best experience with getting our huge pecan trees (and some other smaller species) trimmed. Unfortunately it took a huge limb falling on our fence to get ourselves in gear, but I went with Sanchez and Sons (http://sanchezandsonspro.com) on a recommendation and they were amazing from the get-go. I filled out an online request and got a call back the same day. Steve, a certified arborist and one of the "sons" in Sanchez and Sons, came out the following morning to give me a quote. It was hundreds of dollars less than previous work we had had done. He was very friendly and knowledgable. His brother, Jeremy, is also a certified arborist. Another of the Sanchez brothers, Adam, actually came the following morning with the crew that did the work. The daughter, Evie, manages the office and was very friendly and quick to respond as well. The crew did a great job trimming and making the right cuts to prevent future rot. They went above and beyond cleaning up after them selves and even cut and stacked firewood for us! I can't say enough good things about them and I highly recommend them. read more

We recently had two large live oaks pruned and a large maple tree cut completely down by Sanchez and Sons. Esteban is great to work with. During the estimate he was very thorough in explaining how they would prune the live oaks. It can be scary letting someone cut on your live oaks, I love mine! Puts your mind at ease knowing exactly what they are going to do. The bid we got from them was one of the better ones. We got bids from others and the pricing was all over the place. On the day they did the work they were prompt and showed up early and immediately went to work. We have 3 dogs that came out a few times while they were working and they were great with them. The work they did was amazing!!! Our trees don't look the same at all! They now look like the trees I see in other people's yard and think are pretty. Now our house is the one with the pretty trees I highly recommend you give Esteban a call and get an estimate. Trust me, you won't regret it. read more

Man, I like these guys. We've had them out a couple times for pretty extensive tree work at our house, and they've always been accommodating to our schedule, and when they show up, they are there to WORK. We first used them over a year ago for some oak trimming, and Edward was great. Just recently, we had a big ash problem (40") in our front courtyard that had to go. It had big limbs over my neighbor's yard and fence, and I was worried about how they were going to remove it without dropping anything on the fence or making a mess of the neighbor's yard....well, Adan and Steve knocked it out in a single day...amazing! Also, Jeremy is a certified arborist, which comes in handy if you have a delicate situation and need some expertise. I'd recommend, for sure. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I left a message for Sanchez and Sons through their website Tuesday afternoon requesting an estimate to get some large trees in my front and back yard trimmed. By Wednesday morning they called to schedule an estimate, by Wednesday afternoon Steve was at my house to look at my trees and provide a super reasonable estimate, and by Friday morning the crew was ready to get to work. They did an amazing job trimming my overgrown trees at a very reasonable rate. The crew was courteous and cleaned up the entire yard. No trimmings were left behind and they swept my driveway spotless. After the work was done, Steve and I did a walkthrough to make sure I was satisfied with the work and then he suggested when and what to trim/prune next season. I look forward to continuing my patronage with this company. read more

I can't say enough good things about the services that were provided by the whole Sanchez & Sons team. They came to my house promptly, gave me lots of options for addressing our cracked limb as well as other tree removal and stump grinding that we needed to have done. The crew showed up the next day and they were extremely thorough in both completing the work as well as cleaning up when it was finished. It is rare to find a truly family business that excels at the little details from receiving your call through the end of the job. You won't find a better tree service in town. read more

When our 20 year old trash tree split after a stormy weekend, and dropped itself slowly onto our neighbors' deck roof, we needed service NOW. I called several businesses, most of which were already busy because of the storm. When I called Sanchez and Sons Services, Edward was able to respond, thankfully, within the hour for a quote-which was extremely reasonable considering the size of the split tree and considering both sides had to be removed. Steve Sanchez showed up with a crack team of removal specialists to get the tree off our neighbor's house THAT day. They were everything they represented themselves to be and more. When done, they left nothing behind but a huge stump in the ground and the memory of a tree that used to be. They also cleaned up the street, roof and yard. They were all polite, careful and professional as they went about their jobs. ALSO: A call out to Eddie Sanchez who was there to actually answer the phone, as opposed to leaving a message, and got back with me immediately about their availability. Thank you all! read more

Sanchez and Sons Tree Service are legitimately the best tree service in Austin! We were referred to S&S two years ago and they did good work for us around our property. Esteban returned my call within a few minutes and came out today for an estimate at a time that worked for us. Best part is their team was able to get started today! I'm thrilled to have my yard looking so nice. The trees are standing tall and I can safely say their work in my yard just made my springtime a little more serene. Thank you Esteban and Fam!
