We have used the family business Sanchez & Sons Services multiple times to care for our aging 120-year pecan tree. They also came out same day to haul off a huge limb that unexpectedly fell on our fence and was blocking the neighbor's driveway. Hands down the best tree service I've used; I finally found Mine. Years back, I used to do my own yard and tree work; then came the wheelchair. I have searched for a valid knowledgeable tree service for YEARS. I've used them twice, only limited by funds. I'm on limited income, and fortunately Sanchez and Sons prices are fair: what you'd expect for quality work. The first service was for a lot and lot of pruning and 1 tree removal. The tree pruning is what won me over: autumn pruning should be almost excessive and most don't do that. They were perfection. The second service was after snow-vid for the removal of 3 large dead trees. I am saving up for Fall pruning and some hardscaping. But mostly pruning...Oh! At the time he said my two oak trees were healthy and growing great and he advised me to give it a couple of years before I pruned them and he explained why. He did have his team "tidy up" both trees. This year (2022) he came out to assess again. He gave me his recommendation with explanations and asked for my opinion on aesthetics. This time his team lifted the canopy and removed large limbs that we encroaching over my roof and my neighbor's roof. They did such a great job!!! And it was all reasonably priced. I picked two top rated tree outfits from Angie's List reviews to come bid against Davey Tree, whom I'd had good luck with before. I'll admit that the last pruning job of theirs had been grossly underbid (I thought so at the time, but kept my mouth shut), and I got an especially good deal! Figured I owed them a little extra consideration, but this time Davey's bid was nearly triple the other guys'. I settled on Sanchez and Sons because, though not the cheapest, the bidding process blew me away. Brother Steve composed the bid sheet on his phone as I spent nearly an hour showing him precisely what I did want done, plus asking what else he'd recommend. I went in the house to print it off as he drove away. The other company gave be a hand scribbled list, but it was a little vague about what it was exactly that we were agreeing to. Steve's knowledge and attention to detail were impressive; he and older brother Jeremy are both certified arborists, and they come to instruct their crews at the beginning of the job. Some times they may visit other job sites during the day, but for our job Steve would sweat along with the rest of the crew for the whole day. He did take more down time than the rest of the crew, some to stay in phone contact with the office, some to just chat with me. I learned a lot about this little but growing family business, and it's a wonderful story really. My neighbor on one side had asked for a bid on some minimal work at his house, and the price was so reasonable he decided they could afford a little more. He ended up spending about $570. I had acted as middleman for this, so he never actually even met Steve; he left the check with me. But after all was done he made a point to come over and tell me that he had never had any craftsmen do such an impeccable job of clean-up afterwards, especially tree people! I agree. I opted to pay with credit card ($1,750) which cost an extra 3% fee - but what the heck, that paid for the cleaning out of my gutters and the leaf pickup and raking out of all my gravel paths, which they just did as part of the job. While they were taking down three doomed pear trees on the line between us and the other side neighbors, those neighbors gave Steve another job on a couple of trees in their back yard. So a great week for us, three neighbors in a row, and a very productive couple of days' hard labor for the Sanchez crew. Plus I'm already eyeing the trees we left alone this time. We'll have enough work again in two or three years, and I expect the neighbors will get on board too. I truly look forward to seeing the Sanchez family again. Sorry for going on so long, but I couldn't help it. If you've got trees, you owe it to yourselves to get to know these people. Trees are not all they do, by the way, so I'm keeping that in mind too. Sanchez and Sons came out to trim a large oak that had dead branches and remove some trees that had grown in bad spots. They arrived on time and within 2 and a half hours had completed the work. Every dead branch had been removed from the oak and they raked and removed all debris. They were so neat you could hardly tell they had just been there, aside from the excellent work they did. We just had the best experience with getting our huge pecan trees (and some other smaller species) trimmed. Another of the Sanchez brothers, Adam, actually came the following morning with the crew that did the work. The daughter, Evie, manages the office and was very friendly and quick to respond as well. The crew did a great job trimming and making the right cuts to prevent future rot. They went above and beyond cleaning up after them selves and even cut and stacked firewood for us! We recently had two large live oaks pruned and a large maple tree cut completely down by Sanchez and Sons. Esteban is great to work with. During the estimate he was very thorough in explaining how they would prune the live oaks. It can be scary letting someone cut on your live oaks, I love mine! Puts your mind at ease knowing exactly what they are going to do. The bid we got from them was one of the better ones. We got bids from others and the pricing was all over the place. On the day they did the work they were prompt and showed up early and immediately went to work. We have 3 dogs that came out a few times while they were working and they were great with them. The work they did was amazing!!! Our trees don't look the same at all! They now look like the trees I see in other people's yard and think are pretty. When our 20 year old trash tree split after a stormy weekend, and dropped itself slowly onto our neighbors' deck roof, we needed service NOW.
