I am not a breakfast person. If you told me I could never have breakfast food again or I'd die...well, let's say I could live a long life. This place may change my mind. This is seriously the first and only breakfast place where I have found myself actively craving their food. SERVICE Top notch. We came at a super busy time and had to wait about 20 minutes. It was interesting to watch the dynamic here. No one was harried, but everyone bustled about filling drinks and taking orders. There was a manager who was constantly pacing the room, checking on tables, ordering bussing, making sure everything was running smoothly. Our server was charming and had a great grasp of the menu. He came back frequently to check on us and get refills. FOOD OMG, the food. I think perhaps the reason I like this place so much is that the breakfast is not so breakfasty. The "breakfast nachos" are just nachos with scrambled eggs on top. For me, that's pretty perfect. As were the nachos. Piled high with lots of toppings and not-too-greasy chorizo. The breakfast tots are squares of their potato casserole bursting with onions and cheese, then flash fried to make them crisp. I could live on these. Topping it off is the cinnamon roll. $8 for a roll??? Yep, and worth every penny. Make in its own iron skillet, think Cinnabon on steroids. Everything you like in a Cinnabon, with about three times the icing, freshly made, and with a cinnamon sugar crust on the bottom. Heaven in a skillet. Oh, and rolled out of bed like a ragamuffin to come here and no one batted an eye. Like their menu, their customers are also quite eclectic. read more

Had the breakfast burrito which was delicious and HUGE! Not a cheap breakfast but good isn't cheap. Staff was nice but odd that downtown Indy on a (eeearly) workday morning there were absolutely no guests in restaurant. Shame, the place was clean and well designed. Coffee bar gave me a cup of coffee for free! read more

Terrible terrible service. We we're initially told we would be on a waiting list for 45 minutes. It ended up being almost two hours. We were not greeted when we arrived. Our order was missing items. My French toast tasted like a chemical was injected into it. Our food was lukewarm on arrival. The grits were watered down and our server only checked on us once. I will never come back here. This place has one down hill dramatically since it opened. read more

4.5 Yet another restaurant entering the ever expanding Indy breakfast scene. Yes Wild Eggs is a franchise, there seem to be a lot of these popping up downtown lately. It can best be likened to Yolk if you've dined there. Pro's: + it's bright and new + staff is friendly and extremely helpful + they have a bar top curved long table in front of a tv that is some what of a throw back to the 1950s + the have a separate gluten free menu with a decent amount of selection to chose from. + they take cross contamination seriously. I didn't get sick. + they offer a cheese that wasn't from a cow! Yeah goat cheese. + Fresh squeezed OJ Cons: - parking - street parking near restaurant along Delaware ,but you are at the mercy of overflow Mass Ave parking and events going on in the area. I swear that almost every other Saturday a 5k or other race magically shuts down roads and cases traffic early in the morning. Tips : * They offer gluten free bread, for a slight up charge. It is Udi's and surprisingly, it is pretty decent, the taste and there were no holes in the bread, much unlike if you were to get it off the shelf at a grocery store. read more

Wild Eggs - Wild Mushroom and Roasted Garlic Scramble minus the skillet potatoes, with some fresh OJ. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

Good Food. Excellent service. Very friendly employees. Great location and pleasant ambience.

The 314 N. Delaware location in Indianapolis needs serious help. We (my party and others) were told 25 min wait. We were supposed to receive a text and I and others (the guests after me and those sitting near me) received no texts. We ended up coming back to the wait area to find out why it had been 30-35 min. The individual managing the list told the couple on the list behind me there would be a 30 - 45 min wait not realizing they had already waited over 30 minutes. When finally seated a family sitting near me had been waiting over 10 minutes for a wait person. Also re-evaluate the value of that bar. I did't want to sit at it and neither did others customers. The couple on the list behind me ended up at the bar out of frustration. There are plenty of breakfasts places nearby. If you're reading this you may want to skip Wild Eggs. read more

Went there all by myself for a weekend breakfast. I managed to be seated immediately at their little breakfast counter. It's kinda cute, but looks a bit odd in the middle of the room as it is. Let me say the service was great, super friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the fact that you get your personal water pitcher and your personal coffee carafe, so you don't need to try to get anybody's attention for refills or such. I do appreciate that and I know it makes it easier for the wait staff too. I had the smokin' hash, the name was cute and I enjoy corned beef hash. This was rather different than what I was used to, a bit hard to describe, but it was fabulous in taste. My eggs done perfectly, the corned beef so yummy, the blueberry muffin that came with it, so fresh and flavorful. A delight. However, for starters I was served the wrong food by the food runner. Not a big deal. Things happen. How it is handled is what makes the difference. I told them this is not what I ordered and they took the offending food away. Right away the waitress was there and apologized assuring me that my correct food was on the way. Shortly thereafter the manager stopped by and apologized also and assured me the correct food was being made on the fly. Wonderful, I received my order within minutes and all was good. I enjoyed my meal. Ready to pay and there it is on my bill: In addition to my actual meal I see the not-ordered potato skillet at $9+, but alas wrung up as a discount of $9-, so in effect $0, but now that irks me. Looks like I'm getting some food for free and it reminds me now again of the initial faux pas. That leaves a sour taste in my mouth. So I paid my bill and then told the manager on my way out, that I thought that was in poor taste and they should find some other way to keep track of mistakes and not remind people of it. Wish I could just take a little fraction of a star... To my surprise when I received my credit card statement, it was for only half the amount that I had authorized. I hope no money was taken out of the tip I left for the waitress. read more

My friend and I shared a savory and a sweet plate on a rainy Saturday morning. Love getting a little bit of both and it's not possible to eat TWO entrees, well, it's possible but I really shouldn't... Anyway, we got the surfer girl omlette and the tall stacks. Both were well done. The omelette was JUST a teensy weensy dry but good flavors. I could taste the mushrooms. Blueberry muffin is a little too sweet for my taste but definitely tasted the added lemon, which is very nice. The grits of the day with veggies were good. The pancakes were phenomenal (to me). It's been a while since I've had pancakes but they were FLUFFY and warm and just plain AMAZING. I love strawberries and big old fluff of whipped cream was great!! Service was excellent, and just on par with all the other yelpers' comments here. Did not even have to ask for hot sauce or cracked black pepper! We were checked on frequently but not TOO frequently. Thumbs up! The wait on a Saturday (rainy) morning, closer to noon, was estimated to be 20 minutes but we actually were seated in 10 minutes, YAY! I think it's not abnormal to have a little bit of a wait on a weekend brunch slot. The ambience is brightly lit, casual but cute. :) Parking, unfortunately, is just street metered parking. But there is free parking Sundays! So overall, I really enjoyed this place. Brunch for $12 is not bad and I was definitely happily full at the end. There are other items on the menu that would be nice to try so hopefully I can return not too far off in the future. read more

Stopped in for morning brunch plans. Had no real plan or expectation. Generally speaking, good breakfast, not great. But the cinnamon rolls were very good and tasty and delicious. Watch out for the table by the window, the cooling systems seems to pound that one location, all the waiterperson know about it and if you don't like the chill, make sure to avoid that table. The food was awesome and the service was excellent! When we come back to visit this will definitely be one of our go to places to eat.

Wild Eggs is the perfect middle-of-the-road breakfast place. The location could not be better. It's located just a block off of Mass Ave. I love how Wild Eggs isn't trying to be something it's not. The menu is traditional and the decor inside is simple. This is the type of place that serves your traditional coffee, eggs, pancakes, and biscuits & gravy. If you are looking for something like avocado toast, maybe head somewhere else. I love Wild Eggs for when I am in the mood for an omelet. Perk #1 is that there is no up-charge for eggs whites. However, you do get charged extra for switching your side to fruit. My go-to omelet is the Surfer Girl which makes me feel like I am sitting on a beach in California. I love the cream cheese sauce. The coffee is very average. I wouldn't come here to get a hipster drink. Save Wild Eggs when you are in the mood for orange juice (+\- champagne). They usually have pretty good deals on the weekends for Bloody Marys and Mimosas. read more

This place used to be so much better. Used to be a wait to get in on a weekend. Now, you can literally walk in and be seated immediately. Waited 10 minutes after being seated for water and there are currently more uncleaned (4) than seated tables around me. Food is... meh. Give me Yolk or Lincoln Square any day. EDIT: the food was actually worse than... meh. Cold pancake, cold toast, congealed queso, cold country fried steak. The only thing that was at should be was the Diet Coke. 2ND EDIT: The server was completely oblivious about clearing off an entire plate of food with only a couple of bites taken from it. read more

First time going and it was a pretty good experience. One of the few complaints I have is when you enter, if there's no one standing at the front to greet you, you'll be waiting awhile. The view is obstructed from anyone in the back to see you. Our server was excellent and gave us recommendations on the food. I saw enough menu items that made me want to come back and try other things. I had the cajun omelette which was surprisingly delicious. Coffee was just ok. read more

The KY Brown paired with the award winning Bloody Mary is a must. Also the everything muffin is the savory twin of the blueberry muffin! The frosting on the cinnamon roll is cream cheese based and not vanilla but that's not even a negative. Thanks Wild Eggs! read more

Ambiance - quiet restaurant but not in an intimate way. In a "afraid to talk too loud because someone might hear our whole conversation" way. So you have to whisper if you want to be comfortable conversing. Service - greeted and seated promptly. But then it took a long time for our order to be taken (it was not busy when we were there; around 8am on a Monday) and then it took even longer for our food to be delivered. No apologies or care in the world for the fact that we were served food outside of our dietary restriction. Seemed to generally just not care and could overhear in the next table the server saying "we're out of most things... do you want me to list all of the things we're out of?" Food - Coffee served cold. I had the Steak Bennie... which was bland and unseasoned. The meat was chewy.. like a grade below USDA Choice (not prime). There was a damp/soiled napkin on my plate next to my steak/eggs under my bowl of grits (so a tiny bowl of grits sitting on top of this damp napkin which was then on my larger plate). My wife ordered chilaquiles with pulled chicken. Server came back after a short while and said they were out of pulled chicken (see above -- they're out of most things) and asked if she just didnt want pork, in which case he said they could make it with turkey sausage. She went with his recommendation and later as she was eating she discovered bits of bacon in the chilaquiles (which doesnt make sense... the chilaquiles typically is either pulled chicken or chorizo... yet there's still bacon in it). Pointed this out and the server didn't apologize for our experience or seem to care. Asked if we'd like a discount or to have it remade. My wife said they should take it off the check. We got the check and it was only discounted 50%. Generally this is the absolute worst breakfast I have had in many YEARS. I would advise all other unsuspecting patrons (we didn't know better -- in from Chicago for the eclipse) to stay away from this place. read more

I went this morning, my food was great like always. I only had one issue, my server was in the back so I kindly ask one of the other serves if they could please let my server know that I needed him. I didnt get her name but she didnt have to give us no attitude she doesn't deserve to be there if thats how she's going to treat customers. Other than that everything else was great! read more

I came here for lunch and there was no wait. This place created a dilemma. There was so much good food on the menu, I did not know what to choose. It is a very updated and trendy place. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and taste very good. They also have a TV which you can watch at the breakfast bar. They are like an up upscale and trendy Denny's. However, they serve alcohol (Bloody Marys and Mimosas_. Party over there! I went with the apple crapes, bacon and skillet potatoes for lunch. It was all delicious. I know you pay a bit more for the food here than at other breakfast spots, but this place is well worth the extra change. The entire wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Not just to me, but everyone in the restaurant. I recommend that you pay this place a visit. read more

My wife and I love the Carmel location of Wild Eggs. Took a chance on this location and it did not pan out... We also normally stick to restaurants that offer free delivery via Dash Pass thru DoorDash. But we took a chance and paid for the delivery this time. Her meal was a build your own omelet, and it was a smaller portion than her side of potatoes, not to mention there's no meat in it, as she requested. My strawberry tall stack was one pancake, with cold compote on the side. And my grits look like something that sat out all day. But ultimately, what really upsets me the most is that they didn't seal the order. Most restaurants are sealing delivery orders to avoid tampering, especially with the pandemic. I can't speak on the dine-in experience, but if it's anything like this, I'd rather just avoid this location altogether. read more

I wanted to like Wild Eggs as I love me some brunch, but my visit was less than average. Service was extremely slow and somewhat unprofessional - referring to my visibly male friend as a lady was the most absurd aspect. The food was average. I do recommend the giant cinnamon roll. However, my meal (BLT with ACE) was nothing I couldn't have made at home. I was happy to see they had a decent bar but I didn't partake. Cannot day enough good things about the food or the service at Wild eggs. I really enjoyed that you can join the waitlist from your phone to help cut down on the in person wait time. My tables enjoyed a cinnamon roll skillet which NEVER disappoints to perfectly feed that sweet tooth! Then I had a grand mimosa - a perfect blend of the classic mimosa with grand marnier mixed in. I then had the crabby pattie Benedict which was such a fun treat! I really enjoy both crab cakes and eggs Benedict, so it was the perfect combo for a breakfast masterpiece. I also had a side of hash brown casserole and I really like how crispy on the outside it is while still staying so creamy on the inside. Great job! read more

This is a cute little restaurant with great service. You might think it is locally owned but it is a chain as one of my friends I was with had tried it at a different location. The service was excellent! Our waiter was so nice, sweet, and most of all patient with our large group. She was quick to take our order and bring us our drinks. The staff kept 2 pitchers of water on our table and the pitchers didn't look dirty or scroungy like at some places but very clean and put together. The food was also great. Lots of unique breakfast options are offered and everything is made from scratch (according to their sign.) The has brown casserole dish was great as well as several other dishes we tried. They also make a giant cinnamon role. You'll want to share this with your whole table. Warning though, it is VERY sweet. Not my taste but my friends really liked it. Apathetic food with a side of apathetic service. I'm not sure that I've ever walked into a restaurant and felt like the staff couldn't care less that I was there. The guys at the counter waited for me to greet them and they still looked at me like, "So... what do you want?" when I'm obviously there to eat breakfast. I'm not sure what's supposed to be "wild" about the eggs, but I ordered a western omelet with grits, and coffee. The coffee pitcher was left for me to self pour. Not a problem. But I didn't see the server the whole meal except to leave the bill. She didn't ask how the food was; she just left the bill and walked away. The food was flavorless. It's almost as if they were telling me with the food not to return. Don't worry. Message received. I definitely wasted money eating there because I hate cooking breakfast, but I should have last Sunday. The only positive was that the music was fabulous. Had I not been rocking in my seat, I may have just gotten up to leave, instead of waiting for the experience to improve. I usually find a different breakfast place to go to on the weekends after dropping my husband off at work. If you're like me, and you're just looking for something simple you don't want to have to make yourself, skip this place and maybe try: Cafe Patachou Lincoln Square Spoke & Steele ...just someplace else. read more
