No one was at the facility when I arrived (and no sign saying they stepped away), and after calling multiple times and leaving messages I was unable to get in touch anyone at the store. It has been over 40 minutes of trying to access the store, and now the movers are waiting (and I'm paying them by the hour). I had to send the movers to a different drop off point so that I didn't have to pay them to wait for someone at CubeSmart to show up. This made an already stressful move even more stressful.

We had a dedicated elevator, yet workers often brought items down only one or two at a time. I also saw team members on their phones or standing around in rooms and hallways instead of actively moving things. These delays added up quickly. The crew also misplaced parts of our bed frame, and the pieces had to be found before it could be reassembled. That alone added nearly an hour to the move. Because the move took much longer than expected, the final cost was significantly higher than the estimate we received. We were also charged based on an arrival time that was recorded as ten minutes earlier than when the crew actually arrived. The team was courteous, but given the inefficiency, added time, and higher final price, we would not use Bookstore Movers again. This is unfortunate, because we had been happy with them in previous moves.

Perhaps I interrupted her break? She seemed really irritated by the one question I asked in response to her asking me if I had any questions, rolling her eyes and mumbling under her breath openly throughout our entire interaction. In the middle of the process of me renting a storage space, she literally ran out of the store to yell at someone that she thought was about to park nearby. I thought about ducking out right then but honestly I was afraid she'd chase me down yelling too. Predictably, when the charges hit my card 2 days later it was a different price than I was quoted by Selam. I returned to the store with my contract and the paperwork printed and signed in that very location showing the discrepancy, only to be told by a large bearded kid behind the desk that he "was only a part-time employee" and that he "couldn't help me."
