I've been wanting to go to Wicked cafe since I saw their insta page. We were on our way to go shopping and needed to fuel before the long day that was ahead of us. We were lucky to find parkig right in front of the cafe. Its gets confusing at first where the entrance is since it is right adjacant to another restaurant with patio seating as well. When we entered I immediately liked the ambience, casual and with knick knacks around. And a wooden table in the middle with a lamp. Placed an order for chai latte, strawberry latte and spinach artichoke grilled cheese. The sandwich looked picturesque, drooling with cheese, and even had a cute watermelon pick! The strawberry latte came in this really nice glass bottle and had fresh strawberry puree and was delicious! Chai latte was ok. read more

Their pastries are as good as the decor! The whole cafe has a very warm rustic vibe. Aside from food, they also sell things such as dried flowers/pampas from local small businesses, as well as artwork too. Super cute and i love seeing local businesses supporting each other. Alright let's get to the goods Coffee here is a no bueno. I got their latte and i actually asked for it to be remade bc I thought a mistake was made. The coffee here is way too weak. Do not recommend. Their mocha on the other hand...delicious. It's the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. Definitely less on the sweet side, which is a plus for me. There's a reason why they're known for this! Wicked hot dog. Worth the try and this has probably been my favourite so far. Creamy cheese and the perfect savoury treat. Garlic bun: personally I found this to be a bit too rich but as a garlic lover, man on man do they ever deliver! This is another one of their signature. The bread itself is delicious and light. Couldn't finish all the cheese on the inside and I ended up eating around the filling but still good! Make sure you get it warmed up though ;) All in all would I return? They have the BEST cinnamon buns with little bits of apple! I order 1 dozen the day before and pick up next day!

Ok these are probably one of the most delicious cinnamon buns I've had! Super moist and creamy! Plus there is a slight raisin kick in it which is super awesome. The homemade caramel sauce is the finishing masterpiece the entire bun was so decadent and delicious. I don't recall ever having something so rich and tasty from a bun and still feel like having another after! 100% recommend checking this cafe out it's super cute and the cinnamon buns are so good (protip: heat it in the microwave for a bit and boom heaven). * 9/10 - I am obsessed with the raisin and caramel combo! I wish it was a bit warmer when we got it but regardless DELICIOUS! read more

I want to love you, Wicked, I do, but your food is consistently atrocious. Tried it once more today (after many months break to let you improve after that amildly traumatic wrap experience) and got a breakfast sandwich. This turned out to be a dry English muffin filled with rubbery egg, low grade processed cheese and mushy, unseasoned potatoes. (There's a reason it's not common to add that to a sandwich, guys!) I'd almost opted for the breakfast burrito, which would have had beans and spinach but I was halted by something ominous sounding: pickled radish. Not sure I trust your chef to pull that off. After trying to eat your simplest breakfast sandwich, I have to say I'm going to stick to non-wicked foods, going forward. I also find their decor and artwork quite off-putting. But at least my drink was decedent and one of the two staff members was nice to me! read more

The Tom & Jerry Cheesecake was not cheesy; it was floury and tasted stale. It looked cute indeed but it was not worthwhile. Its cute shape was the sole selling feature. Also, the sign in front of the cake said $6.5 while it showed $7 on the board. When we asked them about the price, they said they had not change the sign so it would be $7. Then they just left the wrong sign there. They should change the sign (which is simple and easy to do) instead of misleading customers. Moreover, the size of each slice was different - some were smaller than the others while they all had the same price. Their Canadian Breakfast tea was tasteless, and the forks that they gave us were dirty so we needed to ask them to change them. Overall, this place is overpriced and overrated. read more

Neighborhood cafe located in Fairview area, Wicked Cafe serves Korean inspired dessert and sandwiches. I got two of their best sellers, and they were both so good. The cheesecake was not too sweet and leaning towards salty cake dessert. The strawberry pot was so unique, and their tiramisu layers are filled with mascarpone and some fruits (I believe it was appricot). Will be back to try their other items! read more

First visit with my gf based on review. Had a beef sandwich not impressed. Like fridge food really. Bread is quite chewy. Yikes! Gf ordered a blueberry lemon scone and earl grey cookie. Scone lemon is overpowered and fell apart, didn't taste good at all. At the end gf didn't finish the cookie. She grabbed a paper bag to go. The young worker was staring at her with a funny look. Then he went to the counter and grabbed all the paper bags and hide them. Why? If you don't want ppl to use the paper bags, don't leave them over the counter. Overall bad experience. To sum it up, food is mediocre, service is bad. I will not visit again or recommend friends. Period. read more

One of my favourite Cafes in Vancouver! The ambience and setting of the cafe is super relaxing and cute with a very "down to earth" feeling to it. Their owner Doh is also super friendly and makes very nice latte art. By far though, my favourite are their cream puffs! They offer a variety of flavour, varying every now and then. the cream puffs I got were, Peanut Butter, Raspberry, Blueberry, Chocolate, Coffee, Vanilla, Oreo and Matcha! All of them are super soft with a crispy outer layer of the pastry! Cream is not super sweet and has the best flavours! My personal favourite is the Coffee and Peanut Butter Cream puff (it is decorated like a panda bear) The lattes are also very good with a strong coffee flavour! I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I still finished my latte! Cute and nicely decorated cafe with friendly staff. Reasonable prices and portion. A few options for drinks, desserts, and wraps. Cute desserts and the cheese cake tastes really good. The wraps are generic and the spicy ramen is fine but the ramen was a bit too soft and mushy. Quite a few people so some take it to go. A couple tables and a washroom. Street parking around the area but it's not the most convenient location. It's cute but not a place I'd frequent or travel all the way for. The cafe sell some art too. read more

In truth, I didn't try the food. It looks good. The coffee is right out of Blenz, if you like acrid. I found it undrinkable. There was an ant near the sugar and the wifi doesn't work very well (I had to tether my laptop to my phone. The customer service was the only plus that I could find. read more

This is a great place! My parents and I stopped by on a sunny Sunday at 1:30 PM. The place was pretty quiet. Service was prompt and the food was tasty. Would definitely recommend. Atmosphere and Location: Very quaint little corner cafe, lots of free 2-hour parking nearby. The cafe itself is small (can probably seat at most 15 people outdoor + indoors) but has some cute and colorful art along the walls and high ceilings so it doesn't feel claustrophobic. Tables are nice and large. Service: Our cashier/server was very kind and patient. Very good suggestions and was cheerful. The food was prepared quite quickly. Food: We each ordered a soup and a sandwich. Prices were very fair. What I really appreciated was the selection of 4 different soups available and the 3 different sizes. I ordered the chicken coconut curry and the veggie panini (eggplant, peppers and pesto). The food was very tasty! Light but filling. I also had the dark roast coffee which wasn't as strong as I normally like it but pleasant nonetheless. It was mid winter yet absolutely boiling inside! Apparently there is nothing they can do about the temperature. Didn't think it was appropriate to take off my clothes in a public setting, so I had to roll up my sleeves as high as I could. Love the fact that they have flat whites! (Similar to a strong latte, but easier than saying: "Latte with two shots, no foam and not so much milk, please." A large will set you back $4.20. It was creamy, yet strong. Gooooood. They also have long blacks. Don't know who thought of bringing in the Aussie style drinks, but I'm glad they did. They also have wraps, quiches, cookies, and other cafe fare. Love the way that the milk foams at the top - you get a beautiful design. Almost don't want to drink it and ruin the pattern! My vegetarian daughter loved her black bean wrap. Vegan tofu wrap was pretty good for a quick meal. It's basically just unseasoned tofu, kidney beans and refried beans stuffed in a wrap. A tiny bit of spice but it's barely noticeable unless you're really sensitive. Flavours were on the mild side. I think the wrap could be improved by adding more vegetables like corn, kale or spinach, but otherwise it's a decent vegan option if you're in a pinch, and it's definitely packed with protein. read more

love this place - it's my neighbourhood haunt and (sh!) i think it's the best coffee in the city. i always have a latte and they make fun patterns on it for me! not a huge space, maybe holds 20 people but it's always packed. about 6 seats outside, again, even in cooler winter there is usually someone sitting outside with their dogs. i've had the muffins and really enjoyed them and the other food in the display case looks appetizing but i haven't indulged yet. just drove and it's open on July 1st - and full! love this place! i believe they have wifi and i've met some interested people in there. try to schedule local meetings when i can as it's comfortable and they don't deter lounging and working. read more

Sure, there's a Starbucks (or two... or three) around the corner from my apartment, but I love nothing better on a sunny (or rainy) Sunday morning than to buy a copy of the weekend paper and head just east of South Granville Street to The Wicked Cafe. Small, cozy, and usually crowded (but in a good way), I try to get there early so i can get a comfy seat by the window (when patrons snag a table, they usually settle in for the long haul, so don't count on loitering around in wait of a space to clear). Things that keep me coming back to Wicked? The carrot cake (mmm... cream cheese frosting!) and the Big Latte. I heart the Big Latte. Also, if I'm not lucky (or early) enough to get a spot, I just get my order to go and am perfectly content to window shop along South Granville. Came here for a quick fix to deal with a hunger craving for lunch during wine school, closest thing to walk to, didn't want to walk anymore, I have heard great things, stop, open door, look, order. It is a nice cafe, with the big old communal table in the middle, and people 'chilling' out here with the Macbooks, and laptops sipping brew and eating what is on the menu. I found that the food items were a tad on the high priced side for what is being offered. I had a coffee and a cheese scone. It did fill me, but it wasn't that satisfying... or as they say 'wicked' for my taste. The daily soups are to die for. The soups are packed with various vegetables and chicken and are stewed together. You can feel the heartiness just by looking at them. The cafe serves usually 3-5 different kinds of soup for the lunch, and they usually are sold out by 1 pm. I usually go for the country chicken soup. I however did notice the shop seems to have been having new staff quiet frequently and not sure if it has somehow hurt the business operation. My girlfriend and I were visiting from Los Angeles and was just feeling a tad homesick when we found this gem. I don't know why there aren't more reviews for this place! It's tucked in, parallel a busy street and in the most perfect location. The baristas are very friendly, the ambiance is great, and most importantly.. The coffee is amazing! Intelligentsia for the win! Plus, the baristas are perfectionists! We thought our drink came out great, but I guess he felt it wasn't camera ready (I had taken out my camera to capture the latte art) and therefore gave us another! Now that's service! I'm pretty sure that is what every patron of Wicked Café is thinking. But that's fine with me! The staff are nice and make reliably wonderful and artful lattes. I can't help but notice that every time I'm in here or walking by that the café is full of computer-accompanied loners. You can feel comfortable settling in to get some work done -- you won't be the only one glued to your electronic world! So I've been frequenting this place since they opened. Intelly coffee and baked goods. Until recently.. Where are the good loaves??? Each morning I either have with my latte a waffle or banana bread loaf. There's now no longer any chocolate/ banana Ioaves, but a more expensive dry piece of nasty. What gives???? I hate to say, but my favorite cafe is on the downslide. More changes like they've been doing and *aghast* Starbucks looks good. I have been going to this cafe for the past few years, one or two times every month, out of convenience. Before I list some of Wicked's drawbacks, I must state that the owner(s) and baristas take their tea and coffee very seriously. I respect this and am fairly loyal because of this. However...the crowd always seems to be comprised of curt business people, haughty hipsters and tech geeks. Weird mix. There are also the regulars who simply lounge around because of the free wi-fi. The food is very average: dry muffins, tiny selection of cakes/pies and dry waffles. Why waffles, anyway? One more peeve...they only put out cream and skim milk for their beverages. This is bad for tea drinkers, and I like 3% for my coffee. This cafe could be so much better, and should be more than simply "convenient". If they obtained some good baking (see Solly's and Grounds of Coffee for some hints, guys) and changed a few little things, it could be outstanding. The icky, loitering regulars really do bother me though...good thing I never hang around to enjoy my beverages. read more

I usually love this cafe, but was so disappointed with my most recent trip. My coffee was not at all up to its usual (typically great) standard, and when I got home to eat my apple almond pie, I discovered it had not one but two hairs in it (one baked in) and the bottom had a big layer of crystallized sugar on the bottom so that it was extremely crunchy and sticky (not how they usually turn out). Super sad to see this as its one of my favorite local cafes. For $10 for a pastry and coffee, I expect better. Had to toss the pastry and half a coffee. Since I've had other good experiences, I'll probably give it another go with hopes of a better day. Typically would probably give this cute little cafe 4 or 5 stars so hopefully this is a one off! read more
