I really want to like this place but I think it is an ok place. Great cafe for those living in this part but not fantastic enough to make a special trip out here. The pastry and croissant were average. The dacquoise which they seemed to specialize in, was forgettable. The drinks were also just ok. My friends raved about the food though they could not even remember what was good. So I took it with a pinch of salt. Taste is a subjective thing after all. The place is not big and it can get busy, especially on weekends. Parking is available in the strip mall lot.

I dropped by on a Sunday morning as I noticed they were finally open again (they were previously open for a bit before COVID restrictions shut them down). It's a pleasant quiet space with tasteful wall decor. They have plexiglass barriers for protection at the cashier and seats are spaced out. I went for the breakfast sandwich and it was so delicious! Just a touch of spice and the dijon gave a nice kick. I will definitely be back!

The Jupiter! This roast beef and salami sandwich was delicious and fresh

If you want great sandwiches and desserts to go with your pick-me-up drinks, Ambit Cafe will be your new fav third place! We had matcha latte and affogato together with the Jupiter sandwich and chocolate molten lava cake! They were all so good, fresh, and delicious! Service was speedy and friendly. Ambience at cafe is a perfect combination of modern and warm - truly great for meetups with friends and a day-out working on your laptop or journaling! Can't wait to go back there again.

What a great little Cafe in Kensington Plaza! The Ambit Cafe is close to SunTea and Cobs Bread. It is also near a bus stop on Hastings. A friend of mine took me here to have some brunch before we head out and he said to try their Matcha Latte and Breakfast Sandwich. I ended up getting a small Matcha with a bit of sweetener and a grilled cheese sandwich. My friend ordered a Matcha with their special, Breakfast Sandwich. The matcha was more milky than matcha, which tastes fine. I like that they have a sweetener option as matcha can have a bitter taste sometimes. I really enjoyed my grilled cheese sandwich! Who doesn't like grilled cheese?! It was made fresh with melting cheese. It makes me want to come back to get some more here when I am on the road, looking for something quick and easy to consume. I am very happy that I now know another cute cafe in North Burnaby!

Strictly reviewing for their dacquoise as I haven't gotten the chance to visit the cafe yet but they are so delicious! I've never even heard of this dessert until last night one of my friends brought a whole box of them to our party. It is like a soft almond cookie with a flavoured buttercream filling. I really liked the flavours that my friend brought, there was matcha, earl grey, blueberry balsamic and tiramisu. I only was able to try the tiramisu flavour but it was incredibly delicious, the cookie had a soft texture but wasn't overpowerly sweet, and the flavoured buttercream was done really well. Ambit is the first place I've heard of carrying this dessert and I was really impressed with the quality of it as well. I definitely will stop by to try more items on their menu so there will be another review to come soon!

Been wanting to try this place for ages and finally got a chance to go! @ambit.cafe is a little cafe in Kensington plaza very close to Cobs bread. Its cozy atmosphere makes for a great place to hang out and catch up. My mom and I tried out their sandwiches and they were bomb! We tried their Chicken Cosmos and the Ambit Supernova (these names are intense hahaha). (Not sure if it's because of COVID, but they use disposable plates at the moment to serve their food.)

Great variety of food. Got the power salad, refresh salad and chicken sandwich for about $40. Decently sized and flavourful.

The pastries are delicious and crafted so beautifully. I came here for hot chocolate festival and the flavours were spot on. A tad sweet but it's hot chocolate. I also tried their limited time sticky rice croissant which had all the umami flavours one could want! Texture of the croissant was crunchy, butter and full of flavour. Sadly, the sticky rice texture mixed with croissant was not the best. The service here is great. Staff are friendly. The only downside to this store is the way their line up system works. They have 2 store areas, connected by the till. It's a bit hard to pass through when there are people waiting in line to pay, waiting on line to order, etc. Just a bit of awkward spacing

It's always busy but today it looked quiet at random so stumbled in. So glad i finally decided to. Cozy cute cafe where you can study and bring your labtop/ introvert friendly or quick catchup with the girls / cute coffee date etc ... The cafe is currently participating in the hot chocolate festival too but i ordered a matcha latte along with a cruffin apple cheesecake and ooo it was so delicious and bouncy airy. The center had fresh bits of apple and there was a creamy cream cheese filling and you get this texture that's a combo of crossiant and muffin .. if you love apple or even caramel etc i think it would really suit your pallette. I will order some pastries to go next time when i have more time. Staff is super friendly and patient. They handled the loads of questions i had. Super clean place too. Free parking upfront and there's parking downstairs too.

There is also a E facing table and patio umbrella outside, but it wasn't set up during this rainy season. The room is quite stuffy (lack of ventilation), so they had the door propped open. This place is quite cramped. Staff are friendly. I think they're Korean. Coffee here is pretty decent. No complaints. Didn't try the food. Place might be worth coming by alone or maybe in a group of 2 at most. Otherwise I would highly recommend takeout.

It was kind of chilly inside because they had the door propped open despite it being cold out, but I can imagine it might have been stuffy for the staff in the kitchen area. The barista was very nice! I got the Sooyo croissant, an egg tart, and a milk tea. I loved the Sooyo croissant - I'm weak to the brie/fig combo and this had just the right balance of all the ingredients on a warm and soft croissant. The egg tart was also really nice with a hint of cinnamon. It was bite-sized which was good for a small treat. I also loved the milk tea. It was very strong, and the brown sugar syrup enhanced the flavour! It was worth the trip for me for a relaxing snack stop!
