Came for coffee and a quick bite. There's no cold brew available before 10 AM, so had an iced americano which was good. Got the ham and cheese croissant and asked the worker for it to be heated. It was okay, but have definitely had much better.
Nice location overall, coffee presentation was nice as well as cheesecake. Service was decent, not over the top but was just good enough. Good for a quick treat!
Been a big fan of Trees Organic cheesecake since they opened their first location. Their cheesecake is not overly sweet, is light, but still taste creamy enough. Had Happy Hour with a girl friend and we were still feeling peck-ish so decided to walk down to Trees Organic for tea and cheesecake. This location has cute little booths and I got the Blueberry cheesecake with a Jasmine flower green tea. The cheesecake was made with fresh blueberries and though not hungry nor have much of a sweet tooth, I easily polished off the slice of cheesecake and the mug of Jasmine flower green tea was nice and fragrant. At $7.95 per cheesecake slice it's reasonable for the quantity and quantity of the sweet treat.
Great coffee shop to have dessert and tea after long walks around the city. Seating area was a little tight near the windows but we made it work.
I really like Trees! I've been to a few of the other locations and now am working near this one so it looks like this might become my new regular location. I like the atmosphere inside. There's an area with comfortable armchairs in the back, and little booths tucked into the wall, plus regular tables and counter seating out front, and a few patio tables. It's all very clean. It seems popular with both laptop workers and bigger groups/families. So far I've had the spinach feta quiche, key lime cheesecake, vegan blueberry scone, iced chai latte, and iced americano here. I've had slightly mixed experiences with the cheesecake depending on the location, but the key lime here was great - it had a nice fluffy texture. Their slices are a good size for me where the portion isn't excessive but big enough that I'm not left wanting more. The quiche was also really good, but I would advise to only order it if you really like feta because the feta tang was very prominent (I liked it, but it's a strong and maybe particular taste). Americano and chai were both great, the americano had a good crema on top and the chai wasn't too sweet. The chai wasn't really spicy like an authentic Indian chai but it was still made well - brewed strong and lightly aromatic. The blueberry scone was okay - it had an interesting texture that was almost like a soft-baked cookie (not as sweet though) but was made with dried blueberries and would have been so much better if they had used fresh (or even frozen). This is really the only reason I give 4 stars, it just seems like such a missed opportunity, although it's still worth a try if you want a scone. I will probably be back here on occasion as I really like all of their food and the prices are pretty reasonable for the quality.
I love unique tea lattes and a huge fan of Black Sesame latte. Therefore, when I saw that Trees served Black Sesame it enticed me to walk in. I also LOVE taro and was interested in that as well. The barista was honest and told me that she loves taro more. Initially, I ordered and quickly cancelled bc I was on the waitlist at Tom's across the street and needed to go but the barista was so nice I had to come back after dinner. She gave me 10% off my Taro latte and wanted to make sure I enjoyed the drink and it was very yummy and tasty! I'll definitely be back again in the future. Will try the Black Sesame latte next time.
Really good cheesecake! A little too big for me to finish all by myself.. Very nice spot to sit and chat with friends and share some cheesecake
Came in for a quick coffee thinking it would be good, but I left disappointed. The organic brewed coffee was warm and tasted like the brew from ikea which was served in a cracked cup. The Oreo cheesecake was decent but some areas were hard, like it didn't defrost properly. We also ordered the Italian wedding soup and it was served cold. This was very unsatisfying especially because we were looking for something hot to sip on in the cold. Overall, we were not satisfied with the products at this location. I'll give the other locations a shot, but definitely not expecting much. I'd rather go elsewhere for coffee.
Love the taste of their coffee and I was trying raspberry cheesecake for the first time and it was really good. It was not too sweet which I hated in chocolate cheesecakes (wherever I tried) . Note: I only tried raspberry here and I liked it. I might give chocolate also a try later to update in my review for everyone. That will give me a fair comparison. I like the ambiance here. You have couch and chairs to sit, music playing in the background and from what I saw, it looked it, it was popular amongst college kids or youngsters. For me I was on a coffee date with my husband and I we both loved this place. Definitely going there again.
The food is very good, with a good selection of sweet and savory. Perfect for breakfast or lunch. The drinks are nice and tasty. Our only issue was 2 out of 4 drink orders were made incorrectly. The serving staff were friendly and fixed the drink order problem swiftly.
I went here last month for a cheesecake fix, and I got Key Lime Cheesecake ($7 I think?) it was tasty. I've been noticing recently that cheesecake portion had been smaller than before. I like their cheesecakes, however the slice is too small for $7. Service was friendly. Sometimes finding tables is hard , since TO is always full of international students. Easier to find seats if you go solo dining.
I am a little embarrassed to say that we came to this spot known for cheesecake and ended up not getting a slice of cheesecake. But the alternative was incredibly delicious! We disembarked from our cruise on my birthday. We had dinner and needed a sweet treat to end my birthday. I looked into the glass display and saw this delicious looking Reese's peanut butter cup but the size of a cupcake. We decided to get two of those and I blew out my invisible candles before diving into this delectable treat. It wasn't overly sweet which was really refreshing. It had a nice fudge bottom layer then peanut butter and topped with walnuts and a chocolate drizzle. It was a great size too. We sat outside on the patio since it was so warm inside. I liked having the fresh air anyways. Great little spot for dessert and they have a few locations around town.
They had me at "Voted Best Cheesecake in Vancouver." Seriously pulled me in off the street. They are a cute little cafe offering coffee and tea drinks, plus a wide assortment of baked goods, sandwiches, wraps, and cheesecake! They had to have like 10 different types of cheesecake available. I am a sucker for Key Lime anything, so a slice of that and a latte was breakfast. Delicious. And the perfect size. The homemade whipped cream was also a nice touch. Airy and chilled to to perfection. The team of two working the counter were quick and friendly. I have no basis for comparison, so this is by default the best cheesecake in Vancouver! read more
I visited Trees Organic Coffee for breakfast and ordered the Veggie Delight (Vegetarian) croissant sandwich. It was served warm, with sliced tomatoes, fresh spinach, and creamy cheese inside a buttery, flaky croissant--simple but delicious. I also had a hot organic coffee, which was smooth and paired nicely with the sandwich. They offer a combo deal when you order coffee and food together, which I'll try next time. The café has a calm, cozy atmosphere--perfect for a relaxing start to the day. read more
Literally for the chocolate chip cookie alone I would give a 5/5. This is 100% my kind of cookie, not a lot of chocolate and more base, soft with a good chew...and I got the last one so win/win bye also I wanted to buy more for my freezer and couldn't. Also grabbed the walnut cheesecake that was fluffy and full of walnuts, I liked the whipped cream covered in maple syrup a lot. Also grabbed a chocolate banana loaf that was standard and a veggie wrap for the girl (she's the healthy one) she said it was good. Overall solid experience and would happily come again. read more

Holy, what a delicious cheesecake slice! Got the blueberry, and was not disappointed! Very soft and velvety, not too sweet. However, the price is quite steep, and the cappuccino wasn't my favourite (too much foam for my liking). Otherwise it has a nice interior and the location is great considering the mountain views are just a step outside. Would recommend if you're in the area and want to satisfy that cheesecake craving (and price isn't an issue haha)! read more

I saw this riding the bus and had to get off to try! The cheesecake and coffee did not disappoint. I asked for what the most popular flavor was, which was the White Chocolate Raspberry. Holy cheesecake this was delicious. I love creamy cheesecakes and this was absolutely amazing. I loved the graham cracker crust bottom. You could tell and taste that it was handmade. I got a latte to enjoy with the cheesecake and loved the strong coffee flavor. I definitely need to find a cheesecake and coffee store combo back home or I'll be back here sometime soon. read more
Trees is just over the road from another coffee shop, Quantum Coffee, but is a completely different vibe. Quantum is very minimalistic and clean, whereas Trees is... more comfortable. There's a nice theme in the cafe, a roasting machine for display at the back of the place with some bagged blends on a shelf which sounds cool, but the rest of the place lets it down. The tables are dirty, the time I was sat there I heard a few customers ask for a cloth to wipe their tables while the baristas chatted behind the till. The table I was sat on had pen marks all over which made it appear even dirtier. I initially asked the cashier if there were any dairy-free options, eyeing the cabinet full of various cheesecakes in the doorway. "Uhh..." she responded, leaning her elbow on the counter and her cheek in her hand. "No that's all we have." Ok, so I ordered a fruit pot that she hadn't offered. $4.50 for a handful of honeydew chunks. "Do you have any outlets I could use?" I asked optimistically. "Uhhh...." she moved slightly to look behind me. "I don't know where they are. There might be one over there." She gestured to the front half of the cafe. Ok, never mind then. I put my bag down and the thankfully polite manager called out my drink. The cup looked like it had been in use since the 80s, with cracks and discolouration all over it. There were dribbles of coffee down the side of the cup that she hadn't bothered to clean up, further lending to the atmosphere of "builders cafe" I was feeling. On a positive note there was a self-serve ice water tank at the end of the register that looked pretty well looked-after. The music wasn't too bad, it kept your mind off how the different wood fixtures didn't match. I think I'll stick to Revolver coffee in Vancouver. read more
So growing up, I was never a fan of cheesecake just because cheesecakes are way too dense for me and the flavours are too rich. I mean don't get me wrong I have a sweet tooth but I prefer subtle sweets like sweet buns and usually something fruity but then I had a few bites to share one time and it wasn't so bad! I had a lot of the chocolate cheesecake to share and it is pretty good. It is dense and a bit on the sweet side but if you have it occasionally, it's actually kind of nice! Each slice is heavy so if you are petite like me, then it is best to share with a buddy. I also like their hot apple cider drink. So good for the soul. Great staff. Washrooms are usually clean. I will come again. read more
I'm a big fan of Tree Organic's cheesecakes! I used to go Richard and Gastown cafe, Arbutus location going downward for service and cheesecake. Therefore, I tried Granville café this time. I found new barista was friendly and cheesecake still good. The only problem for this location is hard to find parking. Actually, no parking on Granville St. Tree Organic, please don't disappointing me! read more

We passed by this coffee/cheesecake store on the way to dinner ... and we were completely sucked in by their claim to fame of having the "best cheesecake." Since we had some time, we went in and looked at the cheesecake selection. The flavors and variety looked delicious, so we decided to come back after dinner and get take-out dessert from here, since it would still be early. This quaint bakery would be the perfect place for both, getting dessert and as a breakfast spot. There wasn't much of a pastry selection by the time we walked in for dessert, but from the remnants of baked goods, I could tell there was a good variety of both, sweet and savory items. Our main goal, however, was cheesecake, and we also ordered a few of their house coffees to go. We enjoyed the cheesecake from the comfort of our hotel rooms. While the cheesecake was yummy and tasted fresh, it wasn't quite like The Cheesecake Factory (I love my favorites from there). This cheesecake was lighter and fluffier, reminding me a little more of Asian cheesecakes in that the flavors were more muted and they weren't as sweet, rich or indulgent as a classic American cheesecake. Nonetheless, it satisfied our craving for something sweet after dinner. Here's what we got: Chocoholic: I love chocolate, so I shared a few bites of this cheesecake with one other family member. It had a delicious, silky, smooth chocolate flavor, but it's not as dense as I expected it to be. The crust had to be my favorite part - it tasted like crumbled Oreo cookie pieces. The cheesecake's texture reminded me more of a mousse than a cheesecake because it sported that lighter, whipped consistency. But, at least I didn't feel as heavy or gross after consuming this dessert because it tasted lighter. Usually, I feel super heavy after consuming a dense American cheesecake ... but the craving is always satisfied. This time, I was happy for a dessert to provide sweet relief to my savory dinner, but I also felt like my cheesecake craving was only intensified. Mango: One of our family members ordered this cheesecake, and she was really happy with its flavor. I think she was the most satisfied out of all of us because she enjoys lighter, fruitier flavors ... and she really likes mango. She liked the buttery crust and ate all of her cheesecake in one sitting. She said the mango flavor was delicious and recommended it as a great summer flavor. Raspberry White Chocolate: I don't like white chocolate so I steered clear of this flavor, but two of our group members ordered this because they love the white chocolate and raspberry combo. This cheesecake featured the same Oreo cookie-crumble like crust as the Chocoholic had. They said this cheesecake was good, but again, it wasn't as rich and dense as they expected it to be. I think they also like strong raspberry flavors--a little more tart, offset by the rich, creamy white chocolate--so this one wasn't strong enough for them. But, if you want something with berries but don't want to fully commit to a full-on fruit flavor, this is the perfect choice. Mocha: If I had the chance to revisit this place, this is the flavor I would choose. It looked delicious in the bakery display case. Since I love coffee flavors, I'm sure I would like this cheesecake. When I do get coffee, I often order mochas because it's the perfect marriage of coffee and chocolate, so I'm sure this cheesecake would be a hit. Spinach and Feta Scone: If I wanted something savory, this scone would be first up on my list. It contains two of my favorite quiche ingredients - spinach and feta. In general, I do like scones because 1) I love carbs and 2) I don't usually mind if these breakfast pastries are a little on the drier side. But, this scone (there were a few left during the time of my visit) looked yummy. It looked dense and chockfull of the mix-ins, and I also thought they were a decent size. Definitely would opt for this choice for breakfast! read more

REVIEWER # 129 Come for the coffee but leave with a cheesecake! Yesss, people! Those delicious cheesecakes are a MUST. I was torn to have to choose between the many flavors that they have here. I wish I wasn't so disgruntled about my waistline, because I could have stored about 7 of those delicious thangs in my hotel and ate them during my vacation. I'm such a phatty! But I can't help it when there are places like Trees Organic Coffee teasing me. Trees Organic Coffee is known as the BEST coffee shops in the downtown Vancouver area. Be prepared for the morning rush, the coffee addicts are rushing to make sure they have their daily crack before heading to work. They have their specialty coffee: Latte, Cappuccino, Mocha and Caramel Latte in either a size: Tall, Grande or Trees. They also specialize in specialty drinks such as: Hot chocolate, plain milk, steamed milk. Right now, they have some exciting "summertime favorites" which are: Fruit smoothies, Cappuchillo (a tasty coffee frappe) and Italian Soda or Italian Cream Soda. A little bit for everyone to enjoy! But, let's talk about what they are known for! Yes, Honey! Those delicious cheesecakes that you can spot as soon as you walk in! Those cheesecakes are to die for, literally! Don't let the price of $7 steer you the wrong way. I thought about the price as well and nearly walked out the door, until my stomach said, "Nooooo". They have many varieties of flavors from: white and dark chocolate and maple walnut, just to name a few. I appreciated that the lovely lady staff let me sample all these different flavor cheesecakes, since I was indecisive. Trust me-they are not too heave on the stomach and are quite filling. Not too sweet, it was just right! They have other food options to choose from, such as: Scone and muffins. They also have free-Wi-Fi! read more

Great coffee shop in the heart of downtown Vancouver. My coworkers always come here when we want to go on a quick coffee run or want to grab some snacks for the office. The interior is a throwback rustic industrial look which is pretty nice, although perhaps the seats are a bit uncomfortable if you stay for too long. I mostly take my stuff to go so I don't really stay in the shop all too often. I honestly must say though that the cheese cake is really the item that I must highlight. I've had a slice of the chocolate cheese cake and I can say that it's honestly really good. A slice of cake is $7.00 so it's not something I can really afford to have everyday but this makes for a great treat after a long day of work. Overall, a great option if you are in the Granville and West Hastings area. Did I mention the products are organic and fair trade? read more

Their cheesecakes were pretty delicious, especially since they make everything in house. I was especially impressed that they puree their own mangoes for the mango cheesecake and don't used canned indian mango pulp as a lot of places do. I wasn't super impressed that their crust was soggy. The ambience of the place inside is really nice. And you can't even tell there is a ton of construction going on outside unless you look. But yeah, outside is a mess. Can't wait till Canada Line construction is complete. read more

Tried the Oreo cheesecake here. It was rich, thick with cheese and a good mix of sweetness and tartness. Pretty yummy although I couldn't finish the whole slice cause it was too rich. The cafe itself is pretty quaint and when I dropped by here for the cheesecake, they had a live guitar singer singing on the small stage. The tables here were pretty full so it seems quite popular. Would come again to try another flavor of cheesecake read more
