I was really fond of this coffee shop a few years ago but hadn't been in a while and decided to go back to see if it was as good as I remembered. Mixed experience - my beverage and dessert were great, I was not impressed with the sandwich. I was also very put off by one of the women working wearing her mask under her nose, which I did not notice until after I had paid. I had the Vegetarian Breakfast Muffin, which was the only vegetarian lunch item they had: egg, avocado, and cherry tomatoes on an English muffin. Sauce was really tasty and egg was seasoned well, but everything seemed kind of haphazardly thrown together, like they didn't know what to do for a vegetarian sandwich so they just threw in whatever vegetables they had. The cherry tomatoes were halved which meant they were too thick to really stay in the sandwich and they just fell out as soon as I tried to take a bite, and I'm not sure what the deal was with the avocado slices - they were very thin and kind of hard. Fortunately, the rest of my order met expectations. For dessert, I had a slice of Opera Cake, which had a nice mesh of chocolate and coffee flavours and perfect consistency with the layers of cake and chocolate frosting. Also a great portion size - not impractically huge but definitely enough to satisfy. I tried their ginger colada which is basically a ginger pineapple slush. I'm not really a fan of pineapple on its own in smoothies but I liked it here since the sweetness was balanced by the zing of the ginger and the acidity was diluted enough that it didn't bother me. It also seemed to have a slightly creamy feel even though there's no milk. The standard cup size for this was also very large, and they really fill it to the brim. I stand by my old opinion that their baked goods and drinks are excellent, but I would skip lunch next time (although everything else in the display case looked more promising than what I got). I'll also add that their prices are very good for what you get. Also I would probably wait until we're through with masks to come back just in case, or at least see if I could make sure that everyone is wearing their masks properly before going in. read more

I had never been out of the country before so I was excited to go to Vancouver because I heard about all of the amazing food. We stopped by this place as we were driving back to Seattle to fly back home and it's so good! There was only one person taking orders/cashiering and he was so attentive and kind. Made sure he got our orders right. We didn't wait long and took our food to go. I ate my croissant sandwich in the car and oh my god, it was delicious! Warm, soft, flakey, and flavorful croissant sandwich. I am hoping to go back to Vancouver again because it's such a gorgeous city and would definitely come back here! read more

I was looking for a Starbucks but they closed the location closest to this one so I found this coffee shop instead. And you know what? It wasn't bad. In fact it was pretty good. The staff was friendly and efficient. My drink came out exactly as I ordered it. They didn't even have to write my name on the cup to remember who I was. So if you are in the hood, try this place. They can even make your drink with nut milk. read more

This is a small neighborhood coffee shop with a few outdoor tables and fantastic drinks and breakfast pastries. We had the cinnamon roll and a sundried tomato ciabatta roll with a latte and hot chocolate. The food was fresh and delicious and the drinks were better than expected. The gentlemen behind the counter was very kind and meticulous about making sure we were happy with our choices. The baristas were incredibly nice and interactive, the coffee was good and you can tell the ppace had some fun (canadiano instead of americano) which added to the charm of this place. The woman who helped me here was so friendly :) I got a medium cappuccino and a mixed berry muffin that had just been made. Cappuccino was good. The mixed berry muffin was excellent! You could really taste the real berries in there. Nice and fluffy texture on the inside. Also I asked what a Canadiano was and she said like a Americano but we're in Canada. Our hotel was a block away from 7 Days, so,we decided to grab breakfast. We each got the ham and egg croissant. It was not what we were expecting, but it was perfect. It is served cold with hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese, lettuce cucumbers, tomatoes, and a slightly sweet sauce that made the sandwich. It was refreshing and delicious. The service was beyond friendly and very fast. I'd happily return!!! read more

This is a cute, little coffee shop that's opened later than most other coffee shops around. The girl who works here is super nice (the guy who's here some nights is also friendly). My teenage kids and I have been here a few times now. The coffees really are good, and we love how there's a royalty card (they stamp them each time you purchase a coffee, and they keep them behind the counter so you don't have to remember to bring it with you each time you visit). They have a lot of pastries and cakes and cookies here. Most are delicious but I've had one or two that were a tad beyond their freshness window (perhaps they were made that morning. We typically visit here late before they close). Despite this, we still keep on ordering their pastries and cakes as they look so good! :) read more

First time trying blueberry matcha latte and 7 days coffee has wowed me. If you're tired of the typical matcha taste 'cause let's be real there's lots of matcha popping around in Vancouver in the past few years and it's become a bit boring. The blueberry gives it a hint of sweetness and brightens the drink. I pre-ordered my drink so there was no wait time involved or any interaction with the staff. Really friendly and accommodating gentleman helped me and even gave me my own container of cream when I expressed concern about how much I wanted in my americano (it was delicious BTW). From the outside this coffee shop doesn't look like much 'cause it doesn't fit the normal decor of modern interior or signage of a coffee shop, however, I took a chance simply 'cause it did not look like any other shop and I have been surprised before. This place is small, there is some seating, however, this is more of a grab and go situation. The guy who served me which I am assuming is the owner was super nice and sweet to me. There is a warmth that you don't get from other shops in the hood. I had a basic latte with sugar. The latte was made nicely. Prices are very reasonable. read more

A great option! I have only had the filter coffee, but it tastes great. Not sure if they use rotating beans or where they get them from though. Stumbled upon this coffee shop Cus it was one of the only thing nearby that's open. Had chai, opera cake, and their breakfast sausage sandwich. Chai, good flavor. Breakfast sandwich, that cheese just melt in your mouth that goes in harmony with the muffin and sausage. Now, the opera cake. 15seconds in the microwave, holy f. I walked in soaking wet looking for shelter from the rain for myself and my sleeping toddler and he welcomed us in, turned down the already super soft and relaxing music and tells me he has a toddler too. I was visiting Vancouver and wanted to try something other than Starbucks. This place was great! Really gives you friendly and personal service. All the food is made from scratch. I told him I like my Americano strong so he told me how he could make it stronger (pulling the espresso longer). A real barista! And I got a kick out of how he called it a "Canadiano." ;) You could tell many regular customers came in as he knew their orders. It was nice to support an independent store. You should too! read more
