Their crescent rolls and pastries are amazing. Excellent service! Great location in a popular area of the city and love the aroma cafe atmosphere here!

The staff is friendly and polite when they interact with customers. The space provided for the cafe is smaller, but provides a variety of seating. The environment is good for those who need something quick during a work break or to-go/continue on with your day. Being an Italian cafe, give one of the pastries a try. The Bomboloni with Nutella is similar to a sugar donut, however the taste isn't overpowering (if you are a sweets person). The staff is accommodating as they still made a hot chocolate even though it wasn't on the official menu. You should also give the specials menu a chance as the Nocciola Mocha lives up to the hazelnut and sweet flavor.

Disappointed that they removed all of the vegetarian panini from the menu except the Caprese, which was out of stock when I was there. The new vegan verdura wrap that I got instead was 90% couscous inside with only small pieces of "verdura". Decaf americano was also so-so this time, pretty bitter. I'm hoping I just had bad luck with the drink and next time will be great again. The torta caprese was excellent, with a lava-like centre.

The cafe is brightly lit and in a convenient location. Inside it's a bit on the tighter side with seating and number of tables fitting in the space, but my client suggested a meeting there. We found a table for 3 and it worked out. No complaints with the coffee and I was surprised how much I liked the sandwich although on the pricier side at $14.

Bongiorno! WOW - what a cool like dat Italian cafe! Lo adoro! The decor is ahhhhhhh mazing! Giovane Caffè first opened up at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel Vancouver, years ago & then came a second location in Toronto. This location marks the second spot in downtown Vancouver & the third location in Canada. Giovane Caffè is part of the Kitchen Table group of restaurants encompassing - Ask for Luigi (see my review), Carlino, Bacaro at Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel, Di Beppe, Farina a Legna, Pizzeria Farina (see my review), Pourhouse & Super Veloce (see my review). A fine group of company to be amongst - indeed. I find coffee to be very subjective - like how some swear upon their first born that McDonald's has the best burgers or that Tim Hortons coffee rocks - nope I'll pass! Yelpies come try out the classic Italian coffee served here & you decide - based on tasters choice ... right!?! I'm giving Giovane Caffè top marks for ambiance & presentation. Arrivederci!

Very expensive place to have a coffee or a juice .... Prices are exaggerated . Unbelievable 3 normal beverages almost 30 CND. Besides dirty tables . Never to come again !!!

I stopped in for an espresso after visiting the amazing Vancouver Public Library just across the street. Every table has a view outside and there is plenty of light. I also purchased muesli for breakfast tomorrow and was tempted to get one of the interesting salads (wasn't hungry). The staff was super nice to check that there wasn't any coconut in the muesli.

The cappuccino was very good. The service was pleasant and without undue delay. Will try again and maybe up the rating if consistent.

Good aesthetic. Good pastries. Depending on who makes your coffee, could be drinking a well made proper cappuccino.

There was only one family ahead of me when I entered, who was asking questions about bean recommendations. The person at the order counter was really helpful providing them with good information. When it was my turn to order, it was quick since I had already selected beans that I wanted to purchase, and my oat latte. Option was asked if I wanted to dine in or takeout, and I went with the latter. After I got my drink, I took a seat on one of the benches they have outside the store. There's also a decent amount of indoor seating and an outdoor patio section in front of the store. Not my first time trying Nemesis since I've been to Vancouver before, but definitely a reminder of why they are listed as one of the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops. If I wasn't so full from brunch, I would have also gotten one of their pastries. Seeing them all was very tempting.

The gentleman taking my order was friendly and recommended The Queen croissant since I was visiting. It was incredibly flaky, but honestly, I wish I'd ordered something else. It just felt a little too basic. I wanted something that would have excited my tastebuds more. I also tried the viral Mortadella Supreme - a croissant with mortadella, mustard aioli, egg, and Swiss cheese. The sandwich was good, but it wasn't very hot when it arrived, and I expected a bit more from all the buzz. One thing I did notice was the timing. My croissant came out almost immediately after I found a seat, the sandwich took a while, and my latte didn't arrive until I'd already eaten a few bites. The latte ended up being the only thing served hot. That said, I enjoyed the overall experience. The staff was welcoming, they help guests find seating when it's busy, and I can see why it's a popular spot. My first picks just didn't quite wow me, but I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu if I'm ever in Vancouver again.

Staff are friendly and cheerful. No complaints. The doughnuts are a bit pricey but they sure are delicious. I really like "Asian" style doughnuts as they are less sweet than their western counterparts. I had the matcha cream and could definitely taste the matcha. Will be trying their other locations at some point. Recommended.

Every pastry in the case looked beautiful and tempting, making it nearly impossible to choose. The coffee, though--absolutely perfect. Smooth, balanced, and exactly what you want on a crisp morning adventure. Goldie's felt like one of those special finds you don't plan for but remember long after. My boyfriend lined up at 9:30am for a 10am opening and there were already 25 people ahead of him. By the time the store opened, the line was over two blocks long. I heard the line up was up to 2 hours long later that day so to say that Angus T is a hit is a bit of an understatement. This is a cute location where the emphasis is on sweet and savoury croissants but they offer Danish, cinnamon buns, tea, and coffee options. We ordered the limited offering of the strawberry creme croissant plus got a regular croissant, onion jam & bacon, pistachio & raspberry, and ham & cheese. All of these croissants were DELICIOUS and the regular croissant brings me memories of Paris! Yes, they are pricey but at around $1.50 to $2.50 more than a croissant from Starbucks a block away, it is well worth it as a treat. I look forward to tasting more flavours and taking friends here to catch up over a delicious croissant and hot cup of tea. The River District neighbourhood needed a cute café like this and so glad they are finally open. Pro tip: if enjoying the treats at home, reheat the croissants in low heat. They taste better warm!
