    Danish and Latte

Gigi Blin Market Cafe is one of my favourite cafe in the Marpole neighbourhood. It is inside an old building that both the exterior and interior give you a bit of nostalgic feeling. I have been here for a few times for breakfast and coffee. The breakfast croissants, danish and coffee are pretty nice. Hazelnut latte tasted good especially. It is interesting in this time of visit, their staff members and the barista are all Japanese ladies. This made me feel like enjoying an afternoon tea in Yufuin, Kyushu of Japan. If you have been to Yufuin you would know what I meant. This is a lovely cafe for everyday coffee and foods.

Great little coffee corner shop! I was in Richmond/Vancouver for the day and wanted to try a local coffee shop! Coffee was great of course! The sandwiches and baked goods were fresh! I like how the cheese and veggies were kept separately and added them to the sandwich prior to toasting them. It's perfect for those who live nearby because it also serves a mini grocery mart for those small cooking needs.

Came for breakfast on a weekday. Not too busy. We got the breakfast sandwich, a latte and an affogato. Their prices are really affordable. Coffee is really good. The latte art never got destroyed even until when we got to the bottom. That's how you know it was a good latte. Their beans are from Umbria. The croissant breakfast sandwich is very simple. Just ham and a little vegetable. Grilled to crispy perfection and the pickle is the perfect addition. The affogato we got as a little reward for ourselves for breakfast. Ice cream wasn't too sweet and went really well with the espresso. The price is also unbeatable Overall this is such a cute cafe. Staff is super nice. Great neighbourhood vibes. Price is good and the coffee is delicious

I love this place! The coffee is great and they make an amazing chai tea latte. Oh, and they have cute mini biscotti for 50 cents. I haven't tried any of the other baked items, but they look really good. They sell lots of Italian cooking products as well, so next time I need pasta sauce I'll come here. Staff are really nice too!

A wonderful neighborhood cafe serving up very good coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and also has a few grocery items you can pick up while there (like pasta, sauce, ice cream, milk, etc)! My drink of choice there is their mocha and the almond croissants are delicious too and often sell out if you go later in the day. They don't make their pastries/sandwiches in-house though as they specialize in coffee, but their wholesaler for food deserves props too because they're good! They are opened with limited seating at this time and is normally a comfortable place to catch up with friends or do a bit of work. Staff are friendly and keep the tables clean.

Good vibes. A little too busy and noisy sometimes. Good and friendly service. Great food

Another day another coffee shop I love. I've had Gigi Blin on my bookmarks for sometime now. Ive driven by numerous times but never stopped. One day I was in the area. It wasn't busy. Big space, cafe with great selections of groceries and local handcrafted jewelry and such. A group of elderly ladies having a girls coffee date at the communal table, another young lady on her laptop and another enjoying his coffee. Lovely and peaceful. My kind of hangout. I ordered a latte and a pastry, sorry I forgot what it was called but its in my pictures. It was enormous and also yummy. I even had a lady ask me what it was. Buttery and chocolaty. I would get it agin. Coffee was also lovely. I just sat near the window watching the world go by. I will be back.

We had lattes here two mornings while we were visiting Vancouver and their coffee is so smooth and fresh. Coffee connoisseurs--take note! Hot and iced lattes were both delicious as were their chocolate croissants. They even have a liquid sugar pump (simple syrup) for those who want a little sweetness to their coffee without a flavor. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quality cup or coffee or latte!!

A great neighbourhood cafe to come and people watch! I also quite enjoyed all the little market goodies they had on their shelves. The drinks were good but nothing special. We got the cappuccino and matcha latte. It is certainly the ambience of the cafe that makes it a great place to catch up with friends!

Such a great vibe - feels like home - fresh goodies and other quality items and fantastic coffee! Service is top class and friendly! Seriously, if you haven't been... go! Haha this place is a hidden gem in Marpole! *Their panini sandwiches are prepared to perfection..

Reasonable price for coffee and baked goods. The ceiling to floor glass front allows natural light to shine it. The benches and sunlight made this place super cozy for a freezing morning. There were toys and books to occupy the little ones with I enjoyed my coffee. Super friendly staff. Free parking around the corner. Will be back.

This coffee shop at this location in Marpole stands out and attracts people who love coffee. You can't find this type of coffee shop unless you are closer to Cambie, Kitsilano or downtown Vancouver. The latte that we ordered was great. Very artistic! It was not like the regular latte that had a pattern in it. The flavour and texture were great. Hope this coffee shop at this special location can survive and run well. I highly recommend this coffee shop if you drive by Marpole or live around this neighbourhood. Support the local business! ;)

Cute coffee shop! I was excited to finally try because of the ratings. Ordered an iced latte and it was waaay too milky - tasted like coffee flavoured milk and not coffee. However some coffee shops don't do their iced versions as well so next time I will try their hot coffees instead

The concept and stunning visuals completely blew my mind and I knew I had to come by to try this dessert. Their hours are a bit limited as they close at 5pm even on weekends. Luckily, I was passing by in downtown and quickly ran in to grab a couple sandwiches. They were rock solid when the cashier passed them to me, which was perfect as I had to make the trek back to the car before I could unwrap and try it. The sandwich is on the smaller end so I made sure to cherish the $25 I had spent on 2 sandwiches. The inside featured a creamy basil ice cream with frozen strawberries. The strawberries were a bit icy but the cream balanced it out and it was not too sweet. And of course, who wouldn't love a biscoff ice cream sandwich? The basil flavour was unique and interesting and I was glad I got to try this delicious creation. I probably wouldn't have it again, but it is definitely worth a try! The French bakery is also really cute inside, so I do want to come back to experience and in-café experience - maybe at a different location with more parking.

Gary's only allows to order the fresh mango cakes up to one week ahead to ensure they have enough ripe mangos, which I admire their dedication. We ordered the 6 inch cake for 9 people (7 adults and 2 kids) and everyone got a thin to average slice. The cake is definitely prettier than the other fresh mango cakes on the market, has a lot more mangos that are perfectly ripe and sweet, there is less wipped cream, and the sponge cake is softer. The family agreed that Gary's has the best fresh mango cake but at $69 for a 6 inch cake, versus $43 for a 6 inch mango cake from Saint Germaine, a cake from Gary's is definitely a treat and for special occasions. Is Gary's worth the premium price? I think so but not everyone in my family agreed. One thing to note: Gary's do offer cake in a jar that's $8.50 each. When we went, they had a BOGO deal with the mango cake jars. My nephew asked my sister to buy the BOGO deal knowing that the 6 inch cake was not going to be enough, as the kids like having a second slice of cake.
