I got the yams and rutabagas...absolutely delicious! Mom got the green beans and yams, and ate them all. Then she saw the fresh out of the oven banana pudding, topped with meringue...so mom also got dessert and exclaimed over how much it was like what her mom used to make. Salad bar (not pictured) was well loved. We ordered two home style plates with coffee and a side of gravy for each and came in just under $35 with tip. COFFEE was great. Not a fan of the fact they didn't have real whole milk or cold half and half available but not once did any of the staff NOT ask if we needed topped off or more coffee. The sausage patties were solid. They had a bit of a hamburger taste to them so there could be some flat top cleaning that is in order. Eggs were real eggs. The biscuit I wouldn't write home about and the gravy was clearly a powdered mix that had been churched up with the aforementioned hamburger and sausage grease, hit with some pepper and slapped in a 4 oz bowl. Made for a good condiment. Speaking of condiments, everything was clean to the touch. Table, sugar packet holder, napkin dispenser, salt & pepper, the tables, the chairs.
